I'm happy to see people using 3DS today. I just picked it up again too and with all the great games it has, I realize I prefer playing games separately from my phone. The 3DS family aren't ginormous and so I don't mind carrying them both. There's really not a successor. I love streetpass.
@@michaellvoltare I actually do get street pass but only when I’m in school since I’ve seen one person having a 3ds out in the hallways but I don’t get street pass anywhere else really

I think it's funny how modding a 3DS has become a source for "cozy gaming content" xD I remember the times when coldbooting EmuNAND was the best we could do. Nights of working around one issue after another just to install a little sysmodul. When more exploits where discovered and more people got into homebrewing the whole scene made much more progress in a shorter time. But it was still not easy. I even had to solder a hardmod to the 3ds of a friend. This actually got me into soldering. Today it is so easy and I love it! It is so accessible and less stressfull. I think the whole process of modding a 3ds today is the easiest and most rewarding experience in console modding.
PSP is also really simple, but apart from that 3ds is definitely the easiest. The time you need to find and figure out the table of ps3 slim compatibility with permanent cfw (not hen) you are already playing on your modded 3ds I do have to say that I find PSvita modding more rewarding tho because of all the custom games and ports
My switch is just a Splatoon machine now cause i love how compact and portable the 3ds is and ofc homebrewing it made it ELITE as hell. Also, flipping open and closing the 3ds to put it into sleep mode is so much better than clicking a button and tapping another button 3 times on the switch.

I'm so glad i saw triforce heroes! I remember picking it up at a game store for £7 in rhe bargain bin, i loved that game so much. It actually made me realise it could connect to the internet, my 2DS stayed on factory settings and firmware for years. It makes me so happy that the Pretendo Network is aiming to get the servers back online for it. It's not the best zelda game but god is it my favourite. I'm so glad i modded a 3ds as it just brings back the life of so many games, playing kid icarus uprising alone was worth it.
Your video just randomly popped up on my homepage and as someone who got the 3DS on release day, this was a very easy click. This was really cool to see how far the 3DS modding scene has advanced this long after Nintendo stopped developing for the system. I thoroughly enjoyed the way you put the video together and that you were very honest with why you didn't mod it yourself. You have an excellent taste in games, Pokemon is pretty much all I play, but I'm also a big fan of puzzle games, Kirby, Zelda, and Mario. I loved your video and I'm very excited, as a small content creator myself, to see more videos like this and watch your channel grow. P.S. Don't worry about saying 3DS too many times, you did just fine. 😛Also I really like that you know that your cute and added a #cutegamer tag in your description 😉

I am having such a blast playing Sonic Advance as well. The homebrew community is pretty darn alive and the Breaking Bad fan game is as hilarious as it is neat. I have picked up the habit of watching YT on it and it's starting to replace my phone for entertainment needs on the go. I certainly recommend people getting into it if they need a small, portable device capable of running on the go (N3DS and prior) games or just feel like emulating the fifth generation of consoles and prior. I love flipnote.

I modded my 3DS a few years back and it has been lovely! I know it’s a meme of people saying how easy it is but it’s true! I’ve done all kinds of mods like many different smash mods on Wii u, I got into switch modding a little while ago, and that is a whole can of worms, but the 3DS stuff has been pretty easy to understand, and there’s so many people in the community that you’ll almost always be able to find a solution to a problem you may have! It's great to see so many channels talking about the 3ds and starting their collection in 2024. I started mine around 2022, while still small, I have some great titles and two 3ds consoles. One of them being the FE Fates N3DS XL.
I picked up a 2ds for the sole reason of modding it too. I couldn't bear to mod any of my personal 3ds systems 😅I'm not really smart enough to mod stuff lol, but it is a fairly straightforward process! My advice for others is to read a bit ahead in the written guide you follow (not a video that may be outdated!) to make sure you have all the files you need. I had that trouble, but if you have all your files it's pretty straightforward 😊
I bought a modded 3ds on Etsy in January. It was expensive but worth it! I didn’t trust myself to mod it either lol. It’s been so much fun. Never had a ds as a kid and always wanted one, so it’s cool to have one now!
Nice galaxy 3DS, I’ve been looking into getting twilight menu working on one of my 3DS consoles, but I’m paranoid about it. I think I’m just gonna go ahead and buy a cheap DSi and use that instead. Also, you’re mad cute! :D thanks for the vid dude
I recently modded my New 3DS XL and it just gave the system a completely new life! I haven't had the time to play that many games in my collection but pulling it out here and there, especially when I'm away from home, always brings a lot of fun. Really enjoyed the video and thanks for the game recommendations!
Modified mine a year ago and was the best decision of my life. I have been playing Harvest Moon DS cute and has been so fun going back to old games again.
I’m 16 about to be 17 but I had one when I was younger and broke it in half 😢 I was looking to get a lite but I might search for another 3Ds and mod it. This is bringing up memories of me playing 3Ds with my neighbor ❤
In 8-10 years the switch is gonna be this revered as well haha. I remember how new and advanced the 3DS was. I was in seventh grade. I love the passage of time
randomly found your channel in my recommended, so happy to see the 3DS coming back in full force after the shut down. I finally went and modded mine a few weeks ago and I have hardly put it down since. I always said it was/is one of my favorite consoles ever so now having the library of games I missed out on and not having to pay insane 3rd party seller prices, I can finally enjoy them. Its also been a really good way to stop using my phone for games and put that thing down more. Great video, really enjoy the chill way you went over your library!
3ds holds a special place in my heart. Modding brings so much to the system, it makes so much more sense to do it now with the the servers being shutdown in a matter of weeks.
I think a series of finding something unloved and unwanted on FBMP/eBay/wherever and going through the motions of modding it (hardware and software) would be an absolute banger for the channel, delivered in your style.
great overview of the situation, i'd love to see a game recommendations video! EDIT: i highly recommend both resident evil games on 3DS, they are both wildly different but really fun on their own terms!
getting recs for this video probably because i looked into 3ds modding started using mine for the first time since 2018, plus upgrading to a properly formatted 128gb card i'm glad people are keeping it alive this way :)
Just found your channel through your most recent video, but had to come here and comment that the special edition Animal Crossing 3DS is the best. I finally got one from Japan a few months ago and I love it.
It’s hard to Mod my 3ds i notice that’s the future of the 3ds is modding but I always liked going adventures to find a hidden gem of games. I still do and the harder it gets the better retro stores become. My Hylian 2ds XL and Black Friday 3ds where hard to find and finding them was the fun part. Hope you had fun stories getting your 3ds ❤️
My 3DS is my goto these days for DS and GBA games. I'm not the biggest fan of the actual 3DS library aside from a handful of games, so if anything I could have been happy with a DSi even. Also, I think I read somewhere that 3DS actually does not emulate DS and GBA games, it actually has the hardware on there, so the performance for those games is 1:1 with their original counterparts. Super convenient too to be able to scan QR codes to download games, well except for DS games. Really wish you could do that, but either way, love my 3DSXL!!
So far I’ve modded a 2ds and a 3ds xl, and it’s been absolutely worth it. I think the hardest part of the whole process is getting your hands on one someone doesn’t want a gazillion dollars for 😂
I've been looking for a new 3ds XL and they're just so expensive 😭 the region free ones are less expensive but I've got cartridge games I want to play :')

I kinda abandoned my old 2DS XL bc I think it was just hard to justify spending £20-£25 on these mini-game style games when far deeper things like Stardew cost the same, and it kinda took a lot of the charm/fun out of it for me. I came back to it the other week + I'm having so much fun after modding it. It's such a cute little console + I 1000% agree about how Nintendo kinda missed by charging for themes bc they add SO much charm + I love how it's like each homepage is like a glimpse into somebody's personal lil gaming world. Anyway, super cosy video + I liked ur music choice:)

14.06.24 Yesterday, after watching 3ds jailbreak again on Retro Game Corps' channel, I started to find 3ds emulation tutorial by typing "3ds emulation" because on RGC, Russ said that, he will make this related video on future but hasn't made yet. When I was searching, I found this video of yours. Your presentation made me interested. So, I thought, let me check her channel. Then, I saw every video. Then, after sometime, I suddenly subcribed your channel because you look so sweet and your presention is so nice that, I couldn't stop myself to subcribe your channel. ☺️💗 Now, I am writing this comment and have liked all the videos on your channel. 👍 Besides, your channel is kind of related to retro games, so it's normal that, I will like it because I like retro games. Anyways, good luck Sis for the future. Love from Bangladesh ❤️
It’s actually kind of hilarious how easy it is to mod it. The guide is foolproof, I have a 10 y/o sorta messed up 3ds my friend gave me and a really TERRIBLE laptop I used for school during Covid, and I managed to mod the 3ds so easily in 2 hours, it’ll take you 30 minutes if you know what you’re doing, trust me you don’t need a high end pc or 3ds lmao
I love my 3ds. The only think I wish the 3ds had was better resolution for DS games. The DSi XL is still the best official way to play DS games because it doesn't blur the image of DS games natively. The 3DS is so good in so many ways. I will never get rid of mine.
I still kick myself for not snagging more 3ds stuff when my local Walmart was getting rid of it. Galaxy xl was discounted to like 170 and they had stock of white & black 2ds xls for 100. Then i missed the $10 liquidation at the very end for some games. Ugh..
During Corona I dusted off my old PsVita and Switch and modded them, over the past 2 years Elden Ring was the only 'modern' game I played. Other than that only old games. And now I am lusting to get a 3DS. I never had one and want to play some of the Pokemon games. And modding itself is just damn fun.
I just realized some of my clips are mirrored in my last two videos so it may look a little odd sometimes - I will fix this in future videos, sorry!
I am still new to video editing too, and my lawd I make mistakes every video that I catch AFTER the fact.
I low key want to make a similar video like this? What if I get arrested though?
It was actually weird to see it mirrored and I was confused for a bit, wondering if it was a rare model or something lol.

I have a modded 2DS XL, I love the BOTW background!
Yours looks so cute, love the layout ❤
This Music in the Video and your voice made my Day so much better... thanks, really!
Folder badges are something to look into makes those plain folders looks awesome
I love my 3DS so much. I haven't modded mine, but I love picking games up every once in a while. Great video! I love the relaxing vibe of your videos.
I bought a modded 3ds on Etsy in January. It was expensive but worth it! I didn’t trust myself to mod it either lol. It’s been so much fun. Never had a ds as a kid and always wanted one, so it’s cool to have one now!
Yay I’m so glad you love it!
6:43 That app is called Checkpoint. It can be used to back up save files in games!
The 3DS is just such a magical console. I love how its making a comeback! I just started playing Pokemon Ultra Sun for the first time today! Fun video
modding your 3ds is a necessity in my opinion, good showcase!
This such a cozy and fun video! Makes me want to pickup a 3ds!
In 8-10 years the switch is gonna be this revered as well haha. I remember how new and advanced the 3DS was. I was in seventh grade. I love the passage of time
Glad I got this recommended to me. I need to play my on 3DS more. Subscribing
Thanks!!
Awesome video!!! Keep up the good content!
Thank you!
randomly found your channel in my recommended, so happy to see the 3DS coming back in full force after the shut down.
Modding a 3ds is simple, I didn't think I could do it either but it was really easy.
Awesome video I got my 3ds xl❤
3ds holds a special place in my heart. Modding brings so much to the system, it makes so much more sense to do it now with the the servers being shutdown in a matter of weeks.
I think a series of finding something unloved and unwanted on FBMP/eBay/wherever and going through the motions of modding it (hardware and software) would be an absolute banger for the channel, delivered in your style.
great overview of the situation, i'd love to see a game recommendations video!
EDIT: i highly recommend both resident evil games on 3DS, they are both wildly different but really fun on their own terms!
Ayy! Loving that Lord Huron poster in the back, meet me in the woods was the first song that I heard that got me into them.
getting recs for this video probably because i looked into 3ds modding
started using mine for the first time since 2018, plus upgrading to a properly formatted 128gb card
i'm glad people are keeping it alive this way :)
That tomodachi life price blowed my mind! I remember they used to be like 10 maybe 15 on eBay
Just found your channel through your most recent video, but had to come here and comment that the special edition Animal Crossing 3DS is the best. I finally got one from Japan a few months ago and I love it.
I love my lavender 2ds xl that I imported from Japan a few years ago. I never regretted it.
Is it region locked?
luvv itt definitely giving cozy gaming vibes :)
I know this is kinda irrelevant to the video but you’re so beautiful 😭💗💗💗
your channel is so good ! plz keep the content coming cx!
TH-cam recommend me your video ahh loved every bit of it!! I just might get myself one!
Aw thanks! I definitely recommend it :)
Panty and Stockings Custom theme is ULTIMATE
Yes. I've felt like buying one or two more of them to mod just to have them as back ups. That's how much I like this little block of joy
You have a really calming voice
So far I’ve modded a 2ds and a 3ds xl, and it’s been absolutely worth it. I think the hardest part of the whole process is getting your hands on one someone doesn’t want a gazillion dollars for 😂
Fr those prices 😭 📈
I've been looking for a new 3ds XL and they're just so expensive 😭 the region free ones are less expensive but I've got cartridge games I want to play :')
@@hellohaveagoodday you could get a new 2ds xl it’s a lot cheaper and it can obviously play DS and 3DS games it’s just very light and no 3D
@@NoMoreAnymoreBye yeah I've considered it but with the virtual boy emulator that came out recently I'm gonna have to go for a 3ds, I've always been pretty interested in the virtual boy so.
@@hellohaveagoodday i got extremely lucky and my friend practically gave me his because he hadnt played it since 2018. but id go for a new 2ds if i had to pay current prices for one.
I saw the thumbnail and was confused about button placement then realized everthing is mirrored
Sorry I didn’t realize it would look so weird lol, I will fix it in future videos!
Aw good I’m glad you’re having fun with it! Thanks for the nice comment! :)
Subbed! Thanks for the cool video!
Great taste in handheld console models, very refined.
Haha thanks!
Thanks to modding I just played SMT IV on the 3ds and its one of my favorite games already
This makes me wanna mod my 3DS! 😅
Also TH-cam recommended this to me randomly and it's nice to see a fresh face on the platform! As a pretty small content creator myself I can honestly see this channel getting pretty big in the future! You have so much potential!
Aw wow thank you so much! 🤍
@@mikyatto No problem! If you ever need help with any tips or pointers on growing your following lemme know! 😅
@@InfernoYTOfficialwill do, thank you! 🤍
youtube recommended this to me randomly, cool

Yesterday, after watching 3ds jailbreak again on Retro Game Corps' channel, I started to find 3ds emulation tutorial by typing "3ds emulation" because on RGC, Russ said that, he will make this related video on future but hasn't made yet.
Now, I am writing this comment and have liked all the videos on your channel. 👍
Besides, your channel is kind of related to retro games, so it's normal that, I will like it because I like retro games.
Anyways, good luck Sis for the future.
Love from Bangladesh ❤️
It’s actually kind of hilarious how easy it is to mod it. The guide is foolproof, I have a 10 y/o sorta messed up 3ds my friend gave me and a really TERRIBLE laptop I used for school during Covid, and I managed to mod the 3ds so easily in 2 hours, it’ll take you 30 minutes if you know what you’re doing, trust me you don’t need a high end pc or 3ds lmao
the video quality is so nice, good job!
Thanks!!
I be browsing themes more than playing any games 🤣
I love my 3ds. The only think I wish the 3ds had was better resolution for DS games. The DSi XL is still the best official way to play DS games because it doesn't blur the image of DS games natively. The 3DS is so good in so many ways. I will never get rid of mine.
I know it is kinda about console. but i cant hold myself back from saying - you have such warm voice and gorgeous face...omfg
Modding my 3DS is one of the best decisions I've ever made - unbelievable bit of kit
3ds was an excellent console in its time
I still kick myself for not snagging more 3ds stuff when my local Walmart was getting rid of it. Galaxy xl was discounted to like 170 and they had stock of white & black 2ds xls for 100. Then i missed the $10 liquidation at the very end for some games. Ugh..
Ugh ikr 😖
Same
Cool game collection
I love the 3ds render ...its better than Nintendo switch....I play pokemon on it...but not feeli as I play on 3Ds
*feel
I don’t know how I stumbled upon your channel, but I love hearing you talk about the things you enjoy. Best of luck with your future vids! Subscribed
Aw thank you! 🤍
