    Watching his frustration when the line got tangled made me laugh 😂 But also realize how crazy us fisherman get sometime when things don’t go our way! 😂😂 Awesome video

    My favorite videos are when you go out to the wrecks and jig. They are exciting fishing videos. Let’s see a little more of that in the future.thanks and keep up the good work

    I laughed so hard watching you undo that tangle. That’s fishing

    Maybe some horizontal rod storage is in order. Put some clips on the outrigger and keep the spare rods there. Also, can you put a polarizing filter on your camera?

    I thought that triple rap tangle only happened to me. I feel much better seeing it happen to you.

    I was trying to figure out where to put my arsenal of rods on my new flats boat so they don't intertere with casting. Well good luck

    Use a top water type lure. When conditions are like that. Also you can go trolling a little bit further out. That'll catch your fish for you 🙂

      @fishonkayakadventure 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the problem when it's dead flat calm like that is a topwater lure will spook lots of fish when it lands. A soft plastic jerk bait makes a great alternative. if you throw a Zman on a rigging hook it'll ride on top of the water. 1/8oz will glide just under the surface.

    This video was more of a aquatic sight seeing tour than a fishing trip.

    You must have been an eagle in a past life. How do you see so well through water??

    You are the director, the actor, the camera man, and, most importantly, the editor. You could have cut out the "Steve being stupid" moments right out, and nobody would have been the wiser. Most would have made that edit. To your credit, you did not. We've all been there and can feel your pain.

  • @SSHitMan

    You can spot the tails sitting when it's that calm, so why not sit instead of standing? You won't spook them as easily with a lower profile.

    Why not use the fly rod you have sitting right there for a more delicate presentation to those permit?

  • @Backroad_Junkie
    @Backroad_Junkie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Every once in a while, I'll put a lure on the end of the line, start the motor up and let half the line on the reel spool out, and then reel it back in to retention and respool the line so it doesn't come off the front like it's doing to Steve.
    It's hell when it happens to 4lb and 6lb test...

      @johnmcinnes6644 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's right! If you make a long cast and then retrieve under pressure when you move to a new spot, you'll make your life easier. Especially with mono.

    chapstick for wind knots. rub some chapstick on the knot *(before it's super tight) and then work on it a bit and it should slide apart.

    This isn't a fishing show it's a comedy show, just add the Benny Hill Music in the background. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

    dude, sad to see you come undone and frazzled...leave the shore 'stuff'...frustration...base language...tension and the like on the shore...dude, enhance your calm and enjoy the moment...no need to pass on that negative stuff to us...be happy...fishing and catching are two different things
