How does the color move CTRL+left click work on a mac. I just cant seem to grab the color and place it anywhere in the slider.
I don't see "reload shaders", the arrow and "shown colors" like you have to the right of Dark Outer at the start of the video. How do I see those? I also don't see "step height" and I cannot select "Remesh" cannot select "sRGB" or "unbias lighting". Just trying to match up to what you have so I can follow along.
Reload Shaders was removed as it was a debug tool. The arrow is now in a more reasonable place (as I said I would do) between the two Cores at the bottom. Step Height is not needed and was removed. I never touch it in a video. Remesh/sRGB/and unbias Lighting do not work in Color Match. This video was shot under a pre-beta version and things changed.
@@hueforging Ok. To clarify, the only option is to see the image on the left is in grayscale, not in color as the video has (first shows at about 1:18) and the only image that will show in color is the uploaded picture on the right. Is that correct?
holding ctrl and dragging on the slider in the mesh core does not clone the colour as it does in the follow along video on a mac. Nor does ctrl drag from the photo work. Found a work around by dragging from filament library into the slider. Loving the new tech though and having fun in beta, looking forward to the full release
2 months later and still no "color match' option for the personal license. It's probably important to mention this limitation at the beginning of the video.
There are much more basic videos (end to end and sliders demystified for instance), and there is a start at HueForge.wiki in particular explaining how color pop and color aware work.
I haven´t found the question, but when it will be (approximately) released for personal users, and how to update huforge? It´s a great program but struggling with color images.
When you **Control-click** an image to select a color, I’m assuming that on a Mac, it should be **Command-click** instead. However, when I try to add the selected color to the **Mesh Core**, it’s extremely difficult because the **plus button** only appears for a fraction of a second when hovering over individual colors in the Mesh Core. I’m assuming this is a glitch. If I spent **20 minutes** trying, I could probably add it, but it’s far more frustrating than it should be. **To summarize:** The **selection area** in the Mesh Core needs to be fixed in the **Mac version** of the program so adding colors is smoother and more reliable.
This is addressed in later issues as I figured out after this video what the correct operation on MacOS is: Command Click to click and grab But you must RELEASE Command before you enter the Mesh core to turn on the Drop. If you forget, you can move off the Mesh Core again and release then reenter and that works fine.

Third, Beta releases are around new features, with steeper learning curves, and more likely to have bugs etc. This build in particular is a big refactoring of how HueForge works internally and as a result is going to be buggier. It is much better to release this as a more limited release to hit a larger quantity of test systems (there has already been a crash bug found that was missed in testing because of test platform limitations) vs releasing it to the entire user base all at once.
