I’ve been a Christian for many years and have struggled with addiction to many things. This has been my battle but at the same time it’s robbed me of serving Christ fully or even at a mediocre level. I have improved but still fall to my temptations, I constantly feel ashamed but I realize this is the battle between flesh and spirit. Pray I overcome family!!

That’s whack; OSAS Hebrews 6:18. ..It is impossible for god to lie. 3 verses in the Bible say your name can be blotted out of the book of life, for 3 various reasons; Psalm 69:28, revelation 3:5, 22:19!
Never receiving Jesus is not the only way to go to hell Says Matthew 7:21-23 ; verse 23 ‘away from me I never knew you’ does not apply to everybody, Jesus says this twice in verses 21 and 22! “Not everyone will say to me (on that day)……., yes many will say…..” If OSAS was true he would’ve said “everyone and all” instead of “not everyone and Many”! So not everyone will go to hell based on never knowing Jesus, and other verses will back this up as well! you can no longer use Matthew 7:23 to say they were never saved to begin with!
Same with 2 Peter 2 “after knowing the Lord, they went back into their vomit as a dog; or back into the mud as a pig wallowing in the mud”. The word ‘knowing’ is the same word in Matthew 7:23, it’s ‘ginosko’ in the Greek- it’s a salvific relationship with Jesus! So you can lose your salvation, says this verse as well!
2 Peter 2:20 “If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning!”
THEY ARE ENTANGLED IN THE CORRUPTION OF THE WORLD…AGAIN- says this verse! Jude 12 - “twice dead”; Dead in sin, born again, dead again!
And there’s many more; Revelation chapters 2 & 3 are full of ultimatums and all Jesus is focused on is our works!
Revelation 2: 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place!
Revelation 2:14 there are some among you….. 16 Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
These are just 2 and Jesus says “he who overcomes” , Overcomes is present active- future tense, and Jesus says this to all 7 churches, even the 2 good ones! You have to stay faithful to the end of your life to go to heaven!
John 3:16 is he who believes, or continues to believe will have eternal life! it doesn’t say ‘believed’ past tense, you have to maintain your faith to go to heaven!
The Greek word ‘believes’ is ‘Pistis’ which basically means faithfulness so faith equals faithfulness, according to the Bible!
So if you have problems with this, then you have problems with the word of God, the Bible!
You need to study these passages so that you can make it to heaven!
If your pastor cannot answer these questions according to what I just said, then you need to leave that church!

If someone gives me a gift, I must first accept that gift before I can use it.
Now, I never did anything to earn it, and the giver has assured me that no man can ever take it from me, but to say that I can never lose it is absurd.

Hi there, just came across your channel. It's very helpful. We are saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves, it is the gift of God. The gift of grace and salvation is offered to all, but a gift must be received. John 1:12. To repent means we are sincere in our desire for Christ. I do not remember what I said, but, the Sweet Holy Spirit knew my heart and when I made the move toward Jesus, He saved me! I was Baptized to show I identified wit Christ but, the theif on the cross did not have time to be Baptized, but Jesus said he would still be with Him. GOD IS AWESOME!!!

I appreciate you addressing the need to abide in faith, many wont touch it even though the NT repeats the need to abide, continue, stand, hold farr dozens of times. I just have a few questions for you.
#1 i agree with Ezekiel that God gives us a new heart, causing us to walk in his statute. But even at surface level, that isnt a statement to say we can ONLY walk in Gods statutes. It seems its more of an enabling causation, because apart from God's Spirit, no man can seek God. But once we are filled with the Spirit, we must still walk by the Spirit as to not fullfil the lusts of the flesh. Unless of course you beleive the Spirit causes in such a way that it takes over our human faculties to where we cant not follow the Spirit.
#2 Since it is still possible for a true Christian to sin, what is the danger of sin? Why are we told to flee? Why are Christians told in romans, corinth and hebrews that sin is deceitful and hardens the heart. And if you agree with those statements, what makes you think sin cannot harden the heart of a beleiver to a place where he no longer abides? Again, realizing that its possible for christians to not walk by the Spirit even though its in them.
Obviously your view hinges on the idea that idea that it's impossible for a Christian to stop abiding, but it's just odd to claim that when we see so many instructions telling us to abide. And you cant claim these instructions are for unbelievers... because if you dont have the Holy Spirit then you arent even able to abide in the first place, right? Its the Holy Spirit that is the cause of us walking in God's ways, but not in the sense that the Spirit is forcing us to stay and that there is a suspension of our will. The bible tells is that we have to put down our will and submit to God's. Again, the Spirit causes us to do that but we still have to submit, right?
I hope you see where I am coming from. All the glory in abiding comes from God because without His Spirit, no man is even able to abide. But my point is that why should we think the Spirit is suspending our ability to make free choices, including to sin which woukd decieve and harden the heart if we keep doing it.
Thank you for dealing with me. Im honestly here to learn

    • @BEABEREAN10
      @BEABEREAN10 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Jude 1:24 says God is ABLE to keep us. God who's job is defined as the vine and the vinedresser, I totally agree. But I think we need to filter that through John 15 which is essentially saying that if we don't abide, that he won't keep us, in fact the vinedresser will cut us off.
Again, my purpose here is to take the whole counsel of scripture together as a unit. I agree with John 6 and 10 that he will never lose us and we can't be plucked away...but I think as we move to John 15 it's clear that the promise is only true for those who abide, and the fact that the NT has dozens of calls to abide, I don't think we can assume that God hasn't given us a part to play in abiding.

@@estherphillip part of learning is done by offering your understanding so that someone else can explain why that understanding is wrong. Unfortunately, the direct reply to the questions is often bypassed with things that the teacher thinks should just be automatically accepted knowledge.
For example: if Corey were to prove to me using scripture that the indwelling Holy Spirit forces us to stay seated (abiding) and that we cannot resist the Spirit, then I would be forced to agree with OSAS. But I need that question answered because when Ezekiel says that the Spirit causes us to walk in God's ways, we can't assume the causation is unilateral since it's possible for a truly born again Christian to resist the Spirit and the ways of God which is sin.

That's so weird. It literally says, "... be baptized for the forgiveness of sins..." here, and in 2 Peter 2 it says "baptism now saves you..." and in other places, "...he who has been baptized into Christ has been clothed with Christ." And Jesus taught that we're regenerated by "water and the spirit" referring to water baptism. You're clearly not teaching the Bible as it was handed down by the apostles and every Christian understood this for the first 1,500 years of church history. You're simply repeating a Protestant tradition that you were taught by a Protestant who also received the same erroneous teaching. So much for "Sola Scriptura." You literally twisted the scripture to mean the exact opposite of the plain text. Hmmm....

What do you do with 2 Corinthians 5:18,19
      1 Corintians 15:1-5? king james?
At Romans 12:1 KJV your apostle Paul says:
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable *service."*
Paul said "Reasonable service" Not reasonalble salvation/justification.
How we live is how we live. And how we are saved, is how we are saved.
And people cannot be saved by how we live. Sanctification comes after salvation/justification.
Justification, is not the same as sanctification. They are two different words, that have two different definitions.
Take the time to note the context of the passage you are reading, and understand the meanings of the words.
2 Timothy 2:15kjv is THE KEY to understanding your king james Bible.
Ask yourself WHO is writing. WHO the audience is. When did this take place. Why was this being told. Are these instructions for my learning or my doing?
The verses you presented are about resonable service AFTER the individual has opened thier kj bible, and believes what they read. Paul is speaking to saved Jews. His "brethren".
"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, *his faith is counted for righteousness.*
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom *God imputeth righteousness without works,"* - Romans 4:5-6 KJV
What is the gospel of your salvation?
*To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.*
      Paul continues..
For he hath made him [Jesus] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
      Read 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 KJV
You see, It was by the cross that Jesus died for our sins according to scripture, he was buried, and he rose again on the third day according to the scritpures.
He did this to appease the soon coming wrath of God TO THEM THAT BELIEVE what he already accomplished on our behalf was enough.
You can find this outline of the "gospel of your salvation" at 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 king james.
That, my friend, is the glorious good news of the cross of Christ the man in this yt video never even mentioned once.
I hope this is helpful and edifying to you and all who read and believe.
Im here for you if you have bible questions.

btw, he said the baptism in Acts 2:38 saves you, so does he still feel that way since it is water baptism? if not, why not? Now what do we do after we have been baptized? I believe Col 3:1 gives us the answer, " If then you have been raised with Christ (talking about baptism, see Col 2:12) seek THE THINGS THAT ARE ABOVE, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set YOUR MINDS on things above, not on things that are on earth......". Please don't be ignorant, Jesus makes a promise using a metaphor: “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” How much water is flowing out of you?
Jesus had told Nicodemus that one had to be born of water and the Spirit in order to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5). Jesus’ reference to water here was an allusion either to physical birth or to the Jewish concept of washing as a symbol of spiritual cleansing (see Ezekiel 36:25). In John 4:10 Jesus tells the Samaritan woman that He could give her “living water.” This was in contrast to the physical water that the Samaritan woman came to the well to retrieve. That physical water would run out, and she would need to continually return to get more. But Jesus offered the woman water that would never run out-water that would become within the believer “a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14).
After offering living water, Jesus adds that rivers of living water would flow from the heart of the believer (John 7:38). Here Jesus alludes to Isaiah 55:1 and Isaiah 58:11-passages that similarly present the Messianic hope in terms of life-giving water (cf. Exodus 17:1-6; Psalm 78:15-16; 105:40-41; Proverbs 18:4; Isaiah 12:3; Ezekiel 47:1-11; and Zechariah 14:8). In stating that rivers of living water would flow from believers, Jesus was claiming to be the fulfillment of Scripture’s water allusions and prophecies. Because He is the Life-giver, those who believe in Him will have eternal life within them and no longer need to seek for life from external sources.
God puts His Spirit within each believer (Romans 8:9), and each believer has eternal life (John 6:47) and the evidence of life (in the Holy Spirit) within. It is in that sense that “rivers of living water” flow from the hearts of believers. Commentator Joseph Benson wrote that the believer “shall receive spiritual blessings, or communications of divine grace, in so great an abundance, that he shall not only be refreshed and comforted himself, but shall be instrumental in refreshing and comforting others” (Benson Commentary on the Old and New Testaments).
Paul describes how, in love, Christ sanctifies His church, washing her with the water of His word (Ephesians 5:25-26). The writer of Hebrews continues the theme, noting that our hearts are sprinkled and “our bodies washed with pure water” (Hebrews 10:22). Peter adds that believers are cleansed as if by water (1 Peter 3:20-21). Finally, in a beautiful portrayal of Jesus’ ministry, John says that the Lamb would be the Shepherd, leading His people to the water of life (Revelation 7:17). This is reminiscent of David’s song of Psalm 23 in which the Shepherd leads David beside quiet waters and restores his soul (Psalm 23:2-3). Jesus is the One who freely gives eternal life. “If you . . . know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:13).

Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom to Israel during his earthly ministry Mt 4:23, Mt 9:35, Mk 1:14, Mt 4:17. John the Baptist preached the gospel of the kingdom to Israel LK 16:16, Mt 3:2. Water baptism is preached/taught and is required for the remission of sin, as part of the gospel of the kingdom, Mk 1:4, Lk 3:3. All that believed were baptized, those who rejected and did not believe, did not get baptized Lk 7: 29-30.
In Acts 2 Peter is speaking to Israel only! He instructs them to repent, change their mind about who Jesus is. He had just told them they crucified the Son of God Jesus.
    Acts 2: 36-38
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Salvation today is by believing the Gospel of Christ and the preaching of Jesus according to the revelation of the mystery.

Instead we are now free from the bondage of sin and have the holy spirit living within us who now enables us to go out and serve God and praise God for it. True liberation! In the beginning we are made alive who were once dead in trespasses and sin. God delivers us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of his son. That's just the beginning of our lifelong journey our walk our conversion. We are out of Egypt but not in promise land yet. Jesus said everyone in his kingdom will not enter the kingdom of God in the end.....the son of man will send out his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. He who has ears to hear let him hear......and as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for him he will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation......but you have a hard and stubborn heart, and so you are making your own punishment even greater on the day when God's anger and righteous judgement will be revealed. For God will reward each of us according to what we have done. Some people keep on doing good and seek glory honor and immortal life, to them God will give eternal life. Other people are selfish and reject what is right in order to follow what is wrong, on them God will pour out his anger and fury. There will be suffering and pain for all those who do what is evil, for the Jews first and also the Gentiles. But God will give glory honor and peace to all who do what is good, to the Jews first and also the Gentiles. For God judges everyone by the same standard......marvel not at this for the hour is coming in which all who are in the Graves will hear his voice and come forth those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation......according to scripture when rightly divided truth pertaining to salvation there is a difference between being saved made alive our conversion in the beginning and being resurrected unto life when Christ returns judgement our resurrection eternal salvation. That's why it not only matters if we believe remain faithful to Christ. It also matters how we live our walk our righteousness now in this lifetime........has nothing to do with keeping Torah laws or trying to earn salvation.....

Baptism in the name of Jesus is water baptism, In Acts 10:47 it says, " Can anyone forbid WATER for baptizing these people....And he commanded them to be baptized IN THE NAME OF JESUS" . Acts 2:38 " Repent and be baptized IN THE NAME OF JESUS for the remission of your sins".
Second, this was something they were suppose to do, in v37 they ask " What must we do?" How could they DO HS baptism? It also says in v38 that they would receive the "GIFT" of the HS , what was the GIFT? I believe v 41 tells us, " So those who received the word(Repented) were baptized (water) and there were added (gift)....Now what were they added to? v47 and the Lord ADDED TO THE SAVED..." so the gift is being added to the saved or forgiveness of sins.
Next is Acts 8:26 Philip and the Eunuch, it says that Philip preached Jesus to the Eunuch v35 and as they went along they came to some WATER and the Eunuch said " what prevents me from being baptized?" and they both went down into the water and Philip baptized him. No mention of HS baptism.
Lastly, 1 peter 3:20-21 " eight persons were saved through water. Baptism, which corresponds with this, now SAVES YOU". John 3:5 Jesus says, " Except a man be born of water and the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven". Eph 5:26 " tat he might cleanse her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word".
It is water baptism in Acts 2:38

notice acts 10: is the first-time peter knew gentiles could get saved and receive the holy spirit , also notice the holy spirit came first then the baptism, that's not how it was in acts 2 it was water first , God did something completely new when he converted Saul of tarsus to the apostle Paul the apostle to the gentiles in acts 9 he revealed several mysteries to Paul the other disciples didn't know teach or preach one was the body of Christ where now there's no difference between jew and gentile! and now in the body there's one baptism
(Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,)
and its the spirit that baptizes us into the body
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
but there's more than 1 baptism in the bible
      Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
thats why its so, so , so important to rightly divide the truth!!!!!!!!! (2 timothy 2 :15)
1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

@@wolfwatchers I believe in Acts 10 the HS came first to convince the Jews that were with Peter that the Gentiles were now accepted by God, at least that is what it says. I believe the baptism in 1 Cor 12 is water baptism, clearly pointed out in Acts 10 and other verses. There were only two occasion of HS baptism, Acts 2 it fell upon the apostles and the 120 and in Acts 10. In Acts 2:17 it says "I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh". Jews/Gentile, Jews in Acts 2and Gentiles in Acts 10, all flesh. The other times the HS was given was done by the laying on hands by the apostles, look at Acts 8:18 " Now when Simon saw that the HS was given through the laying on of the apostle's hands..." Acts 19:6 " When Paul had laid his hands upon them, the HS came upon them'..." this was not HS baptism. So, when the apostles died, so did receiving the HS.
1Cor 1:17 is a not/but statement, " For Christ sent me not to baptize (only) but (also) to preached the gospel"...or why else did Paul baptize? but since you think that is HS baptism, then Paul was sent not to do HS baptism. Saying all that, you never ever dealt with Acts 10:47 " Can any man FORBID WATER?" and he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus".....well there is one person who would have forbid it, WOLFWATCHERS.
Baptism in the name of Jesus is water baptism and it is for the remission of sins and in Eph 4 Paul says there is one baptism, you apparently have two? I will go with what Paul said. You never dealt with what Peter says in Acts 10:47-48 it is pretty ez to understand

First and foremost, the Bible says my people perish from lack of knowledge number one was the thief on the cross baptize. No number 2 number 2 nobody named Jesus Christ was crucified. The letter j did not even exist in the alphabetical languages of the Hebrew, the Greek northern Latin at the time of the crucifixion. So what you're talking about is image and idle works. Jesus Christ is a picture that was painted in the 17th century To wow guess what slavery started in the sixteenth century they weren't allowed To read the bible his name wasYASHUA.. Which is the only name by which a man shall be saved. Now, I notice you talking about all these words what they mean and so forth and so on, but yet you do not know or understand the name of salvation that was on the tree. It was not Jesus Christ even when they went to pilot and say change that he said. What I have written. Which was the fulfilling of the prophecy that 1 should die for the sins of the people and his name was not Jesus Christ. . so I'm amazed that you got all the Sun to standing about words and where it came from, but you don't even understand the name of salvation. That was on the tree because in the Hebrew that was above the Greek and the Latin, which means that name is, above all names and you born and send shaping and wickedness. No man has the right to change the name of salvaccording to that language. Because if you speak what you know. Language was the curse from the tower baby. He cursed and languages of scattered them because they tried to build that towel and a tack heaven. So it has nothing to do with your language. It's only one name above all names and it was not Jesus christhat's a picture and a statue and the Hebrew boy said we will not worship the image nor the statue. That's scripture, not my thoughts, not my belief. I don't do religion cause all of religions. Go back to a man. Men create religion god created relationship with this only be gotten.. And by the way, the one thing said, get us down and get yourself down. The other one said, don't you believe God he's done nothing wrong. We deserve to be up here, Lord, when you come into your Kingdom. Remember me there was no baptism. The accepted his sin and he said. I deserve this, but when you come in your Kingdom. Remember me, he cried out to the Lord and got salvation. So on your death bed with your last breath. You can receive salvation that's in the scripture. Man's tradition is getting Baptized and confessional sins and let the preacher lay hands-on you. That's a man's tradition he said when you go into your closet, you have shut the door and you pray to the father's secret, he will reward you openly, he said also anything you believe in doubt not and ask if my name shall be given on to you. Cause I go to the fault. That three fall across believed in salvation when he said lord remember me
