Yes because I think an infp can learn over time, not let criticism get under their skin as much and to be more expressive. An entp could learn when to criticize and when to validate infp's feelings

My best friend is an infp and I adore her. I never had so much chemistry with someone, with her, I almost feel like I can be myself. We're both intense in different ways, so we don't have to worry as much about appearances. She helped me to be a better person and her kindness and loyalty never ceases to amaze me. Like, I never really met someone like that. What I appreciate most about her is her honesty. We have disagreements, but we still complement each other well. She really is the best friend I've ever had :3

6:30 Im an ENTP and that is SOOO true. I like girls and I flirt a lot. However, I don’t fall in love easily, but once I’m in love Im IN LOVE hard. It’s only happened to me once in my life. I fell in love with my ENFP ex. I relate a lot to this story because the ENFP has the same functions as INFP. It was her Fi (she actually had really high Fi) and my Ti (i had really high Ti) that caused the breakup. But I didn’t fall out of love with her, because I couldn’t. She made me fall in love and is the only girl to have ever done that.

Dating her was a lot of fun and just as most ENFPs are...she was also ridiculously charming, smart and talented. Sometimes I felt like she was being dumb when she let her Fi take over, but she was smart. She was pretty but definitely not model-like physical appearance. She didn’t need to be gorgeous for me to fall in love with her.
God at this rate, the whole F/T thing doesn't really matter to me anymore because my last crush (It was so close to actually happening) was an INTJ (with very high T) and it didn't work because I'm "too loud"

I’ve always loved the Anne series! She’s a firecracker! I’d never want to be in a relationship with this type... too fiery, unpredictable, and high maintenance. This personality type would make a very cool friend though... the depth, feeling, and energy put into their creative environments would be a great sight to witness.
As an ENFP guy, this show was one of my secret favorites when I was just 10 years old or so. My family had it sloppily taped across like 6 VHS tapes, and it had all the TV commercials in it. My favorite movies now are usually war-themed, drama, or sci-fi/fantasy, but I will eternally have a soft spot for Carrots for the rest of my life. Whether ENFP guys would admit it or not, there are some scenes with Gilbert and Anne that are pure Fi heaven. If I meet my dream girl someday, I can only hope I can talk to her in a wheat field at sunset like Gill and Anne do at the end of the first movie. I can play the theme song by Hagood Hardy on the piano (I found the sheet music at a library). I'm amazed you picked such an awesome TV show to analyze.

As an ENTP to be honest INFP are cute as fuck and the only type i try my best to not hurt her feelings. It calms me down when i listen to this video, just the voice calms me down! The only problem i face is debating sucks, i try to solve problems that causes that feeling overwhelming for her and she doesnt want to put them away :o. She value more to talk about it not to solve it, it gets me frustrated and sad saw her suffering. It feels like i have a huge brain but unable to help, man this sucks.
I heard that ENTPs and INFPs can really work as a couple but ENTPs need to find their debating sparring partner elsewhere (probably with friends is the best) and save the need to debate with their INFP partner when it comes to deeper issues both of you authentically care about. It may get heated but the INFP will cool down afterwards (the more mature they are; the less time it will take) and then we’ll romanticize your passion and the authenticity of your position. The INFP partner isn’t made to be a Devil’s advocate punching bag… unless you find a topic the INFP is interested in on a more detached intellectual level and it feels more like a game of ruminating where it seems playful, then the INFP will be a great “brainstorming” partner where both your Ne energies will just keep one-upping each other with the more wacky possibilities you both can come up. As for wanting to help you INFP, believe me, when you utilize your Ti-Fe skills well, you will definitely help your INFP partner. But for an INFP, we have to take our time and weather the storm of emotions inside of us before we’re ready to take practical action. It’s not that we’re opposed to doing something about a problem, but let us talk through how we feel about it and get rid of our angst about it first… then we’re all ears. Then give us time to implement your advice, haha. A more mature INFP will do this much quicker and healthier. An immature INFP will take forever… if they ever do it, but you shouldn’t be with an immature partner anyway. An unhealthy INFP… no solutions ever… and stay away. I say that as an INFP. I’m sure you can give me examples of what a mature ENTP would do, an immature one, and an unhealthy one.
I'm INFP and my ex was ENTP. He had no empathy and I slowly started to turn into an INTP from being with him. His constant critique and criticism/debating kept forcing me to turn off my feelings. He would take my ideas and creativity and flaunt them around to his friends as if they were his own. He never credited me, never complimented me.... ENTPs are users. My advice is for kind hearted INFPs to stay far away from them.

Just for fun, maybe try doing this between characters from Batman like the joker, the riddler and the penguin and another one for The Matrix Trilogy. What personality types would Neo, Morpheus and Trinity be etc?

Wsp its ENTP here and yeah yeah I love you guys, thing is im one of those ENTP's with a high Fe but not necessarily *developed* so its high but I have no idea how to handle it which leads me to being well, even more energetic I guess? Im good with people but im not mature, im internally empathetic but im externally insensitive. I adapt easily but then I allow myself to let myself get overly energetic which leads to annoyance from otheres

Secondly *FE aux/parent* he’s so CARING OF OTHERS. Even in the town meeting about miss Stacy, his speech shows that NI/ Ti….compare to Anne who showed her heavy FI trying to express her *fi to the audience in her speech wich touched people deeply. Lastly Se inferior it’s not shown in the show for obvious reason they don’t show his weakness so much… but you can see his Se in some parts with his sudden insecurity of wanting to be a doctor after Mary dies. As an infp i never got along very well with Fe users ..i always loved and appreciated entps And intps. i don't like for relationships to be very emotional , For me thats create conflict more than the logical types ! Funny enough how as infps we hear that our ideal match would be an Fe user or feeling type ..naah not for me ! Thats not good advise ..no offence to any feeling or Fe type ..although i would say having Fe /feeling friends is great to have ❤️

Its phenomenal, hands down the most immersive, moving read and view for me since Never Let me Go. The sort of novel I dream of being able to write. Perhaps should come with a relationship health warning though regarding the class A intimacy portrayed between the main characters! Most people don't seem to get it though I think because it's by an INFJ about INFx's!

First of all the actions of these characters haven't aged very well, considering some of the stuff Gilbert does would be harassment and abuse. Second, speaking as a male INFP, I wonder how this mbti paring changes when the roles are reversed. I get that an INFP is an INFP and and ENTP is an ENTP regardless of gender. But it changes the context quite a bit.
The best thing to do would be to help him find a therapist that focuses on PTSD and trauma and encourage him to regularly go to start healing. I have c-PTSD too and it’s rough. Some people are skeptical of therapy, if he’s one of those, let him know that he can be honest about that to the therapist. He will only get something out of it if he tries, though. As for what you yourself can do, have patience and compassion towards him. Sometimes things might trigger him or he might struggle with symptoms. Learning about CPTSD online might be helpful. I wish him well!
This is very interesting! I wonder if you can find an INFP/ISTP couple (the REAL opposite) in movies/books. It was me and my ex husband. I divorced him for his infidelities, but honestly he's still my soulmate. I don't think I would ever find another person who understands me more than him, and I know I will always love him even though we might never be reunited ever again. Unless he wins my trust once again somehow. I used to think that we will be together forever, just the two of us. I would like to see if any of this couple survived for life out there...
Forever rarely lasts in all kinds of couples, even if we think or hope they will...They do say soulmates etc come into our lives often only for a season. I will try to find an INFP/ISTP fictional couple but it might be difficult!

It was Daryl Dixon (who I believe an ISTP because he does act and think like my ex) and Beth Greene (INFP). By the way, I know nothing lasts forever, but me and my ex is still very good friends after over 12 years together and 5 years divorced. I'm not looking for someone new, but I also won't say no if new love comes along. Maybe when that happens I will finally forget the first man I've ever loved and "did everything" with.

ISTP are our complete opposite when it came to functions...but if we can communicate with 100% honesty and fully opened-hearts to each other (maybe because we loved one another), somehow we found a balanced middle ground that actually ideal, peaceful, and fun. It was a weird experience that only happened once in a lifetime for me (maybe for him too)... The deep and honest communication/connection part is the most important aspect though, because I have other ISTP cousin and acquaintance, but I could never get close to them, just some niceties on the surface level. I feel like they don't really like me, so I avoided them most of the time...

It’s less common a pairing, so not popular enough to be talked a lot about. It is true any match can work when it comes down to individual factors of the people involved.
Anne with an E is an ENFP (she can't shut-up) and Gilbert is more of either an ESFJ or ISFJ because he is following straight lines and Fe norms and he's surprised by Anne's Ne antics which he might find endearing but if he was an ENTP would instantly try to outdo. Also an ENTP would be a lot more subversive about academic structures and would openly rebel against the normal run of things growing up. As it is Gilbert shows a typical SJ demeanor by following the standard quo and trying to correct Anne when she slips up, where an ENTP might put his mind to intellectual stimulation such as science but he wouldn't have any problem outdoing an NF at any kind of wackiness that presents itself because of dominant Ne's endless burst of crazy ideas and exploration. But ok anyone can project just about any type onto a romantic ideal of fictional characters but it doesn't add up when I try to match those types to those characters.
I definitely heard that Anne with an E changed the characterizations of Anne and Gilbert just so slightly that they’ve become different MBTI types from the 1980s tv movies where Anne was very much an INFP and Gilbert an ENTP. Anne still talked a lot… and I mean a lot, you notice that she does it when she’s uncomfortable and around people as a way to navigate her social situations but at home, she’s much more introverted and in her head.

My best friend is an infp and I adore her. I never had so much chemistry with someone, with her, I almost feel like I can be myself. We're both intense in different ways, so we don't have to worry as much about appearances. She helped me to be a better person and her kindness and loyalty never ceases to amaze me. 6:30 Im an ENTP and that is SOOO true. I like girls and I flirt a lot. However, I don’t fall in love easily, but once I’m in love Im IN LOVE hard. It’s only happened to me once in my life. I fell in love with my ENFP ex. I relate a lot to this story because the ENFP has the same functions as INFP. It was her Fi (she actually had really high Fi) and my Ti (i had really high Ti) that caused the breakup. But I didn’t fall out of love with her, because I couldn’t. She made me fall in love and is the only girl to have ever done that.

I’ve always loved the Anne series! She’s a firecracker! I’d never want to be in a relationship with this type... too fiery, unpredictable, and high maintenance. This personality type would make a very cool friend though... the depth, feeling, and energy put into their creative environments would be a great sight to witness.
As an ENFP guy, this show was one of my secret favorites when I was just 10 years old or so. My family had it sloppily taped across like 6 VHS tapes, and it had all the TV commercials in it. My favorite movies now are usually war-themed, drama, or sci-fi/fantasy, but I will eternally have a soft spot for Carrots for the rest of my life. Whether ENFP guys would admit it or not, there are some scenes with Gilbert and Anne that are pure Fi heaven. If I meet my dream girl someday, I can only hope I can talk to her in a wheat field at sunset like Gill and Anne do at the end of the first movie. I can play the theme song by Hagood Hardy on the piano (I found the sheet music at a library). I'm amazed you picked such an awesome TV show to analyze.

As an ENTP to be honest INFP are cute as fuck and the only type i try my best to not hurt her feelings. It calms me down when i listen to this video, just the voice calms me down! The only problem i face is debating sucks, i try to solve problems that causes that feeling overwhelming for her and she doesnt want to put them away :o. She value more to talk about it not to solve it, it gets me frustrated and sad saw her suffering. It feels like i have a huge brain but unable to help, man this sucks.
I heard that ENTPs and INFPs can really work as a couple but ENTPs need to find their debating sparring partner elsewhere (probably with friends is the best) and save the need to debate with their INFP partner when it comes to deeper issues both of you authentically care about. It may get heated but the INFP will cool down afterwards (the more mature they are; the less time it will take) and then we’ll romanticize your passion and the authenticity of your position. The INFP partner isn’t made to be a Devil’s advocate punching bag… unless you find a topic the INFP is interested in on a more detached intellectual level and it feels more like a game of ruminating where it seems playful, then the INFP will be a great “brainstorming” partner where both your Ne energies will just keep one-upping each other with the more wacky possibilities you both can come up.
As for wanting to help you INFP, believe me, when you utilize your Ti-Fe skills well, you will definitely help your INFP partner. But for an INFP, we have to take our time and weather the storm of emotions inside of us before we’re ready to take practical action. It’s not that we’re opposed to doing something about a problem, but let us talk through how we feel about it and get rid of our angst about it first… then we’re all ears. Then give us time to implement your advice, haha. A more mature INFP will do this much quicker and healthier. An immature INFP will take forever… if they ever do it, but you shouldn’t be with an immature partner anyway. An unhealthy INFP… no solutions ever… and stay away. I say that as an INFP.
I’m sure you can give me examples of what a mature ENTP would do, an immature one, and an unhealthy one.
I'm INFP and my ex was ENTP. He had no empathy and I slowly started to turn into an INTP from being with him. His constant critique and criticism/debating kept forcing me to turn off my feelings. He would take my ideas and creativity and flaunt them around to his friends as if they were his own. He never credited me, never complimented me.... ENTPs are users. My advice is for kind hearted INFPs to stay far away from them.

Gilbert has *Ni hero* wich we see that he allows himself to explore other options by traveling for a while but Gilbert always eventually ends up knowing what he wants for himself and find his way( ex: decided to be a doctor. excepting & keeping his promises to Sebastian didn’t care if he was colored… coming back to Avonlea and deciding to to stay regardless of the challenges..again because he knew what he wanted.. when he told anne he loved her and proceeded to brake up with winfreld because he knew that’s now what he wanted.. even in the Beginning of the show he never wanting Ruby. there’s more examples but I’ll leave those there…. Secondly *FE aux/parent* he’s so CARING OF OTHERS. I don’t even have to say examples we can see his caring Fe the whole show that empathy. him AND DIANE are high FE users the difference is That her FE is her main hero function.
*TI child* is you can see when learning (He is more a type a learner that’s why the first teacher kept saying he was his best student and Anne is more of a curious learner and she likes acquiring knowledge because she defines herself with it it’s part of her identify *FI and likes to be authentic with her knowledge but it not Gilbert ) That’s why he fits exteriorly with society he is respected by people because he is seen like a very mature well rounded young boy but inside he’s as different and intuitive as Anne) but deep down he’s understood by only the few people he lets in.. he’s a mysterious that’s why by Ruby and others can’t tell what he thinks… an other way to see that TI is when him and Anne argue in school and he hits her with logic TI that’s she’s not entirely wrong but not right either it’s the way she approaches things impulsively so he uses a mix of his logic Ti with his Ni intuitiveness ….to explain things To her. Even in the town meeting about miss Stacy, his speech shows that NI/ Ti….compare to Anne who showed her heavy FI trying to express her *fi to the audience in her speech wich touched people deeply. As an infp i never got along very well with Fe users ..i always loved and appreciated entps And intps.
i don't like for relationships to be very emotional , For me thats create conflict more than the logical types ! Funny enough how as infps we hear that our ideal match would be an Fe user or feeling type ..naah not for me ! Its phenomenal, hands down the most immersive, moving read and view for me since Never Let me Go. The sort of novel I dream of being able to write. Perhaps should come with a relationship health warning though regarding the class A intimacy portrayed between the main characters! Most people don't seem to get it though I think because it's by an INFJ about INFx's!

First of all the actions of these characters haven't aged very well, considering some of the stuff Gilbert does would be harassment and abuse.
Second, speaking as a male INFP, I wonder how this mbti paring changes when the roles are reversed. I get that an INFP is an INFP and and ENTP is an ENTP regardless of gender. But it changes the context quite a bit.
How do you help an ENTP guy with CPTSD from childhood trauma?
Also, can a couple "switch" certain traits with each other? Like a swap?
The best thing to do would be to help him find a therapist that focuses on PTSD and trauma and encourage him to regularly go to start healing. I have c-PTSD too and it’s rough. Some people are skeptical of therapy, if he’s one of those, let him know that he can be honest about that to the therapist. He will only get something out of it if he tries, though.
As for what you yourself can do, have patience and compassion towards him. Sometimes things might trigger him or he might struggle with symptoms. Learning about CPTSD online might be helpful.

This is very interesting! I wonder if you can find an INFP/ISTP couple (the REAL opposite) in movies/books. It was me and my ex husband. I divorced him for his infidelities, but honestly he's still my soulmate. I don't think I would ever find another person who understands me more than him, and I know I will always love him even though we might never be reunited ever again. Unless he wins my trust once again somehow. I used to think that we will be together forever, just the two of us. I would like to see if any of this couple survived for life out there...
Forever rarely lasts in all kinds of couples, even if we think or hope they will...They do say soulmates etc come into our lives often only for a season. I will try to find an INFP/ISTP fictional couple but it might be difficult!

Hi, I just want to let you know I kinda found one! (ISTP x INFP example). Not exactly a couple, but some people made fictions of how their relationship would be if they were together! It was Daryl Dixon (who I believe an ISTP because he does act and think like my ex) and Beth Greene (INFP).
By the way, I know nothing lasts forever, but me and my ex is still very good friends after over 12 years together and 5 years divorced. I'm not looking for someone new, but I also won't say no if new love comes along. Maybe when that happens I will finally forget the first man I've ever loved and "did everything" with.

Right? ISTP are our complete opposite when it came to functions...but if we can communicate with 100% honesty and fully opened-hearts to each other (maybe because we loved one another), somehow we found a balanced middle ground that actually ideal, peaceful, and fun. It was a weird experience that only happened once in a lifetime for me (maybe for him too)... The deep and honest communication/connection part is the most important aspect though, because I have other ISTP cousin and acquaintance, but I could never get close to them, just some niceties on the surface level. I feel like they don't really like me, so I avoided them most of the time...

Gilbert has *Ni hero* wich we see that he allows himself to explore other options by traveling for a while but Gilbert always eventually ends up knowing what he wants for himself and find his way( ex: decided to be a doctor. excepting & keeping his promises to Sebastian didn’t care if he was colored… coming back to Avonlea and deciding to to stay regardless of the challenges..again because he knew what he wanted.. when he told anne he loved her and proceeded to brake up with winfreld because he knew that’s now what he wanted.. even in the Beginning of the show he never wanting Ruby. there’s more examples but I’ll leave those there…. Secondly *FE aux/parent* he’s so CARING OF OTHERS. I don’t even have to say examples we can see his caring Fe the whole show that empathy. him AND DIANE are high FE users the difference is That her FE is her main hero function.
*TI child* is you can see when learning (He is more a type a learner that’s why the first teacher kept saying he was his best student and Anne is more of a curious learner and she likes acquiring knowledge because she defines herself with it it’s part of her identify *FI and likes to be authentic with her knowledge but it not Gilbert ) That’s why he fits exteriorly with society he is respected by people because he is seen like a very mature well rounded young boy but inside he’s as different and intuitive as Anne) but deep down he’s understood by only the few people he lets in.. he’s a mysterious that’s why by Ruby and others can’t tell what he thinks… an other way to see that TI is when him and Anne argue in school and he hits her with logic TI that’s she’s not entirely wrong but not right either it’s the way she approaches things impulsively so he uses a mix of his logic Ti with his Ni intuitiveness ….to explain things To her. Even in the town meeting about miss Stacy, his speech shows that NI/ Ti….compare to Anne who showed her heavy FI trying to express her *fi to the audience in her speech wich touched people deeply. Lastly Se inferior it’s not shown in the show for obvious reason they don’t show his weakness so much… but you can see his Se in some parts with his sudden insecurity of wanting to be a doctor after Mary dies. And when he’s worried about his appearance when meeting winiferds parents..
His cognitive functions the way is written it’s he’s an INFJ but in the begging I had my doubts of him being an m ENFJ because of his strong FE I Wanted him to be an enfj so bad but Diane is a ENFJ she’s not an esfj

I’ve never seen entp on infp soulmate matches on Google. I saw enfj and etc but never entp. But there’s no wrong matching with other people.
It’s less common a pairing, so not popular enough to be talked a lot about. It is true any match can work when it comes down to individual factors of the people involved.

Anne with an E is an ENFP (she can't shut-up) and Gilbert is more of either an ESFJ or ISFJ because he is following straight lines and Fe norms and he's surprised by Anne's Ne antics which he might find endearing but if he was an ENTP would instantly try to outdo. Also an ENTP would be a lot more subversive about academic structures and would openly rebel against the normal run of things growing up. As it is Gilbert shows a typical SJ demeanor by following the standard quo and trying to correct Anne when she slips up, where an ENTP might put his mind to intellectual stimulation such as science but he wouldn't have any problem outdoing an NF at any kind of wackiness that presents itself because of dominant Ne's endless burst of crazy ideas and exploration. But ok anyone can project just about any type onto a romantic ideal of fictional characters but it doesn't add up when I try to match those types to those characters.
I definitely heard that Anne with an E changed the characterizations of Anne and Gilbert just so slightly that they’ve become different MBTI types from the 1980s tv movies where Anne was very much an INFP and Gilbert an ENTP. Anne still talked a lot… and I mean a lot, you notice that she does it when she’s uncomfortable and around people as a way to navigate her social situations but at home, she’s much more introverted and in her head.
