10.0 player here, here are some tips I've learned, I will try and edit this if any more come to mind: - Flank, don't be predictable. - If you peek a corner and some is there, there's a good chance they saw/heard you so do not peek out again. - Never peek with your barrel facing the open corner, if your barrel is shot, you are screwed. - Don't be the first guy to make the move, if you have a good position, hold it. Wait for the enemy to make a mistake. -You need to camp when you're in a good spot. -Turn off your engine whenever you can. You'll still be able to move even if you just start your engine. - Put yourself in the position of your enemy if you're in a standoff, be aware of your surroundings, where you can be killed from, especially if you're in an urban setting where there's many openings. - Shoot down planes/helicopters whenever you get the chance. - Don't let your teammates die, you will not clutch the win if all your teammates die. Help repair when you can, tow them to a safe position if you have to. - Don't take just a single ammo type, you mostly need APFSDS, but do take HE (especially if it's high penetration). This is because some light tanks tend to survive many dart shots (example being Wolfpack). - Take your time, play with a friend, this game can either make/ruin your afternoon or whenever you play. I struggle with this one personally, I get too invested in a match just for it to go to shit, and it messes with me. The people who you fight might be your allies in the next match so don't hold grudges. - (edit #1 tips) - Think of this game as a third person shooter (this tip mostly applies to ground realistic battles). In third person shooters, you typically don't aim in with your sights when you are very close to an enemy. You should do the same for War Thunder, aiming in and fixing your gunner sights takes time and in desperate situations, it can mean life or death. What I personally have started doing is to not aim in even when I am safe to do so. My reaction time has improved noticeably and I win more fights up close. - You can also do this if you see an enemy plane/heli. It seems more effective at aiming in, as you can move the turret, similarly to how you would play a SPAA. This is not a guarantee and luck is a major aspect, but compared to aiming in, it's easier to follow a flying target especially if it's flying in a line in any directions. Edit #2 Tips: - Stay hulled down or hide behind a hill (any type of solid cover works) as much as possible. - When sniping, hide after shooting so you have less chances of being shot back in case you miss or land a non-lethal shot. Don't leave cover unless you're absolutely certain there aren't other enemies in your line of sight. - Usually when a match at a high BR starts, there's typically one or two helicopters on either team, stay in cover or avoid being in an open field. If you see a helicopter directly facing you, there is a good chance it fires missiles at you, sometimes you won't see them, it's best to smoke out and get to cover. You can also do this if you're being targeted by a plane. - This one is kinda funny, if you have a laser rangefinder on your tank, you can use it to scare enemy helis into backing off, since they cant distinguish between getting lasered by anti air or tanks, they will likely end up changing their positions. - DO NOT ANGLE IN TOP TIER. I find myself doing this a lot. Angling typically works for WW1/WW2 tanks, but do not angle so that your tracks are facing the enemy. In fact, always face your enemy with your front turret + hull. - Playing objective is important, but dying trying to capture a point is not a good use of your time/tank. What I see a lot of people doing is ignoring obj, playing team death match, only towards the middle/end of the match do people start capturing. You put yourself at risk of getting artillery strikes, bombed, killed by an enemy who knows where you are. Edit #3 tips: - Whenever you're in a situation where you and an enemy are separated by a corner of a wall, you might think to just wait it out until someone makes a first move, if like 30 seconds passes, take it as a hint that the enemy won't come towards you either. Most people aren't patient enough (some are silly so they'll just peek in front of you, make sure your barrel is facing them in case they do decide to pull up in front of you). Some smart enemies will try and confuse you by going the opposite way or moving back into a different position so they can shoot you when you peek. BE RANDOM, BE PREPARED, for CQC (close quarters) you do not want to be predictable. The best thing to do in that situation is reverse in a diagonal line away from the corner, meaning, you slowly start seeing the area behind the corner more and more (without exposing yourself to the enemy). You move back further enough, there's a very high chance the enemy will peek, that's when you deliver the kill shot or take out their barrel. If you do manage to take the barrel out, and the enemy is retreating, don't chase directly after then unless you're sure they're alone. If you notice them firing their machine gun at your direction, they're telling nearby teammates about your location. If that happens, you absolutely need to go around the building. - I know the first tip I gave was to flank, here's tips on how to do it better. FLANK immediately when the match starts, don't be late, every second counts, don't run into teammates (pray that they don't run into you), don't run into objects that will slow you down, have a destination in mind (as in, what the rush is for), keep in mind for helis, if you're ahead of your teammates (therefore closer to the heli, so it will most definitely shoot at you first). Don't hang around the same spot after getting kills (unless it's very op, some maps have good camping spots), move around a bit so you keep the enemy guessing. Assist teammates by pinging enemies you see but can't attack, (scout them if you're in a light vehicle).
saying 10.0 player here doesn’t get you far 10.0 and 10.3 is the major premium player range, your advice is pretty much what you learn when you start playing the game and the shoot down planes/helicopters whenever you can i heavily disagree with that will give your position away immediately and i am a 11.7 Germany 11.3 Russia, 12.0 Japan and pretty much at least 5.0 in every nation, so yeah i think i know a thing or two about your advice being something you learn pretty early on
@@ishouldbedead4950 I mean, much of the advice I gave can be applied to any BR battle. I just think that people should play the game more seriously and carefully so that they don't have a bad experience.
Hey, 6.7 br here. I played it for fun and joked around mostly but now I'm facing trouble in keeping up. Whenever I wait patiently near the point no one comes to me. I get 0 kills it's very annoying
@@SteinersCounter I suggest being random, I used to have the same problem, I rushed objective, I die. I camp objective I die. What I found is that flanking objective seems to work well. You basically rush to go to next the objective, wait for the enemy to either advance/capture a point. They will be preoccupied with areas in front of objective where your teammates are coming from. Additionally, I find it better to shoot the sides of tanks, if you can't penetrate an enemy front turret/hull armor, you can still shoot their barrel. That gives you plenty of time to shoot their tracks, virtually immobilizing them. Another thing you should avoid doing is that if your barrel and tracks get shot, don't move as doing so will expose your side armor to the enemy, always try to face your enemy, wiggle your tank as tank shots around 6.7 BR can be deflected via turning the tank side to side.
@@Sniping-Sniper holy shit this worked. I went from 11-16th place to 3rd and 2nd place finishes. I can't thank you enough, I got one last problem though if you can help. You know these sniper maps like the desert ones. The enemies like put their upper halves where it's very hard to pen. Also they just shoot you so fast that I don't even have time to calculate the range. Do you have like a trick to guess ranges fast and pen these people? Once again thank you ❤
Another thing with the squad ping is you can use it to estimate long distances if you don't have a rangefinder, especially in a lower br and also to get a better sense of a map you're not familiar with, pinging a place and looking where it is on the map
The absolute greatest asset is a good headset I would have never gotten a single nuke if I didn’t hear the enemies flanking or just hear where they are anyway
Just going to put this out there, just because you do not have an actual squad friend, doesn't mean you SHOULD keybind it to less used keys, it is 100% helpful to use squad mark with binoculars to mark and then open mini map to ping the mark to notify other teammates the enemy tank is there on the exact location you spotted them even when that squad mark is invisible to your teammates.
@@J.G.WentworthI just prefer high tiers to be honest. I mean I play US GRB and am liking the ability to pen anything I see. I mean it works both ways but if I’m in a good spot then I have a lot of fun. My games always go snipe until a flank opportunity opens and then see if I can get some kills off flank or a cap. It doesn’t always work out but it’s gotten me into higher tiers pretty quickly playing that way due to there being a lot of players who don’t pay as much attention as they should.
A tip that I strongly like is: Know your nations advantages, and weaknesses. USA is an all around nation, however since we are talking about ground, we will only be mentioning tanks; Abrams and the rest of combat vehicles, excel in ambush sniping, take the wide flank that benefits you with hills, binos are very useful if you are concealed by a hill as you can scout for any enemy vehicles that aren’t aware of you, yet. Use binos to scout and lineup your shots before you crest the hill to fire, and as you fired, back up and move to a new location so you don’t expose yourself Germany: plays closely similar to USA but is better suited for mid-range engagement and has better turret armor, make use of cover, and always stay hull down. Russia: Slow, heavy, but well armored, Russia plays very well in mid to close range engagement so long as you are angled or hull down, if your tank has a dozer and the cap is on mostly dirt, dig a hole, hide your hull, and have your gun sit just slightly above the ground since your turret is not as tall as other nations, great nation if you want up close and personal, while being a strong cap contender/defender. Britain: Slow, not so maneuverable but well armored, great ammo types, Britain is an amazing tank nation if you are all about being the support; Britain is stronger against lightly armored tanks due to HESH rounds, utilizing this will help defend your team against pesky BMPs, HSTVLs, and other light armored vehicles including AAs. With that said, know what your nation is good at, each nation has their advantages and disadvantages. If you’re not sure exactly how to make the best of your tanks, always wiki them and learn it.
The smoke on is so true, lemme paint a picture of something that happened to me I was playing Sherman 76, I’ve got a teammate next to me and am lining up for a shot when bam, he gets hit in the driver, and lets out all of his smoke I’m blind, he’s blind, but the enemy had me lined up so he took me out and them my teammate. Some people need more then the help we can give them
For me, I like to keep my speed of sound on, it's always cool to hear the sound effects of the GAU-8 coming 1 second after my teammate gets obliterated.
"Enjoy it" when at least half the time of the game you just die in an absurd way and after that the game sh*ts on your head for dying with repair costs. As someone on 10.0 br and about 8 years in wt (with multiple pauses and changed accounts and not even a cent invested) I have to yet find a way to enjoy the game. I'm not having fun even when being first with like 10 kills and 1 death. Over the years I feel like the game is getting worse and worse every year. Its not the game I loved as a 13 yo kid anymore. Its becoming fortnite 2.0 (community included) made by a corporate greedier than EA. Never before have I been considering uninstalling it and actually leaving the game for good like in a last few months. Just like one of my friends did. His 4th year without wt and he almost doesnt know the game exists. "Enjoying it" or "having fun" is not a tip, its a product, a feeling that the game should give you and something you should force yourself to do for better performance.
5:57 One thing to note; while your gun reticle (small circle) may be visible in binocular view, your shell can sometimes get caught on terrain or objects because of volumetric, so it is important to adjust for how you think your shell will interact with the terrain, but not overextend using this feature. 7:42 There are a few tanks where it doesn't really matter how much ammo you carry. Some tanks (namely the late 76 shermans with the wet ammo storage,) have very small profile ammoracks, and are very unlikely to be blown up unless somebody is actively aiming there. It can be worthwhile to store a few extra rounds, but find having a bunch of smoke shells at your disposal is a great tactic I think the situational ammo loadouts best fit with my ARL-44. Since it shares a similar first stage ammo storage as the tiger 2, its easy to blow up when faced from the side, unless you're taking like only 6 or 7 rounds. There is also an extra ammo storage that lines the backside of driver and machine gunner in the hull, and since the hull is so armored, nothing but the most penetrating rounds get through. Unless a turret penetrating round overpressures, every APHE shell's explosion and spall can actually be soaked up by the hull ammo storage, and it actually acts like additional armor inside the vehicle. Ofc, almost all other vehicles do have to worry about vulnerable ammo racks, but it may be worthwhile to observe where your ammo is in test drives, and take as many as you believe is safe. Worst case scenario, you can always take less if ammo detonations are still a problem for you 22:00 Smoke is generally situational, but 1 rule I go by is only use defensive smoke as your last hope. Basically, if you are unable to fight back and have no friendlies around, only then use smoke. Smoke shells are also an important note. Sure, you can use them like smoke grenades, but they are actually really great for blinding a enemy positions as well. I've found great use for them on my jumbo, using the low profile ammorack yet large storage and having upwards of like 20 smoke shells ready to lob at an enemy that is at a threatening position or distance. Its a tactic I've rarely seen used, yet it is suprisingly very effective.
really fps like mindset. i use it similar way. especially on potentially camped passageway. Smoke is crucial for crossing to the sides or middle of camp friendly map like berlin
Agree hard on the smoke one, even at 11.7 I'll be advancing with a teammate, he'll get disabled and then smoke. Because he's just smoked now i can't see the guy that shot him, i get taken out by that same guy and then the teammate dies right after because he was already disabled. Had they not smoked i could have rushed the guy that shot him and killed him, then repaired my teammate. Because he smoked, both of us died. This happens FAR too often with both American and Russian teammates. The only time to smoke is what you said + avoiding missile CAS and/or using smoke as a bait or distraction, I'll sometimes fire off smoke in one direction to get enemies looking there, then flank and kill them. Works especially well on cap points (if you're alone)
Another great use of smoke is to use smoke shells to help you cross sight-lines. Or to blind an enemy in a camped out position. Of course bearing in mind of your teams needs and capabilities.
Also don’t push ahead of your team alone. I see so many ppl race out ahead and just die. Move with the team. Wait for your team to spawn to see if the majority went to one side. You don’t want to be the only one going C if the whole team went A.
I agree. I see a lot of times a bunch of guys drive back to a cap separately and get killed one by one. Sometimes a 5 second pause to let another fellow catch up and you both overwhelm the defenders
Sometimes sticking to a flank that’s not being trained by the whole team isn’t a bad idea though. I find myself taking back ups in my line up to the opposite side of the map that the majority of my team is on, usually in a light tank, and getting good scouts and good kills because the enemy’s just aren’t paying enough attention to that flank. It nets easy kills in 2nd spawn on open maps and can get you your CAS especially if you die early which can always happen no matter how good you are. It’s just a part of the game.
I'd rather race out a head and possibly just die then play with the team, get no kills, and waste a massive amount of time. I'm more likely to get kills that way before the entire enemy team gets wiped before I see them. It's better to die quickly and go back to hanger to get in another game then waste the whole game getting nothing. I'd probably play definitely if I didn't only have very limited amount of time to play so every game where I get no rp is a massive waste for me.
@@TainyaGaming Patience can net you a lot of kills on a flank though, if you’re unseen going down a flank and you just sit behind a building where you know they’ll drive by, it’s easy picking from there.
One more thing about the squad ping is that it allows you to accurately mark a team ping by sight instead of guessing where it is on the map. And I would add that bringing a lineup to respawn with increases your rewards and speeds up the grind by getting more wins. You can even get free kills while getting spawn camped. The biggest contributor to poor rewards and a painful grind is leaving after one death.
Smoke saved my life yesterday when I was fighting against two tanks. Managed to flank one and kill him, other one died a bit later. On light tank I am using smoke when I am retreating from position and I know I may be shot in the back, so I am using it to cover my movement back to different position. Very nice hints, thanks for clip :-)
Most important thing: Go to controls / common, asign a key to "show mouse curser" / in match you can click directly on the minimap / use this to actively communicate enemies to your teammates. Also, if you are repairing and an enemy is close by, report it via click on the minimap. I've seen people complain that nobody helps them repair - dont expect it if you can not tell where to expect the enemy from. I'd rather let you die than go in to help you blindly and risk getting killed in the process. You can even report where you have been killed from during the few seconds after the killcam.
I've been playing war thunder for over 10 years now and I think your guide videos are some of the best I've seen. There isn't a lot that you said that I really learned anything from just because of how much experience I have but these are all great things for new/unexperienced players to know. As for smoke, I find that the cannon smoke shells are underused. It is a great way to block your opponent's site allowing you to push up and/or push to a better location. I use it a lot for helping me to advance towards a capture point that I know is highly contested, get on the point, and get out before they can find me.
Don't buy the premium Leo 1 at any nation unless you want to suffer. You won't see any down tier at all, and you will almost always get sucked to 10.0/10.3 BR.
A very interesting thing I noticed when rangefinding is that around 2 seconds before finishing finding the range. A crew member (not sure whether its the commander or gunner) would should a number (for example "6 hundred!"). So listen to your crew as they can also spot tanks.
15:22 speed of sound actually does make a difference. For vehicles like SPAA or helis it means you can't hear a fast jet coming towards you until it has passed you, which is a disadvantage. Turning it off is the best way to go in terms of maximizing performance but its also really cool to have on lol
Man I love your videos. I just found you about an hour ago I've seen 3 videos and they're all damn good. It's awesome that you coach players, you're the only war thunder streamer I've came across that actually coach and not just play and talk shit. You gotta follower outta me in 3 vids. Keep up the bad ass content brother!
Some great tips there bud, I was an alpha tester so been playing a long while, I think your line up is so important to helping your team win. I have so many games where I see 1 or 2 deaths and players gone, you get 2 tanks and a AA with out even doing anything but dying (This happens to most of us some times). An AA can get you back in the game, at low level the Russian bread Van (ZiS-12) has got me so many caps and back in the game to help for a team win. Have as many crews as you can, I go with 8 or 9, One bomber, One fighter, 2 light, 2 med, 1 heavy, 1 AA and TD, then you can pick what the map and battle needs. This will help you plug holes in the line or get that cap for the win. See you on the battlefield. FuBaR-Lordlyn
I play with callenger mk2 only in the lineup and I usually leave after one death. There is no point for me ro risk more repair costs just because the game likes to sh*t on your head for dying. I and everyone else who does it do it for a reason. I will gladly change my style of playing when gaijin actually fixes their game instead of milking it.
Started getting into the game. Have an ok match. Arcade is fun sometimes. Lots of hits few kills. Realistic, I use binos and most the time just get shot from people out or sight. I play slow and stay with team and I’m the one who gets killed. Pain in the ass, trying to get next Pz4
My lineups are more like eras, but for most of them, I have a great variety. I have at least 2 tanks for each purpose so 2 main tanks, 2 heavy tanks, 2 tank destroyers, and 2 light tanks.
I only use smoke shells to try and disrupt a distant enemy. Usually, if they have me pinned down, I'll try to smoke between us so I can move to another place without getting shredded the second I pop out.
I've been accused of wallhacking cause I heard an opponent coming and been ready before they see me, I held 2 cap points on Breslau by myself and went on a 10 kill streak thanks to being able to hear the enemy tanks
also an addition to the squadmarker stuff if you dont know the distance mark them and use the grid squares on the map to gauge your distance.only recommended for tanks with long reloads.
The worst thing about the game is not dying. It is the silver grind. Once or twice a year you can buy 1 year premium at 50% off. Doing that will remove the silver grind because with premium you can not go under 0 silver in a match. Meaning in most setting you will gain silver and you can play whatever you want and how you want without negatives to the silver account.
honestly, unless i know that the enemy is disabled or hasnt noticed my present, I never 3rd person shoot just because it makes my fps worse as i have a potato laptop and most of the time as i play chinese tanks the vertical speed is really bad
that is true one of those things I kinda forgot about when making the video is people with lower end PCs the shot delay from low FPS will most likely make you miss.
hey now with germany got leopard 2a7v and will get boxer plus eurofigther in the future do u think it will be better or is better right now then sweden that has gripen, 122s and gripen e in the future
Binocular-shooting was a valid tactic when I was in the army and commanding a Leapard A2 but that's a modern tank and I don't see how it would be possible with any ww2-tank tbh.
I have the SteelSeries Arctis 7 and i can hear everyone very clearly and i can hear the exact posision the enemy is in if they are close enough. I strongly reccomend this headset and it is wireless
squad ping works in smoke as well ping an open area then smoke your position so you only know how to see in smoke and drive out the area and flank while your enemy sits and waits till the smoke clears and finds out your right behind them with your crosshairs on them😅
👍. Good advice. Never really bothered with knowing what br match I was in. Until I watched this. Dam. Run 30 matches in the ru. Mostly 8.3 / 8.0. The odd 7.7 battle. No 7.3 matches. Ru. Not a 8.0 / 8.3 tank. Ran a few others br’s. Dam I get uptiered a lot. Usually .7 to a full br higher. No wonder the armour & guns on most tanks I run mean absolutely nothing….. yeah map pings. Wow. It’s one thing that is just about nonexistent in rank 3 & above. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve died because the team doesn’t ping reds…. Doing a vid on capping bases & vehicles can move forward…. It’s becoming the meta not to cap & the blue team can’t move or just forget that the vehicle can actually go forward. I don’t care if players / bots camp, but if they haven’t moved for 5 mins…. Well then u know it’s a bot…
if you ever feel like you're not doing well or improving after you've started playing ground rb, dont feel bad about it. It takes a long time to get better at GRB and even longer to get used to the vehicles that you're gonna be using and facing against. Sometimes you'll have a insane killstreak and get 5 kills and sometimes you get sniped from a spot you didnt know existed, for that, try going to those spots yourself, learn it and see if its something that your tank can or cant do. This game is annoying and addicting, guides like these are not gonna make you better instantly, at the end of the day, its the amount of effort in learning from your mistakes and trying new things that will make you a better player in any modes.
Something that really annoys me, as a player who almost always uses binocular shooting, is that they aren't stabilized. So all my muscle memory from low tier doesn't translate in to height tier.
What I can't stand, and I hearing a lot of players gripe about, I being a 1.0 BR and getting stuck in games with half the opposing team is 3 or 4 BR and just getting slaughtered
5.1 audio so you know exactly where the sound is coming from. If you hear somebody say "Attack the D point", just quit back to hanger. That team is going to lose and they are not worth your time.
rangefinding thru Bino should be banned.. its pointless.. commander view is OK, gunner view, is OK.. Bino should give you range, but not the autorange. Bino shooting as well.. its total cancer on high BR.
looking at the minimap I feel is the most important, how many times have I died because a teammate did'nt take the second it takes to look at the map ping
nice video what i agree with the most is smoke, ur totally right and what i think you should not do is play planes with squadron research a top tier tank and get a premium.... i hate when new players do that because the next maybe even 48 hrs in grb they are gonna be bad and ruining the game. I get these ppl every game and i know were fucked when i see many premiums or squadrons
Because gaijin's CEO wants to buy one more golden ferrari and for some reason he chosen "milking the whales" instead of "growing happy community" strategy (russian economy school, how unexpected). Therefore they have to find every possible way to mentally pressure you into giving them money for a bit less painful grind...
What i dont understand .. i have m1 a1 click/bait , m1kvt and m1a1 sim with talisman and every match with 3-4 kila and 1-2 bases i reive just 7k research points….
ngl tho. I sometimes get the first shot off but I realised, (not sure about higher BRs), that almost all the time when I shoot someone and they shoot me at the same time and we are supposed to trade (for example my T-34 shot a 50mm Pumi), they shot will just vanish if I die but theirs wont : L
not too related but nice 8.0 lineup the magach 5 is goated so much i dont understand why the magach 5 is 8.0 but the german M48A2 G A2 is 8.3 even tho the magach 5 is like better since it has ERA from what i remember the german one has the better cupola that cant be penned by auto cannons but it dosent have era so i dont understand that too much
@DawgIVLife My dude, I play every day. One day Gaijin announced they have banned 40,000, Chinese accounts. Not 40 000 total accounts, just Chinese accounts. That's more than most games get daily active. I am online when this happens and I can see the difference in the user count. Again, because I play every day and I know how many people play at which time of day, like a normal online game. THE VERY NEXT DAY, that user count is right back to its usual number as though nothing had ever happened. 40 000 accounts is 1/3 to 1/5 the average daily user peak in WT. Thats just one example of such things occurring. How much more proof is necessary?
@@iamperplexed4695They didn't ban 40k accounts that was a rumor that was started actually go look at the ban report and also look up what Confirmation Bias is and learn to look out for it.
I am stil pissed at them nerfing binoculars when they brought out commander sight, I do not understand why binos had to lose thermals, I mean, there are binoculars with thermal sight, or easier, you can attach a bino to a thermal camera and by turning with the binos you can turn the camera thus making geting out of the vehicle to look with binos obsulete, ye not quite realistic but face it, war thunder is not realistic either, no front exists without soldiers and support vehicles
I agree with the first part but the second one about realistic stuff just screams that you (like many many other people) don't know the difference between realism and authenticity. War thunder is a realistic arcade (with many errors and inaccuracies) and not an authentic simulator game. For example, post scriptum is authentinc game. You play as a soldier from a certain unit, with authentic equipment, that fought in the exact place of your map location. Thats authentic. Me placing slovak insignia on challenger in wt, imagining that slovakia bought challenger and uses it IS realistic but not authentic.
I disagree with the stuff about smoke, if you are hit and smoke will make it harder for the enemy to shoot you, you should use it if you have it. If your team mates are so close to you that your smoke annoys them or blocks them from shooting, they are too close (spacing is important to avoid cas strikes, allows the covering of more angles and makes it harder for the enemy to observe/target multiple tanks at once). Smoke is something that people don't use enough.
10.0 player here, here are some tips I've learned, I will try and edit this if any more come to mind:
- Flank, don't be predictable.
- (edit #1 tips)
- Think of this game as a third person shooter (this tip mostly applies to ground realistic battles).
Edit #2 Tips:
- Stay hulled down or hide behind a hill (any type of solid cover works) as much as possible.
Edit #3 tips:
- Whenever you're in a situation where you and an enemy are separated by a corner of a wall, you might think to just wait it out until someone makes a first move, if like 30 seconds passes, take it as a hint that the enemy won't come towards you either.
I have squad ping and rangefinder bound to the same thing. That would be one of my own tips

true, but good headset is still vital imho. It still helps in many situations, just not always when it should.
Even with headset i find it really difficult to locate the enemy
Like nice that i can hear them but i still dont know where the sound is comming from
Just going to put this out there, just because you do not have an actual squad friend, doesn't mean you SHOULD keybind it to less used keys, it is 100% helpful to use squad mark with binoculars to mark and then open mini map to ping the mark to notify other teammates the enemy tank is there on the exact location you spotted them even when that squad mark is invisible to your teammates.

A tip that I strongly like is:
Know your nations advantages, and weaknesses.
Use binos to scout and lineup your shots before you crest the hill to fire, and as you fired, back up and move to a new location so you don’t expose yourself
Germany: plays closely similar to USA but is better suited for mid-range engagement and has better turret armor, make use of cover, and always stay hull down.
The smoke on is so true, lemme paint a picture of something that happened to me
I was playing Sherman 76, I’ve got a teammate next to me and am lining up for a shot when bam, he gets hit in the driver, and lets out all of his smoke
I’m blind, he’s blind, but the enemy had me lined up so he took me out and them my teammate.
Some people need more then the help we can give them
For me, I like to keep my speed of sound on, it's always cool to hear the sound effects of the GAU-8 coming 1 second after my teammate gets obliterated.
not cool for your teammate tho 💀
I think the best tip is to enjoy playing the game and actually grinding not miserably
How can you make the game enjoyable?
5:57 One thing to note; while your gun reticle (small circle) may be visible in binocular view, your shell can sometimes get caught on terrain or objects because of volumetric, so it is important to adjust for how you think your shell will interact with the terrain, but not overextend using this feature.
7:42 There are a few tanks where it doesn't really matter how much ammo you carry. Some tanks (namely the late 76 shermans with the wet ammo storage,) have very small profile ammoracks, and are very unlikely to be blown up unless somebody is actively aiming there. It can be worthwhile to store a few extra rounds, but find having a bunch of smoke shells at your disposal is a great tactic
I think the situational ammo loadouts best fit with my ARL-44.
Worst case scenario, you can always take less if ammo detonations are still a problem for you
22:00 Smoke is generally situational, but 1 rule I go by is only use defensive smoke as your last hope.
Of course bearing in mind of your teams needs and capabilities.
love how every tip video I find they are always using top tiers. yeah like ima just download the game hop on 11.7s.
Recommend binding squad marker to the same button as laser rangefinder
I don't see the benefit in high tier
@@gandalfdafavela1044there’s a lot of game before you get to top tier
One less key press I have to press hell yeah thanks
Play the game for ten years and memorize all the sniping spots on the map
WHO IS TURNING OFF THEIR MINI MAP ?!?!
Useful tip 1:Use the freelook when doing risky moving
Useful tip 2:Sometimes play arcade to learn your gun
9.3 is a very hard br with a lot of uptiers
totally agree with this, when i researched leo 1a5 i could not stop getting uptiers until i finally made it to the leo 2a4.
Yeah and I, the Sherman enjoyer, will maul you from 1,700 meters and cackle.
Smoke is my pet peeve too. I forget I have smoke when my vehicle even has it.
A very interesting thing I noticed when rangefinding is that around 2 seconds before finishing finding the range. A crew member (not sure whether its the commander or gunner) would should a number (for example "6 hundred!"). So listen to your crew as they can also spot tanks.
An old ish pair of headphones made me so much better, especially in cities or reduced visibility, like forests. It make the game more fun as well
I listen to music while playing tbh, as a german main, i am already legally blind and deaf, so its not like ill get any worse
15:22 speed of sound actually does make a difference. For vehicles like SPAA or helis it means you can't hear a fast jet coming towards you until it has passed you, which is a disadvantage. Turning it off is the best way to go in terms of maximizing performance but its also really cool to have on lol
They should force speed of sound to be enabled that's crazy
no
I use enemy smoke to flank I also use the MGs to mark known enemy positions. You also have some really good tips lined up here

Bro im good at naval and air but when i try playing ground i just do 3 rounds with no kills then switch to arcade and ragequit
The happiness i felt when I realized i can have fun while playing rb instead of arcade (it took 4 matches to get a good one)
Always move after shooting, like the DF105 has insane reverse speed so it can easily back away from a gunfight making it very lethal and fast
I use smoke to troll people like Dawg.
Good thing you will never know its me in game.
Best advice, no need to got map knowledge just 60fps and go to mid beetween a and b or b and c.
My typical ammo count is typically 16 to 21, but if a tank has a blowout rack I will bring the rack number +3 more rounds.
honestly, unless i know that the enemy is disabled or hasnt noticed my present, I never 3rd person shoot just because it makes my fps worse as i have a potato laptop and most of the time as i play chinese tanks the vertical speed is really bad
that is true one of those things I kinda forgot about when making the video is people with lower end PCs the shot delay from low FPS will most likely make you miss.
@DawgIVLife nah it's all good unless it's really bad you can still 3rd person shoot just that not as great as great as other people

My tip: don’t move. You’ll just get killed by someone who’s not moving
rangefinding thru Bino should be banned.. its pointless..
commander view is OK, gunner view, is OK..

How do you get in realistic ground battles
What I would like to know is why every time you switch tanks that you have to buy a new crew?
it’s not buying a new crew, it’s like “training” them to use that new tank
Because gaijin's CEO wants to buy one more golden ferrari and for some reason he chosen "milking the whales" instead of "growing happy community" strategy (russian economy school, how unexpected). Therefore they have to find every possible way to mentally pressure you into giving them money for a bit less painful grind...

@@DawgIVLife thank you and dang it's for us only. I seen China had something similar. I'd like to get that kinda cammo for China and USSR.

my swedish tank can never destroy cannons, always my heat and sabot just do not destroy when they hit
didnt know mordecai plays wt
How do you combat the massive amount of Chinese cheaters in the game?
Be better then the cheaters which tbh is not that hard to do.
@@DawgIVLife If you say so.
@@iamperplexed4695 just asking why do you think there is a massive amount of Chinese cheaters? Never really find people who can prove it
@DawgIVLife My dude, I play every day.
I hate how the ww2 tanks feel more agile than cold war and modern tanks.
I bring like 14 to 17 rounds
Can you be my teammate? No player in the years I have played has listened to any of my pings or have pinged themselves.
6:01 bro my aim is easier when using the Binoculars
I disagree with the stuff about smoke, if you are hit and smoke will make it harder for the enemy to shoot you, you should use it if you have it. If your team mates are so close to you that your smoke annoys them or blocks them from shooting, they are too close (spacing is important to avoid cas strikes, allows the covering of more angles and makes it harder for the enemy to observe/target multiple tanks at once). Smoke is something that people don't use enough.
