Another beauty from another era. Loving the two tones of the wood. It’s so striking. I’m really impressed that you made the proper knobs for it. I really believe when it comes to knowing your different pieces of furniture you definitely know it. So good to see you back you’ve been missed. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟👏
Ich bin begeistert, das sie immer beim Stil des Möbelstücks auch in den Details bleiben. Sie verdecken nicht Unzulänglichkeiten mit irgendeiner bunten Farbe sondern werden dem Charakter des Holzes gerecht
My grandparents had this style of furniture in their apartment in Odessa. I loved it, I remember crying when they replaced it with a lacquered wall to wall unit that everyone wanted to have at the time…
This looks like hotel furniture, bedside table for phone book & sundry items. I saw furniture like this in a hotel built in the mid 30's Beautiful restoration!!
Well, another masterpiece from the master artist. The attention to detail right down to casting the knobs made this restoration a beautifully finished 1940s period piece. ❤ Keep perfecting your skills and I can't wait to see your next restoration. 🙂👍
I had a stand in my home like this when I was a kid in the 70’s. I believe it was a stand to hold your telephone and the cubby was a place for your phone book. This brand msg back memories, fantastic job as usual.
As someone who restores & refinishes furniture myself, I really love watching your channel and have learned a lot from watching your episodes. Great job on this piece!
The wood grain in this piece is just beautiful. I always get excited when the tiny brushes come out because it means some grain detail is about to be perfectly restored. Furniture hardware is just another topic of which you seem to have encyclopedic knowledge for materials and design. Beautiful, Ahti, as always.
The thing that I find amazing while at the same time makes me realize why a lot of pieces are tossed is that something that looks like it only has at most stain and varnish can actually have beautifully patterned wood underneath that's for the most part invisible! The veneer on this piece, gorgeous! Totally worth saving
What an unusual nightstand! I love the indented shelf! Very clever designs from the Deco Era. You have done a fantastic job restoring this piece. Thanks for naming the wood. Some of us like to know these things. Flaming Birch is a good name for the fabulous wood grain. Again, this is a great piece of furniture restored with care and skill. Thanks!
Wow, I love the style of this nightstand! And, as usual, you brought it back to life. After seeing so many restorers work on Art Deco pieces, I am really starting to love this style of furniture. This nightstand is gorgeous.
Another super impressive video. You bring these things back to like you made the wood so beautiful and you are so meticulous and careful. I absolutely love it and every single piece I see you do I say I would buy that and this one today that wood grain. It's astounding the things you can do. I'm really glad you make the videos. I find them very relaxing and and enjoyable and artistic and thank you
Wow, how beautiful this piece turned out! The chosen shade really enhanced it, as did the handles you made. I'm speechless about your immense talent! Thank you and I'm already waiting for the new video! 🌷
This is a lovely transformation. I love the definitive difference between the dark wood and the light trims. I imagine it may have started life that way, but over time blurred more into a muted difference. It’s a great restoration xx
Such beautiful veneers! Many people think that using veneers on less beautiful wood is wasteful. I disagree. Only a rich person could afford to have solid wood furniture made from such an expensive wood. Your project turned out beautifully. Another thing that I enjoy about your channel is how you show/teach others how to use tools, equipment & techniques that are accessible to a home woodworker. Using small pallet knives to insert glue under loose veneers, using a manual vacuum pump to remove bubbles from molded epoxy parts, creative use of paint pens to blend in repairs... I have learned some very useful things from watching your videos. Thanks Ahti!
Ahti, what a lovely nightstand. It looked so tired & worn out when you first showed it, and you gave it back its life. Thank you for sharing this. Really nicely done.
Wow, you know all the cool tricks to make stuff. I love the Flaming Birch wood design that is beautiful. You always do such great work and on anything you can. Thanks for sharing and you have a wonderful day
I totally agree with the person who started with the words Ye obviously we are glad your back with us with new episoids of your skilful work. Welcome Back mr AT ❤🎉😮😊
Perfectly restored as usual! I love how you created the knobs. What would they have been made of in the 1930’s? So glad you are back with more episodes. Love this channel!😊
Once again an amazing restoration. I have to say you are soooo neat when you're working. It impresses me almost as much as your talent at restoring : )
WoW! Just WoW! What a beautiful piece. When it was new in the 40's it was a looker and you've returned it from being old and worn back into a looker. It is from the era I'm from, so I know about old and worn. Too bad we can't do something as awesome for us old and worn humans!
This is like watching professional athletes. They make it look so easy and effortless, then when you try to do it yourself, you realize just how skilled they are. And whenever I think I'm getting pretty good at my restoration craft I watch one of these videos and get a dose of humility.
This gave me an answer to a problem about trying to find some pull-knobs - I can MAKE them! Lovely restoration. (I even have one of those vacuum boxes - supposed to keep vegetables fresher, but this is a much better use...)
Another great little AT Restoration, as ever, im always happy on a Saturday when I get a ping there is a new video. What a beautiful looking little bedside cabinet. Well done Ahti ❤
Wonderful! We watch lots of old movies from the thirties and forties. I love the movies, but also enjoy seeing fashions, architecture and decoration. But, oh my goodness, so much smoking. That stained everything, I bet.
Yay! A new episode!!!
This is much better than anything on Netflix...
I have to agree with that. ♥️😊👍
Me too
Agree
Absolutley agree … I’m really cherishing these and wait eagerly for next❤
For most parts, yes but I found an interesting documentary
Merci!
Thanks!
Love the two-tone effect. Pretty little piece! Many thanks.

Please never change your 'reveal' music, I love it. Excellent craftsmanship.
Flaming birch always turns out so beautiful.
Mr magic fingers just admire his dedication to everything he does.
Da kommen Kindheitserinnerungen hoch❤. Wir haben das selbe Kästchen noch daheim von meinen Großeltern
As someone who restores & refinishes furniture myself, I really love watching your channel and have learned a lot from watching your episodes. Great job on this piece!
The flaming birch looks GREAT.
Wow Ahti, you really brought out the grain so nicely. It looks so different and very classy. Great work as usual. Thank you from Australia.
So happy you restored it to it's former glory.

I love this nightstand! I wish I could find something like it now, I guess I better start looking at antiques and learn to restore!

What an unusual design with the side cutout. Would love to have this as a bedside table. Another beautiful restoration, Ahti!
This is a beautiful restoration. I love a beautiful wood grain, and watching it come to life as you refinished this piece was so satisfying.

What a gorgeous piece you brought back to life. You just do such amazing restoration to pieces of furniture that haven't been loved in decades.
Великолепная тумбочка. Такого дизайна у меня в детстве был 2-х створчатый платяной шкаф. Золотые руки у мастера.
Wow, you know all the cool tricks to make stuff. I love the Flaming Birch wood design that is beautiful. You always do such great work and on anything you can. Thanks for sharing and you have a wonderful day
