EXACTLY!!! That’s what the Bauer system was designed for, the average DIY homeowner. These are NOT professional tools, and weren’t meant to be. That being said, I use my Bauer stuff pretty hard and all the different ones I have are working quite well. The plastic is a little alarming initially as you’re inclined to think it will break right away, but from my experience so far they are designed pretty good and tend to beef up the plastic areas accordingly. Anyway, I’m really happy with the Bauer lineup.
To me, it’s like right on the line between homeowner and prosumer. It works for both, I think. More tool than most home owners need, maybe a little less tool than most pros need. Just my opinion. It’s a serious DIYers tool line.
I had the same problem when I bought my 1/2 impact, I watched a video here about one being repaired, it had almost no lube in the front gears and hammer, when lubed the one being repaired was much better, I lubed mine, went from 100ft pounds of force to 275ft pounds of torque and it seems to be getting stronger, you might try properly lubing the gears and hammer in yours
I like the price, I like the color, and I've been happy with the functionality of my purchases. Lesser used tools I've purchased corded though, however I wish I would have purchased the cordless recip saw. I had no idea how much I'd use it on branches and roots and I have a few I can't reach and need another extension cord for. It just works too well on the ones too big for the loppers but too small for the chainsaw. I wish they'd come out with a corded 7¼ circular saw. I have the 6½ cordless but it won't do a full 45 on 2 x 4's.
God I love my Bauer circular saw, had it 2 years now and it just works great! Just got the recip saw and I've been cutting down rhododendrons next to my house and cutting out roots, it's definitely been standing up to some serious use, very pleased with it. Got the string trimmer too, seems like a good unit. I noticed they are discontinuing the corded trim router though, it's a good router, but I wonder if they are going to come out with a cordless trim router.
Everything Bauer has is acceptable, some of its really good, and most of it performs surprisingly well for the price. I think I could have made this list longer for the good tools lol. Huh... didn't know they had canceled any Bauer tools. Probably just making some improvements and will bring it right back I imagine?
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects I really wanna try the new cordless compressor, but have a perfectly good corded one, so I have no good reason to justify the purchase.
I worked at a shop were a couple of the techs used to Harbor Freight earthquake 3/4 impact with a 1/2 adapter for lug nuts. They held up with my Milwaukee 1/2 high torque impact.
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects they actually still carry it at stores in MD n pa. The air versions even just got additional colors. I keep waiting for the batteries to go on clearance BC I missed it when the lynx ones did lol
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects They got rid of the 12v stuff but they still have the 20v cordless ones. If they do end up getting rid of the Earthquake ones completely, it's most likely because they're currently R&Ding a brushless bauer one that is just as powerful as the Earthquake ones so it wouldn't make sense to have both. I believe that's also why they're not coming out with as many hercules tools because they're making the bauer ones just as good.
@@torq21I do construction work, and do my own mechanic work, and I bought the 1/4in impact, and I’ve used and abused that thing for atleast 2 years going on now. For EVERYTHING. Dropping it from 10 foot ladders, and it even breaks some lug nuts that aren’t highly torqued. Only thing it doesn’t do. For any real work, I don’t recommend the circular saw that’s battery powered. Out the box with a new Diablo blade it couldn’t make it all the way through a 2x6. There corded tools like the Sawzall has no difference to any other brand you might buy.
Enjoy your vids... Not sure if you have the hedge trimmers or blower but those are great outdoor tools as well. I have most of the items you listed sans the grinder and 1/2" impact. So I guess I have stayed away from the "bad" so far. I think I will end up with the grinder even with the issues it seems like a good value at $40 or less (with a sale) since I am already in the line and have the batteries. Keep the vids coming!
I don't have the hedge trimmer or blower. I don't have any hedges around me haha but the blower may be on the list to buy in the near future. The 1/2 impact and the grinder are not bad tools. The Impact doesn't live up to its 450ft lb rating. Not even close from what I can tell. But it still definitely can get most of the jobs one especially for a DIY guy. The grinders are a bargain at $40, they just need to pump out a better grinder in the battery platform because these do leave some to be desired.
Thank you for sharing. I am just starting to do little home projects. I really love Harbor freight. I feel like a kid in the candy shop when there. Lol. I'm looking for best bang for my buck. This video was very honest and informative. What do u think of the Hercules lineup? I love their "color scheme,"....yet they can be alittle more expensive.....any suggestions for me? Thank you 😊
I can relate, I stopped there last Friday and bought the radio, both saws, a 5 amp battery, a USB charging adapter, vacuum cleaner and other little accessories...
I like Hercules and if you want a better tool line than Bauer at just a little better price than the big brands its a good option. If you do any work on your own vehicles the electric ratchets from Hercules look really interesting!
Thanks for the video I do home remodeling and maintenance for 3 hotels I been using makita and Ryobi for lot of years but batteries are getting way to expensive especially for makita I got two for 180 at home depot so few days ago I decided to get rid of my makita and Ryobi and got me some rigid power tools and Bauer and let me tell I’m impressed with Bauer I just got it as a secondary tool set but I’m loving it so far.
I have the Bauer 1/4" impact drill. Surprisingly powerful. It can loosen the lug nuts on my vehicles most of the time which my corded HF 1/2 drive impact wrench is incapable of doing.
I’m in a shop everyday working on cars with the 1/2 and 3/8 and hex 1/4 I use all and love all and my 1/2 will take 120-150 all day with the bigger battery and all still work great and love them
I have had an impact wrench and hammer drill break on me. I rarely have tools break on me so I've been completely turned off from them. I'll be sticking with Ryobi for home use with it's 3 year warranty.
Considering getting a friend the Bauer string trimmer cause they do yards part time, and getting a couple 5 Ah batteries on special, since I already have a couple of the tools in the line. So we can share 😁
Thanks for the great info. By the way, your voice sounds strikingly similar to the actor who voices Ralph in “Wreck it Ralph” I own the Bauer inflator so far and I’ve been really impressed by it. Bought it on a whim one day after my brother suggested it. I’ve normally been a Milwaukee guy and I agree with what you’re saying about pricing tier. Im just a DIYer as well. Im actually looking at getting more of the Bauer stuff in the future-for sure the brad nailer and maybe the backpack sprayer (I have 5 acres of property that I think would make use of the sprayer)
Love the Bauer line I own about half of it myself. It's designed for the diy weekend warriors not contractors. I put it on par with Ryobi, newer Craftsman, Kobalt, and Heart. I don't have the impact but I do agree with your assessment of it. Quite frankly I get better preformance out of their $10 drillmaster grinder. I'm not impressed with the preformance of the dust buster style vacuum either. After a few uses, it doesn't have the power it did originally. Every other tool I have works as or better than expected and I'm very happy with the line overall. I actually love the the air pump. I was going to buy one of the similar as seen on TV ones, then I saw the Bauer one was coming out. The fact that it has a removable battery was a big plus in my book. Better still I was already invested in the platform. I don't regret it at all. Other top tools I use regularly are the string trimmer, leaf blower, and hammer drill. None of them have let me down. The ripsaw, jigsaw, and circ saw are all really good too. I'm really interested in the Brad nailer, and dust separator too. They are on my to purchase soon. Also the newly released storage system. All are on my list to buy soon.
The vacuum has been my least favorite Bauer tool too. However, I realized I'm kind of being too tough on it. I use it in the shop and it has to do a lot more. When I brought it home and compared it to my Black & Decker dustbuster side by side performing the same tasks, it performs about the same. In the shop when you're cleaning up sawdust and concrete dust and similar things, the air filter gets clogged pretty quickly. You have to take the filter apart and clean it regularly to keep it working in those conditions. The Bauer shop blower is one of my favorite tools, and is practically a requirement to keep that vacuum working. I use it to clean the filter whenever I start losing suction.
Another argument against ryobi tools is still the battery price unless you get them on sale. The bauer batteries can't be beat for the price. I also have bauer as my main tool line and I'm pretty happy with all the tools I have used so far.
I have only had a couple situations where mine wouldnt break a bolt loose. It involved me using a beeaker bar and a cheater pipe and got a good crqck from it so I didnt expect the impact to get it loose. I did have a situation where I couldnt get lugnuts off a big SUV once. I figured my battery was going weak on me. Other than that I have used mine for years without any other complaints
The only Bauer tool I bought so far is the brushless angle grinder and I gotta say, I don't like it. It drains batteries fast and doesn't continue spinning long enough to dissipate the revs, so when I hand tighten grinding wheels, the lockup causes the disc and retainer nut to spin themselves off and go for a quick run. I do love the handle though, it has the spanner wrench inside which is super convenient, I just hate having to use it to put wheels on.
I can't answer that but I honestly doubt it. I think it'll be more of deal where they just give you two offerings. You can either go cheap and get brushed or you can go more expensive and get brushless. I will probably get the brushless for cutting, and keep my brushed for grinding.
I have been ping-ponging between the Bauer and Craftsmen 3/8”, battery impact, I don’t know yet. I’m more a DIYer and automotive repair on the side when I can get the work. I have the Bauer trimmer/edger and blower and the 3 ah battery. The edger part of the trimmer ain’t all that, but it’s okay. I was informed by HF of the plans for a cordless ratchet from Bauer about April next year.
Interesting. Hard to suggest one as I don't have any experience with the impact from Craftsman but I think you'd be happy with the Bauer based on my experience. I've never used the edger part of the trimmer but I am happy with the trimmer.
Both with, and without the extension, the impact struggles to remove the lug nuts. I believe the video you are probably referring to is the swivel sockets, but I’d have to go back an watch for sure.
String trimmer was decent but I only have the bauer drill with a 1.5 battery do the trimmer doesnt last long which is expected. I wish Ridgid made a trimmer since i am mainly on that platform.
Ya the Rigid line is fairly limited compared to some of what is out there from what I have seen, which isn't a ton, but seems like they could do better.
I am a big fan of Ryobi tools. I like the battery system the most. I have a Bauer 5 inch orbital sander and their planer. The dust collector on the sander sucks and broke off. Still a good sander.
Sure, a little bit, but that is not what I basing all of it on. Also, it wasn’t an adapter. They just were swivel sockets. Even with a standard impact socket this thing doesn’t just zip off lug nuts.
I agree I didn’t like mine have a Milwaukee m18 vacuum now it’s worth the extra money. Also I bought that Bauer 20v air pump in this video and mine was junk it took forever to build pressure in a tire
I need to probably get a little more familiar with it's actual limits than I have, but I have seen it struggle just a tiny bit with lug nuts before. At least mine. And its was the "1st gen".
I’ll put it this way. I got into this tool line 4 years ago and still have the first batteries I bought. The trick is to not leave them out in the cold. That ruins them.
And for anyone out there that needs a grease gun. The grease gun is an absolute steel right now I was able to get the $140 grease gun and $100 5ah, battery, and charger kit and the $20 2 year store warranty for $100 out the door
Thanks for the vid. I'm sure you aren't reading comments anymore but, I've heard the Bauer Sander (CORDED) is on par with anything in its class. It is on sale now for $19.99 so I'd love some feedback from you or anyone else.
I have the corded one, my first Bauer tool. I paid regular price for it and felt it was well worth 40 bucks, on sale at 20 its a no brainer. Just get good discs.
My only problem with Ryobi is I hate that the battery has that post sticking up. Still, I have some Ryobi items (brad nailer and pin nailer). I will get some Bauer items that are brushless.
My circular saw bogs down cutting a pressure treated 2x4. Do you have any of those issues? I am thinking of exchanging it under the extended warranty. What do you think?
I'm switching from Makita to Bauer because if I go to add a new Makita tool I could have bought 3-4 Bauer tools I'm not working commercial anymore for what I do Bauer is totally fine, + they have a special on🔋🔋2 of the 5Ah for $80
The cordless air pump is good except you have to hold the trigger on, in the case of a complete flat tire that gets tiring, Sun Joe has an on-off switch, turn it on, let it work, kick back sip on a beer.
I concur on the 1/2" impact. Tried taking the wheels off my car and it wouldn't bust them loose, got them off with a 2 foot breaker bar and barely had to lean into it. Total turd.
I have a few Bauer tools. They're not bad. But I believe Kobalt has a far, far better line, all brushless, better batteries (name brand cells x6), better warranty and is right around the same price usually.
For someone who doesn't need work tools, just once a week to once a month use tools. Bauer are perfect. And will last a long time I'm sure. But if I needed these tools for work, and I was using them everyday, I would probably get Makita, personally. I feel like everyone gets Ryobi for cheap and Milwaukee or DeWalt for expensive. I like the Makita colors and hate the Ryobi green. Looks like a child's toy.
same. Tools just have to be red, orange, or bright yellow to me, possibly blue but blue is meh and green is bad for me. the other colors just seem more professional, hi-viz
Should of kept the milwaukee tools and there are aftermarket batteries for milwaukee like on ebay and amazon that are way cheaper and harbor freight might ditch or change their bauer tools with the batteries and with harbor freight tools you cant get replacement parts but with name brands like milwaukee and craftsman you can
First off you’re using the wrong socket to remove the Lugnuts you’re using a impact wobble socket as well as a wheel lock tool which will reduce the amount of torque that has applied to remove the wheel lug nuts.you should be using a shallow 1/2 drive 6 point shallow 22 mm impact socket
That is a completely fair criticism. The footage you watched was literally the only footage I had at the time though I had used it other times. The swivel sockets were on there simply for a video I was paid to make by the swivel socket manufacture. That being said, it has struggled even with just a 6 point deep socket. Still deep, yes. ALL that being said and I have used a 5ah battery on the 2nd generation that I have now and the thing breaks 165ft lbs almost effortlessly. Still going to maintain that this thing will never get 450ft it claims. I don't think so.
Great value, I have always been leary of horrible freight until recently, I have given them a try am I must admit that I'm kinda impressed...especially with the Bower tool line, one thing I recently purchased was the Bower 3 gallon 20 volt air compressor which uses (and the recommend 2of the latest 20 volt rechargeable batteries) but it's totally portable holds 150psi with a operating max pressure of 130psi ! Dude this thing blows my mind... $150 is a hell of a investment...
I have the brushless grinders and work flawless, as for the weed trimmer, it’s not good at all unless you have all day, I returned it and bought the ego brand it’s it’s the Tesla of cordless trimmers, my gas stihl never gets used
That's because the battery you're using is 1 and 1/2 amp. It needs at least a 5 amp battery in order to give its full power. You ninny you didn't read the manual
I ran it plenty with a 3 and 5 amp hour. I didn’t not use it the one time with a 1.5 and then make this video. It’s still weak considering use with a 5 amp hour battery and doesn’t reach near the claimed breaking torque.
I didn’t get into Ryobi because it sounds like a brand of toy and the color makes me puke. Call me superficial but I’m replacing my old orange plastic Chicago electric corded HF tools with Bauer and can’t wait to not have to look at them anymore. Lol
I didn't care for the trimmer. It's nice and all but not being able to hit the ground to feed the line is nerve wrecking lol. Great channel legit reviews. Appreciate it
All impact wrenches have bullshit specs. Go check out the torque test channel. Nothing gets close to their rating. The Bauer is particularly bad though.
I’ve been watching them recently actually. Never seen one of their videos until a couple weeks ago. I think most of those are not too bad but ya, the Bauer is like 100ft over, if not more, I don’t remember off the top of my head.
I bought into Bauer for price, diy home use, and color scheme.
I took a job with a contractor. Now i use them daily on the job, either carpentry or masonry. I'm glad I didn't spent 4x the money on the big brands, bc Bauer does the job just fine

It's nice to see what feels like an honest review from an actual owner and user of the tools vs just some guy "testing" them for a day or 2. Thanks
I totally get not going to Ryobi because of the Green. I’ve struggled with the same issue and my ultimate deciding factor of going with Bauer.
Definitely a better looking tool (better performing in some of the comparisons I have seen as well).
I'm glad I'm not the only one, lol.
Agreed. But I'm hopping on board the Hercules line. I do like that color scheme. Hope they expand the line up like Bauer
Ryobi looks like Oscar the Grouch 😂
Just picked up the Bauer 18ga brad nailer. Great tool and makes trim work easy with no air hoses to drag around.
I been thinking about it
I dont have the 1/2 inch drive impact but worth noting is anytime you add a swivel or extension it reduces the tools torque
Definitely took that into consideration, but it still doesn't do 450ft lbs like it advertises.
I've been using mine for 2 years, no complaints yet
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects try the corded bauer torque wrench trust me that thing is pretty powerful🤣

I just recently bought the pole saw and was extremely extremely happy with it.
I finally got around to using the chainsaw. Definitely worth it. Pole saw is on the list somewhere.
Love the 1/4 inch impact.
The Sds Plus hammer I didn't like so much but I was using it in an extreme application
I worked at a shop were a couple of the techs used to Harbor Freight earthquake 3/4 impact with a 1/2 adapter for lug nuts. They held up with my Milwaukee 1/2 high torque impact.
I have the earthquake 1/2 for a few years now and regularly go up against my buddy who's a tech that has a snap on
That Earthquake stuff was supposedly pretty good. Too bad they got rid of it.
I have the trimmer and looking to expand so I get my monies worth on the charging system. Thanks for the insights.
I have the 3/8 drill and it does well for lug nuts i never had an issue great video
3/8" drill for lug nuts? Interesting... never heard of that but I am sure thats a good indicator of the quality haha!
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects same here 3/8 goes to work
Just bought the 1/2 and with this review I'm a bit nervous to keep it. Going to have to look into the comparison with the 3/8
@@torq21I do construction work, and do my own mechanic work, and I bought the 1/4in impact, and I’ve used and abused that thing for atleast 2 years going on now.
I just picked up their 20 volt sawz-all and it is really heavy duty and performs extremely well. On sale for $59 awesome deal!
Is is the Bauer corded 1/2 in drive impact?
Not sure about any of the other tools but after seeing you use the weed trimmer. My kobalt would have cut all of that in a couple quick swipes.
I’m in a shop everyday working on cars with the 1/2 and 3/8 and hex 1/4 I use all and love all and my 1/2 will take 120-150 all day with the bigger battery and all still work great and love them
The 1/2 definitely works better with the 5 ah battery.
Love my Bauer 12ah battery, leaf blower, and cordless vac (for cars ideally) - can’t wait for my mini blower (maybe tomorrow 🤫😁)
The Bauer pump sprayer , and the pole saw are the also a great value!
The chainsaw is great too!
I haven't used either of those yet but probably will in the near future, and Jeremy is right, the chainsaw is definitely decent!
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects I just tried out the polesaw yesterday, works good.
Nice, I am not sure how well it would do in commercial work, but I bet it would hold up if it was just a few yards a week. I still love mine.
Thanks for the great info. By the way, your voice sounds strikingly similar to the actor who voices Ralph in “Wreck it Ralph”
I own the Bauer inflator so far and I’ve been really impressed by it.
Lots of good tools since I have made this video have come out!
Just want to say great video. Enjoyed watching and walked away with some great info.
Thanks a bunch for watching.
Another argument against ryobi tools is still the battery price unless you get them on sale. The bauer batteries can't be beat for the price. I also have bauer as my main tool line and I'm pretty happy with all the tools I have used so far.
The amount of tools the line has and the price for the batteries is hard to beat.
I've had the same problem with the1/2 impact
The 5AH battery is the smallest I use and have had good results. I use the 8AH on blowers, chainsaws, etc.
You had the small battery on the 1/2 impact
The only Bauer tool I bought so far is the brushless angle grinder and I gotta say, I don't like it. It drains batteries fast and doesn't continue spinning long enough to dissipate the revs, so when I hand tighten grinding wheels, the lockup causes the disc and retainer nut to spin themselves off and go for a quick run. I do love the handle though, it has the spanner wrench inside which is super convenient, I just hate having to use it to put wheels on.
If and when harbor freight upgraded to brushless will do allow us to exchange our old tool with a small price increase?
It looked like you had a swivel in your impact,if so it will significantly reduce your torque, try it with no or short extension.
How much life did the battery give you
I am a big fan of Ryobi tools. I like the battery system the most. I have a Bauer 5 inch orbital sander and their planer. The dust collector on the sander sucks and broke off. Still a good sander.
Helpful information
I just charged the battery on my 20v drill and it’s parked and smoked the 2nd I put the battery back on the drill…. What could have caused this??
Wouldn’t the 1/2 impact perform better if it wasn’t using a swivel adapter?
Sure, a little bit, but that is not what I basing all of it on. Also, it wasn’t an adapter. They just were swivel sockets. Even with a standard impact socket this thing doesn’t just zip off lug nuts.
Stay away from the Bauer vacuum it sucks!
I agree I didn’t like mine have a Milwaukee m18 vacuum now it’s worth the extra money. Also I bought that Bauer 20v air pump in this video and mine was junk it took forever to build pressure in a tire
torque spec on my trucks wheels is 175 ft pounds,, my Bauer 1/2 drive , pops them right off,
I need to probably get a little more familiar with it's actual limits than I have, but I have seen it struggle just a tiny bit with lug nuts before. At least mine. And its was the "1st gen".
Had I not gone full in with Bauer I would have gone with Ryobi just for the simple fact they have a larger line. I’d like a 20V snow blower
How are the battery packs long lasting or short lived?
I’ll put it this way. I got into this tool line 4 years ago and still have the first batteries I bought. The trick is to not leave them out in the cold. That ruins them.
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects ok
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects thank you much I will give a try then!
Baur needs an outdoor line that can compete with ego. I would have kept the batteries different from your regular power tools and outdoor tools
I hear they are coming out with a mower at some point, but it probably isn't going to be on par with Ego.
Why would hf do that when they have atlas?
And for anyone out there that needs a grease gun. The grease gun is an absolute steel right now I was able to get the $140 grease gun and $100 5ah, battery, and charger kit and the $20 2 year store warranty for $100 out the door
Ever bauer tool at takes a battery I got and some are over 8 years old and still working. 1 battery fits all.
Thanks for the vid. I'm sure you aren't reading comments anymore but, I've heard the Bauer Sander (CORDED) is on par with anything in its class. It is on sale now for $19.99 so I'd love some feedback from you or anyone else.
I have one of the corded sanders, I think it’s the random orbital sander, it’s pretty dang good.
Ya, the batteries are kind of goofy but they are sticking with that battery shape long term, which is good in most senses.
My circular saw bogs down cutting a pressure treated 2x4. Do you have any of those issues? I am thinking of exchanging it under the extended warranty. What do you think?
What battery do you use on it? I cut a pressure treated 2x8 yesterday with mine with an almost dead 1.5 ah battery and it did ok.
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects I am using the 5.0ah. I did have a 24 tooth framing blade on it. I just bought a 40t blade and it cuts a lot better
I see. Ya I thought that was weird, I’ve never had that saw have trouble with a 2x4.
All I buy is Bauer. Love em. Mostly...
I like the pole saw
Haven’t had a chance to try it yet.
Upgrade the battery to a much higher Ah battery such as a 5Ah. Then the tools will come to life.
That is what everyone keeps saying.
I'm switching from Makita to Bauer because if I go to add a new Makita tool I could have bought 3-4 Bauer tools I'm not working commercial anymore for what I do Bauer is totally fine, + they have a special on🔋🔋2 of the 5Ah for $80
Good job👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
If you had a Ego 56 volt weedwacker you would give that away. But I love all my Bauer tools! And I have a lot of them.
My saw did pretty good.
The cordless air pump is good except you have to hold the trigger on, in the case of a complete flat tire that gets tiring, Sun Joe has an on-off switch, turn it on, let it work, kick back sip on a beer.
I said exactly that in my review of that thing. Great minds think alike.
The grinder quits if u put alil pressure on it
I concur on the 1/2" impact.
I’ve felt the same way about Ryobi colors.
same. Tools just have to be red, orange, or bright yellow to me, possibly blue but blue is meh and green is bad for me.
the other colors just seem more professional, hi-viz
Should of kept the milwaukee tools and there are aftermarket batteries for milwaukee like on ebay and amazon that are way cheaper and harbor freight might ditch or change their bauer tools with the batteries and with harbor freight tools you cant get replacement parts but with name brands like milwaukee and craftsman you can
Meh. I'm pretty happy with Bauer. I understand your point though.
I don't think so.
that sawzall is the same design as the dewalt 14.4 years ago
Hmm. Well, maybe an old design but still works.
I got a brushless Bauer grinder for 35 dollars the other day.
I wish ryobi was red too.
Lol, I might have considered it otherwise. Thanks for watching.
I use Bauer in a professional automotive environment. My daily drivers and never let me down.
Awesome to hear man!
Looks like they quit giving 20 percent discount 😥
They come out with 10% off Bauer still and these show up on the "instant savings" or "ITC deals" as well. Thanks for watching!
They still have the 20 percent discount ,as of mid March of 2022 , just depends on what you're buying
I would like to see Bauer produce a 3/8 extended ratchet with a battery like milwaukee
They are supposed to be coming out with it any day now.
I work union in the USA and use Bauer daily the only tool I’m not satisfied with is the grinder
Even the brushless grinder? What kind of work do you do?
@ yes my set is brushless plumbing
Thank you for the video but ill take it lightly since you like Chevy 😂
I have a Ford too 😉
why would anyone go from Milwaukee to Bauer? thats like going from a Mercedes to a Kia
Because a Mercedes costs $1000 a month and a Kia costs $200 a month (id compare it more to a Honda Civic).
I have the brushless grinders and work flawless, as for the weed trimmer, it’s not good at all unless you have all day, I returned it and bought the ego brand it’s it’s the Tesla of cordless trimmers, my gas stihl never gets used
I took the lugs off my semi with that 1/2 inch of impact.
The high torque brushless or the plain Jane brushed 1/2? It won’t take properly torqued lug nuts off my 3/4 Ford truck.
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects the high torque I imagine. I bought it specifically for lug nuts. Had to do a. Brake job on my old kw
@scratch5120 the high torque is a dang good tool. The basic one is not very good.
use a bigger battery????
I have the 5.0 ah. Those tools are still not great on that battery.
I don’t know any impact that would work good on a 1.5 amp hr battery. Try the 5 amp hr battery.
I have used it on my 3 and 5 amp hour batteries. The 1.5 was only on it for it to stand up in the video.
That's because the battery you're using is 1 and 1/2 amp. It needs at least a 5 amp battery in order to give its full power. You ninny you didn't read the manual
That 1/2 inch your running a 1.5 that couldn’t knock a flea off a dog. You need atleast a 3amp preferably a 5
I ran it plenty with a 3 and 5 amp hour. I didn’t not use it the one time with a 1.5 and then make this video. It’s still weak considering use with a 5 amp hour battery and doesn’t reach near the claimed breaking torque.
Can't complain for a tool that costs a 3rd the price of any other tool and the batteries are cheap
I didn’t get into Ryobi because it sounds like a brand of toy and the color makes me puke. Call me superficial but I’m replacing my old orange plastic Chicago electric corded HF tools with Bauer and can’t wait to not have to look at them anymore. Lol
You are comparing a 2 tools for $100 too 2 tools for $200-300…or $100+ tool to $279+ tool tho.gotta do equal value to see bang for your buck ratio
I didn't care for the trimmer. It's nice and all but not being able to hit the ground to feed the line is nerve wrecking lol. Great channel legit reviews. Appreciate it
They are the very worst grinder I've ever used
Hyper Tough all day everyday hooaahh
All impact wrenches have bullshit specs. Go check out the torque test channel. Nothing gets close to their rating.
The Bauer is particularly bad though.
I’ve been watching them recently actually. Never seen one of their videos until a couple weeks ago. I think most of those are not too bad but ya, the Bauer is like 100ft over, if not more, I don’t remember off the top of my head.
