For Tip #3: Don’t hit the brakes when you encounter an enemy, but don’t hold the “w” key either. Instead, let go of the “w” key and let your tank slowly drift to a stop. This will minimize the bounce in your gun. That’s actually what I did in the video at 1:54, although it wasn’t explained very well. Also, if you’re unable to penetrate an enemy frontally and you have no way of getting around to the side, shoot the enemy’s barrel which will disable it from firing.
US guns being physically incapable of taking out gun barrels: (fr every shot i fire that hits the barrel does NOTHING to it.... i can take out the breach which is just as effective tho so i guess no big deal?
Some vehicles (usually incredibly fast ones like the German Puma at 3.3) have what I call speed stabilization, where you're going so fast that the game doesn't have time to calculate the jerking of the suspension (or you're going so fast that you're skipping over bumps) so that the bounce is very minimal and you can fire on the move very easily. I should also note that some vehicles at low tier (usually American Sherman's and the chaffe) have a built in stabilizer that stabilized your gun up to a certain speed so going at that speed when you expect to find enemies (middle of the map or you hear engines) can bring you a lot of advantage in firing on the move.
additional tip: to make firing on the move easier without a stabilizer you can research the suspension modification since it makes the ride relatively smoother
I love how you can get within ball sniffing distance of the enemy spawn and not be on their radar but I can be 89 mailed away and I’m lit up on their radar like a Christmas tree
one if the things that massively helped me in urban combat is, if in doubt just hold the angle, i remember when i was getting used to ground rb i kept on blindly charging and dying to people around corners, and this helped me to slow down my very aggresive playstyle
Frontally, sometimes shooting out the barrel is your best bet. For side shots, if you don’t think you can oneshot, sometimes going for the breach is better than the gunner. Against people rounding corners, the front sprocket of the side facing you. A bit dependent on what you’re fighting. But can be easier to hit than the barrel at times.

Amazing tips and well made video, I have one more tip to add: Be a rat, no matter what tank you are, take tight corners or find shadowed/dark areas near enemy movement routes to hide in. I did this with my tiger 1, 6 kills. Be a ratty rat.
I'd suggest crippling a turretless tank by taking out it's ability to move. If you don't know where the weak points are then destroy the barrel. The frontal armor is most likely insanely thick. The sides though are gonna be your best bet at taking one out
Re Tip 3, just let go of the throttle, or your W key. Don't need to keep holding it, in fact it can be detrimental to continue holding it rather than letting go.
"You should've gone for the head" - Thanos. Always go for the head if you know your gun can pen it. Especially if you have HEAT, which has high pen but sub-par post pen damage.
I think it’s also important to note the position of the enemy gunner, cause I’ve gone for turret shots so many times with AP shells and just killed the loader/commander.
Great Video, however instead of calling the 4th Point "Flanking" i'd call it brawling since flanking is when you try to get behind or atleast next to enemy support lines to cut them off and stop them from resupplying tanks to the caps
Solid video. Basically everything I know about CQB in 3k hours of suffering in this game. Only bit I'd add is when shooting casemates, tanks without turrets, shooting their engine is a good method of shutting them down. Going for barrels is sometimes all you can do in a situation and in unlucky scenarios where you're surely done for, fight until you can no longer. Sometimes your attempts to extend your life are met with teammates coming to your aid and saving you.
See, if the Panzer IV knew that the T-34 was faster than him, he would've reverse sidescraped using the building when you were chasinf him, catching you off-guard and killing you

13:18 or you can just go to another tech tree, preview the tank you're having a hard time trying to destroy and use the armour penetration system to know certain weak spots or just look at its' stats. Takes less time on going to a browser
This is a pretty good video overall, as a player who has more than 5000 hours in the game i will say that you will get to know all of this tips and tricks automatically, after you die enough times from not using them XD; i want to make a little specification for all the "angling, and shoot the weakpot, and don't shoot at angled armor", this is something that for someone who doesn't know how physics works might be a bit hard to understand and might not be as intuitive; altough i understand that a lot of people who play this game might not care how physics works and just want to play the game, so yeah, don't get discouraged and keep learning ! P.S. As of shooting barrels in this game : there are 2 ways to destroy them reliably, 1) shoot the muzzle brake at the end of the barrel, (this is the biggest surface you'll see when the enemy tank is aiming at you) 2) shoot the barrel side on ( at about 90 degrees angle) these are the only 2 option i saw working, as if you are facing the enemy and the enemy is not aiming straight at you, ( so the barrel is aming to your side) and you try to shoot the barrel, your bullet will simply ricochet/disappear, this can also happen from time to time if you shoot the enemy's barrel head on, but the server de-sync makes the bullet just disappear or not do anything

On the account of rule #10, with tanks with extremely high penetrating APDS or APFSDS rounds, shooting the rear of a tank through the engine will oftentimes one shot the crew, as the round will have enough penetration to go clear through the engine deck (creating a lot of spalling) and straight through the crew compartment. This is oftentimes the better place to shoot a tank in the rear when you have said ammunition loaded.
i just hold W and press ESCAPE, that way the tank keeps going and its better than cruise control because it changes gears as needed when finding hills.
maybe u should try captain view where u press z to zoom when at third person view , its very useful when corner engage, it allow u to aim quicker since third person view will be block by corner building while u actually can fire and ur turret and UFP already exposed, but captain view are more close to ur gun barrel and ur corner view barely being block

To be fair stabilizers in the M4 shermans and m24 are awesome at brawling, its helps you so much not only to take the first shot, but to aim it at a weakspot. It always gives me time to shot the left side of the PZ iv turret front.
@@aenaros6845 yes but in a pz 4 if you feather the throttle to hold a constant 9 mph then you eliminate the main advantage of the sherman because the gun is stable enough
The r3 double cannon is awesome to rush points and defend, 100% of game everybody is flanking and no one is seen on the points, literally everyone flanks and goes everywhere but the point
It’s always weird when that happens, like isn’t the point of the game to capture the point? But yeah I’ve seen games like that, in that case it can actually be good to rush the point.
I love how you made this in one continuous battle and not in seperate clips so we get the full understanding! It seems like im the only one that noticed. Also, i love this part 8:28 😂 Edit: You had a perfect opportunity at 10:40 to make tip 10.5; turn your entire vehicle 180⁰ so the enemys shell gets caught in your engine and doesnt have a chance of even penetrating your front.

Cruise control is very effective at keeping your gun from wobbleing a lot. When expecting to face enemies it is a good strategy to choose a constant speed with it where your gun can still be kept somewhat stable. It is important to switch gears instead of tapping w or s if you want to speed up or slow down. They cause mutch less wobble and can give you the few seconds of advantage you need to shoot before your enemy does.
6:45 SideScraping is bad because they have a higher chance of hitting your tracks or frontal armor at a flat angle, do what I call "FrontScraping" instead, its basically the same as SideScraping except you use your frontal armor instead, its better because its more reliable and makes it easier for you to reverse out of a position or peak out. It even works at top tier with some vehicles that dont have their tracks out as much like the Abrams.
The main issue with front scraping is that it takes longer to get back into cover, whereas with sidescraping you can quickly reverse out, fire, and forward drive back into cover.
@@27jagers That won't work well because a lot of tanks such as the jumbo or panther will get penned in their side even at such an extreme angle, but those two tanks have very good sloped front plates, and that's where FrontScraping comes into play. Really depends on the vehicle your playing.
Hey Sako👋! Love your videos too! They helped me learn the game a lot when I was a beginner, and you’re one of the youtubers that inspired me to start a channel of my own. Nice to know you liked mine too.
I do have some nit-picks, and one of them is that some players will go for your barrel if they are that sweaty (High tier ect) as well some shell will not care about the angle of your armour and still do damage to your crew. but I know this is probably aimed for people who haven't played for very long. I like your video. also, another thing is some players are smart enough to go for your exposed track to keep you locked down while they re-position for a better kill shot while you can't move for a period of time. now I am just adding some extra some extra (BEWARES) they are smart players they're won't always be dumb players or majority. great video for baselines to build off of.
Regarding not rushing capture points as a cqc enthusiast, it's rather more of a high risk high reward method to go for the capture point instead and force your enemies to get as close as possible while on it to demolish them Often if you pull it off correctly you can basically remove about 1/5th to 1/3rd the enemy team right at the start of the match especially at premium vehicle spam brs where many of them are still 1 death leavers which is stupidly helpful for overall winning a match Even without the 1 death leaver blessing that is premium spam tier, it is still a huge dent to the enemy team to completely ruin the opening moments which can make or break a game especially so at top tier, because it can result in completely overrunning them should you have even remotely competent teammates that can take advantage of it
Impressive video! ❤ Too bad I’ve spent way too much time on this game. One tip I’ll add is that weak spots are your best friend. If you spend the time to find out what tanks you’re facing, and learn their weak spots in the menu, you’ll have a huge advantage. One example is when facing american Pershing tanks, as their frontal armor and turret are extremely thick. However, they can be easily killed when shot in their mg port or on their lower front plate near the tracks. Extra tip for my german mains: Use your smokes! They are extremely helpful for getting out of sticky situations, or isolating 1v1s. Especially in the higher BRs!
For tip #10 I wouldn't say you should always do that you should always use it. In the example you showed a shot for the gunner by the pz4 would definitely be the right choice, because u already saw him and ur turret was almost swinged towards him. But in other situations shooting the engine from behind is better. Not only if it's a tank destroyer with no or slow turret, but also if it's a fast tank thag could runaway and cause trouble or if it's a tank with good frontal armor as he could turn around and be hard to pen until he reloades his gunner. Also it depends on the round, with the t34 i would confidently go for the hull shot on the pz4 as the round has som much tnt that id be 100% hed die in one shot.
True, that’s why if you know the tank you’re facing, you can shoot that specific tank’s weak spot. If you don’t know what tank you’re facing, at low and mid tiers it’s usually best to shoot the turret.
not disagreeing but on tanks like a panther D, perhaps going for the engine when attacking from the rear is best as their turret is so slow they can't get around to you fast enough and now they can't run away.
I bet you got this tip alot but one tip is to know your ammo and how it works like he having no pen but tons of overpressure killing open tops easily or solidshot not having lost of area damage on the inside of tanks. And another is bring the right amout of ammo gotten kills and killed by another tank having to much ammo and ammo racking a buddy some tanks also increases survivability a good amount. And another that you kinda started but could clarify is if someone is behind you don't panic butt armor is good or better 90% of the time stay cool and don't show your side. I have gotten countless kills on tanks that I flank that show there side cause they panic to try and get there front around to get me when if they stayed still they probably would have survived. Last is laughed more it sounds silly but this game can be frustrating and when your mad odds are you don't play well and don't have fun and you can make the game a worse place for others. Have other tips but its more of hill combat than cqb but interms of cqb you have done a great job with this video.
If playing britain and you see a tiger coming at you with only a slightly angled or unangled hull - shoot right the upper corner of their hull on the right side (from your perspective). Very high chance of ammo racking, and even if you only turn it red - your spall will rake their driver and gunner and commander in 1 clean hit.
about the point about shooting on the move. It doesn't apply to every tank as some tanks are less stable than others and the cannon will be bobbing more, along with some tanks possibly having a low speed stabilizers (like the Shermans), allowing them to do brake shots.
8:20 i don't even have speakers or headphones lmfao, my speakers broke and I can't hear anything yet I'm still a bit as good as i used to be when it wasn't broken
yeah, got several kills like that they couldnt even fire back because they either didnt see me, or couldnt shoot back but of course this all wont be happening often in lower tiers as in higher ones
My tism demands I point out that Tanks were used fairly often in Urban combat to support infantry. Turns out having big fuck off gun that can react faster than you can call arty or CAS for help is useful, surprisingly. Hell, Most nations had modifications (Germany, The USSR, America, as some examples) that were primarily designed for extending the lift spans of their tanks in an urban setting.
Tip 1: useful Tip 2: works Tip 3: double edged sword Tip 4: hope the enemy’s turret and reload is slow Tip 5: Easily can be penetrated by nice old Tigers but useful at rank 5 or 6 Tip 6: Useful if not glass cannon Tip 7: unless it’s breach and engine especially for tank destroyers Tip 8: Useful Tip 8.5: Useful unless Glass cannon Tip 9: I get bored easily so I just watch a video side by side Tip 10: Risky P.S. please pin.

Another tip is to not hold w when trying to turn to an enemy tank because you turn much slower - unless you are trying to keep momentum
nice video!
Hey Sako👋! Love your videos too! They helped me learn the game a lot when I was a beginner, and you’re one of the youtubers that inspired me to start a channel of my own. Nice to know you liked mine too.
@@27jagers glad you likey vids😄 keep up the good work, some very good tips in the vid. Subbed! 👍
Getting good headphones and using the "stop engine" button helps a ton.

Tip 3 is more applicable in higher tiers when guns are stabilized and move only when gimble limit is reached
Regarding not rushing capture points as a cqc enthusiast, it's rather more of a high risk high reward method to go for the capture point instead and force your enemies to get as close as possible while on it to demolish them
Often if you pull it off correctly you can basically remove about 1/5th to 1/3rd the enemy team right at the start of the match especially at premium vehicle spam brs where many of them are still 1 death leavers which is stupidly helpful for overall winning a match
Even without the 1 death leaver blessing that is premium spam tier, it is still a huge dent to the enemy team to completely ruin the opening moments which can make or break a game especially so at top tier, because it can result in completely overrunning them should you have even remotely competent teammates that can take advantage of it
I already do this stuff but I clicked on the video to make sure.
Great tips! I learned #3 the hard way

Thank you bro,im gonna finish the german tech now
Impressive video!
The second shot on the Pvkv at 9:10 should have been HE. Way too many people underestimate HE of lower calibers
I always bring at least 4 HE shells for exactly this reason. Problem is I keep forgetting to use them 🤦
@@27jagerssame bro, same.😢
Thank you for the tips which will help me.
If you don’t know what tank you’re facing, at low and mid tiers it’s usually best to shoot the turret.
bro im glad that i can even get into battle with my tiger without spending 20 minutes travelling
not disagreeing but on tanks like a panther D, perhaps going for the engine when attacking from the rear is best as their turret is so slow they can't get around to you fast enough and now they can't run away.
True, although it could be a Panther A running jungle camo which I believe is identical to the Panther D’s default camo.
I use the headphones ability, to help me while playing an SPAA. Due to this, I am very good at it.
I bound my free look to the right mouse button because of how often I use it. Highly recommend
Thanks for the advice
about the point about shooting on the move. It doesn't apply to every tank as some tanks are less stable than others and the cannon will be bobbing more, along with some tanks possibly having a low speed stabilizers (like the Shermans), allowing them to do brake shots.
Tip Go for a disable shot :Barrel breach or engine or track and then kill
Can you do a video on open space combat?
Good video man
Nothing exemplifies this game more than fighting in tiny villages in tanks designed to engage targets at over 1km
8:20 i don't even have speakers or headphones lmfao, my speakers broke and I can't hear anything yet I'm still a bit as good as i used to be when it wasn't broken
Good video can you make a similar urban fighting video for 8.0?
on issue with the 'hiding behind corpse', they can be easily penned by kinetic rounds so it is not as amazing of an armor
I actually didn’t know that was possible. I just assumed dead tanks were made of T-34 driver hatches and were impenetrable.
yeah, got several kills like that
they couldnt even fire back because they either didnt see me, or couldnt shoot back
but of course this all wont be happening often in lower tiers as in higher ones
@@27jagers their armor dont change so you could pen through the corpse and kill someone like that
Also, try to hide your gun when peeking at corners it might get shot and taken out.
Appreciate it bro👍
good work bro
Thank you for this video
My tism demands I point out that Tanks were used fairly often in Urban combat to support infantry. Turns out having big fuck off gun that can react faster than you can call arty or CAS for help is useful, surprisingly. Hell, Most nations had modifications (Germany, The USSR, America, as some examples) that were primarily designed for extending the lift spans of their tanks in an urban setting.
True, although most tanks weren’t designed specifically for urban combat, I won’t deny that they aren’t effective.
I learnt a lot.
Tip 1: useful
Tip 2: works
Tip 3: double edged sword
Tip 4: hope the enemy’s turret and reload is slow
Tip 5: Easily can be penetrated by nice old Tigers but useful at rank 5 or 6
Tip 6: Useful if not glass cannon
Tip 7: unless it’s breach and engine especially for tank destroyers
Tip 8: Useful
Tip 8.5: Useful unless Glass cannon
Tip 9: I get bored easily so I just watch a video side by side
Tip 10: Risky
P.S. please pin. Might be helpful for others
