Finally a great video about the variety of RGB selections, and an actual good short explanation on each of them. I personally use the NZXT Aero RGB (2 for my x52 and 1 as an exhaust) and with the most recent cam software update, 3.3.5 it has been a lot more stable

Only thing i could think of that would fix it is swapping the port it is connected to or reinstalling drivers for it.

Am hoping to have exhaust rgb fans at the top of my next build and wanted them to shine upwards to illuminate the top of the case as well. Yes in my case I'm a fan of a flashing backside

I'm currently using the NZXT hue+ with 2 120mm as exhaust. Nice to see how they match up against competitors. I do like how they speed up and match performance when the X62 starts to get moving through CAM.

Yep, I totally stole it from them, LOL. Theirs is much better, but I figure this simplified one is good enough for now, I hope!
Not sure if there's a better way to do it, but it's done with two identical layers. Bottom layer 50% opacity, top layer 100% with the crop effect animated to move the mask over.
What about Cooler Master rgb fans?

The Cooler Master RGB fans are pretty good. They're similar to the Corsair RGB SP fans with a bit more customization. The CM fans can be sync'd with Asus Aurora and MSI Mystic Light software.
I like the thing you're doing with the text that shows how far the current segment has progressed... you know what I mean.

great video, have been looking at fans for a new build and the info you give is tops. Highly detailed with the pro's and con's and you put your own personality in to make it an enjoyable video. Thank you. I'm going to go with the Corsair HD120. 2 for intake and one for exhaust. Then the light node for the strips and the awesome rainbow effect. New subsriber as your videos are great. Thanks! The Node Pro itself is tiny and easy to hide away. The Node Pro LED strips look great as well, though I try to make it a habit to hide the LED strip and only use it for ambient lighting.

Thanks for the review, I heard they added sp120 rgb support to the node/commander pro via firmware update and nice to see it in action and you can set each fan at different colors. I have 3x sp120 rgb and a hue+ with 6 rgb strips, trying to decide if I should get a commander pro and 2 more sp120 rgb's or get a node pro and get rid of the hue+ (due to the recent cam incident).
Does the commander pro control non pwm fans (based on cpu temp)? I have a phanteks fan hub that can control all the fans via that method and just wondering if corsairs can do the same.
I believe the Commander Pro can, but the Node Pro doesn't currently work properly with the SP fans. You get a weird kind of flicker, which I assume will be fixed with a firmware update. On the bright side, there are LED strips available as a separate package if you decide to go with the Commander Pro over the Node.
Great great video! It would be perfect if you were to compare some AIO from Corsair with their stock fans vs all that fans that you tested, but I imagine that the results would be about the same. HD fans can be better at cooling but they don't work with iCUE (WTF?).... I just bought 5 LL140 fans and can't wait for it to come :)

Nope, Corsair doesn't currently have Magnetic Levitation RGB fans! Not yet, at least!
nil for MagLev huh, well what a shame. after all they are so brilliantly colored and with a price tag to match. what a great day it will be when Corsair incorporates Mag Lev Bearings in their signature RGB fan lineup. but all things considered I will most likely end up purchasing the Corsair as they are certainly more aesthetically pleasing !
