Happy almost Friday everyone and thank you so much for the best wishes on our hosts new nuptials last Saturday! Kinda crazy to think we filmed this review about 2 months ago, but the embargo has finally ended and the new Crown Signia once again feels like a Lexus for less and we are digging the styling a lot more than the Venza it replaces. RIP Venza, hopefully the Signia is here to stay!
I absolutely love your videos. I watch them whenever you post a new one. You help me to keep up with new cars. The new Crown Insignia looks really cool and ticks alot of peoples boxes.
I love the Signia and the wagon look, now we need a Camry wagon. Also congrats on your wedding!! I've been following you since 2016, so I'm happy to see you thriving.
Isn't this pretty much a Camry wagon already? They're both on the TNGA-K platform, have similar hybrid drivetrains, have almost the same wheelbase, and have very similar front facias.
Let's be honest about cargo space. The space that the Rav4 and others have over this is measured vertically, and most people don't stack things in SUVs to the ceiling except for occasions when purchasing televisions or moving huge boxes, in which case a few cubic feet aren't making a tremendous difference, and some of that can be made by rearranging and squeezing it in better. The horizontal space of this, however, and the ability to lay many items on the floor beside each other, to me, make this better than taller vehicles with less floor space. You can actually sleep in this! Wagons are great for this, and length matters.
Cubic feet of cargo space tells me NOTHING. I really agree with you about this subject. Rear view mirror that is actually a camera seems to make sense to me. If this Crown can store as much or more than my Subaru outback, I will purchase one.
Good-looking wagon, inside and out. The lack of an opening sunroof is a bummer, though. I hope this vehicle inspires Subaru to build a better looking Outback, and I hope it inspires Mazda to bring the Mazda 6 wagon to North America.
I really wish Toyota had spun the Crown brand as its own mid-Luxury or executive marque. The actual crown logo is so pretty. Also the Japanese market specific sedan would have been my next vehicle, not the egg shaped sedan that we got here in the States. Also congratulations!
I appreciate your super accurate down to 100th of a second 0-60 times, especially the ones with passengers in the vehicle and "slightly uphill" ones. They should be considered the industry standard.
If Toyota can make this move by bringing back the crown emblem, it would boost its sales numbers. I don't want to spend that money on a Toyota that can buy a Lexus.
Yeah way too expensive. Costs the same as an RX. No reason to buy this when you can buy an RX instead. Toyota already learned this lesson with the old Land Cruiser. It cost the same as the LX and as such the LX out sold the Land Cruiser. Hence the reason they didn't bother to bring the 300 series Land Cruiser to the US.

I have a 2009 Venza, and one of the main reasons we love it is that we don't have to strain to get in or out. The second generation Venza was a disappointment. For 52k, I believe you might be able to get regular highlander limited for that price. The cargo space and leg room and headroom are horrible considering this is as big as a regular highlander but just 2 rows. You can get a fully loaded RAV4 for 10K less, and still having more space, which makes signia laughable.
You're missing the point, the Crown is priced higher because of the refinement, not everyone cares about cargo space nor do they need the leg/headroom if they're not tall. My family has a 2022+ Venza, Highlander, and Lexus RX. I've test driven the RAV4. The Venza is a more pleasant driving experience (quieter, smoother, more soft touch materials) than the RAV4 or the Highlander, it's closer to the RX. Since the Crown Signia is replacing the Venza, it will have the similar Lexus-like driving experience.
@@B0rnToSlay where is the refinement? That's the beauty of Toyota having so many models, people can pick and choose what you want out of their vehicle.
Major problem with mostly all new Toyota 2024 and 2024 for example, the 2006 Toyota Prius had plenty of headroom and a person 6 foot one could fit in it comfortably the 2024 and 2025. Toyota Prius is completely different someone of that same height cannot fit in the vehicle. The crown also is missing a lot of headroom. A person of 6 foot height cannot fit comfortably in the Toyota crown with less headroom.
Yes. I’m 5’ tall and I had to put the new Prius’ seat all the way up to see over the dash board. Haha-my head almost hit the roof, so claustrophobic too. I’m still driving my 2009 Prius.💃🏽
Toyota should consider making a Prime version for more performance based on the Limited trim with that beautiful saddle tan leather interior that makes it look like it's got a Lexus interior. I personally love that interior color 😍🔥🤩
Good review… but nearly $50k for even base model after 7.5% tax and $630 registration in CA is just too expensive. In my Calif county, sales tax and registration adds $4111 based on a $45000 price so you’re over $49k even with base model. A used Volvo XC90 looks attractive for $15k less.
Sofyan, Most mainstream compact CUVs now exceed $40K in their top trims. The Crown Signia XLE (starting at $43,200) is something of a bargain. 🤩🤩 My only major gripe is the lack of 40/20/40 rear seats as this should be an ideal ski wagon.
That means a fully loaded Crown Signia is over 12 thousand dollars more expensive than a fully loaded RAV4/CR-V etc. Not worth it in my opinion. Including taxes, fees, accessories etc. a fully loaded Crown Signia Limited would be 60k, no thanks!
Hi Sofyan, since the sunroof is stationary can it be tinted? If the roof glass matches the glass used on the front side and rear then there’s no problem. And I would rather have it ceramic limo tinted and did connect the shade so this way you have light but also privacy. I live in Sarasota so the UV and the humidity can get like a frying pan. Great Video Thank You 🙏. Could you please find out from your connections at corporate. Thanks 🙏
I think something like how trucks can have rear windows tinted while passenger cars can't. SUV/ crossovers/ mini vans are considered "trucks" whereas sedans, hatchbacks, wagons are considered passenger cars
I am only 5’5” tall and I raise the front seat so I can see adequately. Unfortunately every car that I have driven has a seat that moves forward while raising it. With a 27” inseam I end up driving with the seat as far back as possible. I wish that the seat would go back further but unfortunately vehicle makers don’t see it that way. I really, really like this vehicle and will definitely consider it the next time I am in the market.
The gasp I gusped when the steering had manual controls. There’s no way with that price tag. The Crown is supposed to be an alternative to the Lexus models, not just a glorified Camry.
It's a wagon, and that's a good thing. Consumer Reports dissed it for having a lot of road and wind noise on the highway. I didn't see any mention of that here.

How does ride quality compare to nx350h
Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈🍾
You are one of the best reviewers. Thanks! 😊
Huge dealer markups around here.
Toyota should consider making a Prime version for more performance based on the Limited trim with that beautiful saddle tan leather interior that makes it look like it's got a Lexus interior. I personally love that interior color 😍🔥🤩
Will this be available in Europe?
Congratulations on getting married 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉!!!
I have had this in my calendar for ages
I really like this cars look but that price tag! Also, Congratulations!! Wishing you both all the best in love and life ❤🎉
I think 51k price tag is high compared to other vehicles in the market with third rows.
Excellent review!
What is "full hybrid", as you have described?
Thank you for another excellent comprehensive and honest review.
Is this better than plug in hybrid ? When this model will come in Europe?
Good review… but nearly $50k for even base model after 7.5% tax and $630 registration in CA is just too expensive. In my Calif county, sales tax and registration adds $4111 based on a $45000 price so you’re over $49k even with base model. A used Volvo XC90 looks attractive for $15k less.
Really is a shame they couldn't get something in the 6.5s range.
Sofyan I think you'd also like the Storm Cloud exterior color which is a blue & gray hybrid color that also looks really nice
Anyone knows what type of suspension is in xle trim ? Apparently the suspension on limited trim is not offered for xle...not even an add on option.
How is the front and back leg room for people 6 feet and over.
the gas tank is only 14.5 gallons?... other videos implied the tank was the same as the RX350h, because they said over 600 miles range.
and, to be clear, 14.5 gallons is a zonk... since this is a road trip vehicle, its range should not be LESS than a Camry.
No it's not.
Lol no it’s not. Horrible deal for something this small and slow. Classic Toyota…
At 50k you can buy a rx350 lol
I think your looking at averages prices for these pushing $60K.
Thanks 🙏
Is the side glass insulated?
When is 2025 rav4 hybrid coming out?
with cargo, load floor size is what matters most... Venza's trunk wins on height, but Crown Signia should have a bigger floor.
@4:47 Its not the first time you talk about tinted window and EPA classification for suv can you elaborate on that ?
Toyota king 👑
Beautiful wagon! 😍
The gasp I gusped when the steering had manual controls. There’s no way with that price tag. The Crown is supposed to be an alternative to the Lexus models, not just a glorified Camry.
I’ll take them any day over the crap in my Lexus. I prefer my Camry’s wheel controls anyday
That’s going to be an amazing car to buy used. I don’t think Toyota makes a better looking car
It's a wagon, and that's a good thing. Consumer Reports dissed it for having a lot of road and wind noise on the highway. I didn't see any mention of that here.
