The GS had the better AWD and RWD models while the ES has FWD. They do offer AWD on the newer ES but only with the ES250 which has a weak engine. The GS is such a great car. Basically, if you're looking for a used midsize luxury car between $24k-$35k, the GS is the best you can get.
Agreed…it’s a gem if you know and I don’t see them for sale often around here. Personally I like the design/layout better than the ES, but gen pop only wants soft suspension fwd and crossovers.
@@thekhakiobserver3128one thing to note though. Be ready to pay a lot for the premium gas. The AWD version gets like 20mpg average for me and is making me strongly consider trading it in for a brand new car lease instead. 😭 I love my GS though and I’ve only had it 1 1/2 years!
These cars are truly fantastic. I have a white on red 2016 GS350 F-Sport that I bought four years ago today with 41k miles for $31k (Original MSRP $58k), now with 80k miles & still feels as solid as a new one! I'm for sure not planning on replacing it any time soon! It's more firm feeling than other Lexus vehicles I've driven for sure such as the ES & RX, but still has a very smooth & comfortable ride with much better driving dynamics! The refreshed 2016 model like mine have the metal trim on the window switches. Lexus made all of the advance safety features standard on the 2017 models. They were optional before then, but my car has them. Really sad that Lexus killed the GS, but happy at the same time since I already see very few of them on the road every week here in SoCal, especially the 2016-2020 models.
I have a 2008 GS350, best car I've ever owned. You didn't mention this car is RWD, versus FWD for the ES350. Much more sporting handling and ride with RWD. The GS glides down the road, free of noise or vibration. Strong acceleration with 300hp. Car is very refined. I will buy another when that time comes.
Nice! I don’t blame ya, but I think that ppl that have them are horsing them bc they know what they have. Sedans are going extinct especially mid sized rwd sedans that have refinement like this one.
I'm glad you like it but I think you are misunderstanding the relationship between this and the ES. The ES has very similar power capabilities as the GS, but the GS main difference from ES is the firmer ride and the better handling due to the AWD or RWD drivetrain as opposed to FWD in the ES. This one is great but it lacks the Mark Levinson sound system and also the F Sport package which is mainly appearance, but does get you more edge in the handling department as well as (in my opinion) a better look. Any of these are bulletproof tanks and a solid investment compared to a risky German car.
Okay nice! Thanks for the info. That makes sense. With overlap like that the ES was going to win out. I might have to get a GS, because like you said their going to be bulletproof like you said u like the Audis I’ve been eyeing.
@@thekhakiobserver3128 it’s upsetting that they discontinued these amazing vehicles gonna try to snag one in the near future 2015 up tho since that’s when they brought the 8 speed transmission for there RWD models
dude this is the most beautiful generation of GS, from 2013 to 2015, beautiful elegant cars
Agreed….super underrated.
Also agree!

Nice sounds like you have a dope spec and need to hold onto it. I don’t see that many on the road, you gotta hold o to that thang 👌

Drive it, and you will know what sets it apart!
It doesn’t look like a 2023/2024 car, it looks better
That car will last longer than any car on that lot. Mine has 150K and has zero issues
@@trenitty81 nice. I’ve been doing great maintenance on my 2015 GS and it just hit 63k miles. Great car and smooth like it’s brand new.
Big Facts☝🏻💯
I have a rare 2017 GS F V8. Best looking Lexus sedan and performance ever made.
Oh u fancy! well done 💪💪

The midnight blue colorway is my favorite
Yeah those owners will never let em go. I’d love to have one in that color for sure 👌

The ES is nowhere near as capable or quick as the GS.
@@ttthatchvery different platform between the 2
Should I trade my '16 BMW 550i for this ? I like Lexus but the BMW is doing good right now and 480HP. 🤔
@@abelanc1090 GS would feel as slow as a Corolla to you LOL. It would outlast the 550 though of that I'm sure.
Was that an ash tray in the backseat door?? Very curious
It looks like one but it’s lined in felt and not supposed to be used lol
They have a nonsmoking sign on it lol. I have a 15 f sport and I don’t use it
Only reason the GS in my opinion is better than a ES is there rear wheel drive instead of the ES that’s front or AWD
Yeah the GS is definitely more of a driver’s car w/the RWD set up.

Wow good to know…A rwd Lexus w/an 8 speed is 🔥🔥
The ES is for taxi cab drivers
The GS is far more expensive and exclusive
I liked the review, good job 👏🏽
Is it better than 2020 chevy malibu LT?
😂😂😂
U got to be trollin’ n mad disrespectful or work for a GM factory lol
You thought it was an IS? SMH.
Yo chilll it was at a glance homie lol
