    This is the only review I have found that shows how the software works and the fact that you took time to explain some of the features earned you a new subscriber. Keep up the good work.

    Thank you for showing the back side of the fans. That is what I was looking for for a long time, since I have to mount them the other way.

    is it possible to change the light modes or are you stuck to just one? like for example have it on wave, and then transition to ripple, and then slow the speed, and thene speed it up? or are you just stuck to 1 static mode the entire time?

    Can you daisy chain the fans in case you might have 6 and don't want to buy another fan controller for just one fan? Also I was wondering if 120s and 140s can run off the same controller?

  • @BAJF93

    Those are the 120 mm 9 blades SP variant, aren't they? TT has also got a 120 mm AF 11 blades variant. Do you have any info if there will be a 140 mm 9 blades version? I've seen the 140 mm 11 blades fan so far.

    so what's the pressure like I have ml120 but other then hard performance they don't look flashy and don't fit into my sci-fi cyberpunk style build. will I loose real world performance if I switch from the ml120 to these ?

    Is there a way to also have a couple of LED strips and somehow coordinate the colors? For example can you connect a separate led strip on the controller or something?

    They do look very nice. I'm looking forward to their new liquid coolers that'll come with these guys - particularly the 360mm one. The logo on the block looks much nicer (imo), too

    Mate you look like Clark Kent.
    Thanks for the review. *Especially because you included the noise test.*
    (The mic was a bit close though. Not many will have their ears so close to a PC case fan. Half an arm's length to a full arm's length is more common. But they will be even quieter then.)

      Hi @John Ayre, we'll be selling individual Thermaltake Riing Plus RGB fans shortly across the world. Currently they're only available in 3-packs. :)

    • @UpgradeAddiction

      Tt took care of this one for me.. ha ha
      I'll also be keen for the individual ones because I'll be replacing my 4 x 140mm fans with Riing Plus when they are individually available.

  • @riekopo7638
    @riekopo7638 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In my opinion and the opinion of many others I've asked. The non-plus Riing fans look better than the Riing Plus fans. The clearly defined and understated RGB lighting on the perimeter of the fan is much nicer and not overblown like on the Riing Plus fans.

  • @undeny
    @undeny 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Better than the Aer fans:
    1) Light is shed on both sides of the fan.
    2) Software is more reliable and intuitive.
    3) Fans and controller box sold together. Hue+ is required and sold separately, also ridiculously enough not sold in all places even if they sell the fans.

    Do the RGB controls remain if the software is stopped or does the software needs starting on each boot to set the colours?

    • @UpgradeAddiction

      +TomBZombie it stays set how you have it. It may save on the memory of the control box so the colours are as you choose immediately as you boot.

    it looks clunky because the leds do not smooth the transition from one color to the next. I have the older Riing fans and even though it was a single ring of one color, the transitions cycled smoothly to the point that you saw all the variations of each primary color. Not seeing that here, which is what I was hoping for.
    edit- just 12 led's is what makes it look clunky because they are spaced apart. similar to what low resolution is to high resolution i suppose.
    edit2 screwit, still best fans on the market.

    The software is super buggy though. Ive got 2 controllers connected and when I switch between each controller, the interface goes nuts every now and then. When I first tried to hook up everything, my windows didn't detect the fans. The reason for that was, the USB cables weren't properly connected to the controller box because the rubber around it was too thick to push all the way through the box. I had to cut away the excess rubber around the USB port to make it work. For the price of these fans, this is unacceptable.

    thanks for the video. the 2nd most annoying part of these fans is the stickers in the middle.... i noticed in both of the videos i viewed there is no uniformity. the #1 most annoying feature is the price.. the software is not bad but there is no way in hell i would even consider paying that kind of $ for fans ? and if i were to even consider it it wouldnt be for a product with stickers on it promoting the co's products thanks but no thanks TT.

      The black blades accentuate the RING effect of the RIING fans....

    • @livinglight9915

      exactly, otherwise it would not be a ring. If you want full coverage of blades get the phantek halos and your fan of choice

  • @jonathanlaurent7544

    I must be the only one bothered by the fact that when a LED is set on RED color. We can see the LED shape through the frosted ring very distinctly.. All the other colors are nicely spread but not the red.

    I'm sure you guys have noticed that the rgb wave looks choppy . That is because there are only 12 colors in the sequence for the thermaltake rainbow wave effect. The software for other rgb fans has the fans produce all of the gradients between those 12 colors in their sequence, so it looks WAY more smooth. As a matter of fact, all of the effects that try creating the illusion that the colors are spinning suffer from this issue. They all look choppy. Whoever developed the rgb effects for the thermaltake software is a fucking simpleton. It's such a shame because these fans look amazing, perform well, have great build quality, and only use 1 cable for pwm and rgb. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS THERMALTAKE!

    don't buy. rgb software freezes your computer if you have AMD GPU and adrenaline. completely randomly. and yes, if you don't have SATA power male to molex female adapter, you can't use the controller at all. I went all in on thermaltake case and fans yesterday and already would do everything differently. the case has stupid design oversights, physically impossible to use PSU shroud SSD mounts with ATX MOBO, you can't use a 90 degree SATA cable at all. Thermaltake will never see another cent from me. commented because if I would have seen something like what I wrote above before buying these, I never would have.
