Yay! A new episode!!!
This is much better than anything on Netflix...
I have to agree with that. ♥️😊👍
Me too
Agree
Absolutley agree … I’m really cherishing these and wait eagerly for next❤
For most parts, yes but I found an interesting documentary
Another beauty from another era. Loving the two tones of the wood. It’s so striking.
I’m really impressed that you made the proper knobs for it.
I really believe when it comes to knowing your different pieces of furniture you definitely know it.
So good to see you back you’ve been missed.
♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟👏
Well, another masterpiece from the master artist. The attention to detail right down to casting the knobs made this restoration a beautifully finished 1940s period piece. ❤ Keep perfecting your skills and I can't wait to see your next restoration. 🙂👍
My grandparents had this style of furniture in their apartment in Odessa. I loved it, I remember crying when they replaced it with a lacquered wall to wall unit that everyone wanted to have at the time…
What an unusual nightstand!
I love the indented shelf! Very clever designs from the Deco Era. You have done a fantastic job restoring this piece. Thanks for naming the wood.
Some of us like to know these things. Flaming Birch is a good name for the fabulous wood grain. Again, this is a great piece of furniture restored with care and skill. Thanks!
Wow, I love the style of this nightstand! And, as usual, you brought it back to life. After seeing so many restorers work on Art Deco pieces, I am really starting to love this style of furniture. This nightstand is gorgeous.
What an unusual design with the side cutout. Would love to have this as a bedside table. Another beautiful restoration, Ahti!
Ahti, what a lovely nightstand. It looked so tired & worn out when you first showed it, and you gave it back its life. Thank you for sharing this. Really nicely done.
This is a beautiful restoration. I love a beautiful wood grain, and watching it come to life as you refinished this piece was so satisfying.
As someone who restores & refinishes furniture myself, I really love watching your channel and have learned a lot from watching your episodes. Great job on this piece!
Wow, you know all the cool tricks to make stuff. I love the Flaming Birch wood design that is beautiful. You always do such great work and on anything you can. Thanks for sharing and you have a wonderful day
Wow, how beautiful this piece turned out! The chosen shade really enhanced it, as did the handles you made. I'm speechless about your immense talent! Thank you and I'm already waiting for the new video! 🌷
The wood grain in this piece is just beautiful. I always get excited when the tiny brushes come out because it means some grain detail is about to be perfectly restored. Furniture hardware is just another topic of which you seem to have encyclopedic knowledge for materials and design. Beautiful, Ahti, as always.
I had a stand in my home like this when I was a kid in the 70’s. I believe it was a stand to hold your telephone and the cubby was a place for your phone book. This brand msg back memories, fantastic job as usual.
I love the unique design of this little night stand. You do such wonderful work when restoring pieces like this! You are truly a craftsman!!! ❤❤❤
Please never change your 'reveal' music, I love it. Excellent craftsmanship.
This looks just like the telephone table my grandparents had. I loved ❤️ that piece. Remarkable restoration. Just beautiful. 👍🙂🥰💕
This is a lovely transformation. I love the definitive difference between the dark wood and the light trims. I imagine it may have started life that way, but over time blurred more into a muted difference. It’s a great restoration xx
What a cool little nightstand! Love watching your process!
Mr magic fingers just admire his dedication to everything he does.
So happy you restored it to it's former glory.
No i pięknie wyszło !
Zdrowia życzę.
The flaming birch looks GREAT.
Flaming birch always turns out so beautiful.
That came out beautifully! I love the contrasting colors.
It isn’t a night stand. It’s a telephone cabinet. That shelf on the side is for a phone book. Nice piece of vintage nostalgia. BTW, I’m 70 years old. I remember these kinds of cabinets😊
I have a matched pair of nightstands that are very similar to this. I imagine this type of table had multiple purposes.
Great call. in today's world people don't know what a Rotary dial phone is.
What a gorgeous piece you brought back to life. You just do such amazing restoration to pieces of furniture that haven't been loved in decades.
Beautiful wood grain. Love this piece. Awesome work! ❤
Nice work 👌🙌🏻
WOW! Gorgeous job! Such a beautiful piece of furniture; nothing new compares to such design and workmanship. Thank you.
I like how you are willing to show what doesn’t work as well as your beautiful handy work. Nice job on this nightstand.
Once again an amazing restoration. I have to say you are soooo neat when you're working. It impresses me almost as much as your talent at restoring : )
Minu lemmiktehnikad: lihvimine, hööveldamine, meiseldamine, seejärel peitsimine, poleerimine ja poleerimine! 😻

My favorite techniques: sanding, planing, chiselling, then staining, polishing and buffing! 😻
This is like watching professional athletes. They make it look so easy and effortless, then when you try to do it yourself, you realize just how skilled they are.
And whenever I think I'm getting pretty good at my restoration craft I watch one of these videos and get a dose of humility.
I love this little piece and how you took the care to create new matching knobs for it. Thank you 😍
Why did you use the diluted shellac before staining?
The birch tend to get blotchy when it is stained. It prevents it.
I suspected that!
This is exactly what my grandma used to have in a bedroom.
Znam ten typ szafki nocnej . W Polsce komunistycznej czyli lata 1950- 1970 można było kupić taki mebel .
Beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen flaming birchwood before. It’s outstanding. You did a great job.😊
Hot hide wood glue is better for re-sticking old lifted veneer, it's very liquid so will flow under easily and fill any cracks, goes hard FAST in a matter of minutes so it work is quick, no "waiting for glue to dry with masking top over it" , it can be sanded and can also be coloured from light to dark brown for a close colourmatch.
It's also "period" for most renovations of furniture pre-1970, so any repair will be "invisible" compared to the rest of the peice.
This gave me an answer to a problem about trying to find some pull-knobs - I can MAKE them! Lovely restoration. (I even have one of those vacuum boxes - supposed to keep vegetables fresher, but this is a much better use...)
The transformation of the wood as you apply the shellac made me say “oh!” out loud. If that little lovely piece of furniture could speak I think it would say the same thing.
I totally agree with the person who started with the words Ye obviously we are glad your back with us with new episoids of your skilful work. Welcome Back mr AT ❤🎉😮😊
nice job ! As every time !! You are golden handed
I do love very much that nightstand
Congratulations from France !
Always love your work ❤ from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
You make it look so easy! and we know that it's not. Beautiful restoration. Thank you for bringing me happiness and making my day ❣❣
That’s a cutie 🥰, can’t wait to see it shine ✨
This channel and the channel Epic Upcycles is my favorite. I hope I spelled it correctly 😊
I was trying to think what the niche was for. I guess a book? Or maybe specifically a bible?
The thing that I find amazing while at the same time makes me realize why a lot of pieces are tossed is that something that looks like it only has at most stain and varnish can actually have beautifully patterned wood underneath that's for the most part invisible! The veneer on this piece, gorgeous! Totally worth saving
Nice job. Art Deco was a beautiful style.
Truly lovely and amazing transformation. Thank you.
Even beat up, it’s a marvelous design. So “home-crafted.”
Well done with piano hangers.and lovely finish as usual.🎉😮😊
I love this nightstand! I wish I could find something like it now, I guess I better start looking at antiques and learn to restore!
Beautiful! I love the contrast of the two woods, in both color and pattern.
Wow. That’s awesome. Such a beautiful little dresser.
That was a Bakelite handle. Those are expensive. That one looks in good condition.
Having seen flame birch twice in recent projects I've put it squarely in my favorite woods group! So pretty!
you really brought that back to life and I'm sure in a hundred years the next restorer will appreciate you sanding it flat
Wery nice!!!!
Could you please explain what is shelac or how you make it??
Thanks!!!

Where did you get your vacuum chamber and pump? That would come in handy for model building.
Absolutely fantastic video.
This is originally for food storage.
A Beautiful Restoration !
Thank You 🙏
Is the intro your music? I live for it and need a 40 minute chillstream, please...your music channel is astounding, by the way~
Thanks! Yes the intro music is mine. I have many more tracks but I have just being lazy uploading :)
Could this be a telephone table? The little open shelf is the perfect place to put a phone book.
Glorious restoration! Useful new tricks. Many thanks.
Beautiful! Pure Art Deco restoration!
Why did you use PVA to attach the top and not hide glue like in chairs?
Really love how much the flame birch pops after your work on it!
Honestly, I don´t have the glue heating pot atm. Both ways are OK.
Beautiful!!
Oooh! 😸

Oooh! I'm ready to jump on to the style trend of the 1920-1940's with its spare ornamentation and streamlined edges and corners! 😸

Once again you’ve made a piece of furniture beautiful again!! Beautiful work !!!!
Perfect work congratulations
What a cute little piece! It came out great.
The hinge on the door spoils the beauty
Stunning wood! Just lovely! Nice work!
Such a wonderful piece you breathed new life into. Thanks for posting.
You’ve got talent. I wish there were more videos.
Muito bonito! A craftsman like him is a sight for sore eyes.
It’s gorgeous. Deco is my favourite style of furniture.
A wonderful restoration! What a beautiful job you did!!
Making it look easy. I love art deco.
I was a little scared as you started to mix epoxy. A millisecond there was a river-table nightstand with flashing multi-colour LED-Lights in my mind. Thank you that you did not do that, Ahti!
Good idea! Hehe, just kidding.
@@ATRestoration Thank you. Just survived my second minor heart attack within this page ;-).
Hello AT beautiful restoration well done
Thanks for posting, great job again.
Beautiful work, as always. You saved sad trash and made it pretty.
Very well done, Ahti.
Amazing job! Ty!❤
I saw firewood, you saw opportunity. Another stunning restoration.
Magnificent wood grain.
