Congratulations Jay! You are the winner of the ugly duckling challenge. Your piece embodies the idea of an Ugly Duckling turning into a Beautiful Swan!
@@Flippingdrawers what a kind and accurate bestowing. Proud if your work. When a piece of thing is restored it gives me hope that the living person can be salvaged and repaired also. It is a hopeful action full of faith.
Jay does such beautiful work. I'm so glad for him. Now that he has his new studio things are just getting better and better for him. Just wanted to tell you, Corey, that I think your idea of having seasonal Ugly Duckling challenges was a stroke of genius. Consider that you are bringing furniture lovers and furniture flippers together literally from all over the world. Jay is in the UK, there are people from Australia, I know of one gentleman from Wales, and of course a hard core of Americans. Thanks for doing this Corey, and JAY, BEAUTIFUL WORK! You deserved this win. Great job!
I so appreciate you saving and restoring these once worthy pieces back to their glorious selves. What they've lived through to be discarded and forgotten. You breathe a new life, a longer life for all to cherish.
Not only is your work meticulous and result gorgeous but all the comments I read were appreciative and positive. You have a lovely, supportive community.
You did a "BANG UP JOB"!!!! You took a "BANGED UP" PIECE, HaHa, and turned it into an INCREDIBLE little Dresser!!!! Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS on WINNING the "Ugly Duckling Challenge"!!!!

I love refurnishing and I think we need to see farther than saving a piece of furniture. That dresser wasn't just ugly; it was dying -- and you performed CPR! Wow. You should absolutely win. We need longer "after" shots, though: opening and closing the drawers, especially that drawer you made, seeing drawer interiors, etc. Beautiful.
You should definitely be the WINNER of this challenge. You found the ugliest piece and gave it so much love, respect, and patience. Your skills are incredible. This all comes from a girl who paints everything and declares there should be no unpainted furniture.
What a beautiful end result after all of the work you put into it. I like the curved wooden legs you actually used much more than the first option you considered. I wish the people who left this dresser on the curb could have a chance to see it transformed.
