Love to watch your videos from two years ago and See how you have grown and developed over time.... so great to see. Even back then you made beautiful changes to the pieces you picked. 😍
I don't believe I have seen a beautiful old piece gone over as thoroughly as you did. I mean, you even paid attention to the back of it! Leaving much of the natural wood exposed and protected is a standard of work matched by few. Treating the insides as well as you treat the outside is a sign of a true craft man. Well done.
Every furniture restorer need to watch how you prep every piece of furniture you do. Your step by step process from start to finish is impressive. Nothing is overlooked. The voice overs are just as important. You tell us what you're doing and why. Every now and then, I watch other restorers, but after awhile I stop. Why? They never match what you do. Right away, I compare them to how your process works. You teach as well as demonstrate what you're doing. Your willingness to experiment and even make mistakes is very entertaining. And in the end, another excellent result. Well done Sir.👍
I'm an older lady living in Florida & I love how you always remove the hardware before giving the piece a good scrub down. A lot of gunk can hide in the crevices around the hardware. Any buyer is assured that they are getting a very clean piece.
My new favorite channel by far! You are setting yourself apart from the rest by doing all the necessary prep work to make this piece stand out. I was blown away by the final reveal. Just gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Looks like our channels are very similar in style : ) Barry
Thanks mate! That’s very kind of you and yes, I agree we can definitely learn from each other. I am keeping a close eye on your progress as well! Love your style.
You are aware enough to see the excellence that this craftsman brings to this piece. Thank you for encouraging. Each piece is another step to outstanding use of what materials are there to give the world another unique lovely piece.
Your vision and hard work changed this older beauty into a classic, timeless piece. I always appreciate your attention to details and how clean your items are. In my opinion that is the difference between someone that 'slaps paint on furniture and a true artisan'. Your items definitely fit the Boutique Furniture category, aka 'functional art pieces'.
I grew up with the buffet to my grandparents walnut dining room suite similar to this one. It seemed almost sacrilege at first when you were painting a portion of it, but I ended up really liking the finished look. Also it may take longer to do the extra stripping and sanding, but it looks better and one has the satisfaction of knowing it was a job well done. I’m a Canadian who enjoys what you do😊❤.
I usually default to wanting old wood to stay in its natural state. I was cringing a bit when you started painting it because I felt the natural wood was beautiful enough. But your eye for bringing out completely new looks in old furniture -- without being too "trendy" or garish -- is amazing! I loved the final result and know this venerable old lady of oak will be welcome in many more homes with the updated look. Thank you!
I love how you give these neglected pieces a new lease of life. I have a 1930s sideboard that needs some TLC & you are inspiring me to make it beautiful again.
You are the first furniture flipper that I have come across that actually cleans and sands the entire piece. England is just a treasure trove of vintage furniture. I used to love going to the auctions with my Mum and Nannie. I just subscribed. Looking forward to watching all your past and future videos. Thank you!
I really love the way that you take the time to attend to all those "tedious " details... the extra sanding inside the drawers and that wonderful smelling orange wax. These really make the difference in the finished work! Keep on saving those treasures!!!
I love the natural beauty of wood and with the grey and accented gold really makes this side table pop. It's beautiful. I love the detail and extra attention you give it.
It looks so different to how it started and infinitely better. Absolutely beautiful and that gilding wax on the detail just sets it off perfectly. Well done.
I really love how you even change the back board and wax it and do inside the drawers and really show the value and potential of the piece. It's shows you care and as a potential buyer I would feel more comfortable knowing that the rest is done equally carefully. 😊
Yes, I don't understand people that feel comfortable doing what looks like an incomplete job, which is a negative way of congratulating you on your thorough work philosophy 👏!
One aspect of your videos I really enjoy is your demonstrations that projects aren't perfect but ingenuity and compromise can save the day. We live in a real world. Thanks for not "sugar coating" it.
I have never seen you paint furniture before. You usually let the wood shine through. But this is just as lovely and beautiful as all your work is. I so enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing.
I love this piece & the care you spend making sure the ENTIRE piece is perfectly finished. I’m sure you must have a natural talent to improvise when things go left! I love the alternative choices you end up with when your piece ends up ‘fighting’ you.😅
You are one of the few who sand inside the drawers, too. The older the piece, the more attention to cleaning and sanding. The final outcome was delightful!
I truly appreciate the details you explain in your videos. I also appreciate you don’t talk on and on about non-essentials. Straight and to the point of what works and what don’t!
I wasn't sure I would like the painted doors but the final result was wonderful. Your work is really inspiring, and we should all aspire to do as thorough a job as you do in whatever we do. You really are a professional!
Sheer perfection. Love seeing furniture made in Europe it's way different the American made pieces, but in a good way. I live in a small town rural Colorado and this piece would make my room spark. Thank you for your videos!
I appreciate how much work you do on these pieces. I hate sanding too! But the end results speak for themselves. This looks really fabulous and a really modern finish for something that looked liked it had seen the last of its days. Gorgeous!
Really interesting colour combinations. I quite like the way the colours individually hightlight seperately the details of each part. Great modernization of an old and still beautiful and useful piece of furniture.
Really interesting result. It lends such a stylized result. That is what makes your works so individualistic. Your furniture design craft is just lovely. It is just all yours!!! Wow, busy man!
Wow!! Just stunning. My favorite look is when a piece has some wood tones. I completely agree with you. I've seen beautiful transformations but the details are skipped, which I would be embarrassed to sell. Can'twait for your next piece. .
Love what you did in this piece. That hardware, kinda reminds me of pocket watches. Super cool adding the gold touches to the details in that middle section. Your one of two ppl i watch on youtube who actally refreshes the entire piece. Not just the outeside/front. Transcend furniture gallery, she does too. So nice to see😊😊❤❤
GORGEOUS!! I love the two-tone look you did with the wood (love me some No Pain Gel Stain, it’s so easy to use and far better, IMO, than any of the stains sold at the hardware stores) and the gold gilding wax against the gray paint.
Ho molto apprezzato come è stato riportato a nuova vita il bel mobile, l'accuratezza e la cura del dettaglio, la scelta dei colori e infine l'uso della cera profumata all'arancia, quasi potevo sentirlo da casa😊 Ben fatto
The gilding wax was the final touch of artistry. I also love Howards' Feed & Wax, it smells great and is relatively inexpensive. Wood is like our skin-if we never nourish it, it will dry and crack, looking older than it should look 🙂Greetings from Singapore
Awesome work. I love the tone of the natural wood when the bees wax is applied. It really enriched the natural color of the wood. Nice customs mixes paint as well.
Another beautiful piece I love watching you with your DIYs and learn so much from you I do love that you pay close attention to all the details I agree with you the prep work is the most important of all the gel stain is beautiful along with the colour thank you so much for sharing have a great evening and God bless
Hi what a transformation, most people would have done away with this but u have made it really modern and would grace any home, I’m glad u have mentioned sanding all the parts front and back, so many artists paint great pieces and never paint or stain the back, they never paint under the base so if u lift it up it looks totally unfinished , so u r right, all my pieces back and underneath are painted looks far more professional, cheers paul from re- pauled .

Very nice. That was a lot of work.

Much appreciated ! Im going to my first auction tomorrow 😜🤗
Additionally, I live the fact that you wax the insides of drawers. It is very refreshing!
Thank you! Much appreciated 👍🏻

I love this piece. The way you used color, metallic, two natural wood tones, just so beautiful!❤
I love the natural beauty of wood and with the grey and accented gold really makes this side table pop. It's beautiful. I love the detail and extra attention you give it.
Thank you so much!
You did a beautiful job on this piece! The gold hardware and embellishment took this piece over the top!!!❤❤❤
It looks so different to how it started and infinitely better. Absolutely beautiful and that gilding wax on the detail just sets it off perfectly. Well done.
Thank you very much!
I can't believe how you have changed over the past three years. You have learned how to communicate like a professional speaker. Yeah Jay!
I really love how you even change the back board and wax it and do inside the drawers and really show the value and potential of the piece. It's shows you care and as a potential buyer I would feel more comfortable knowing that the rest is done equally carefully. 😊

Wow, this piece turned out amazing. Love the bluish/grey and the 2 tones of wood. Great job as always. :)
Thank you so much 😀

🥰 so kind of you
I like your attention to detail. When I refurbish furniture, I want the entire piece to look good. I hate seeing sloppy work.
Thank you ☺️ I do try to be thorough.
Nice to know that mis-steps don’t just happen to us amateurs. It gets so discouraging!
I agree...sanding is definitely not my favorite thing to do! But somehow, watching YOU do it is very relaxing, lol!
I like seeing that you finish the whole piece not just the out side.
You are one of the few who sand inside the drawers, too. The older the piece, the more attention to cleaning and sanding. The final outcome was delightful!
Thank you ☺️
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!!! That is what we say here in the US. And you turned this into a Treasure.
I ❤ watching the sanding. It's so pretty afterward. Then the stain just gives it that shine!
Truly stunning in every way. Just love the way you chose to update this piece. Great job🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😊
Thank you so much 😊
Very nice job love the finish.👍
Beautiful job love the natural wood 😊

Thank you , amazing job
Thank you too! amazing comment 🥰
I agree! Many “restorers” don’t take care to do things professionally and just do quick sloppy work. Kudos on your attention to detail! ❤️
Thanks 👍
So beautiful. Iove the natural waxed wood combined with stain and paint. The gold details were the finishing touch!
Glad you like it!
Really interesting result. It lends such a stylized result. That is what makes your works so individualistic. Your furniture design craft is just lovely. It is just all yours!!! Wow, busy man!

It is lovely. I love the look of real oak and the green paint and gold accents really make the piece look elegant.

Wow. That turned out gorgeous. I love the gold gilding wax. It totally made that piece look amazing.
You treat the piece with TLC and give it a personality all its own. Loved the gilding wax, nice touch.😊
Thank you 😊
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PIECE EVEN BEFORE!!!
Stunning
Thank you ;-)
Really, very nice work! And you were right, she is a sleeping beauty. Very enjoyable, as always!
I can watch these videos over and over, very relaxing content.
It looks very nice. I prefer the grey to the green.
SOooooooo comfortable, SOooooooo forgiving.
It's actually just lovely. Your artstry is evident in every piece.
Very kind of you 💛💛💛
The gilding wax was the final touch of artistry. I also love Howards' Feed & Wax, it smells great and is relatively inexpensive. Wood is like our skin-if we never nourish it, it will dry and crack, looking older than it should look 🙂Greetings from Singapore

I don’t usually care for multiple colors on furniture but this gorgeous!
Love the way you use different finishes to create a new piece. Good looking! Carol from California, USA
Your attention to detail is everything! Gorgeous!
Absolutely stunning
Thank you ☺️
Love the wood ..
I love the way you respect the beauty of the wood furniture. Glad you care for the whole piece. You take grate pride in your craft. Thank you
Well said Lynda. Thank you and thanks for watching !
beautiful ...I love that you kept most of the beautiful oak natural
It all pulled together at the very end. Stunning !
I love the way you take the time to redo the whole piece. Also the concept of wood and paint is very pretty. ❤️
Absolutely Stunning
Absolutely stunning comment 😜
How Georgus this piece is ,the best so far
I just drama-fainted....so beautiful....the aesthetics is spot on...omg can someone get me some oxygen?
My favourite comment this week 😂😂😂
This sideboard is very similar the one my maternal grandparents had in their sitting room in their terrace house in Romford, Essex in the 50's.
Nice peice to work on, all the lines. Love the color combo. And really like the hardware. BEAUTIFUL.
Thank you! Cheers!
I rebuilt that from broken furniture. The two holes were for to add top piece with mirror.
Awesome work. I love the tone of the natural wood when the bees wax is applied. It really enriched the natural color of the wood. Nice customs mixes paint as well.
Thank you very much!
Sir... There is genius in your artistry. Wow. 😍✨
I don't live very far away from Trashman' s Treasures! I love it there!
VERY UNIQUE! True beauty!
Hey nice project. I love working with oak. I feel it makes the best furniture. Cheers!
