  • From £199 through to £449, this little video will show you some of the key models that really appeal to me.
LAG is a brand I really enjoyed recommending until the UK distribution went into the wilderness - however a new highly supportive Distributor has taken over who I know supports my quality ethos so its really exciting to be working with them again!
    Highlights of the video include:
A wonderful £199 price point. Stylish, affordable, high quality. A perfect starter guitar for someone wanting an inspiring instrument that can last a lifetime if necessary.
A lovely electro acoustic cutaway version of the above running at £299 with impressive pickup and EQ system
A top recommendation for anyone looking for a nylon electro hybrid. In other words, get all those beautiful nylon string sounds that feel exactly like an acoustic! So no more clumpy necks - Enjoy the feel of an acoustic but be inspired by the nylon string sound.
A GORGEOUS SLIMLINE electro acoustic / performance electro with advanced EQ. PERFECT for anyone who is needing a slimmer body whether it be for performance/stage use or younger players looking for something less bulky or people with shoulder impingement issues.
LAG really are beautifully stylish in their presentation but more importantly are made very well and have very high quality finish. They offer a different approach which I fully endorse.
A lovely fit for my shop! Hope you love them too.
I will be improving my catalog detail but here is what I have completed so far rguitars.co.uk...

I was in the market for a Yamaha APX, when I stumbled across Richard's YT channel. I really liked the look of the lag's simplistic design and finish especially the slimline model. I got in touch with Richard who answered all my questions and I've had the guitar for a few weeks now and simply don't want to put it down. Set up is bang on, it plays beautifully, and I personally feel it is a lot of guitar for the money.

I love LAG guitars and have almost bought one twice second hand but could not raise the very modest price each time (retirement has it's downsides !). They are brilliant instruments and I had thought that they had disappeared, but clearly not. What great news that they are still available and you are selling them Richard. Go get them folks !

Hi Richard, great videos as always!! I have several Lag guitars as I live here in SW France where they are made. The detailing that people sometimes call a rose. is in fact an occitan cross from the occitanie flag of the local area, like on my profile pic! I have connected them to effects pedals and my boss looper to fantastic effect! They reallyare fantastic guitars. All the best from sunny Gers SW France...Dave

The decoration AROUND the soundhole is called the "rose", regardless of the actual design that is there. It's an historical name from the earliest guitars.

Thanks for filming this. I recently purchased a used LAG T400j12ce stage, 12 string, for $350.00 US. Best value for dollars spent. I am in need of a tuning machine that is binding and will not tune properly. I can not find the part available in the US and am wondering if your supplier can direct me to a source. I just bought a second LAG as well, TSE701D with the snakewood. Again, excellent.

Great instrument. I have a LAG T66ACE that I truly enjoy. The only thing I can add is the guitar is quite rigid and seams to like light strings verses mediums. I do play professionally and this guitar fits in nicely to my family of guitar choices and brands as well as playability.
    Cheers and nice video,

Thanks for the video Richard. I've had three Lag level entry guitars in the last 6 years. All have been set up at the factory beautifully and played well "straight out of the box". So you won't be spending "an hour or so on these" or need to "add (much) value" in setting them up. I can't say that of Tanglewood.... What would be great is if you could recorded these instruments properly in your videos and get someone to play them who can actually play, rather than thrash seven shades of sh*t out of them. Just thought I'd identify this "improvement opportunity" for you. Keep up the good work!

I know I keep mentioning this but could you just mention if left handed versions of the guitars are available that you feature and if there is a significant price difference. Us lefties can then dismiss a brand that d9nt cater for us. Thanks!

Just bought a T88ACE, less than $500. Went into a Guitar Center not looking for an acoustic, but started noodling on a LAG.... :-/ ...resistance was futile. Hi Richard - they do look and sound seriously good! An overhaul of my acoustic line-up is on the cards - I have one guitar definitely in mind to find a new good home for. ;) - I won't say "it's facing the chop" - because that's brutal and I love all my guitars! (I bought them all for a reason) - but what might not be working for me right now could be spot on for somebody else. :)

Hi Richard. My name is Jesse from United States. I have been looking for a Lag guitar for over a year now. I have been playing guitar for about a year. I have tryed out several guitars but cannot seem to find the right sound to me They sounded great when you played them in your video
I have been looking for the right sound from a guitar. That would only get better with age. Can you help me in my pursuit of the right sounding guitar? I think that I need one with a Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. Also interested in Acoustic. Not acoustic electric. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

i just got this LAG yesterday! (looks like the electro pickup one with the cutout, $500 range.) tried a bunch and it blew the others away sub $500. very resonant, loud or soft voice, great range. there was a high quality Eastman that was technically better... gorgeous sound... but it couldn't do accents very well - it was too soft spoken, and i know that won't work for the styles i'm going to start on. Originally had a budget of $150-200 as it's my first guitar but this one just................ wow. you can feel it in your body. and it's a really comfortable hold (not killing my inner elbow) and the finish is high quality!
this guitar made me violate 2 things i had in mind when i went in. 1) PRICE 2) color.
i was NOT going to get a light colored guitar. i'm bored with the standard cookie cutter acoustic look and wanted a dark brown, or something in the blue or green range that didn't look cheapo. i initially overlooked this one because of that, but on another sweep, i thought "wow, that one over there looks really nice, actually, the wood is super pale, like the platinum blonde of guitars, and the sides are a really rich beautiful brown woodgrain, warm, and with that holo reflective effect i've seen on violins".......... so i gave it a strum and holy crap. floored.
i might have fallen in love in that instant. the other one i actually did have a burn for the second i saw it was a black & grey maple guitar, same price point, but the blonde one actually was better.
so, here we are, and this thing is just badass. really happy. *was night and day between this and the low end ones* . the projection, the range, articulation, comfort of the hold. just wow.
