      if you look at 5:15 it definitely looks like the RGB fans are spinning faster. Higher RPM > lower temps...

    • @nikumeru
      @nikumeru 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The LL140 fans go up to 1300 rpm max, the H110i fans get to about 1600 rpm at 75-78C, that's what mine does on normal cpu setting in my mobo PWM config. They are cheapo noisy fans compared to almost every other fan corsair sells.

    • @natevonhartleben2737
      @natevonhartleben2737 6 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      no, only when the RGB is set to B. When you have the R mode puters temperature is increased because its faster, when you run both they compensate, so normal temps, increased speed. G makes your computer run eco-friendly, all electric turns off the gas motor, mileage on G mode varies depending on your power supply wattage.

    I have a few of these fans in my build. And I absolutely love them! You can adjust the brightness (They can get extremely bright. No need for rgb strips because they light the entire case) and they really do perform well. But I do only recommend these fans for high-end systems because it shouldn't be a top priority over necessary components.

  • @PrimevalMedia
    @PrimevalMedia 6 ปีที่แล้ว +553

    Really nice fans, but for that price, seriously a huge turn-off. Can't really justify that pricing even for that almost silent fan spinning. Damn. Do I starve or get this just to have a super quiet system.

    Sir, This is the best video about these fans so far. I just bought 3 of the LL 120s. I got them all hooked up but only one would light up. It took me a while to realize they are not plug and play, I had to tell the software that I had 3 hooked up. Frustrating to say the least as I went to bed last night, before I figured it all out, and wondered why I spent the money on the fans...
    Thank you for this review of the fans.

    • @5ch4cht3l7
      @5ch4cht3l7 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah and you definetly want to have none or every fan RGB, so you pay like 200$ just to have a better looking PC. Then you need sleeved cables etc. to fit the look and you spend another 50$. What a waste of money.

      wouldn't the HD series be better because of the superior static pressure? Or at least advertised static pressure design.

    • @WaterCoolFool

      That is correct the HD has higher static pressure which would be better for radiators. Also it will depend on the fin density of the radiator

    Yeah I know it costs a lot to custom manufacture parts for the RGB lighting, but $100 for the starter kit is insanely high price, you'd think they'd give a pack of 3 fans so people could at least have one as exhaust as well

    • @tomwarburton5125

      Enju I believe 3 120mm is the same price as 2 140mm, if that would suit you more

    • @Enju23
      @Enju23 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tom Warburton it could, it's just that 140mm can have more airflow than 120mm fans, but then again I don't got a case that shows them off that well like the NZXT S340 Elite or Corsair's all tempered glass case

      Tom Warburton Confirmed. I bought a 3 pack of 120mm HD's a couple of months ago from Best buy of all places for 96 bucks, that includes tax as well.
      The set does come with the fan controller but not the node pro. You do have a little control the on the RGB's with a simple push button remote the plugs into the fan controller.

    Yes finally a review showing the leads from the fan and how to set them up. I was thinking of getting these for my new build but was concerned if I put them on the Rad then the stock fans that came with it. The Stock fans which I am not sure which ones they give you on Corsair site but say they ran at 2400RPM under full load and these RGB run at 1/2 that speed your test is showing it doesn't really make a difference on how fast the air travels through the rad just as long as air passes through. I have a full tower case where I could put these on the top of the case going for PULL and the rad under it as I notice the top of the case more as it sits besides my desk and maybe two more in the front. I may have to abandon a 2.0 USB on my case as the Rad Pump uses one already. Thanks for the review on them

      ThaTyger u can just use Aura for the G Skill Ram,u might have to change some setting in Bios dough,not sure about that..and if you would be using fans like this then u better control it with icue software from corsair and just disable Asus Aura if you are not changing motherboard or GPU rgb’s..
      Honestly I just hope one day we can control GPU and Mobo rgb’s with icue also so u won’t need Asus Aura anymore.. I disable it after choosin colors for Mobo and GPU but since u have RAM with RGB I don’t know whats going to happen with the Asus Aura controlling the RAM rgb and icue Corsair controlling the RAM rgb at the same time..

    I am actually in the market for a RGB fan and I was debating whether to go for a Hue+ and Aer or go for a Node Pro and these fans.
    Well, now I have decided to go for the LL 140 and Node Pro, these look way to good!

    thanks dude, today i completed a build with 6 of these. i was so sad when the fans powered up but had no led light action. it had me baffled for hours until i watched this video and found that you needed to manaully add them to corsair link yourself. i dont know why corsair dont do quick youtube tutorials for this shit. Anyway thanks for this and all your content bro :)

      not to mention they are pretty shitty as actual fans, half the CFM of other fans in their size class for RGB with impractical controls. I would rather buy some NZXTs or just get some good Be Quiet! or Noctua fans and put phanteks halos on them.

    • @UnsweetIceTea
      @UnsweetIceTea 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      they are less than that for a single fan. The dual 140 pack is 100 because it comes with a $50 lighting controller without the LED strips, so probably about $30 worth of controller. an individual fan is ~$35.

      Keep in mind those fans come with a hub and controller that are also sold separately, presumably they'd be a bit cheaper just as fans alone, and if you want to control 6 of them with Corsairlink, you do need those two add-on items, but wouldn't need to buy them for any further fans you want to use. You either like RGB or you do not, that's been covered to death, everyone has their opinion. Sure, it's "rice" but it's awesome if you like it, that's the entire point, commenting about it is so last year.

    I currently have 3 ll140s and 3 ll120s along with 4 corsair rgb led strips and RGB Vengeance ram in a Corsair Air 540. I never have liked RGB and used a Fractal Define XL R2 with brown and tan noctuas for like 5 years before my new pc (old build is still running great in its big boi case). These fans and Corsair's RGB lineup have brought me over to the RGB rainbowpuke team and I have no regrets. ICUE is comprehensive and makes perfecting my system simple and easy. Only thing I will say against them is that they turn into jets at max RPM
