My local yanmar dealer told me that the 50 maintenance can be done by owner and still honors the 10 year warranty reguardless
After pouring over videos, ( this one for example) tech and data sheets, owner reviews, and multiple other sources, I decided to purchase a Yanmar SA324. it is being delivered tomorrow ( 4-2-2022). I considered three other brands, and a couple series within each brand. ( JD, Kubota, Massey Ferguson,). In the end, The SA324 was the clear winner. It's the perfect size, it has much higher capabilities in it's class. It has the BEST warranty, best ergonomics, and best factory representation. ( They were THE ONLY ones who actually responded to my questions and concerns. ) I feel I made a solid decision. Now I can't wait to get my tractor and get to work! 😊

Thank you for this video. My wife and I just purchased a 2019 yanmar 424 with backhoe. We are using it on a 15 acre mountain property and I can tell you after using this machine for the last month that it's an absolute beast. I wish the dealer I purchased it from was as helpful as you. Thanks again and we are now new subscribers to your channel. Also I would like to note this tractor was the 1st ever tractor I've ever owned and used. I bought a 424 back in mid 2016.. I can tell you that I've put 680 hours of hell on that tractor. I'm almost always at capacity and it does it all day long without hesitation. I've drug 4000lb tree trunks on the ground for over a 1/4 mile.. Moved many hundreds of yards of dirt.. Dug out(loader bucket), graded, tilled, disced, post hole dug, two bottom plowed and bush hogged.. Both my 6 year old and 9 year old operate this tractor as well. I have larger tractors on my farm and overall the 424 is my go to. Its fast and efficient. The hydraulics are ultra responsive. All around a great utility tractor.

Another Great Vidio, Mr.Phil. These little "rigs" are almost a "tractor"--- case in point WHERE are the TWO BRAKE PEDALS? The Drive "Ranges" should be a Three-Speed Range Transmission. With 1st @0-4mph,2nd 0-7.5mph, and 3rd 0-12mph; where as the 2 "ranges" are too fast in low, and "high" is just practically just a "medium " range. That "goffy" high-in-the-sky ONE Brake pedal is used for a "parking -brake" only!! The TRANSMISSION IS what makes a Tractor a TRACTOR. Yanmar needs too "Supe " these rigs up. @donaldstrishock3923, you’re a fukin douchebag! No subcompact or small compact has wheel brakes, unless it has a geared transmission, even then, I don’t know of any, so your complaint against Yanmar is either biased or stupid, likely both. Also, none of the tractors in this class have a 3 range hydrostatic transmission. Maybe you should investigate other brands in this class before making jackass complaints!

Very good review. In April 2018 i bought a new J.D.3025, wished I'd known about this machine. I really like how its designed. Very similar to my Deere but a whole lot more tractor. Mine has the Yanmar engine, but because of the Cast Aluminum housings i cannot get a backhoe for mine. I didn't know that when i was dealing for it. The dealership said the could sell me an aftermarket which would hook up to the 3 pt. hitch. I later learned that John Deere wouldn't honor my warranty should i break the tractor. "Go Figure ". I might have to look into these Yanmar Tractors. Can you get these with a Manual transmission or a Shuttle Shift Transmission?? That'd be awesome if they do. Thanks for sharing this information.

What did you like about the Yanmar over the Deere? Just the backhoe option?
@@llru5tynut5ll51 some of the stats were very closely matched with the 424. Lift capacity was the same. Bu,,, my Deere won't pick up near what it says. Suppose to pick 1200#s to full height, mine won't lift 500# 2"s off the floor at full throttle. In order to get a 55 gallon diesel fuel cell off of my truck I gotta drain 20 gallons out of the tote, and then it'll just barely pick it. Cannot pickup a bucket load of gravel or loose dirt. I hafta pickup half a load atta time.
I don't think comparing this to a BX is the right comparison. This is more a B-series and compared to a B2601 it is very similar in every statistic. The SA 221 compares more to the BX series. I only worry that Yanmar has been with Deere and Cub Cadet and now on their own. Not many dealers around, so how can I feel good about buying one if I don't know they will be around next year. Yes I know they have been making engines forever, but that doesn't mean there will be dealers around to service them or parts available in 10 years.

Great video... my question to you is I'm looking at a 2018 324 424 new... I have two and a half acres I think I'm getting a great deal on the 324 out the door $15100 that includes tax and comes with front end loader.... would you happen to know what the warranty on the powertrain on a 2018
You should be getting that 10 yeah drivetrain warranty even though it’s a 2018! Good choice on the 324 it is a class leading tractor, with a good sticker price. If you’re near us at tractor bobs we would love to let you demo one. Have a fantastic evening.

I’d like an honest assessment here. What does the 424 offer over the Deere 3025E Functionally? I’m deciding between these two. I would like sources with any information you site about the Yanmar and Deere. No opinions, or what you have “heard”. Facts only.
The Yanmar FEL Z capacity is 1200 lbs. The JD is 800 lbs. Yanmar has a tighter turning radius and a much longer warranty.
@llru5tynut5ll51, about a $7000 lower price. Actually, this isn’t really a competitor to a 3 series JD. These really compare to the 2 series JD.

Is the 424 worth the $1000 ?
we only have a $600 difference. but it really comes down to what you're going to be using the tractor for. The bigger tires will just perform a little better some terrain. In my opinion considering what I would use this tractor for, I'd be happy saving the 600 and using that toward an attachment.
