    Amazing! Steve literally just prescribed this to me through your online coaching program. If possible, it would be awesome to get some slow motion shots of the swings so they’re easier to digest for us beginners. Love it!!

    This is excellent Eric. Makes the swing feel much more connected and consistant. Can't wait to use it out on the course.

    Eric you bloody legend!! I’ve literally just been doing practice swings in the back garden, and after a while realised that my elbows aren’t together enough. I never realized I had this issue, might explain why I’ve been struggle with my fairway woods of the deck. I felt tighter in the arms like ya man mentioned, but my boy did it feel so much better striking the turf! I’m about your build so power has never been an issue, but I would often collapse my lead arm st the top of my back swing, and I don’t have this problem by squeezing my forearms together. I often wondered about that ball aid that hangs around ya neck and I’ll most definitely be getting one. Such a revelation today and I found your video to back it up. I can’t believe I’ve only just realised this was a big problem I had🤦‍♂️

    Eric your videos are pure gold! The sound and purity of your contact is really inspiring. I would love to see you use shot tracers and numbers technology so that we can see what you mean when you demonstrate half/3/4 shots for speed and reference, especially if you do a short game video. I noticed when you played 9 holes at par video that you mentioned a ‘stock 70 yard shot”. Harvey Pennick pointed out that “excellence in golf is getting up and down in 2 rather than 3” and that deserves a place in the “evergreen HOF”. Which of course is moot if you can’t strike the ball consistently but you cover that and brilliantly in my opinion. I am a certified Rotary Swing Instructor but could never get rid of my chicken wing even though I got down to a 2.7 HCI. (Didn’t start golf until I was 50ish due work/family commitments.) have tried so many techniques!!! Love your stuff!

      Glad to hear that!
      I'd say to feel like you are squeezing your elbows close together tight ENOUGH to get the structure right...but just make sure that your trail arm is "soft"/slightly bent...say 5-15° or so (NOT stiff/dead straight)
      Hope that helps!

      Hey Edward!
      A lot of great players feel like they are squeezing their elbows close together tight right before they start the backswing. A bonus tip would be just making sure that your trail arm is "soft"/slightly bent...say 5-15° or so (NOT stiff/dead straight)
      Hope this helps!

      @@CogornoGolf That is a Great suggestion, the only issue is that your down swing is so fast that when recorded at normal speed, even when you slow it down to 0.25 it's still way too fast to really inspect the hands, arms, torso movements through impact. I really enjoy you videos. They are exceptionally educational. Thanks for your response, it really shows your commitment to the teaching of the game.

    My arms are great in my set-up. The trouble starts at impact when my chicken wing kicks in but only if I'm trying to fly the ball 100+ yards. With wedges, lob & sand, I'm fine & very accurate.

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would need to see your swing on video to say for sure WHY its happening with longer clubs. Send swings to www.cogornogolf.com and we will fix up!

    It says that this is something about the golf swing and your arms that no one ever tells you about and I’m sorry, but I have seen dozens of videos saying the same thing. I’m not putting this gentleman down in the least because he is a professional and he knows what he’s talking about but to have the title say no one ever talks about your elbows and your arms, etc., that’s just 100% wrong and if you don’t believe me, go to search and put in where your elbows be at address

      @@CogornoGolf love your content brother! I go between you and Steve with eureka golf. I’m 57 and lack flexibility. I used to shoot in the low 80’s. I took a few years off and now I hit WAAAYYYY too many fat shots. I used to take the Bruce Litsky approach and found so much comfort in hitting cuts with everything (except wedges of course..I’m not Bubba lol) to eliminate the left side of the golf course. Now all I do is pull the ball and hit fatties. I’m pissed because for two years I’ve tried to correct the problem and no bueno! 👎🏾

      Crossed eye dominant means that a “rightie” has a dominant left eye .It is estimated that 80% of the population is same eyed dominant, while 85% of the players on the PGA Tour are crossed eyed dominant with both John Rahm and Tony Finau same eyed dominant.
      In order to make a full shoulder turn most golfers need to rotate their head after about 9:00. Those golfers who are crossed eyed dominant are more likely to able to rotate their heads while continuing to see the ball through their opposite eye.
      Some crossed eyed golfers such as Jack Nicklaus actually prerotate their heads at setup . This simplifies the swing by eliminating any head head rotation that accompanies a full shoulder turn.
