    I can testify to the value that the Bauer tools offer the average guy. I am an electrician by trade and have used dewalt tools for years. I also remodel homes on the side. I recently moved across country and needed to remodel my new house. My dewalt stuff was 2000 miles away. If didnt want to repurchase everything again so I gave Bauer a shot. I purchased everything with coupons. I picked up the impact driver and drill driver kits first. They each came with a 1.3 ahr battery, charger and pouch. Then I picked up a cordless circular saw, jig saw, angle grinder and two 3.0 ahr batteries. I am now remodeling my second house using these tools and they are still working great. There are some things I don’t like as much as my dewalt but for the 320 bucks I have invested in the entire set I am not going to complain. That’s equivalent to about 1000 bucks for the same tools in yellow. For the guy that uses these tools for weekend projects around the house it’s a no brainer. Definitely need the larger batteries for any tool other than the drill and impact driver. I think the manuals even recommend using the 3.0 batteries for the jaws and grinder.

      same thing with me. I was out of town same issue. I bought them with low expectations and was totally shocked. Now I have almost every tool. They work great and if they get stolen which that happens on job sites unfortunately all can be affordably replaced.

      i use to only use ridgid since thats what my boss used too and seemed like my batteries were burning out once a month so i said the hell with it im going to try the bauer stuff because i liked how big the tool line is and with doing home improvement and restore and build furniture and now with the 5.0 batteries im even more happy and with the chargers i actually bought extras so in my workshop i have 5 chargers and probably close to 10 batteries and love how much i have saved and the dependability

      I am not branded I use everything I have bauer craftsman just bought dewalt cuz it was use sale. The dewalt was 12v 5 tools to 2ah batteries and two 5ah batteries for 350. But I use my cheaper tools all day and I work in tool sales and I start my sales with taking to craftsman cuz its my cheapest tool and talk to them on projects or jobs and see if I have to move them up but I sell to needs not wants I'm a single dad fighting to stay afloat so I know what budget means and rather get my customers best deal for needs. And I tell them brands don't mean anything anymore I have dozens of customers that say I'll never buy black and decker they only make junk acting like they know everything but they buy dewalt that is a black and decker company as well as craftsman and Mac and dozen more. So thank you for making a video that let's people know cheaper tools don't mean junk yea bauer won't do a job as fast as Milwaukee but can keep up and give them run for their money. And can do the jobs

    The batteries will not charge when hot. YOU have to wait for them to cool down before they will take a charge. MOST LITHIUM batteries are like that to help keep them from exploding and starting a fire.

    I love my Bauer tools. I have used them the last two years. Started with impact driver. I now have leaf blower, weed eater and saws all. They all work great. Save me a lot of time and energy. Think I am going to buy the Sanders next.

    • @Mikefngarage
      @Mikefngarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      me too I dont have the leaf blower yet. but I have every other tool I will probably buy that one soon even though I have a Lynxx. the bauer is great for job site clean up. Installing signe we blow off the drilling dust. uses same battery. convenient.

    I've bought a impact driver and a impact gun from Harbor Freight for a contracting company out here on Robins Air Force Base. They did me great for taking taxiway lights off of cans. Now I'm been stuck with buying Bauer ever since. I've kept my batteries inside one of the bags along with all of the power tools. Since I'm working on my truck, I've bought more like the vacuum and the BT radio.

    Thanks for the video. I have a small but very respected motorcycle race shop, and I have been considering these cordless Bauer tools. I love my Ryobi but I'm not buying the batteries or chargers anymore, I'm done with that. In FACT the Ryobi tools have been growing mold on them from lack of use because I haven't replaced the batteries in over 2 years. In all fairness, I do have a Ryobi, corded of course, bench grinder that has a hundred thousand HARD miles, its truly one of the best tools in my shop.

    The 1/4” impact is great. I’ve had one for about two years and I have not been kind to it. All of the rubber over molding has pealed off but the tool works fine. I think the newer versions have better over molding that will prove more durable then the old version you and I have. The drill on the other hand is junk. Mine worked fantastic for six months and then let the smoke out while drilling pocket holes in soft pine. I was on hole 4 or 5 of the day, so it hadn’t been run hard. I later found Ave’s review of the same drill on TH-cam and mine failed similar to the one he tests.

    These are honestly good tools I made a lot of money with Pittsburgh and Bauer tools, only time I make tool truck purchases is if I need a specialize tool. Use the tools properly for what they were intended for and they’ll last . I work on heavy equipment and I purchased the Brushless Impact driver, Brushless 3/8 Impact and Brushless 1/2 Impact with the 3/4 Earthquake Impact. Honestly after 8 months of wear and tear on them, being dropped on accident, drenched in grease and oil and dirt they are still holding up very well from day 1. Hell I even inspired the entire shop to start buying Brushless bauer tools , I see bauer impacts ontop of the other mechanics toolboxes now👍.

  • @rvndmnmt1
    @rvndmnmt1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I'm a mechanic and I use these tools. Have a 3/8th impact, 1/2in impact and the 4.5in grinder. Going to get the drill. Currently have 5ah batteries for all of them with the 3ah "rapid" charger. I'm impressed with the 3/8th impact and the angle grinder with cutting wheels, the 1/2in impact I kind of find lacking on power. I didn't buy it for the power, the control with the variable speed trigger is amazing. Besides, I have air tools that have plenty of power, one of them dubbed Shiva for a reason. I can rip off a bolt with a 1/2in impact that was hammered on with a 3/4in impact. If it can't break it or break it loose you are in for a long day. It usually takes a 36in breaker bar and about six foot of cheater to beat that impact.
    They are alright especially for the price point. For side jobs they are amazing. I went a bit more expensive with the batteries but I haven't had a fully charged one die in the middle of a job either. That 4.5in grinder is a beast with one as long as you don't push things to hard. It's not a plug in tool, gotta know your limitations but all in all. For around $300 or so I have no buyers remorse.

    I love the bauer tool line, my standard drill has lasted me 3 years so far, and I've beat the crap out of it, I mostly use it to wire wheel rust and stuff off my project truck, and bog down the motor constantly, works as good as the day I bought it!

    • @Mikefngarage

      Yea I use them on my other channel every day. Plus for work. Honestly I am just using Bauer now. Have good power and last and are cheap. If you loose it or it gets stolen your not out much money.

      Of all my drills, when I am going to wire wheel something or am going to need to run a drill for a long time, I grab the Bauer drill. I find it to be lighter than my other 18 v and more ⁰⁰⁰ If only it had a locking on trigger, it would be perfect. also 3 years of hard work

    I do fleet van work for Amazon and I use Bauer line of drills and impact and also charge them in my jeep so far works good and defiantly recommend 3.0 battery for almost all applications one thing that has helped me with problems along the way is being able to return after buying the extended warranty on my membership. One other good line of battery operated tools is DieHard from Advance Auto Parts and they don't break the bank . Great video keep it up!!!

    I have the Porter Cable 20 volt lithium’s. Very pleased and I am always interested looking at other brands. I have some older Dewalt 18 volt but the batteries are going out. im an auto tech and use HF and NT stuff every day, why? cause its cheap and works, plus 90% of it has life time warranties. i have the Bauer impact driver and grinder in my tool box at work, only things i have off tool trucks are either things that are special need or stuff i needed that day and just said put it on my account. now some things from HF you might break, its going to happen. if you use it enough you'll learn what you need spares of, or backups. but back to the main point, its cheap, i can get 3-4 HF things for the price of one Snap-on or Mac, or even some of the mid tier things. so for those few items that will break on me, cheap enough to have a couple sets and then just rotate. but 90% of it works all day everyday just like the rest of the other brands

      I own Matco, Milwaukee and had snap-on cordless tools as well, they all have their purpose, and I also own and use every day at the shop my Bauer screw gun it's always my first go to when removing anything, lol yes I even something put the 1/2 adapter in it to drive in our out lose lug nuts ( I always hand torque the wheels down for safety), and the little thing even has an LED light and an additional flashlight. I was about to buy the 3/8 impact from Bauer but... What did discourage me was the fact that they don't sell it as a kit and if I add up the cost with the high-end battery, and the short time warranty, it ended being to much, so i got something else instead

    I have quite a bit of the Bauer line. I haven’t had trouble with any of them besides the half inch drill which was strictly my fault but I did insure it so I got a replacement for free. My rule of thumb is if I pay $50 for a tool or more I insure it for two years, If it’s under 50 then chances are it would have blown up on me in less than 90 days for the original warranty anyway so I don’t bother. Stay tuned because Bauer is coming out with 70 more tools for the 20 V line including a five amp hour and an eight amp hour battery as well. For the price and the durability I’m sticking with this line and have pretty much retired my Dewalt, Milwaukee‘s, Ryobi and Makita‘s… Good stuff cheap and it just works as hard as I need them to as long as I let them do the work. Don’t be that 300 lb gorilla and you’re good😉

Need batteries they are like 40% of the cost. Only issue is I wish things like drills etc were brushless and I wish some things like multi tool was cordless.

    Milwaukee is better and matco and snap on, but there is a huge difference in price and when I say better, it depends on what you're using them for, if you're a hardcore worker that every minute of the 10 hour job your using the living hell out having a Batman belt packed with batteries and have no time to let it cool down, yeah all the other big name brands are for that,, but if your using it for a shop, home, where your using it and letting it cool yeah it's a great kick for the money, I own the small cordless screw driver and use it every day at the shop to drive out valve cover, dash bolts, etc, the only reason I have replaced it twice is because the plastic tab to allow the tool to move from screw driver to screw gun often brakes, so I opened mine up and glued the whole day thing together in the gun position lol, I'll tell you except for that broken tab, every thing else is very well made I was impressed, so I figured they're whole line will have the same quality of that screw driver, I know I wrote a lot, you ain't got sh*t to do these days any how lol, but yeah not comparable to other brands fully, but It Is a great brand.

    On the drill, grinder,large 1/2"impact for breaking lug nuts,AND ESPECIALLY DOING DRILLING WITH THE 1/2" DRILL...
    buck up ,buy the bigger charge pack, you'll be taken care of...
    Quality id say they are equal to rigid maybe a little better in a few respects...
    Here comes the tricky part guys so please pay close attention...
    WARRANTY... most of the major power tools under warranty do a tool turn in to a repair center translating into a 2 week loss of time on our tool PROVIDED it comes back fixed right the first time..
    Harbor Freight ?
    "give us the bad one under warranty , walk over to the shelf and bring a new one up to the counter...even trade WITH NEW BATTERY..."
    I don't know about anyone else, but I can't wait 2 weeks when my tool fails...If you've got 2 weeks ta sit and wait, then the other guys might work better for you ...

    If you like the extra power and capacity of a 3 ah battery you should buy a 5 ah battery or 8 ah battery or even a 12 ah battery that some stores already have in stock but others will have soon because the bigger batteries don't just have more capacity but a lot more power also for sure!

    If your Inverter isn't Pure or True Sine Wave, you'll fry your charger. Also inverters are rated in Watts not Amps. 120 volts at one Amp is 120 Watts in other words, Volts times Amps equal Watts. A Modified Sine Wave has power spikes that cook or fry electronics.

  • @765outdoors
    @765outdoors 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    bigger battery of same voltage is more batteries in parallel. if its a 10 amp draw on 4 batteries(usually 1.5-2.5 amph) if you double the amp hour(about 5 amp/h) then its double the batteries and half the amp draw across the batteries which is less heat and alot less stress on the cells.

    I love harbor freight, just I will never buy the cordless line of tools, they are way too expensive for my blood. this guy is talking how you need to look for coupons. I always buy brands like Milwaukee, DeWalt on promos every quarter. I always find BOGOs where you say buy a kit for $200 and you get a bare tool free, or the buy more save more. The only way I would ever consider HF cordless is if they had a promo where you would get 2 batteries a charger and a bag for $100 and you would get a free tool with warranty included. Thats what Home Depot does during Ryobi days every year with 4 AH batteries last year. I might consider Bauer, Hercules cordless tools if they came out with a battery conversion where you could use a DeWalt, or Milwaukee battery. if they can't stand buy their product I just cant pay the really high prices when compared to the promo prices. I have bought many items from HF , Like the US general tool box(great box) corded tools like a sander and car jacks. just remember the number one rule when buying tools, that is never pay MSRP, unless it is a emergency.
