This is kind of putting the cart before the horse, or a catch 22. To get this particular build that "destroys the end game", you need to beat pretty much all of the hardest fights in the game save one to unlock it. If you can already do those fights prior to this build actually coming online, then what's the point of caring that you have it after that when there's nothing left but a single fight that could be a challenge?
This is a good post! This build, along with a few others that I've seen, it seems the majority of these players have finished the hardest parts of the game. I am still trying to level up my armor. I am playing the game and I don't understand how these players have level 9 on all of their equipment. I guess I need to pay attention to gathering more resources.

I did read online though that it’s possible to max out each armour set in one play through? But I am not sure if that’s the same for every difficulty mode….
@@alanmathews1716 a lot of the material you need to level up your gear won't be given to you until the late late game. In fact, as far as I'm aware, it's impossible to fully level up Kratos to level 9 until *after* you've beaten the main story. Just make sure you're fully exploring everything and doing all of the side content and you should for sure get to level 8 before the final mission.
There's a blade attachment that makes Hyperion Grapple do INSANE stun damage. I used it for most of the game combined with Niðavellir Armor to make it so stun never drops and R3 stun grabs give you health. And Svartalfheim rune set deals stun based on defense which is almost maxed out. Most enemies go down with one hyperion grapple and a stun grab. Some elites take a couple to go down. Doesn't work on some bosses but at least stun never drops so you always get that max stun damage eventually. Pair with stun upgrades on a bunch of your skills. Works pretty well. Almost took down GNÁ bare-handed
Best end game build I'm running right now is a full set of Lundas armor. Some stuff that buffs status effect. And then go around fit fighting everyone.
My first playthrough was on the normal (give me balance) difficulty and i beat Gna on my first try. The hardest boss for me was the Berserker King who killed me 4x. I was PL9 against both so maximum. For comparison in the 2018 game i needed around 20-30x tries to kill the Valkyrie Queen in my first playthrough (also normal difficulty). As for equipment i used the chest piece which increased dmg based on your rage and also depletes rage once your hp drop to 1 and gloves/belt i used those which reduce enemy stun drain bar by 100%. For amulet i used 3 pieces for stun damage based on defence, 3 pieces that increase max rage based on vitality and last 3 pieces were regen, greater regen and increased dodging distance. Nothing crazy special but it worked just fine and unlike this build in the video the pieces i used you obtain in the first half of the game. I am looking forward to Give me GoW difficulty.
Here’s some better builds: Steinbjorn chest, beserker gauntlets (or raven gauntlets if you need more health), beserker waist. Then just put the 3 relic sets that go with defense, and choose 3 like he did in the video or those are just personal preference imo. Another build I’ve been loving post platinum gmgow is the hunter set. With asgards and Midgards relics you are an unstoppable force with the spear from a distance. But I wouldn’t recommend against gna. Can do all 6 musohelheim challenges within 20 minutes with that build. Another strong build was mentioned by someone else. Nidvellirs plackart raven gloves beserker bottom or really any bottom of your choice. I use grip of radiant reflection, hardened war handle and mighty Olympic. Hope I helped at least one person!
Just some advice for anyone that was struggling like I was. I had it on “give me balance” difficulty which I’m sorry no matter what build you have you are going to struggle with a few bosses. The Berserker King, GNA and the Gravestone in the Mist Lands were all pretty tough. I tried out every single build you can think of and in the end the Steinborn armor was what I used. Also this build is good for nothing because by the time you get it the game is over, with no more enemies to punish.
agreed. I'm stuck on the berserker king. I've done everything else in the game, even gna and I just can't beat this dude. I've tried numerous builds and it all equates to youtubers needing views so they title their videos with "best build ever OMG BUY MY SHIT" titles. The end result is to use steinborn armor and learn the boss. GG
@@drewpickett2565 no build is gonna win these fights for you. Look up boss guides rather than build videos. Keep at it, learn the enemy move sets and how to react to them. It's the only way. Good luck!
Damn, looks like I've run out of those crystals to upgrade my Lion's Roar Sauroter. Hope I can get more as it's beginning to look unlikely after picking all those crystals for the Wishing Well.
@@funmylife9248 yeah, that's true but I think I've collected all the raw crystals in the jungle though mind you, that area where you release the water? I'm still trying to figure out the wheel as if there's something hidden in that area.
So, for some reason the Stone Idol of souls never appeared after beating the troll. That said, I still went to fight Gna after getting everything else. Did not even need to use a resurrection stone. This build absolutely slaps.
Sorry to hear the Stone Idol of Souls never dropped. I've heard many others say that as well. I'm glad the rest of the build paid off, though! Now we just gotta wait for that NG+
@@Dr_Diaz absolutely not, you just need to upgrade the starter armor to lvl 7, then you got on every piece 4 stats extra. midgame was so easy cause you got so much cd reduce, runic power, luck and vitality. with the right emblems you can heal yourself and gg.

The berserker king imo was easier to use the wrath spartan rage setting to break up attacks when you block the first hit of a yellow ring attack and get stuck being hit by the next two you can just break out of it... Then if you get knocked down and use your resurrection stone, switch up to the fury Spartan rage to recoup health and do big damage ... His element weapon shields are stupid but if you use the right weapon they go away quick .. I honestly think the berserker king was harder than gna imo... She hits a lot harder and is harder to dodge but when you get in the flow w her her HP melts off quicker... To be fair you get a runic attack beating the berserker king that is insane especially when you combine it w the bifrost storm medallion for using 3 consecutive runic attacks... The queen gives you a shield that lets you throw Valkyrie feathers at enemies . Learn to manage your rage bar so you can break up attacks if you get stunned or locked in an animation at the wrong time.

Builds matter very little when you are at a higher difficulty like no mercy or GMGoW. I'm attempting Gna at No Mercy with full runic build and am able to bring her to 50% hp before she can even touch me. Afterwards while my runic attacks are charging its all upto how well I dodge cuz normal hits tickle her. She also chains her attacks in unpredictable ways so it starts become more and more reaction based the lower her health becomes.
Anyone not used to GOW or has not played since 2018 to try balanced difficulty!!!!!! I made theistake of playing on give me mercy 😂😂😂😂😂 Not sure what 120hz hdmi 2.1 differs from normal 60hz TV but when I do attacks I find it harder to cancel and parry/ evade attacks quicker compared to insane gow TH-camr elites. You are def right about higher difficulty, I am on give mercy and the berserker king was a pain until I got better a parrying, evading and knowing all the moves. Only gna to defeat now but seems to 2 shot me lol after a few quick tries.

I AM crazy! But yeah, I would face the berserkers around level 5+. A bunch of them are pretty easy with limited move sets. Some will take a bit of practice, and you'll want to get to a higher level to take out some of the ones in Alfheim, especially
My beef w/ relic builds is having time to cast the relic skill. You can't take a hit on higher difficulty so i feel like the fist or nine realms build works better. Valor is good b/c you can dodge hits w/ it & get a strength bonus. If you ain't parrying w/ valor you f'n up!
for the end game bosses nothing worked for me. so i did my own build of the might armour set, full strength with the nine realms buffs with the level 9 stone shield to block most attacks. used the spear as main weapon with all luck items in the amulet for the spear boost. this build with how i play worked for me on the bosses.
Good on you for that! I love the spear as well and smart for boosting your spear output with the luck. I might do something like that on my next playthrough. NG+ where are you??
For a completely balanced build upgrade all the first items you get even handles. You won't get any perks but you will have the highest overall stats possible. But hold on, are you telling me luck boosts spear damage? I'm pretty sure all melee is determined by strength. Otherwise the strength stat would be completely useless outside of using the axe.
@@Stjimmyrulesx think of it like rpg games if a weapon is mainly strength or faith or dexterity or magic you put everything into what that weapon is. im no expert but i use the spear all time and when i improved my luck stats the spear was alot better. you can have max defense and be a tank where hardly anything hurts you but your attack is death by a thousand cuts. or you could have only strength but any hit would kill you. you could be runic with fast cool down times and just cheese by only using them all the time.not everything is simple has strength is everything.
@@eppy5630 I never said it was that simple, but the axe is strength, the blades are runic and the spear is luck. Luck boosts how often perks activate, runic boosts runic attacks, if the stats worked like you say strength would only boost the axe, it would be pointless otherwise. If you're doing better it's because your perks are activating more, not because the spear got stronger.
Gná was easy I didn't even use rage. I recommend using the dragon scale armor and the berserker chest piece. For the weapons realm shift for everything and for the amulet buffs to damage and during realm shift
I can't stand that glass cannon build because anything above normal you're gonna get one hit killed pretty much if ur realm shift attacks get interrupted. At least that one never worked for me.
I didn't get that enchantment when I fought the troll in your video. I got something called poison protector. So perhaps the order they drop is randomized.
Yeah man, I think you're right. I've seen a lot of people mention that as well. Have you tried the other trolls? There is one in Midgard and two in Vanaheim
I’ve almost completed everything in the game. The only things left for me are defeating the berserker king and valkyrie queen which feel impossible so this video is very helpful to people in my situation. Thanks!

What do you recommend for a runic attack for someone who hasn't beat bezerker king or gna. Which is basically all I have left besides a couple annoying treasures to get 100 percent
Do you mean relic? Hilt of Angrvadall is a solid relic with a quick cooldown. As for the light and heavy runic attacks, all of the ones in my video can be obtained without having defeated the Berserker King or Gna
A bit late on comments, but kinda want to reinforce that to obtain everything from the build, you need to kill one of 2 top tier bosses. Which is make things even worse, since you have to defeat berserkers trio in Alfheim, to unlock Hrolf. I am surprised anyone who beat them, has problems with Hrolf or Gna. Swap the relic for anything else, and this build actually become interesting. Because now you need only berserker from Midgard, easiest one by far, and berserker from Nifleheim, which is a bit harder, but nothing compared to Trio or even Duo. Realm Shift relic is always a good option.
Lundas set is the best in end game Freya can make sure poison is applied consistently and its not hard to switch to bare handed to apply it yourself. Poison makes them deal less and take more damage. I use the runic storm and sigil of doom enchantments to get a 14sec bifrost storm and make hexes explode for massive damage. The rond of distruption spawns elemental storms that with bifrost storm can melt enemies and the glaive relic makes sure you have 2 ways to get bifrost on enemies.
@@arcanis12 no there is nothing out about it yet.its just a try and error thing. i was stuck on the gna boss seen a video where they beat her in 2 mins with poison build from a week ago.i noticed in comments a few ppl it didnt work for them and it was the same for me and it was the exact same for the berserker boss the poison build did nothing. did both with my own build of strength at 600 with max stone shield in the end.
@@eppy5630 i know it doesn't effect bosses as much or as long but it definitely works and the gauntlets and waist bonuses still do too. I beat Gna only a couple days ago and poison definitely applied to her in the fight.
You need to kill all the trolls to get the stone idol of souls. I found this out when I didn’t get it for killing Bjarg, but 3 more troll fights later I got it.

was i the only one who saw how op the beginner armor would be if upgraded to level 9? I am not a hundred percent sure but I think it was strength and defense 68 and everything else (runic, cooldown, vitality etc.) 48 it seems like the best armor set to me if you don't really have a certain playstyle
Overall the stats don’t effect the actual gameplay too much compared to the effects on armor pieces. For example there’s builds that can take down Gna in 30 seconds. You can’t do that with default armor
@@timmyrau2806 it's not always about killing in the fastest time possible its also about enjoying a long challenging fight and being able to SURVIVE thru it. Everything doesn't need to be a speed run.

Well I play on Give me God of War Difficulty and I wouldn’t want to spend way to much time to fight a Boss just to get two or one shot near the end of the fight so thats why I run the berserker armor so that I can save time
This video leads you to believe it’s mainly for Gna but you don’t show yourself fighting her. And the double tap x to cleanse status wouldn’t be helpful with her with her bifrost right?
The best build for me is the one that you get in the beginning of the game (Survival armor), has literally the best attributes and no one talk about it
@@CarySmith87 Gna was hard, but i still found the alfheim berserkers harder. It took me an hour to beat Gna, whereas it took me 2 hours to beat the berserkers (give me no mercy).
Super well said. Just like any game, if you know the mechanics well enough, build guides aren't necessary. This is here for those that are struggling and want a more manageable time
I like to build some builds that i see on youtube but my game is in dutch, because i am dutch, and everything on youtube is in english so its hard too translate all these armor pieces and other things too dutch.
Ahh, yeah I can imagine translating all the armor pieces could be quite the headache. If you were to turn on captions to dutch, would that help at all? I know the names of things can vary vastly between languages, so I'm not sure how much the captions would help
Completely agree. This game NEEDS NG+, and it's a shame that they STILL didn't include it at launch, especially after fans were craving for it with GOW 2018 and took them about 4 months to implement the mode. I love everything else about the game, but the NG+ mode being absent... 😞
I would have liked that you could save several sets, imagine altering or comparing the statistics by sets, BRUTAL, when I say sets I mean personal Builds like this, sometimes you want to change your gameplay style
YES. Saving sets would be a lifesaver and would greatly reduce the headache when experimenting, switching builds. I'm hoping this may be added with the NG+ feature
Token of elemental evasion seems like a waste when you already have that shield. An other thing: when you have all these things there are not a lot of enemies left to fight.
I’m one of 2.4% of players that got 100% completion platinum trophy on the game (no I didn’t need to mention that but I wanted to flex) and I can say this build is solid but I use a realm shift build 😈 +plus to get all this armor to beat end game your already in it/ past it so does it matter id say the Lunda set is very solid especially for give me god of war players for beginning/mid game and some end game
I’m glad you are proud, but it’s an easy platinum. No difficulty trophies, no easily missable but unobtainable items, so only one play through. it’s great game design in my opinion, But I found myself wanting more. I wish they locked the trophy behind a hard mode play through. I got the platinum so easy it made me sad. No reason to try to master the combat 😢
Sorry to hear that... perhaps one of the 9 slots is where you goofed? That's usually what happens with players - they accidentally use the wrong enchantments
It’s not recommended using the relic the berserker king gives you against GNA on give me god of war… the cool down is 253 seconds. It’s better to use the hilt of Horfao which gives a realm * shift and with the berserker armor and surtr gauntlet, and the rond of purification the cool down is shorten that you can realm shift during critical attacks GNA and even the berserker king can one shot you… I platinum this game 2 days ago, but was dying a bunch of times to gna and the berserker king specifically because of the aoe moves that you can’t knock back the enemy using shield bash or simply throwing an axe at them. Give me god of war ain’t a joke and waiting for 253 seconds for the reset is not gonna be helpful when you really need to give them that stun right when you need it
To be fair, anything on normal or lower difficulty doesn't really matter that amount of stats because you're going to one shot everything anyway. I played on give me no mercy and gná was two shotting me being LV 9 with all my gear capped
When my friend told me how hard his muspleheim (however it’s spelled) trials were, I was like dude you’re playing on normal and can get hit several times. I’m not impressed lol. If you played the first and are used to the combat, you should’ve started on No Mercy. I didn’t wanna blow through the game. But now finishing pretty much everything I have no motivation to play again on GMGoW or NG+. Like why if I have everything unlocked?
You need to find the Jewels of Yggdrasil. There are seven in total, expanding the 2 you have at the beginning of the game to nine. They can be found in various places around the realms
Except you forgot to mention that you can’t fight the Berserker King until after you beat the main story. 🤷🏽♂️ That makes this build handy only for the GNÁ fight. 😎
It’s too bad we need to kill the king to get the epic relic needed to kill the king catch 22. I’m having trouble beating the king beat every thing else in the game already too
Pointless build the berserkers are one of the hardest bosses in the game and the ones that drop the armour are even harder so what’s the point in a build to defeat bosses using the armour from the hardest bosses in the game
@@bigcheeze9068 this build is literally only good if you leave GNA till last it doesn’t help if you haven’t done the hardest bosses in the game yet and even on NG+ it isn’t going to make a difference NG+ is available after the story not after you’ve 100% completed the game and killed three hardest bosses in the game to get everything in the video

If you want a build that will help you beat bosses like the berserker king than you won’t find it here this build is for NG+ and GNA if you want a build for the berserkers than try Lundas lost armour. The reason the best gear comes after the hardest bosses is because their needs to be a suitable reward for such bosses.
@@funmylife9248 actually I got it from a legendary chest in Midgard near Tyr's temple , don't remember which one tho but it's one of the one's around Lake of Nine
I've heard other players run into issues with that as well. Have you fought the other trolls as well? There are four in total. One in Midgar, one in Alfheim and two in Vanaheim

Ah, yeah the berserker king is pretty ruthless. I barely scathed by on my first playthrough. I can't remember exactly what relic I used on that fight, but it was one of the offensive ones that was like a few blade strikes with a large AOE. It had a quick cooldown to it and was able to get by using that whenever I could
So how the fuck am I supposes to get to Niflheim as Kratos so I can fight the beserker there?? Because I could only travel to the stupid raven tree gate and couldn't access the explorable section as Kratos, now I'm in Agard in what I'm pretty damn sure is the endgame, I tried to see if I could travel to Niflheim before falling asleep in the tent (which leads to traveling to Asgard for the invasion). So what the fuck??

Another strong build was mentioned by someone else. Nidvellirs plackart raven gloves beserker bottom or really any bottom of your choice.
I use grip of radiant reflection, hardened war handle and mighty Olympic.

Just some advice for anyone that was struggling like I was. I had it on “give me balance” difficulty which I’m sorry no matter what build you have you are going to struggle with a few bosses. The Berserker King, GNA and the Gravestone in the Mist Lands were all pretty tough. I tried out every single build you can think of and in the end the Steinborn armor was what I used. Also this build is good for nothing because by the time you get it the game is over, with no more enemies to punish.

agreed. I'm stuck on the berserker king. I've done everything else in the game, even gna and I just can't beat this dude. I've tried numerous builds and it all equates to youtubers needing views so they title their videos with "best build ever OMG BUY MY SHIT" titles. The end result is to use steinborn armor and learn the boss. GG

@@drewpickett2565 no build is gonna win these fights for you. Look up boss guides rather than build videos. Keep at it, learn the enemy move sets and how to react to them. It's the only way. Good luck!
Damn, looks like I've run out of those crystals to upgrade my Lion's Roar Sauroter. Hope I can get more as it's beginning to look unlikely after picking all those crystals for the Wishing Well.
Yeah, you need to do a lot of the quests in the Crater and exploring to get everything levelled up nice and complete

So, for some reason the Stone Idol of souls never appeared after beating the troll. That said, I still went to fight Gna after getting everything else. Did not even need to use a resurrection stone. This build absolutely slaps.
Sorry to hear the Stone Idol of Souls never dropped. I've heard many others say that as well. I'm glad the rest of the build paid off, though! Now we just gotta wait for that NG+
If you only want stats on the armor, go for the starter set and upgrade it to max

@@Dr_Diaz absolutely not, you just need to upgrade the starter armor to lvl 7, then you got on every piece 4 stats extra. midgame was so easy cause you got so much cd reduce, runic power, luck and vitality. with the right emblems you can heal yourself and gg.

The berserker king imo was easier to use the wrath spartan rage setting to break up attacks when you block the first hit of a yellow ring attack and get stuck being hit by the next two you can just break out of it... Then if you get knocked down and use your resurrection stone, switch up to the fury Spartan rage to recoup health and do big damage ... His element weapon shields are stupid but if you use the right weapon they go away quick .. I honestly think the berserker king was harder than gna imo... She hits a lot harder and is harder to dodge but when you get in the flow w her her HP melts off quicker... To be fair you get a runic attack beating the berserker king that is insane especially when you combine it w the bifrost storm medallion for using 3 consecutive runic attacks... The queen gives you a shield that lets you throw Valkyrie feathers at enemies . Learn to manage your rage bar so you can break up attacks if you get stunned or locked in an animation at the wrong time.

Builds matter very little when you are at a higher difficulty like no mercy or GMGoW. I'm attempting Gna at No Mercy with full runic build and am able to bring her to 50% hp before she can even touch me. Afterwards while my runic attacks are charging its all upto how well I dodge cuz normal hits tickle her.
She also chains her attacks in unpredictable ways so it starts become more and more reaction based the lower her health becomes.
Anyone not used to GOW or has not played since 2018 to try balanced difficulty!!!!!! I made theistake of playing on give me mercy 😂😂😂😂😂 Not sure what 120hz hdmi 2.1 differs from normal 60hz TV but when I do attacks I find it harder to cancel and parry/ evade attacks quicker compared to insane gow TH-camr elites. You are def right about higher difficulty, I am on give mercy and the berserker king was a pain until I got better a parrying, evading and knowing all the moves. Only gna to defeat now but seems to 2 shot me lol after a few quick tries.

Trials aren’t that tough at all. Level 5-6 should be okay
I AM crazy! But yeah, I would face the berserkers around level 5+. A bunch of them are pretty easy with limited move sets. Some will take a bit of practice, and you'll want to get to a higher level to take out some of the ones in Alfheim, especially
My beef w/ relic builds is having time to cast the relic skill. You can't take a hit on higher difficulty so i feel like the fist or nine realms build works better. Valor is good b/c you can dodge hits w/ it & get a strength bonus. If you ain't parrying w/ valor you f'n up!

You only have pretty much 2 end game bosses left to do once you get all this though. here's hoping they don't take too long with NG+.
for the end game bosses nothing worked for me. so i did my own build of the might armour set, full strength with the nine realms buffs with the level 9 stone shield to block most attacks. used the spear as main weapon with all luck items in the amulet for the spear boost. this build with how i play worked for me on the bosses.
Good on you for that! I love the spear as well and smart for boosting your spear output with the luck. I might do something like that on my next playthrough. NG+ where are you??
For a completely balanced build upgrade all the first items you get even handles. You won't get any perks but you will have the highest overall stats possible. But hold on, are you telling me luck boosts spear damage? I'm pretty sure all melee is determined by strength. Otherwise the strength stat would be completely useless outside of using the axe.
@@Stjimmyrulesx think of it like rpg games if a weapon is mainly strength or faith or dexterity or magic you put everything into what that weapon is. im no expert but i use the spear all time and when i improved my luck stats the spear was alot better. you can have max defense and be a tank where hardly anything hurts you but your attack is death by a thousand cuts. or you could have only strength but any hit would kill you. you could be runic with fast cool down times and just cheese by only using them all the time.not everything is simple has strength is everything.
@@eppy5630 I never said it was that simple, but the axe is strength, the blades are runic and the spear is luck. Luck boosts how often perks activate, runic boosts runic attacks, if the stats worked like you say strength would only boost the axe, it would be pointless otherwise. If you're doing better it's because your perks are activating more, not because the spear got stronger.

Gná was easy I didn't even use rage. I recommend using the dragon scale armor and the berserker chest piece. For the weapons realm shift for everything and for the amulet buffs to damage and during realm shift
I can't stand that glass cannon build because anything above normal you're gonna get one hit killed pretty much if ur realm shift attacks get interrupted. At least that one never worked for me.

I didn't get that enchantment when I fought the troll in your video. I got something called poison protector. So perhaps the order they drop is randomized.

I’ve almost completed everything in the game. The only things left for me are defeating the berserker king and valkyrie queen which feel impossible so this video is very helpful to people in my situation. Thanks!

Do you mean relic? Hilt of Angrvadall is a solid relic with a quick cooldown. As for the light and heavy runic attacks, all of the ones in my video can be obtained without having defeated the Berserker King or Gna

A bit late on comments, but kinda want to reinforce that to obtain everything from the build, you need to kill one of 2 top tier bosses. Which is make things even worse, since you have to defeat berserkers trio in Alfheim, to unlock Hrolf. I am surprised anyone who beat them, has problems with Hrolf or Gna. Swap the relic for anything else, and this build actually become interesting. Because now you need only berserker from Midgard, easiest one by far, and berserker from Nifleheim, which is a bit harder, but nothing compared to Trio or even Duo. Realm Shift relic is always a good option.

Lundas set is the best in end game Freya can make sure poison is applied consistently and its not hard to switch to bare handed to apply it yourself. Poison makes them deal less and take more damage. I use the runic storm and sigil of doom enchantments to get a 14sec bifrost storm and make hexes explode for massive damage. The rond of distruption spawns elemental storms that with bifrost storm can melt enemies and the glaive relic makes sure you have 2 ways to get bifrost on enemies.

@@arcanis12 no there is nothing out about it yet.its just a try and error thing. i was stuck on the gna boss seen a video where they beat her in 2 mins with poison build from a week ago.i noticed in comments a few ppl it didnt work for them and it was the same for me and it was the exact same for the berserker boss the poison build did nothing. did both with my own build of strength at 600 with max stone shield in the end.
@@eppy5630 i know it doesn't effect bosses as much or as long but it definitely works and the gauntlets and waist bonuses still do too. I beat Gna only a couple days ago and poison definitely applied to her in the fight.
I wish we could transmog the weapon grips as well, my axe pommel doesn't match at all!

You need to kill all the trolls to get the stone idol of souls. I found this out when I didn’t get it for killing Bjarg, but 3 more troll fights later I got it.

it seems like the best armor set to me if you don't really have a certain playstyle
Overall the stats don’t effect the actual gameplay too much compared to the effects on armor pieces. For example there’s builds that can take down Gna in 30 seconds. You can’t do that with default armor
@@timmyrau2806 it's not always about killing in the fastest time possible its also about enjoying a long challenging fight and being able to SURVIVE thru it. Everything doesn't need to be a speed run.

Well I play on Give me God of War Difficulty and I wouldn’t want to spend way to much time to fight a Boss just to get two or one shot near the end of the fight so thats why I run the berserker armor so that I can save time
This video leads you to believe it’s mainly for Gna but you don’t show yourself fighting her. And the double tap x to cleanse status wouldn’t be helpful with her with her bifrost right?
The best build for me is the one that you get in the beginning of the game (Survival armor), has literally the best attributes and no one talk about it

Hel's touch can be found in a Legendary chest located at The Burrows near The Forbidden Sands in Alfheim.
Yeah, that berserker fight in Alfiem is the hardest bosses battle by far! So after beating them everything else is easy

@@CarySmith87 Gna was hard, but i still found the alfheim berserkers harder. It took me an hour to beat Gna, whereas it took me 2 hours to beat the berserkers (give me no mercy).

You can use EVERY build, it doesn't matter much. Game is based on using blocks and sidesteps to avoid damage. One you got it, you can go naked.

I like to build some builds that i see on youtube but my game is in dutch, because i am dutch, and everything on youtube is in english so its hard too translate all these armor pieces and other things too dutch.
Ahh, yeah I can imagine translating all the armor pieces could be quite the headache. If you were to turn on captions to dutch, would that help at all? I know the names of things can vary vastly between languages, so I'm not sure how much the captions would help
This is why I want NG+. Maxing (almost if possible) everything is pointless if you must do everything first.
Completely agree. This game NEEDS NG+, and it's a shame that they STILL didn't include it at launch, especially after fans were craving for it with GOW 2018 and took them about 4 months to implement the mode. I love everything else about the game, but the NG+ mode being absent... 😞
I would have liked that you could save several sets, imagine altering or comparing the statistics by sets, BRUTAL, when I say sets I mean personal Builds like this, sometimes you want to change your gameplay style
YES. Saving sets would be a lifesaver and would greatly reduce the headache when experimenting, switching builds. I'm hoping this may be added with the NG+ feature

i used a full berserker build with realm shift and perks that buff dmg in realm shift with a lot of cooldown to use relic again and again
Token of elemental evasion seems like a waste when you already have that shield.
An other thing: when you have all these things there are not a lot of enemies left to fight.
I’m one of 2.4% of players that got 100% completion platinum trophy on the game (no I didn’t need to mention that but I wanted to flex) and I can say this build is solid but I use a realm shift build 😈 +plus to get all this armor to beat end game your already in it/ past it so does it matter id say the Lunda set is very solid especially for give me god of war players for beginning/mid game and some end game
I heard about the beginning set being pretty awesome when fully leveled up, but I haven't tried it myself yet

I’m glad you are proud, but it’s an easy platinum. No difficulty trophies, no easily missable but unobtainable items, so only one play through. it’s great game design in my opinion, But I found myself wanting more. I wish they locked the trophy behind a hard mode play through. I got the platinum so easy it made me sad. No reason to try to master the combat 😢

Sorry to hear that... perhaps one of the 9 slots is where you goofed? That's usually what happens with players - they accidentally use the wrong enchantments
It’s not recommended using the relic the berserker king gives you against GNA on give me god of war… the cool down is 253 seconds. It’s better to use the hilt of Horfao which gives a realm * shift and with the berserker armor and surtr gauntlet, and the rond of purification the cool down is shorten that you can realm shift during critical attacks GNA and even the berserker king can one shot you…
I platinum this game 2 days ago, but was dying a bunch of times to gna and the berserker king specifically because of the aoe moves that you can’t knock back the enemy using shield bash or simply throwing an axe at them. Give me god of war ain’t a joke and waiting for 253 seconds for the reset is not gonna be helpful when you really need to give them that stun right when you need it
Good point. A 253 second relic cooldown is just brutal, especially on the hardest difficulty
To be fair, anything on normal or lower difficulty doesn't really matter that amount of stats because you're going to one shot everything anyway. I played on give me no mercy and gná was two shotting me being LV 9 with all my gear capped
When my friend told me how hard his muspleheim (however it’s spelled) trials were, I was like dude you’re playing on normal and can get hit several times. I’m not impressed lol.
If you played the first and are used to the combat, you should’ve started on No Mercy. I didn’t wanna blow through the game. But now finishing pretty much everything I have no motivation to play again on GMGoW or NG+. Like why if I have everything unlocked?

You need to find the Jewels of Yggdrasil. There are seven in total, expanding the 2 you have at the beginning of the game to nine. They can be found in various places around the realms

At or near the end of the game you will be given stones that allow you to unlock an area in each realm.

Pointless build the berserkers are one of the hardest bosses in the game and the ones that drop the armour are even harder so what’s the point in a build to defeat bosses using the armour from the hardest bosses in the game

If you want a build that will help you beat bosses like the berserker king than you won’t find it here this build is for NG+ and GNA if you want a build for the berserkers than try Lundas lost armour. The reason the best gear comes after the hardest bosses is because their needs to be a suitable reward for such bosses.

Ah, yeah the berserker king is pretty ruthless. I barely scathed by on my first playthrough. I can't remember exactly what relic I used on that fight, but it was one of the offensive ones that was like a few blade strikes with a large AOE. It had a quick cooldown to it and was able to get by using that whenever I could

So how the fuck am I supposes to get to Niflheim as Kratos so I can fight the beserker there?? Because I could only travel to the stupid raven tree gate and couldn't access the explorable section as Kratos, now I'm in Agard in what I'm pretty damn sure is the endgame, I tried to see if I could travel to Niflheim before falling asleep in the tent (which leads to traveling to Asgard for the invasion). So what the fuck??
You need to complete the game first, then you are able to travel to a hidden gate in Niflheim
