@@N3RFTHIS that does not make the wood used on this guitar real Piratinera Guianense aka Snakewood Brosimum is a species of flowering plant in the genus Brosimum, native to southern Mexico, Central America, Trinidad, and tropical South America The wood called Snakewood, belongs to the family of Brosimum, but there are a lot of different types of trees belonging to that family. Piratinera Guianense (Snakewood) is 1 of that special trees of the Brosimum family. That wood on that guitar is absolutely NOT Snakewood. @@misterbracks Agree. I build classical guitars and my favorit wood for fretboards is real Snakewood, Piratinera Guianense (Brosimum) . In this video I am working on a Snakewood fretboard. th-cam.com/video/7Kim_OIKV1U/w-d-xo.html.
All seems groovy except for the headstock. Straigh pull kids......please get with the times. We all know it WORKS, step away from tradition that has proven to kink, bind and constantly be a tuning nightmare and fix it all with a workable headstock design. I would've gladly purchased one, but the headstock is a BIG deal breaker.
I have one and it's very stable, cannot fault the guitar, it's my go to acoustic. I have owned some expensive guitars and my lag competes with them no problem.
+TheEARLD Yep, I'm sure they are fine axes. I've got some real monsters, but ALL of them with that kind of angle through the nut causes them to bind at the nut. A nice, straight string pull.....I would've bought one.....or at least nut slots cut at angles to HELP with that (to show that they know what they are doing) ....Rollers on the headstock to create a straight string pull as well. Lots of things that can make a great guitar a lot better with minimum effort. I hope they consider it. Sure, I could do it myself in 10 minutes or less....but, I like to know that the makers are at least conscious of the drawbacks to that design. Cheers.
Groovy Music Lessons thanks, for the advice. I was looking at my nuts last night ( then my wife said put me away ), got the files out and made some slight adjustments to them. Now on to fixing one of the other acoustics, it has a bow around the fret 8, truss rod not doing much good, string height at 12 is fine , the string height at the nut is fine. I can see the bow and measure it but cannot fix it any ideas?.
I already own a cedar top LAG, plays and sounds like a dream.
