My impressions on the Geely Azkarra

- I visited a Geely dealership to take a look at the #Geely Azkarra. I am surprised at the quality of the interior. I just don’t know if it will last like the Japanese SUV’s. It’s actually made in China but looks good.
Thank you very much Sir for the review of this azkarra I've been a follower of all your reviews.I like the feature of sunroof I can use prequent because I live in province likewise its EMS its really a benefit to fuel.I have Civic already so I'll try other brand
Compared sa mga namention na ka price range nya with competitors, Azkarra has the most luxurious interior and features so compared sa mga yun Azkarra would be the best option.

If u make comparison I hope it be apple-to-apple. In the first place its 4x4 and hybrid while Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu and Montero mentioned are not 4x4 and hybrid only the Subaru is AWD and yet not hybrid. Thanks for the beautiful review.
And there’s an all new model coming lots of improvement in design and features.

Swerte ung pinsan ko 1.5m+ lang nabili niya ung Geely Azkarra TOTL AWD last year December. Na drive kona at very impressed ako sa quality ng interior sa totoo lang at ung apple carplay at android auto okay naman wala since may phone mirror din siya at may Infotainment mod naman pag gusto mo yan. Engine performance sobrang approve ko itong volvo engine kahit 3 cylinder pero ang smooth. Capable din siya offroad pag malaman mo limits niya since daan papunta sa bahay ng pinsan ko sobrang putik at may farm pa walang problema. Almost 1 year na unit niya no issues pero nabasag lang tail light niya dahil sa nalaglag nga niyong sa parking area pero maliit naman so no issue kapag matagal umabot parts.
I always appreciate your reviews sir. :D For the azkarra it's very luxurious when it comes to design and specifications but for me prang msyado mataas ang price value nya. i am not underestimating the brand pero mas mggng mganda sana sales nila kung ibinaba nila prices ng mga cars nila yung tipong mapapa 'I'd rather have this than the others" kasi mura na luxurious type cars pa.. yung ganyan sana kaso sa prices nila medyo mapapa isip kana tlga. For me? i'd rather go with Montero 4x2 GLS for that price. or the FORD Territiry for 1.3M crossover. or i'd rather choose the okavango over this. Sana sa price na ganyan eh nka 7 seaters na sana. But again, that's just me. :D Thanks again sir for another informative review.

Ang ganda ng comprehensive review mo, Levi! Pwede mo test drive yung Azkarra ko if you want. 😁 After 8+ months, no regrets kahit hindi pa modified ang console (awesome daw pag mod). Wala ako masabi sa ride feel nito at this price, the best sa mga natest drive ko. Wala ka rin makikita na 4wd at this price and with all the luxurious amenities it offers. Yung XV siguro pinakamalapit pero if you compare, sa akin, lamang ang Azkarra. No issues so far sa parts availability (sana wala ako maging problem dyan). You forgot to mention, i think, yung mababang preventive maintenance costs nito compared sa ibang SUV. Keep it up, Levi.

Mas gusto ko itong Geely Azkarra parang bang kung titingnan mo sa labas parang syang kubo pero pag pasok mo sa loob mansion pala, hindi katulad ng iba.. sa labas parang mansion pagpasok mo kubo.

anyone have information abou t the reliability of the EMS system in longterm?.....I see tht Geely is not incoporating thi EMS system on the new models like Geely tugella or Askarra L so anyone knows if the brand is leaving this tech behind?

Yung mga sasakyan ngayon na mga bagong usbong na brand dinadala kayo sa maganda look at interior design pero bagsak pala sa durability mapupukaw nila ang mata mo pero hindi nila mapupukaw ang performace
If you are referring to the Japanese brands durability I would say they are still using the old engines and not so efficient anymore. Lately they are coming up with new gasoline hybrid and turbo models. Chinese brands has been improving in terms of technology since many European brands has accepted Chinese car manufacturer as their partners. Time will tell if the new engines are durable or not. Smaller Engine displacement with turbo is now the trend.

Nice interior and very modern. But i go for ride height same price with this. Kasi wala na tayong choice sa baha sa Pinas. Need tall vehicles.

If I'm not mistaken almost all china made cars e walang car apple play and android as well. Side profile po nia e parang ford territory. I will go for 2023 Montero GLS or Mazda BT-50 4x4...

Every bit of the cabin feels expensive, even the engine has very good acceleration. My only complain is that it shuts down the aircon kapag naka full stop ka sa traffic. Nagiging blower nalang sia.
And then when i looked at the price point halos ka presyo na sia ng wildtrack and entry level midsize ppv suv.
So buying an azkarra realy is like an acquired taste.
Yong tipong you dont include in the equation if sulit ba sia sa 1.7 milion more or less.
Aircon Compressor will automatically turnoff when at full stop since this is a feature of all mild hybrid. Only fan is ON.
Parang kaparehas ng Ford Territory..nakita ko narin yan actual..kulay blue....maganda rin

may problem back camera nang azkarra ko e 1 yr pa lang. tapos ang parts 2-3months of waiting
Muntik nako mapakuha nyan sir Levi, like I already spoke with the agent na close friend pa man din sakin. Napaka luxurious kc ng loob nya and ang ganda ng dashboard european ang look and feel talaga. But at the end the day, iisipin m kc minsan ung value nung sasakyan prang, sa resell value talo ka but only if may plan kang ibenta ung sasakyan m after a certain years. Saka tama kayo ung reliability nya rin kc bago pa sya sa market eh. And pyesa n rin as well. But it is really a good contender sa mga counter parts nya. I really almost bought one last year nov.
Hindi pa nga nabibili, pagbebenta na agad ang iniisip. Kaya ang mga pinoy ayaw tanggalin ang plastic sa kotse at appliances kasi para mabenta. Hindi tuloy maenjoy ng ayos ang gamit

Nsa tao po yan depende sa future plan m or kung marami kaba na kino consider bago ka kumuna ng sasakyan. Pero sa kagaya ko sakin kasi na may future plan n ibenta ung sasakyan once na may magustuhan na bagong lalabas, mahalaga samin ung resell value. Pra atleast may extra pera pako pandagdag kung mag papalit po ako.

Totoo yan minsan talaga na sa sacrifice ung gusto natin vs ung need natin bilhin based sa goal natin. Sabi nga nila db, minsan iba ung gusto ntin sa kailangan natin. Well sa case ko naman nabili ko pa rin naman ung gusto ko its "ford everest 2022 titanium" medyo nag kakarera sila ni Azkarra sa mata ko kung ano sa dalawa hahaha. kso you cannot have it all talaga eh. Tagal ko pinag pilian yan at iba pang sasakyan like 2 to 3 years. Abang ipon abang uli, ayun hahahaha. But i agree with you rin naman. Kso kapag hawak m na pera lalot pinag hirapan m mahirap din sabihin yan eh kc you will really look for the good value for money and kailangan m rin mag isip ng advance ano ba mapapala ko dito in the future? ma i a upgrade ko ba to, bodykits, accessories and ano meron to na wala ang iba vice versa . And that is also the reason why we are here, watching car reviews and comparison. To know whats best fit for your goal, plan and criteria na hinahanap m. I cannot claim din syempre na ito ung pinaka perfect na steps pra sa lahat but ito ung pinaka closest sa goal ko eh. And there is no perfect decision rin syempre lahat naman ng sasakyan may flaws.

for P1.7M? i rather buy the montero or the the toyota fortuner at about the same price and assured of a very good re-sale value..but if azkarra will be sold at P1.5M i will buy it..but in fairness, azkarra is a good car with luxurious amenities and features..

Ganda talaga ng Geely. Reliability nalang talaga ang big question at yung mga parts.
Ilang years ba bago ma sabi na reliable? For me parts lng tlga problem.
Ang tanong e yung quality baka mahina klase mga bakal na ginamit dyan,hindi katulad ng mga Japanese car subok na,lalo satin bahain at lubak lubak baka mabulok kagad ang pang ilalim.
Based on my experience thru the years. All brands of cars before tend to go rusty. But this past decades all brands has improved. Rust is a thing of the past now.

Tama ka sir levi, ung problem tlga is parts availability compared mo sa geely coolray na marami na dito sa pinas.
Dati ko na rin tinitignan etong geely azkarra kasi ang class tlga ng itsura.
Ung problem lang at siguro un ung dpat tignan ng geely is parts availability mismo sa casa nila at xempre ung mga customer communication siguro na dapat kahit 5 year na sayo e madali mo silang tawagan at matulungan ka sa kanilang repair.
Grbe kasi ung taas ng price nya ngayon.
Prang gusto mo na lang bumili ng honda hrv turbo. Or kaya ung toyota corolla cross.
Isa din ung ford everest trend na swak dyan sa budget na yan.

Ford cars are affordable. But service maintenance costs will kill you.

Ganun din sa toyota ng friend ko. Casa will kill you tlga.
Difference lang. Mas mura at mas marami tlga parts ng toyota. Un lang tlga binubudget ka nila sa features and comfort.
Haiz.. actually mas na impress pa ako sa service ng mitsubishi with my xpander. Fear ko lang kasi medyo hindi na nagiging aggressive ang mitsubishi motors sa pinas na.
@@kdient21 if you have Toyota try mo balintawak nice service. I don’t have my cars maintained outside other than casa. Mostly new cars puro electrónics na. They need device just to make diagnosis. Lately I found European cars are very affordable sa PMS. Don’t know Lang sa parts of Meron masira after 5 years.
@@gc1653 Ty sir actually un ang hindrance sa akin when it comes to toyota because of the issues inside their casa. Pero kung maganda pala service dyan, I would gladly sell my ford ranger xlt and buy Toyota fortune q vs innova G then modify later.
@@kdient21 that’s the only casa na good service. Yun iba mayabang. We only owned 1 unit Toyota (RAV4). I never bought a Honda. Mayabang din kasi. Suzuki Alabang ok din service. European car brands nice service. But of course their vehicle is expensive.
Geely brand also good.. un coolray lng ang mas mababa M1.2 plus.. ok n skin un coolray😅❤

Volvo has made odd numbered engines for the longest time and it didn't really have any problems whatsoever. So I really don't see the issue with it being a 3 cylinder. We can barely hear or feel any rattle or vibrations with our Okavango.
Nissan Terra or Isuzu Mux nalang. Wala sa option ko yung mga chinese car. Hehe!

Prefer way more Japanese brands! And the Toyota Innova’s are proudly assembled by awesome Filipinos in the Philippines. You get proven Japanese quality (way more proven the anything from China)Excellent build quality. If you don’t want Japanese then go Korean! Proven too!
This is just like what our grandfather time when Japanese products were cheap and low quality. They have come a long way. Now we see Chinese products penetrating and competing head on with Japanese and Koreans. Same thinking that Chinese made are cheap and easily broken.

@@lantaw1590 yes. Japanese brands are pricing out of the market lately. Checkout European brands they are fully loaded and price difference is not that big. More luxurious interior. They are built heavier. Very nice handling on highways. Cannot compare with jap cars.

If you guys want good resale value. Then I suggest stick to TOYOTA or Honda. Those brands are selling at a premium without nice features. Regarding durability and parts availability that is a big question mark. It really depends on what parts was broken. And usually famous brands has more available parts anywhere. But are you sure you are buying the real one? Or just OEM? How will you know?
That's why I don't buy used Toyota or Honda.. Coz I know it's overpriced. People but with brands. I know all used cars share same maintenance cost and inconvenience.

no to CVT, that is the reason why many are turned off by Ford territory, bagay lang ang CVT for lighter cars like sedans, not for cars that are close to 2 tons,

montero sucks balls. azkarra was built under a volvo platform. interiors, features and ride comfort, nothing comes close.

I could only find 5 star NCAP Safety rating for Geely Azkarra and Coolray.
Horror crash tests for Geely that I saw is dated from 2010.

Hehehe. I think many are mistaken regarding parts availability specially those found in banawe or anywhere else. Many parts outside dealers are OEM now. That’s why you will find Toyota parts very affordable. Unlike European brands they tend to be expensive since many has no OEM parts available in the secondary market.
If I add 1 Person that's 90 Kilos 2nd person that's 85 Kilos and the other 3 people are 70 Kilos and 2 other ladies that are 100 kilos Driver is 180 lbs and the Last Person is same 180LBS ... being that the AZKARRA is 1.5L at 3 Cylinders have you tested the Powertrain? Engine? Torque? Because I believe this AZKARRA is UNDER POWER .. it will work hard going up hill with this type of weight ... especially in TANAY RIZAL or BAGUIO especially and other area's that require going up and going down.
The Features are fancy ... we're not paying for the Luxury of FANCY DANCY looks we're buying a reliable MID size or MID 4x4 and hoping this isn't a GIMMICK due to the specifications of a possible UNDER POWER SUV? Cane we have a test of those possible weights and test it going up hill down hill and going up hill over taking another car ? Is it possible ? Testing The :
