The dealer just dropped off my 223. I bit of a difference from an 8N! Career Army and police officer, and I admit to being more than a little intimidated by this tractor! I didn't I could be scared so easily anymore.
Seriously, this was a helpful video!!! There aren't too many out there on "basic" operation for beginners like me. Thank you!!!

Good video, best I've found for the SA324 FEL removal.

I don't understand why they would make such a great tractor then mess it up by using a proprietary quick-attach system. That's great if you want to be locked into this brand to supply all your front implements, or if all you will ever use is the bucket - otherwise it's as crazy as selling a tractor with a non-standard proprietary 3pt hitch. I hope they realize this costs them sales.

Proprietary I don't like as it limits you back to dealer only attachments. Do they make an adapter plate for SSA's to go on this tractor as I've got hay forks, pallet forks, stump digger all for Skid steer hookup. Don't want to have to buy all new attachments. Why I won't buy a John deere too!

I have the same tractor, it's a great tractor for my property. Do you plan on doing a 3pt hookup/PTO shaft video?

I am planning on doing a video on the 3PT including how to hookup attachments and 3PT adjustments. As far as the PTO hookup stay tuned I have something in the works that will touch on it. Thanks for watching.

If I may ask about how many acres you have? I am looking at buying 5-15 acres. Is this unit too big for what I need or should I use the 221??

We have 5 acres. I think the 324 would be a good size for 5-15 acres but the type of property you purchase will have an impact on what size tractor you will need. If you plan on using the tractor in a wooded area or to do some brush hogging the 324 and 424 offer significantly more ground clearance than the 221. You won’t be disappointed if you purchase a little more tractor than you need but you will be if you go too small. Once you know what kind of property you are going to purchase talk to your local Yanmar dealer and let them know what you are going to be using the tractor for and get their opinion as well.
