Hey, big fan, I use the software since january :) Are there some guidelines for the slicer except the thicknesses? For example how many walls, what infill pattern is best to use, etc? I mostly use cura in various versions The hardest thing to do is hit the flow right for the first and especially the later layers as I sometimes have holes when the layers overlap in specific regions (the bed isn't perfect and altough I got a BLTouch and Klipper) it's sadly not so consistent. Keep up the good work and have a nice day :)
Generally we do 1 wall, Monotonic top, rectilinear bottom and if you have curling issues, zigzag or hilbert bottom, if you don't monotonic is fine. Flow and pressure advance are pretty important as is print temps, I recommend cooler than you think and less retraction.
Thanks for uploading the additional lessons so quickly. I upgraded my license to access the beta and wasn't sure how to use color match from just the first lesson alone.
This is true with our eyes, but Color Match ALSO has this issue and I'm not 100% sure why, but it is probably related because we often see green when it isn't really green.
These are super basic and it would slow me down quite a bit to wait for the prints. The ideas are the most important part. And getting the info to people. I might do a "how I approach an image" video and show the print.
Thanks for the tutorial. I do not get why do you work on the mesh core first and then you switch to the Color core. In last video you showed what does the mesh core does but I do not understand why in the workflow you start with the mesh + colors in the mesh.. Then transfer it..?!? Idk, may be I am missing something?
The mesh core effectively defines a custom luminance function and sets the mesh up. All the color matching is done on the mesh core color stack. If you try going into Color Match and setting just the red and blue in the color core, it will smear all over and the colors will be mixed based on brightness because of the default grayscale colors in the mesh core. So you have to do the mesh first.
@@hueforging thanks. I do get that, I just don't get the colors in the mesh part. Hmmm or are they just so that humans know what exactly are HF doing? idk
No. The Mesh Core literally sets how the mesh is built. Are you confused why there are two cores instead of one when the color core is mostly the same as the mesh core? That's because in early testing we found at often needed to use filaments we didn't have or image colors to get the color match to work well, and then we had to save the stl and load the STL by itself to adjust the Filaments to colors we actually have. At first I added "pausing" the color match but this made it impossible to incrementally adjust things. So I added a second core with a separate function.
@@hueforging Thanks for that Info, I currently have your personal version (mainly so I can learn this) then I plan on buying the highest paid version to use after I learn it better. Lovewhat you have done with this software
@@hueforging one more thing, if i alreadyh own the personal (lifetime) and I updrage to this, will I loose my life time after the yr If I do not want the pro version anymore?
Is it me or is it literally impossible to colour in a whole car? For example i have a car i want it to be red and no matter what way i slide the sliders or colours i add the headlights will be the same colour as the car. Or when doing human faces i cant colour in the eyes the colour they are ment to be. Or trying to colour a black and white picture of a boxer but want to make gloves red but makes the whole body red
@@danm620 I highly recommend that you watch a few HueForge videos to understand how it works in general. Your Black and White with Red image is exactly what Color Pop was created for and there are multiple example projects using Color Pop in the Projects folder to look at. HueForge by default just views your image as luminance which is why what you are talking about happens. But various modes like Color Pop and Color Aware (and now Color Match in the beta) separate colors out much more powerfully.
You mean to Personal Use owners? The beta is out now for Commerical users. There isn't a fixed end date yet, I would guess it's going to take at least a couple of months to get things stable enough for full release.
This is a huge change to both the function and internal structure of HueForge with a whole lot more potential for bugs and also changes to the interface. So it's going to need some time to shake everything out.

Greens are very difficult to match because our eyes are more sensitive to green color, we can see more grades of greens than any other color.
This is true with our eyes, but Color Match ALSO has this issue and I'm not 100% sure why, but it is probably related because we often see green when it isn't really green.
Good 2nd video ;) I just published my first Color match print on my FB group to show the futur of HF :)
9:00 was a good tid bit. To remind people theyre not limited to the colors in their mesh core

Annual upgrades are for the year. Lifetimes Professional is permanent commercial rights and 2 years of updates including betas
