Would you buy a cordless tool from Harbor Freight?

It all comes down to the system. I have Dewalt. I can't see myself buying this drill then the batteries and charger just to run this drill. I'd be more inclined to buy it if i had a use for another Bauer 20V product. And NOT their drill/driver because, like a lot of guys, i already have a good 20v system and don't need to repurchase the basics.

I've gotten several Bauer tools, but mostly at parking lot sales, etc. so at half price. I did buy this right angle drill at full price (not open box, with a coupon though) because I had an old 18v Porter Cable years ago, and for those occasional tight spots wanted this again. I honestly think it's better than the Porter Cable one I had, but I'd probably only be drilling a few holes here and there, so if you put it through its paces here, I'm confident the Bauer will meet my needs.
Honestly, I've liked all the Bauer stuff I have, except the grinder is only OK, not horrible, but not as good compared as this.

Must have missed this video. Not gonna lie; it's an interesting tool that can come in really handy. I have a 10yo Craftsman right angle impact. Not terribly powerful, but when nothing else will fit into a given space, this thing often does the job. With that in mind, I can see a use for the Bauer tool. Curious whether its chuck is branded.
BTW, bought my very first HFT warranty the other day. Picked up their 6" bench polisher. I have two others; they're used every day. Figured, the bearings on the HFT buffer aren't that big and they'll see a lot of abuse. 27 months for $10 isn't a bad deal. Plus, these machines get upgraded every few years. In 27 months I plan on walking in my local HFT and trading the buffer for another.

Great review! I appreciate that you always take the stand that you are just there to review the tool, not getting paid, and will be honest. Also, you aren't a brand loyalist. I love your take about the reviews, and even though the reviews on a product may be good, it's all opinion. Your review was great. What I take away from your review is that the drill works relatively well. I don't see myself doing multiple spade-bit holes one after the other, and the cool down between some holes is realistic. Keep up the great work!

Milwaukee and Dewalt already factor the cost of the warranty into the purchase price of the tool. If they only had a 90 day warranty they would sell them cheaper. I agree with you that factoring the price of the 2 year warranty makes the comparison more accurate. I can not justify HF power tools considering the name brand tools with great warranties are sometimes less $. Great video again brother. 👍🏻

Exactly lol so it is included in the price which is why I include the warranty in the price. Thanks again brother i appreciate you

Nice Video. Appreciate the Time, Money and Work that you invest your videos.
I would like to see another update on your garage, shop, tool box, tool cart and that Pontiac.
You really come across as a caring, sharing person that just loves to wrench and work on things; which I do as well.

I also have reviewed the Harbor Freight Baur line of products and they are OK, just OK. Nothing special. A cheap tool at a cheap price. Adequate for home gamer but not the pros. Some other channels really LOVE the Hercules line and I always say the same thing as you did. There is NO reason to pay more for the Hercules line as it is most likely the same as the Bauer with a different color. The internals are mostly the same. Harbor Freight was better when they sold cheap tools at a cheap price. Now that they are trying to up their game, they are falling flat on their face in my opinion. To pay more for tools, I'd buy an established brand name!

I'd be more impressed with the tool, and Redemption Garage, if the drill sequences weren't silenced, which sound would give away that the video is speeded up to make the tool look more capable. At least you used real wood, not the SOFT balsa of the other Bauer right angle drill video.

Seriously? when you measured the battery as a fabricator you measured the full battery and not the matintg surfaces. If I did that it would cost my company a lot of money.

How can you say with a straight face that you give that drill 4 stars.....for Christ sake it would have no doubt given up the ghost had had kept on drilling.
