Wow! you're really a photographer, not a just a youtube technical expert on cameras. Love the images you've produced.Keep it up :) I rarely comment on youtube camera/photography videos. But your videos and your results are worthy :)
Thank you for sharing this video! I will start shooting on film with a mamiya rz67 and i have ektar too so this was very useful for me, and specially the tips of overexposing. Your work is beautiful!! very inspiring!
I never expected to look Ektar this good! I thought skin tones would also tend to be more reddish but the shown colours were sooooo beautiful that I have to give Ektar another chance. ;)
Definitely worth it man, especially on black skin. I have never shot Ektar on Caucasian skin, so I'm not sure what the result will look like. But I think this is why most people don't shoot it because it doesn't look good. But maybe try overexposing and see
Man, I am only 50 seconds in and I can already tell I'm delighted to find your channel! Love the use of Ektar here. Definitely subbing!! YES! Love finding new channels.
Seriously been waiting for this video man since I saw the BTS on your IG story this video was definitely worth the wait and can’t try out Ektar 100 on my Mamiya 645 Pro!
Thank you for sharing! I think the results are amazing. I have only seen ektar overly saturated, these are absolutely beautiful. I stumbled upon your channel looking for a good review on the Pentax 645, I recently just picked one up and found you're Review the most realistic lol. I develop, scan, & print in house as well, looking forward to your video on your experience developing c41!
Hey man Thank you for your feedback. Means a lot coming from another film shooter. I'm learning as I'm shooting more film. I think I'm gonna stick to this pentax system
Just came across your channel today while searching TH-cam on 645n. I’m thinking of picking one up instead of the Pentax 67. Love your work! Keep the vids coming.
Heyyy thank you for your feedback. Yeah the 67 is a great camera but honestly having 16 images on a 645 vs 10 on a 67, I think you have your answer. Most people are buying the 67 because it's hype not necessarily because of the usability or the image quality.
I know this video is a bit dated but can you go into how you light your scene? I want to start doing portraits indoors but there are just so many way to light a scene
Crazy I came to your video from a Kyle 645n video review. I love your channel and subscribed! I’m planing on buying a 645 regular. What lens would you recommend for portraits? Thank you sir 🙏🏿
Hey man Thank you for taking your time to watch my work, really appreciate it. I will say go with the 75mm, or get anything you can have. But I mainly use the 75mm f2.8
Hi! I shoot Sri Lankan Street Portraiture and we have dark skin tones too. Would you recommend increasing the exposure by a stop to get the best out of the film? Or should I leave it at neutral with the ISO at 100? I love the tones you've produced. :)
100 ISO to 50 ISO is one stop, set it to 25 Iso and you have 2 stops of overexposing
Heyy thanks mate
Question, trying to learn as well. If I shoot it at 400 am I overexposing by two? I’m confused as to how it works. 😭
@@Lifewithseanthony 400 ISO film needs less light than a 100 ISO film, so a 100 ISO film at 400 ISO you are underexposing the film by 2 stops
iShoot305 higher the number the more under exposed it is, the lower the number the more overexposed it is!
Amazing portraits , you really opened my mind with this ektar 100 for portraits
Amazing shots. ISO 50 to 100 is one stop. You could set the lightmeter at 25 and that would be 2 stops. Cant wait to see more.
ahhhh yeah :) tahnks mate, taking note
@@christinandfilm7657 made me want to get some Ektar!
@@NicosPhotographyShow people are sleeping in this.
@@NicosPhotographyShow Ive been shooting ektar for a while mainly landscapes I love the results
beautiful!!!!! very beautiful!!!!

This further solidifies my theory that ektar is the best film for darker skin people, thank you for existing!🎉
Gorgeous results

Awesome shots awesome film I love ektar mainly for landscape work but love the skin tones here new sub for Ya mate ❤️📷
Thank you man :) I also use to shoot only landscape too, until I gave it a try
@@christinandfilm7657 you’ll be happy with results mate
Beautiful images. And over exposing Ektar 100 for portraits works out well. I usually don’t like how red the film makes the skin at box speed.
yeah exactly, Im gonna shoot more ektar again

If you have a 400 film you can set your camera at 200 if you are going to use the roll.
Thanks, i know :) really appreciate ur comment
I would recommend shooting at F8 to get everything in focus and crispy!
Gonna give this over exposing a try.
If you say +2 it usually means that you underexpose a film by 2 stops and then push it in developing.
