    I’m late just pick mine up a few weeks ago but thanks for the detailed video… not many videos are detailed in a way that would help anyone new to the SP in general. Much appreciated

    This is great to know & I didn't realize it'd been updated. The original firmware definitely didn't allow you to resample chromatic/16 velocity samples. Several of the initial reviewers mention it, and I'd never tried with mine because I didn't realize the update had fixed this oversight. So...thanks again!

      I think you could but the combination was so complicated. I remember speaking to the rep at roland about it. I'm glad they've made this a lot easier but this area in general would benefit from a bit more work I think. Hopefully there will be more updates in the future

    Another useful video. This device does so much to help make your tracks more polished. I downloaded one of your packs last night and I'm liking what's in it and plan to do a lofi clarinet or sax type beat very soon. Keep those spvidz coming 👍🏻

    Greetings from Los Angeles I have a question. How does one resample chromatically while resampling over a resampled drum loop.? I’ve only been able to do it while I have a midi keyboard connected. Is there a way to do it without the midi keyboard?

    Any tip for resampling at the right tempo ? Let’s say you want to resample chromatic mode to record a bassline to go with your beat. How do you make sure you’re playing the notes at the tempo of your beat? Can you have the metronome or your drum loop playing while resampling ?

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can set a count in and a metronome for resampling. I haven't tried that on chromatic mode yet though! I'll look into that

    Nice video man, does this hae a built in mic and if so can you record whilst listening to the beat made?

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn't have a built in mic no

    how dio you make a pattern with the chromatic or velocities, i dont want to resample

  • @amstaffyoshi1480
    @amstaffyoshi1480 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I made some patterns in TR REC but noticed after they weren't fixed velocity. Do I have to redo them, not seeing how to edit the velocity?

    • @amstaffyoshi1480
      @amstaffyoshi1480 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think I figured it out! [ROLL] button + [CTRL 3] knob. You can record the motion of [CTRL 3] knob in the steps.
      This is enabled when MODE is “TRIG”. Changed velocity to 128, let it run through and checked via shift pad 2 (16 velocity).

    Is there a way to do chromatic mode with out it being vinyl style algorithm?

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think chromatic mode is just chromatic mode, there are no options at the moment

  • @user-tl6en9vq5x
    @user-tl6en9vq5x 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    They should dobit to where you can do Chromatic mode in the sequencer rather than menu dive. It work like the MPC. That why people are confused. Even Digitakt have to wear it’s a press of a button

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah definitely needs an update to be able to work with the PS

    Unfortunately you cannot sequence anything in chromatic mode, and also you cannot run your beat while doing chromatic resample to keep it in beat. Sorry Roland but this is not it

      @@spvidz it is easier to copy the sample e.g. 16 times and for each copy set different volume :D (still in 2.0.1) to use it in context of existing patterns

      damn, i was trying to figure this out, so stupid that you cant do this without resampling
