It's not really fair to compare chars in HxH because unlike DBZ, Naruto, etc seemingly weaker chars can kill stronger ones under strategic conditions and Kurapika can effectively neutralize all their nen and kill them in theory. So comparing is pointless.

He's also intimately familiar with Chain Judgement as well. Chrollo has a clear intel advantage compared to Kurapika who knows absolutely nothing about Skill Hunter. And intel is paramount in Nen battles. Besides, as Kurapika put it himself, trapping the spiders with Chain Jail is not that simple. For Uvo, he had to trick him into believing he was a manipulator and make his chain invisible with In. For Chrollo, he had to make an elaborate scheme just to distract him for a fraction of a second during a blackout and with a surprise attack. Trapping a spider who's fully aware of Chain Jail's capabilities in 1v1 conditions is practically impossible.

If it's a 1 on 1 Kurapika can destroy them all, Uvo was the strongest physically but he couldn't break out of Kurapika's chain, Chrollo was helpless when he got caught and he is the leader. Chain Jail also forces the person chained with it to be in a Zetsu State so there is no ability that can help the person caught in it. The only way to is for someone else to help you, so the only way for the Troupe to beat Kurapika is if they all gang up on him in that case they could beat him, but I think it is impossible to beat him if it's a one on one.
I mean once Kurapika lands the Chain Jail he instantly wins agaisnt everyone. Feitan's ability has specific actviatuob requirements and he doesn't just toss it out so you'd be correct to assume Kurapika would land the chaib before the condition have been net
Kurapika is the spider's bane. This is all low to mid diff. All he needs is to capture one with his chains then poof! His opponent can't use their nen.
You think they would allow themselves to be caught by the chains now that they know about his abilities. Uvogin got caught because he was overconfident and assumed Kurapika was a manipulator and not a conjurer, as Kurapika had intended. But now they know about his chain jail, the only way he can capture his is when if he can create 0.5s distraction as they did with Chrollo in Beaticle hotel. With Nobunaga it is even more difficult if he has his en on, he doesn't need to worry about the chains since he is fast enough to avoid it. Kurapika would have to create a real distraction and that's assuming his blade can't it.
@@DisProfundis Theres a reason why they chose not to engage kurapika. Its because his nen ability is perfectly made to counter the troop, along with him being extremely driven to end them. Aura is influenced by the drive of the user, so this boosts Kurapika a bunch against them. Kurapika really does beat the troop, at least in 1v1 bouts.

The two biggest reason why he won against Uvo was-: 1) His bluff of being a manipulator which made Uvo fight him recklessly. 2) Fighting a single troupe member. As I've already stated most troupe members with their speed can avoid the chains and ofc they wouldn't knowingly go against him alone. They didn't pursue Kurapika because of the nen after death possibility, the prophecy and Gon-Killua words with Paku to an extent. Otherwise knowing they are from Meteor City they would put their bodies on the line for revenge. But they can't afford losing 6 legs to do that Or lose the Boss and Paku's sacrifice by killing Pika.

The whole point of the Kurapika vs Uvogin fight was for him to test his abilities on a spider, and see if the strongest spider would be enough to break his chains when he’s going all out. If he wanted to, Kurapika could have ended the fight agaisnt Uvogin within a matter of minutes or even seconds. Also the other troupe members don’t necessarily have a plan to go agaisnt Kurapika. And it’s made evident in the manga at this point that the troupe has no intention of fighting him. Like others have said though, the only way the troupe stands a chance agaisnt Kurapika is they all attack him at once. That’s unlikely to happen though at this point because the troupe are preoccupied with numerous different things.
He specifically designed his chains with the idea that he may have to fight multiple spiders…. It’s the reason In the yorknew arc chrollo made them move in teams. Because solo none of them stood a chance.

The most relevant thing in all the fights is that if Kurapika fights against someone who is actually part of the spiders, the result would always be his victory if he managed to chain them up, no member would be able to get out of the chains, not even the Leader could.
He chain jails and then judgment chains and then its over lmao bros kit is specifically made to beat any spider in a 1v1 he mid-high diffed the fourth ( arguably third ) strongest member of the phantom troupe without even using steal chain or stealth dolphin edit: for the people saying that kurapika won't be able to catch the other members with chain jail.. he can use In to do it. most of these members don't use Gyo in combat or in-character, so they likely won't use it until they've already been caught. then he judgment chains and its wraps.
I did a mistake on pakunoda one😂. (!spoilers!) But shalnark is pretty underrated as his ability is even useful against hisoka and he can buff himself and get out of control if necessary. He even entertained hisoka while he couldn't use nen which is not something any other people without nen had achieved

He was against his counter type (because he can't manipulate something already manipulate) and he totally erased him however (you just have to watch the scene to see that he was perfectly calm). Sharnalk could beat Zazan too i think. And don't forget that he just have to plant his dart to manipulate someone: the strongers character can be manipulate by Sharnalk if he attack them in surprise and he is very very smart to do this. His best chance against any of the three is Illumi due to his Pledge. However, Chrollo, Hisoka, and Illumi are in a completely different league from Feitan.
Feitan's abillities are still Far stronger than hisoka And His Speed far exceeds hisoka as well So for Now Hisoka has no good feats that can counter feitan but ofcourse everyone knows inside that hisoka is stronger but U saying he's on a comeplete different league is Wrong and hisoka has bad feats since he's the only one who got badly obliterated by someone😂 Uvo is not strong as well Even nobunaga could defeat him since he knows his weakness

Also Illumi is nowhere near the top. Feitan, Nobunaga Machi and Phinks are above him, also Hisoka is basically a plot armor in itself, that's the only reason why he could be considered at their level, even if he's way weaker that Chrollo.

The rest of the troupe aren't special to him (Hence why he didn't consider Nobunaga a threat) Chrollo considered Hisoka a threat, and even showed signs of fear for him, which is why he spent his time running from him (even before he got chain jailed) and after regaining his nen, spent his time running so he could heavily prepare for his match against Hisoka.

Hisoka made himself a target to the Troupe so he could fight them (Likely multiple at once) to show that he's better than him, and to make his next fight with Chrollo on even grounds. Hisoka's injuries before his fight with Chrollo are by intention so he could show his opponent that he's on a different level. Nobunaga considered Uvo more powerful than him, and felt personally insulted that someone else other than Chrollo was capable of killing him. Chrollo considered Hisoka a threat, constantly running from him and only decided to stop because he devised a plan to kill him, and even then had help from the Troupe. Most of HxH power scaling is implications, dialogue, and subtle scenes. Pitou for example is ranked so high because they tanked a hit from Netero and Mereum, and from their En, rather than by raw feats, but got decimated by Gon.
@@Pelayum not considering someone as a Menace isn't a good example, Chrollo destroyed Hisoka with nearly only Korutopi and Sharlnalk powers and he nearly died of this, Uvo wasn't thinking of Kurapika as a menace and he died because of that. Also how can you tell Illumi is above the troupe since he didn't do anything to show his level, it's true that we don't know his full power but same can be said about all of the brigade, no one in the brigade ever fought at full power, even against chimera ants and they destroyed them quite easily. For example Feitan only got hurt by Zazan because the whole point of his Nen is to get hurt to be more powerful. Also Chrollo considering Hisoka as a menace is just logical, he know better than nearly anybody Hisoka's level and how much a psycho he is, not considering him as a menace would be a great mistake.

Chain Jail completely changes this conversation just as Kurapika pointed out with this fight with Uvo. Uvo has the strongest base physical strength out of all the Troupe members. If he could be contained and beaten to death then so could the rest of the Troupe. Getting them in chain jail wouldn't be much of a challenge either with all the ways Kurapika could prolong a fight. He beats all members of of Troupe, without chain jail would be a different story though also if Chrollo has any prep time for him.

Uvogin is relatively slow and doesn't have any supper efficient AoE like attacks. As soon as Uvo gets caught it's over. Not to mention Uvo broke Kurapika's arm in the fight. Now if it's Feitan vs Kurapika Feitan might have a bit of a difficult time but in the end the mix of his speed and lethal attacks would get the better of current manga Kurapika. Feitans abilities haven't even been fully brought out yet since it is confirmed that he has more than one version of pain packer. There is a possibility that there are others that aren't powered by damage to the user. If Kurapika manages to damage Feitan without catching him (which is likely since Kurapika doesn't know his abilities but Feitan knows Kurapika's) then Kurapika has pretty much no defense against Rising sun.

Kurapika s ability isn’t even for fighting the spiders it’s for execution. Obviously he has the dousing chain for combat but think of it chain jail restricts and then he used steal chain to take their nen then judgement chain for finishing the job
Feitan vs Kurapika. With a bit of research, i've come to this conclusion. If Kurapika catches Feitan in chain jail, his signature move, Feitan is sort of cooked. However, to use chain jail effectively, you have to know the opponents face and name. Kurapika could also use Emperor Time which is quite good as Kurapika's nen output increases, however Kurapika's life span decreases everytime he uses it. Also put into consideration Kurapika is a strong thinker with a good strategic mind. Feitan is extremely quick (as displayed in the anime lol, he has lightening speed) and his agility is top tier. Although, Kurapika has much more information on Feitan. Feitan could also use Pain Packer, which is sorta like a nen explosion (BOOM!) when he's injured. This ability requires specific conditions (like rage and injury) though. Feitan's speed is very impressive, but Kurapika easily wins with his range of chain abilities, and also has an ability to kill every single member. Emperor Time boosts his power in general, and like Uvogin said, Kurapika could put any of the members in his chains if he got the physically strongest member in them. If Feitan activates Pain Packer, though, things would be really intresting. So, overall, I personally think Kurapika will win this fight, but Feitan surely has lots of speed.

kurapika never fights anyone else in the phantom troupe in the manga. I wont spoil but he goes after a different target that hasnt been revealed in the anime. However, there is a fight between chrollo and hisoka in the manga. You should read the manga because the anime will never get more episodes, and the manga will also never get any more chapters even though it didnt end so you might as well read it

Bro, people tend to forget that once his eyes are red, he can use all types to 100. Moreover, he can access his full power when fighting against spiders. It doesnt matter if they knew the jain chain, at this point, he can utilize all types of nen to have almost infinite strat
you're correct, kurapika can learn all nen hatsu's that exist BUT that requires the training to achieve it. it dont just magically become possible thats not how it works. So while possible that its simply not gonna happen kurapika isnt known to be a master in Nen for it to be possible for him

For Uvogin since he’s an Enhancer Kurapika is his worse nightmare because Enhancers don’t do well against Manipulators and Conjurers. But it was made clear that in the long run Kurapika would’ve lost the fight. Right after killing Uvogin his body was completely exhausted. It’s safe to assume that he wasn’t gonna last too long if he didn’t catch him in his chains.
Kurapika will body any troupe member in a pure nen battle, that's why Chrollo chose psychological warfare against him. Once that's not on the table they're pretty much cooked
Chrollo in general is much stronger than Kurapika, but Kurapika was made to deny any member of the Troupe, as in a scene from the anime itself Chrollo is captured without being able to do anything by the Chains, even though he would be stronger if it was just a fight. involving the 2 in this situation he would have lost, I applied this logic to Chrollo but it applies to any HxH character

The issue with fighting Chrollo, however, is that he knows about Kurapika's Chain Jail. He's also intimately familiar with Chain Judgement as well.
Chrollo has a clear intel advantage compared to Kurapika who knows absolutely nothing about Skill Hunter. And intel is paramount in Nen battles.
Besides, as Kurapika put it himself, trapping the spiders with Chain Jail is not that simple. For Uvo, he had to trick him into believing he was a manipulator and make his chain invisible with In. For Chrollo, he had to make an elaborate scheme just to distract him for a fraction of a second during a blackout and with a surprise attack. Trapping a spider who's fully aware of Chain Jail's capabilities in 1v1 conditions is practically impossible.

If it's a 1 on 1 Kurapika can destroy them all, Uvo was the strongest physically but he couldn't break out of Kurapika's chain, Chrollo was helpless when he got caught and he is the leader. Chain Jail also forces the person chained with it to be in a Zetsu State so there is no ability that can help the person caught in it. The only way to is for someone else to help you, so the only way for the Troupe to beat Kurapika is if they all gang up on him in that case they could beat him, but I think it is impossible to beat him if it's a one on one.

Feitan's ability has specific actviatuob requirements and he doesn't just toss it out so you'd be correct to assume Kurapika would land the chaib before the condition have been net

You think they would allow themselves to be caught by the chains now that they know about his abilities. Uvogin got caught because he was overconfident and assumed Kurapika was a manipulator and not a conjurer, as Kurapika had intended. But now they know about his chain jail, the only way he can capture his is when if he can create 0.5s distraction as they did with Chrollo in Beaticle hotel. With Nobunaga it is even more difficult if he has his en on, he doesn't need to worry about the chains since he is fast enough to avoid it. Kurapika would have to create a real distraction and that's assuming his blade can't it.

Aura is influenced by the drive of the user, so this boosts Kurapika a bunch against them. Kurapika really does beat the troop, at least in 1v1 bouts.

The two biggest reason why he won against Uvo was-: 1) His bluff of being a manipulator which made Uvo fight him recklessly. 2) Fighting a single troupe member. As I've already stated most troupe members with their speed can avoid the chains and ofc they wouldn't knowingly go against him alone. They didn't pursue Kurapika because of the nen after death possibility, the prophecy and Gon-Killua words with Paku to an extent. Otherwise knowing they are from Meteor City they would put their bodies on the line for revenge. But they can't afford losing 6 legs to do that Or lose the Boss and Paku's sacrifice by killing Pika.

If he wanted to, Kurapika could have ended the fight agaisnt Uvogin within a matter of minutes or even seconds. Also the other troupe members don’t necessarily have a plan to go agaisnt Kurapika. And it’s made evident in the manga at this point that the troupe has no intention of fighting him. Like others have said though, the only way the troupe stands a chance agaisnt Kurapika is they all attack him at once. That’s unlikely to happen though at this point because the troupe are preoccupied with numerous different things.

Hisoka's injuries before his fight with Chrollo are by intention so he could show his opponent that he's on a different level. Nobunaga considered Uvo more powerful than him, and felt personally insulted that someone else other than Chrollo was capable of killing him.
Chrollo considered Hisoka a threat, constantly running from him and only decided to stop because he devised a plan to kill him, and even then had help from the Troupe.
Most of HxH power scaling is implications, dialogue, and subtle scenes. Pitou for example is ranked so high because they tanked a hit from Netero and Mereum, and from their En, rather than by raw feats, but got decimated by Gon.

Also how can you tell Illumi is above the troupe since he didn't do anything to show his level, it's true that we don't know his full power but same can be said about all of the brigade, no one in the brigade ever fought at full power, even against chimera ants and they destroyed them quite easily. For example Feitan only got hurt by Zazan because the whole point of his Nen is to get hurt to be more powerful. Uvogin is relatively slow and doesn't have any supper efficient AoE like attacks. As soon as Uvo gets caught it's over. Not to mention Uvo broke Kurapika's arm in the fight. Now if it's Feitan vs Kurapika Feitan might have a bit of a difficult time but in the end the mix of his speed and lethal attacks would get the better of current manga Kurapika. Feitans abilities haven't even been fully brought out yet since it is confirmed that he has more than one version of pain packer. There is a possibility that there are others that aren't powered by damage to the user. If Kurapika manages to damage Feitan without catching him (which is likely since Kurapika doesn't know his abilities but Feitan knows Kurapika's) then Kurapika has pretty much no defense against Rising sun.

Feitan vs Kurapika. With a bit of research, i've come to this conclusion.
If Kurapika catches Feitan in chain jail, his signature move, Feitan is sort of cooked. However, to use chain jail effectively, you have to know the opponents face and name. Kurapika could also use Emperor Time which is quite good as Kurapika's nen output increases, however Kurapika's life span decreases everytime he uses it. Also put into consideration Kurapika is a strong thinker with a good strategic mind.
Feitan is extremely quick (as displayed in the anime lol, he has lightening speed) and his agility is top tier. Although, Kurapika has much more information on Feitan. Feitan could also use Pain Packer, which is sorta like a nen explosion (BOOM!) when he's injured.
This ability requires specific conditions (like rage and injury) though.
Feitan's speed is very impressive, but Kurapika easily wins with his range of chain abilities, and also has an ability to kill every single member. Emperor Time boosts his power in general, and like Uvogin said, Kurapika could put any of the members in his chains if he got the physically strongest member in them. If Feitan activates Pain Packer, though, things would be really intresting.
So, overall, I personally think Kurapika will win this fight, but Feitan surely has lots of speed.

you're correct, kurapika can learn all nen hatsu's that exist BUT that requires the training to achieve it. it dont just magically become possible thats not how it works. So while possible that its simply not gonna happen kurapika isnt known to be a master in Nen for it to be possible for him

Problem is that all of them know about his abilities and conditions so he's now at a massive disadvantage that he might not even be aware of.
For Uvogin since he’s an Enhancer Kurapika is his worse nightmare because Enhancers don’t do well against Manipulators and Conjurers. But it was made clear that in the long run Kurapika would’ve lost the fight. Right after killing Uvogin his body was completely exhausted. It’s safe to assume that he wasn’t gonna last too long if he didn’t catch him in his chains.

Chrollo in general is much stronger than Kurapika, but Kurapika was made to deny any member of the Troupe, as in a scene from the anime itself Chrollo is captured without being able to do anything by the Chains, even though he would be stronger if it was just a fight. involving the 2 in this situation he would have lost, I applied this logic to Chrollo but it applies to any HxH character
