Madara was so hyped up and we finally see him become the big bad boss and it was set up to be the ultimate battle especially after seeing the major power up of naruto and sasuke. But disappointingly, he gets fucked cause plot and then turns into thousand year old space woman who was so boring to watch and literally 0 relevant backstory except she birthed 2 space aliens and planted a tree. kakashi double mangekyo was tuff tho cant lie.
The reason the animation was so psychedelic is that its meant to represent the crazy state naruto was in that moment. Reality was being warped around these two.
A lot of peoples do not get it that the animation style was choosed to paint the fervor, speed and intensity of this battle. It seems goofy, but its not. That was an attempt to visualise the absurd power and destruction of this fight.
It’s not that people don’t get it, it’s just that it doesn’t fit. In the manga this fight didn’t all those janky distorted effect, so this wasn’t the context that the author meant to convey. The animators took the freedom to modify aspects of the fight that weren’t meant to happen

The reason Pain looks a bit goofy in this fight is because Nagito is putting EVERYTHING he has into fighting Naruto/Kurama at this point. His body is able to do things that seem to defy physics; getting stuck in the ground having his eyes blur around before focusing, skin being stretched back on his face because of how fast hes moving, and everything else because Nagito is able to surpass human limits controlling Pain because Pain is a dead body.

This sloppy, jiggly art style was an insult to this epic fight and not what we deserved. Postponing the episode for a month would've been better than this. Fight sequence is dope, art style is shit.
I prefer this kind of animation: fluid, dynamic, and interesting colors, IT FELT LIKE ANIMATION! Not the static png powerpoint animation that we usually have

Yes, you surely won't get the ufotable tier animation on 2000s anime production while also working at the same title of "700 total episodes" that release every week for years lmao. And of course its not the best but this episode is VERY IMPRESSIVE at the time, no one would ever complain unlike ppl nowadays.

No es que sea "mala animación" es un estilo de animación adelantado a su época. Sacrificar detalles por fluidez que permita al observador sentir el frenetismo y velocidad del combate. De hecho. Ese estilo de animación está comenzando a ser utilizado más y más últimamente. Ejemplos: -Wistoria -Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Arc -One Piece (en el último tramo de y después de _wano_ ) Y seguro saldrán muchos más con el tiempo. De hecho, un anime que me hubiera encantado ver con ese estilo es Dragon Ball Super. Uff esas peleas estarían de cien.
