I’m a counter fighter, I wait until the enemy attacks first.. I was able to the beat the Berzerker King by just countering his attacks but Gna is fucking fast! I get hit all the time

Dude thanks for this. the triple beserker in alfheim was the last I did before the king. That fight was easily the hardest, though gna wrecked me till I watched this. My build was close to this using the rem shifts for damage bursts but the bifrost storm is genius!

Trying to take her on toe to toe has been a nightmare. Usually when I struggled with a fight, I could persevere, like with the Berserker King, I was able to create some distance, use my defensive tactics to open him up to damage…Gna is a whole different animal, she’s relentless in her attacks, and dodging may not work, especially if you double dodge left (red circle wing attack). Brutal.
I found the Berserker King harder compared to Gna when I first fought these two. But both fights were fun. With BK, the area is large, so there is space for maneuverability. Gna's area is smaller and she keeps you on your toes.

My advice is stick with whatever ur already familiar and good with.trying to learn some nerds play style can ruin ur day .cause it works for him dosent mean it will work for you

I somehow got extremely lucky. I challenged her before the Beserker King. On my 3rd try I held square (ps5) for freya to do her runic attack which was the electric floor one….at that time I got hit and downed but used a rez stone (superior rez stone) and I guess from the luck of god of war himself, I was revived and thru the next 2 mins Gna was stuck in an infinite loop of taking damage and flinching. Not wanting to mess it up I stayed back and kept throwing my axe at her. And luckily it worked. I def should still to this day be trying to beat her lol. BUT I’m here bc I like that this guy is explaining how he beat her and it’s not just another flex video showing that he could.

Never commented on a video before but vowed never to try this after a brief attempt just to see how difficult it was, after using all runic attacks and still only taking up two health bars I just assumed I'd never manage it and to save my frustration. Tried this build and was amazed it worked! Most guides are just by good players expecting you to be as good as them, but the guide at the start allowed me to get half her health down pretty much every time, gave me the impetus to keep trying! Still took ages but got there in the end, much appreciated.
Finally! A video that is actually informative as to what is going on rather than just showing off. I've still got a fair bit to do before feeling confident about taking her on, but this certainly gives some ideas. Don't think it will be done in a couple of minutes though 🤣
Just did it with your build on "Give me no mercy" difficulty. Doesn't work as well as in the video cause she can break through my attacks but I did in 4 tries ! Thanks a lot !
I beat all the bosses in the game without help, including the berserker king. But after an hour of getting stomped by Gna, I finally cracked and searched up your guide. Beat her within two tries! Thanks, you are the best.
Wow, clickbait, it took me 2 minutes and 20 seconds to beat her with this guide!!! But jokes aside, even tho it took me infinite amount of tries and 4 hours of my life, i dont think i would be able to beat her ever without this guide, than you so much!
I literally had more trouble fighting the berserker and his wife combo. Because I fought them at the beginning of the game and it was one or two hit kill and I tried gna after and it was difficult but not impossible. Because fighting the two berserker made so much better 😂 and when I 99% completed the game I came back and fought her with 490 strength and like 450 defense or something in the dragon armor and literally using all of those special attacks Kratos has with each weapon and sparton rage alone does like 1/3 or half her health and than you just try to survive the rest of the fight but since you’re so strong at this point she can hit you multiple times and it won’t kill you so you’ll be fine and also having the resurrection stone helps a lot but I didn’t need it for her
Thank you for the build! Look I'll go and say it and i'm sure the rest share the same feelings! Gna is a f'en b*tch! lol This build is - High Risk, High Reward. It gets the job done for sure! I will say though, your gonna take a couple L's at first (took about 15-20 tries for me). Gotta get familiar with Gna's attacks on when to dodge and when to shield up. Plus gotta learn your own relic pattern attack as well. 😅Tbh... Looking back at the clip I saved... I don't even know how I survived some attacks lol. Again thanks for the build!

It should NEVER require anybody to put together a specific build just to beat a boss. NEVER. That's one of the reasons why this game is awful for going for the platinum. I'm sure this video is wonderful, but when you need a particular build on EASY MODE to beat a boss or two, you have a poorly designed game on your hands from that viewpoint.
I understand your point, but, in any game, you fight to get better equipment and accessories. Same applies here. No you don’t need necessarily need ONE particular build to get the job done - there are a number of ways to defeat Gna or any of the other bosses. I’m just showcasing one of those many builds. I’ve defeated the Berserker King using only the Axe with nothing super powerful as a build. And that’s what makes it fun. You can come up with anything and play the game you like.

It still took me 15 tries but I finally got her. And that was only on balance difficulty haha You’re a legend!

I couldn't understand how you were causing so much damage with every hit. Then it dawned on me, you are not playing on the hardest setting, God of War mode. I tried your method and I can say after trying every kind of configuration with the weapons and armor, there is not a special set up that makes much difference. You have to grind it out with whatever configuration that benefits you. Parry and avoid being hit as best you can. I've beat every boss in the game except Gna. This is probably where I'm giving up. I do not feel like spending hours on defeating this last character when I've already completed the game. To sum this comment up, On God of War difficulty, this clip has no value.

Amazing help, but still having trouble. I don't know if it's due to the updates, but Gna simply reacts too fast in between my runic attacks and there's no stopping her.
This game is broken at a lot of places. There are people like who just want to play it easy after a job, not grind. It is pointless to have such difficulty even at easiest level. It is just stupid from developers who just want to increase the playtime without adding content.

While I see the benefits of this guide you fail to mention that she jumps around and this fails 99% of the time. It does an excellent job of chunking her, but I’m on attempt at least 25 and I’ve never gotten her down to 2 bars using this method. I’ve gotten her down to 4 bars and then got to 1 just fighting, but she doesn’t stay in one spot long enough. I think it’s important to note that at the beginning of the video

Im playing on give me challenge difficulty and every time she gets to 1-2 bars ill be out of cooldowns, rage and revives, took me a few hours and the full realm shift set to do it. God damn cant wait for her to 1 shot me in no mercy level.
I’m sorry but when I do the initial combos you mentioned, the blades aren’t getting full immolation and I’m not able to do much damage during the realm shift.
I tried her for days before I used the build where her stun bar doesn't drain when using unarmed attack. Took her down the 3rd time with that build. Lol

I somehow got extremely lucky. I challenged her before the Beserker King. On my 3rd try I held square (ps5) for freya to do her runic attack which was the electric floor one….at that time I got hit and downed but used a rez stone (superior rez stone) and I guess from the luck of god of war himself, I was revived and thru the next 2 mins Gna was stuck in an infinite loop of taking damage and flinching. Not wanting to mess it up I stayed back and kept throwing my axe at her. And luckily it worked. I def should still to this day be trying to beat her lol. BUT I’m here bc I like that this guy is explaining how he beat her and it’s not just another flex video showing that he could.

Never commented on a video before but vowed never to try this after a brief attempt just to see how difficult it was, after using all runic attacks and still only taking up two health bars I just assumed I'd never manage it and to save my frustration. Tried this build and was amazed it worked!
Most guides are just by good players expecting you to be as good as them, but the guide at the start allowed me to get half her health down pretty much every time, gave me the impetus to keep trying!
Still took ages but got there in the end, much appreciated.

Just did it with your build on "Give me no mercy" difficulty. Doesn't work as well as in the video cause she can break through my attacks but I did in 4 tries ! Thanks a lot !

I literally had more trouble fighting the berserker and his wife combo. Because I fought them at the beginning of the game and it was one or two hit kill and I tried gna after and it was difficult but not impossible. Because fighting the two berserker made so much better 😂 and when I 99% completed the game I came back and fought her with 490 strength and like 450 defense or something in the dragon armor and literally using all of those special attacks Kratos has with each weapon and sparton rage alone does like 1/3 or half her health and than you just try to survive the rest of the fight but since you’re so strong at this point she can hit you multiple times and it won’t kill you so you’ll be fine and also having the resurrection stone helps a lot but I didn’t need it for her

This build is - High Risk, High Reward.
It gets the job done for sure! I will say though, your gonna take a couple L's at first (took about 15-20 tries for me). Gotta get familiar with Gna's attacks on when to dodge and when to shield up. Plus gotta learn your own relic pattern attack as well.
😅Tbh... Looking back at the clip I saved... I don't even know how I survived some attacks lol.

It should NEVER require anybody to put together a specific build just to beat a boss. NEVER. That's one of the reasons why this game is awful for going for the platinum. I'm sure this video is wonderful, but when you need a particular build on EASY MODE to beat a boss or two, you have a poorly designed game on your hands from that viewpoint.
I understand your point, but, in any game, you fight to get better equipment and accessories. Same applies here. No you don’t need necessarily need ONE particular build to get the job done - there are a number of ways to defeat Gna or any of the other bosses. I’m just showcasing one of those many builds. I’ve defeated the Berserker King using only the Axe with nothing super powerful as a build. And that’s what makes it fun. You can come up with anything and play the game you like.
Thank you so much for this simple but detailed guide. I couldn’t be bothered going through the trials to get the surtr wrist armour but I have the same items and weapons as the rest of your guide. It still took me 15 tries but I finally got her. And that was only on balance difficulty haha

Thanks mate, had toget some extra hits here and there, but this build worked wonders on give me no mercy difficulty. Took me about 2 minutes and 30 seconds on my winning attempt.

I couldn't understand how you were causing so much damage with every hit. Then it dawned on me, you are not playing on the hardest setting, God of War mode.
I tried your method and I can say after trying every kind of configuration with the weapons and armor, there is not a special set up that makes much difference. You have to grind it out with whatever configuration that benefits you. Parry and avoid being hit as best you can.
I've beat every boss in the game except Gna. This is probably where I'm giving up. I do not feel like spending hours on defeating this last character when I've already completed the game.
To sum this comment up, On God of War difficulty, this clip has no value.

Amazing help, but still having trouble. I don't know if it's due to the updates, but Gna simply reacts too fast in between my runic attacks and there's no stopping her.

This game is broken at a lot of places. There are people like who just want to play it easy after a job, not grind. It is pointless to have such difficulty even at easiest level. It is just stupid from developers who just want to increase the playtime without adding content.

While I see the benefits of this guide you fail to mention that she jumps around and this fails 99% of the time.
It does an excellent job of chunking her, but I’m on attempt at least 25 and I’ve never gotten her down to 2 bars using this method. I’ve gotten her down to 4 bars and then got to 1 just fighting, but she doesn’t stay in one spot long enough.

Im playing on give me challenge difficulty and every time she gets to 1-2 bars ill be out of cooldowns, rage and revives, took me a few hours and the full realm shift set to do it. God damn cant wait for her to 1 shot me in no mercy level.

I’m sorry but when I do the initial combos you mentioned, the blades aren’t getting full immolation and I’m not able to do much damage during the realm shift.
Which difficulty are you playing on? Is this your first time or are you on NG+?
