I think walang nabanggit ang other reviewers because: * Power distribution difference is no longer far off due to the advances in technology. And for this model, it doesn't matter as it is a mild hybrid car. It will turn your engine off anytime it can anyway so even if you slap on a 4 cylinder there, it won't be more "responsive" as it will have to wait to switch from the EMS to the gasoline engine. Maghihintay ka lang naman din, why improve the response by 0.5 sec (just throwing some numbers) if may delay naman talaga since it's switching from EMS to gas engine. * Impact of the 3 cylinder engine is muted to the excellent NVH and engine mount of the car. I own an Okavango and my passengers don't even notice when the car switches from the EMS back to the gasoline engine. Only me as a driver noticed and it's because the tachometer goes down to 0. * Torsion beam is also offered by other brands. You will have to buy the "premium" variants. At this price point, they're all torsion beams. Lower pa nga quality kasi drum brakes ibibigay sayo. This car has all disc brakes. * Most cars on the market are FWD. RWD is considered older. Volvo are all either FWD or AWD as they value safety.

Good review and feedback sir Levi. When I was looking for car last May 2021, this Geely was on my top 3. It has automotive electronic parts (ICs) also that is done my American company; Okavango has all amenities you need. I almost bought this - ended up with am Everest coz of the feel, power and diesel plus the huge discount I got tht time.
Your observation and impressions of this car is spot on. At this point, only time will tell how this vehicle will truly perform. If it can stand the test of time ika nga... Otherwise, this is a really good car considering what it offers at its price point... compared to its competitors.

Para sa mga budget conscious pwede na ang car na ito pero para sa akin hindi pa hinog ang product. Meron ako napanood na vlog, ginamit nya sa offroad ng Mt. Balagbag yun Azkarra nya kasi AWD ito. Then mid way may overheating warning lights na lumabas so pinahinga nya muna ang engine bago sya nagtuloy. I’ve never experienced this to any japanese SUV or even sedan. It only shows na hindi pa matured ang Geely pero pwede pa mag improve.
Hi! 1. Kaya maingay ang 3 cylinder na yan kasi gasoline direct injection po yan, may high pressure fuel pump po. Mavibrate ang 3 cylinder kasi normal na Hindi balance ang engine ng 3 cylinder. Wala yan sa firing order. (Search for primary and secondary engine balance). Kaya nga po may balancer yan. Even 4 cylinders are not inherently balance. 2. Kaya 3 cylinder ang ginagamit ngayon kasi it's more compact and you can fit the engine into many configurations. Size and weight reduction. Friction?? Maybe, but loosing one cylinder from a 4 bangger nag add ka naman ng mga balancer sa 3 cyl, added friction and loss yun. Ty

Kung marami ako pera and magpapalit palit ako ng sasakyan every 5 years or less i will certainly consider itong geely okavango napakagandang 7 seater. In the end it all boils down sa durability and parts availability, dahil bago pa lang ang geely hindi pa natin masasabi sa ngayon kung durable siya kasi wala pa naman may ari ng geely sa pilipinas ang nakapag experience owning ng sasakyan na ito for 5 years or more karamihan ng kanilang comments is mga nasa 2 or 3 years pa lang of owning so hindi pa natin masasabi yan for certain kung durable siya then yung sa availability ng parts niya dahil bago pa lang ang geely sa casa ka lang makakabili which is mahal and based sa comments ng mga geely owners na nababasa ko matagal daw dumating unlike sa mga japanese brands na pwede ka bumili kahit sa mga auto supply stores like mga toyota, mitsubishi etc kahit nga sa shopee o lazada meron eh. So sana ma improve ito ng geely kasi nagagandahan ako sa mga sasakyan nila.
If you like comfort go for terra & kung gusto mo naman ng power go for montero. Pero much better na itest drive mo para malaman mo talaga ang difference nilang dalawa. Pero ako im happy with my new terra

i think un delay sa low rpm is about sa transmission nya pansin ko din un sa coolray kya medyo mahina arangkada nya pero once kumagat na un power super lakas nya. but overall very good si okavango.. okavango owner here for 6months
For me. Halos lahat ng sasakyan na gawa ngayon mababa na ang durability. Sa availability na lang siguro ng mga pyesa magkakatalo. Para sa akin lang naman.

Euro brakes kasi sir. Ang sequence usually nun is nosedive muna yung harap, kuha ng air resistance, then kagat yung brakes. If you push down hard enough naman kakagat parin agad. I came from a Japanese made car, nag alala din ako nung una. Pero sanayan lang. And it's more comfortable pag nasanay ka.

Its very different because they are different in design. Okavango is front wheel drive and PPV while Montero is rear wheel drive and is a PPV. Okavango is smooth because it has gasoline engine and designed for the family. Montero is more of a sporty and rugged type

If you are more on durability, go for Montero because it’s a newer model. Subok na rin ang Montero sa tibay. A 2012 Pajero is also good but it’s too old already, but it’s also reliable. Mitsubishi has stopped production of Pajero already.

Honestly, kadalasan ng mejo may edad na nakakakita or nakakapag test drive ng mga ganitong sasakyan especially geely cars, sarado na ang isip dahil nga chinese car at bago s market at japanese car standard ang nakasanayan. Even sa braking system nya mukhang sa japanese cars lang sanay si sir hehe. Tama ka sir dapat makasabay na tayo bagong trend at new innovations at magbigay ng chance sa ibang brands. Tama na ang old school mindset at lumang nakasanayan hehe.
Napansin ko din nga yun. Japanese brakes ang standard ni Sir, unlike in this vehicle na European based. Its just the issue of "getting used to" tayong mga Pilipino. Masyado na tayong nasamantala ng mga old manufacturers sa sistema ng inooffer nila. Parang naging modular na mga bagong sasakyan na inilalabas nila, kung gusto mo ng ganito may additional na bayad unlike sa mga bagong players in the market na standard na ang ibang techs. Nagiging stigma na lang sa tao na hindi i'accept yung bago because of colonial mentality. But still, spot on naman ang review ni Sir but we still need to agree to disagree on some points kasi its his opinion. Keep it up po Sir Levi.

I think walang nabanggit ang other reviewers because:
* Power distribution difference is no longer far off due to the advances in technology. And for this model, it doesn't matter as it is a mild hybrid car. It will turn your engine off anytime it can anyway so even if you slap on a 4 cylinder there, it won't be more "responsive" as it will have to wait to switch from the EMS to the gasoline engine. Maghihintay ka lang naman din, why improve the response by 0.5 sec (just throwing some numbers) if may delay naman talaga since it's switching from EMS to gas engine.
* Impact of the 3 cylinder engine is muted to the excellent NVH and engine mount of the car. I own an Okavango and my passengers don't even notice when the car switches from the EMS back to the gasoline engine. Only me as a driver noticed and it's because the tachometer goes down to 0.
* Torsion beam is also offered by other brands. You will have to buy the "premium" variants. At this price point, they're all torsion beams. Lower pa nga quality kasi drum brakes ibibigay sayo. This car has all disc brakes.
* Most cars on the market are FWD. RWD is considered older. Volvo are all either FWD or AWD as they value safety.

Good review and feedback sir Levi. When I was looking for car last May 2021, this Geely was on my top 3. It has automotive electronic parts (ICs) also that is done my American company; Okavango has all amenities you need. I almost bought this - ended up with am Everest coz of the feel, power and diesel plus the huge discount I got tht time.

Para sa mga budget conscious pwede na ang car na ito pero para sa akin hindi pa hinog ang product. Meron ako napanood na vlog, ginamit nya sa offroad ng Mt. Balagbag yun Azkarra nya kasi AWD ito. Then mid way may overheating warning lights na lumabas so pinahinga nya muna ang engine bago sya nagtuloy. I’ve never experienced this to any japanese SUV or even sedan. It only shows na hindi pa matured ang Geely pero pwede pa mag improve.

1. Kaya maingay ang 3 cylinder na yan kasi gasoline direct injection po yan, may high pressure fuel pump po. Mavibrate ang 3 cylinder kasi normal na Hindi balance ang engine ng 3 cylinder. Wala yan sa firing order. (Search for primary and secondary engine balance). Kaya nga po may balancer yan. Even 4 cylinders are not inherently balance.
2. Kaya 3 cylinder ang ginagamit ngayon kasi it's more compact and you can fit the engine into many configurations. Size and weight reduction.
Friction?? Maybe, but loosing one cylinder from a 4 bangger nag add ka naman ng mga balancer sa 3 cyl, added friction and loss yun.

Kung marami ako pera and magpapalit palit ako ng sasakyan every 5 years or less i will certainly consider itong geely okavango napakagandang 7 seater. In the end it all boils down sa durability and parts availability, dahil bago pa lang ang geely hindi pa natin masasabi sa ngayon kung durable siya kasi wala pa naman may ari ng geely sa pilipinas ang nakapag experience owning ng sasakyan na ito for 5 years or more karamihan ng kanilang comments is mga nasa 2 or 3 years pa lang of owning so hindi pa natin masasabi yan for certain kung durable siya then yung sa availability ng parts niya dahil bago pa lang ang geely sa casa ka lang makakabili which is mahal and based sa comments ng mga geely owners na nababasa ko matagal daw dumating unlike sa mga japanese brands na pwede ka bumili kahit sa mga auto supply stores like mga toyota, mitsubishi etc kahit nga sa shopee o lazada meron eh. So sana ma improve ito ng geely kasi nagagandahan ako sa mga sasakyan nila.

Euro brakes kasi sir. Ang sequence usually nun is nosedive muna yung harap, kuha ng air resistance, then kagat yung brakes. If you push down hard enough naman kakagat parin agad. I came from a Japanese made car, nag alala din ako nung una. Pero sanayan lang. And it's more comfortable pag nasanay ka.
Euro brakes...hahaha...test drive ka BMW or Benz. Ganun din kahit AUDI...comfort kasi purpose pra d nabibigla ung passenger mu...pero pag diniin mo kagat nmn sya...

Its very different because they are different in design. Okavango is front wheel drive and PPV while Montero is rear wheel drive and is a PPV. Okavango is smooth because it has gasoline engine and designed for the family. Montero is more of a sporty and rugged type

If you are more on durability, go for Montero because it’s a newer model. Subok na rin ang Montero sa tibay. A 2012 Pajero is also good but it’s too old already, but it’s also reliable. Mitsubishi has stopped production of Pajero already.
Try to look for a Montero GLS AT 2WD. Onting onti nalang baka makakita ka 1.5m

I disagree na hirap ang big cars especially SUV pag manual, for you po siguro ganun ang tingin niyo na hirap ang sasakyan kay ang AT umaabot na sa 8 gears pero ang AT nga hindi din perfect ang shifting may delay pa. Sa city agree ako perfect ang AT kay nakakapagod talaga ang MT sa ganun na scenario pero pag probinsya maslalo na bukid kay MT is the most preferred parin. Tsaka sa comment niyo po na downhill and uphill malaki ang possibility masunog clutch lining, mas better nga mag engine break pag manual pag going downhill hindi sunog ang break pads mo. My Okavango is already 1 year and I never had a single problem. Also iho, do your research. You’ll find out that Geely is basically Volvo. That alone already speaks about their durability and reliability.

Honestly, kadalasan ng mejo may edad na nakakakita or nakakapag test drive ng mga ganitong sasakyan especially geely cars, sarado na ang isip dahil nga chinese car at bago s market at japanese car standard ang nakasanayan. Even sa braking system nya mukhang sa japanese cars lang sanay si sir hehe. Tama ka sir dapat makasabay na tayo bagong trend at new innovations at magbigay ng chance sa ibang brands. Tama na ang old school mindset at lumang nakasanayan hehe.
Napansin ko din nga yun. Japanese brakes ang standard ni Sir, unlike in this vehicle na European based. Its just the issue of "getting used to" tayong mga Pilipino. Masyado na tayong nasamantala ng mga old manufacturers sa sistema ng inooffer nila. Parang naging modular na mga bagong sasakyan na inilalabas nila, kung gusto mo ng ganito may additional na bayad unlike sa mga bagong players in the market na standard na ang ibang techs. Nagiging stigma na lang sa tao na hindi i'accept yung bago because of colonial mentality. But still, spot on naman ang review ni Sir but we still need to agree to disagree on some points kasi its his opinion. Keep it up po Sir Levi.
