Is the Hart Impact Driver Better than Harbor Freight Bauer or Hercules Impact Driver? You need to try the brushless one with the big batteries with the battery indicatory

  • @TIYX

    The 4 amp hour Hart batteries have the charge indicator on them. TTI is building the Hart line of power tools. TTI also makes Milwaukee. I would like to see the similarities between the Hart battery and the Hyper tough batteries. The chargers look the same.

      At least hyper tough has a really quick charger option and they have double chargers and there tools come with batteries for the most part

      I thought Milwaukee was made by the same company as Rigid tools as well?

      I have that same impact driver. Very impressive. No problems or issues. Would recommend to anyone.

    I have some Porter Cable 20 volt lithium tools. I love the driver, as it is my work horse. The drill is also very good. The only tool I don’t really like is the Circular saw, not very powerful and heavy battery drain. I did use it in a leaky pipe in ceiling emergency to cut through soaked cedar tongue and grove planks. Worked great. But I have a lot of PC batteries, but PC no longer being carried at Lowe’s. Reviews of Hart are favorable and the tools are affordable. The battery life lights are a great feature. If Hart comes out with a 18 gauge nail gun, I will probably consider going with Hart. Hercules is also on my radar, but Hart is producing quality hand tools at a very affordable costs. Internals on many drill guns and drivers are identical as they produced in the same Chinese factories. Great review!

    Did you know TTI makes Hart? Same company as Ryobi, Milwaukee, Rigid etc. That's why it looks so similar. Harbor Freight gets their stuff built from the lowest bidder. TTI makes none of HF tools. Sorry. Secondly their 2.0 and 4.0 AH batteries have fuel gages. Same case top and bottom. Cells are cheap Samsung Cells.

      Exactly what I was about to type, then I seen this comment. Also not putting the voltage indicator probably saved 10-15 cents in production, on large production numbers.

    Made by TTI (It may be TII?)... The same company that makes Ryobi and another major branded cordless power tool, can't quite remember.

    Geez I wonder if Hart's impact wrench would be able to push in the big bad behemoth at the end of your test...

    How do you get the charger out of testing mode

    • @ModernDIYProjects
      @ModernDIYProjects  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't. That means there is something wrong with the charger or batteries.

    Walmart doesn’t design the batteries Hart does, but please let me know if I’m wrong.

    I want someone to review the cordless grinder before I buy it

    • @BishjamIC
      @BishjamIC 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the grinder, being a woodworker primarily I have only used it a couple times sharpening lawn mower blades. It does that exceptionally well though! The handle is thinner than others I'd seen, the locking part isn't my favorite thing in the world, but I have enjoyed using all of my Hart tools.

    • @adamturner2507
      @adamturner2507 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BishjamIC so have i use the impact driver alot for the price you pay you actually get a decent tool and I've used the grinder it definitely needs the bigger battery

    • @BishjamIC
      @BishjamIC 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adamturner2507 The 4ah battery is much better for some uses, the circular saw chews through batteries. I got the 1/4 impact to add to my collection. Circ saw, 1/2 drill/driver, 1/2 impact wrench, 1/4 impact driver, the angle grinder now all in total and want to add a random orbital sander and a jig saw to round out the collection.

  • @TheMattsjeepsrt8

    You gotta buy the brushless. The brushed versions are junk. Brushless is great. I have all their brushless tools

    They need a real fast charger already I took mine back for that reason

    • @TheMattsjeepsrt8

      They have a 3amp charger. And also if you buy the brushless. It comes with a 2amp charger. Their brushed tools and chargers suck

    So it can remove & put lug nuts back on ? & if soo would you trust the tightness or would you still hit it with a wrench???

    • @ModernDIYProjects
      @ModernDIYProjects  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I left the bolts the way it tightened it. Some people will be very picky and put a torque wrench to it but I thought they were fine.

    • @robertbairt9094
      @robertbairt9094 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Run lugs up semi home(80%,) Then use Torque Wrench in cross pattern 2steps. Never Trust air or electric Lug Torque. To tight also🤐

    I've been really happy with my Hart tools so far. Bought the drill and driver combo for $94. Had a b&d 20v drill that I beat the daylights out of until it gave up the ghost.

    You didn't answer your own question if Hart is better than Bauer or Hercules.

    • @ModernDIYProjects
      @ModernDIYProjects  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At that time I would have said Hart was on par with Bauer. After using them for the long term, now I can say that they are below Bauer. Not as well constructed. Over time they seem to wear out faster. The Bauer also has a bit more power when you need it. It's an OK tool for the Home Gamer, but if you abuse your tools, get the Bauer instead, it's a bit tougher. Hercules is just too expensive IMO. For that I would buy a Dewalt or Milwaukee.

    • @robertbairt9094
      @robertbairt9094 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      23:30 Hart failed where the Bauer drove it home! I would drill a 1/4" pilot hole 4 the 3/8 big daddy 🔩

    Instead of Hart better buy Ryobi. Same parent company TTI but Hart is cheapened price wise and performance Ryobi. Some things like blower and lawnmovers are almost identical but tools they all seem to be cheapened Ryobi.

    • @ModernDIYProjects
      @ModernDIYProjects  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, at some point I think I mentioned that also. Seemed like the Ryobi gave a better performance to me. You can check out my Ryobi videos and see how you think they compare.

    • @jellyg.8961
      @jellyg.8961 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Read somewhere about a guy who bought one of the Hart drills that looks very similar to his Ryobi drill. He disassembled them side by side and the internals were practically the same, just a few pieces that were of a slight different color. I guess the main difference between most of the Ryobi and Hart electric tools is the batteries and firmware, to give Ryobi a slight edge on quality. The same has been said about Milwaukee and Ryobi tools. They are all made by the same umbrella corporation so it makes sense they share a lot of internals.
