- This video is about my impressions for the #Geely Okavango which has been released in the Philippine market last. It will tackle only the physical observations about its design and build quality.

Good day Sir! Geely Okavango Urban or Urban Plus is the best vehicle to buy for most tech at an affordable price. Plus it's selling like hotcakes. I'm very impressed with that Gelly is trying to achieve. I just wish they had added more with their new N95 Cabin Filter feature inside the vehicle. :D
kahit ano pa car brand na binili mo kung hindi mo aalagaan hndi rin tatagal. try mo nga 5yrs walang PMS kotse mo haha, nasa mayari yan dahil hndi lahat ng tao "maalaga" sa gamit.
wag nyo ng siraan ang ibang brands, madami bibili nyan sa features at presyo.. ngayon if naka 30K units sold yan sa pinas dadami parts nyan kahit surplus din so maintenance nyan magiging budget friendly and easy.

Going 6 months with my Okavango Urban. Easy breezy lang sa long drives with the fam. Sobrang satisfied sa performance. :D
Paps musta fuel consump ng oka? Prang mas gusto ko to kesa sa coolray eh
Would you recommend Urban over Urban +? Hows the fuel economy po?
talas ng mata nyo sir.. yes manipis ang paint ni Geely. sa coolray lang ilang owners nagkaron ng tuklap sa unit. sa features at engine output talaga panalo si Geely sulit.
I am very very impressed with geely
190 hp is the combined power from its engine and small electric motor since this is a mild hybrid system..the engine only produces 177 hp..

you are right sir almost all are made in china but the materials/hardware are not made china like iphone etc. still my qualm with geely is durability even though it owns volvo i think volvo will not share all their technology
They own Volvo in China. they have cooperation agreement

The engine is actually coengineered with volvo. Same with the design concept.

So it feels like it didn’t push through.
Volvo was very happy to be taken away from Ford.

Front wheel drive config po para mas maluwag yung loob. Ang test po dito yung mga incline na siko lalo na pag loaded. More power sir!

Yung gasolina lang ang major issue dito kasi premium gas recommended gamitin pero pwedi din unleaded. Matipid pa din sya kumpara sa ibang gas na same class nito. Yung mags minor issue hinde masyado maganda hinde bagay pero kung meron ka extra money no issue na ito. 2nd minor issue ay wala sya android / apple carplay pero balita ko pwedi naman sya lagyan pero sa labas na. Pero kung diesel lang gamit nito walang duda talo na innova nito kasi sobra ganda nya talaga at hitech. Ito minsan ginagamit namin pag kasama ko pinsan ko na bumili nito last year. 👍👌👏.....Ang may ari ng Volvo, Proton (Malaysia), Lotus (Sports Car), Polestar (Electric Car), Linc and Co. ( Electric Car) ay ilan lang sa car company manufacturer na pag aari ng Geely company. Geely din ang my pinaka malaking share of stock sa Mercedes Benz. So far ni isa wala pa na recall na product nila.
My highest is 50km/L. Nung una akala ko malakas sa gas. But it's smart coasting feature pag namaster mo. Super tipid sa gas tho maliit tank nya but it's ok. It's like driving big sedan plus space is humongous

Disagree. If you know mechanical engineering, mas alam mo na less moving parts.. less chances of failure.
Like for example, nung umalis tayo from spinning hard drives to solid states, mas naging reliable ang storage technology. Same with these cars.
Kung dating valves and switches tapos ngayon electronic na, mas mababa chance of failure kasi di na siya mechanical movement.
S Presso is a good basic car. I suggest you get that

Sir sa parts po meron ba availability? Pag ma bangga may available ba stocks ng bumper? Radiator? Headlight? Etc. Kung wala ganu katagal ang dating ng parts? Ganu katagal ko di magagamit kung sakali maaksidente?
I think may issue pa sila sa mga collision parts, medyo matagal yata based on mga nababasa ko

Oo marami ngang tech, kaso wala namang oil filter available sa mga dealers. Magpapa change oil sana ako this month eh. Pano pa if you need parts...
Yan lang problem minsan sa ganyan hindi katulad ng Japanese or korean cars kahit sa banawe meron pero soon meron narin yan
Siguro matatagalan pa yan baka umabot pa ng dekada bgo mag labas ng parts outside ng dealer, sympre malulugi yang geely or other chinese car.

Walang oil filter avail sa mga dealers? Nagpapatawa ba kayo sir. Dame nag papapms ngyon matic ksma change oil filter.
100% that has a compatible oil filter available sa anong motorparts diyan sa tabi2x..
Ang pyesa ba nito sir available na Jan sa pinas or abroad pa dn mag oorder

My neighbor has this okavango, they have long trip out of town then this car broke down the alternator almost 3 mos pa lang yung car, sympre stress kasi considering bago yung kotse.
Sad naman, the reliability is still suspect for me
@@ridewithlevi6418 yes sir reliable pa rin talaga Japanese kinoconsider ko rin sana ito kung value for money talaga, pero nakaka turn off.
Please check other countries kung saan sila nauna mabenta before posting. Do a little research first rather than post what you feel about it. May data naman available you just need to look. Will lend you more credibility in the long run. All brands have their lemons.

NOT TRUE, coming from an actual Okavango owner. If you've really driven this car, you will know that both the infotainment display and instrument cluster are responsive.

Yes. Auto wiler adaptive headlight. Auto low beam sya pag my kasalubong then auto high beam pag madilim buong kalsada kita mo and it can focus on corner na walang ilaw. Take note auto matic yun. 360 is the highest quality I've seen in market.
In short you need it for your comfort. That's what the value of the car is compare to it's competitor
Nasa iyo naman yun kung gusto mo tech or hindi. Pag techie ka gusto mo techie din kotse mo. Pwede naman owner type jeep if you want to go from point A to point B din naman.

Sa laki ng market sa China, the issue of this vehicle being “Made in China” should logically be irrelevant na. The thing is, ang hirap maghanap ng reviews ng mga China made vehicles coming mismo from the Chinese market kaya di matanggal ang stigma. 🤣

Kung sa makina ka papatong, merong vibration pero kunting kunti lang ang difference sa 4-cylinder engine. Kung nasa loob ka naman ng okavango, mas tahimik siya compared sa ibang 4-cylinder cars.
We have a camry, corolla cross hybrid, fortuner, subaru levorg, subaru xv, fortuner and okavango. Yung tahimik and vibration ng okavango, nasa camry levels. Corolla Cross Hybrid pinakatahimik then Camry and Okavango pantay lang, then our subaru gas cars tapos yung mga diesel cars.
Sorry but I disagree. Mas smooth pa nga to sa 4 cylinder ng mga Japanese cars that I’ve owned TBH. Kaya nakakagulat.
Volvo also uses 3 cylinders. Iba na technology ng 3 cylinders ngayon. You should read about it.
Typical old fashioned thinking. Sobrang laki na ng improvements in terms of technologies ngyon. Baka magtaka ka marami sa euro cars are using odd numbered cylinders like 3 and 5 na ssbhin niyo na malakas vibration. 😂

I You buy something for a certain reason naman. If ang reason mo is to resell your car, then go for Montero/ fortuner/ but if you are looking for tech na wala sa ibang cars go for Geely.

we have fortuner and okavaggo sa bahay, Yung fortuner, asa grahe nalang lage hehe. spcae wise mas maluwag sya sa fortuner and montero, the comfort is superb as well.
Di ko alam kung resale value agad nasa isip. In my own preference i will drive the car bec of the value and comfort in brings to my family. Especially the price.

People buy it for its features. Kung 1st car better buy a reliable vehicle, for a 2nd car this is the best in its class

It's literally an MPV, Montero is an SUV. You buy something for a certain reason naman. If ang reason mo is to resell your car, then go for Montero but if you are looking for tech na wala sa ibang cars go for Geely.

Wala pumipilit sayo brad. Mag montero ka na. Gora! Pag resale value naman, poor choice ang Montero. Bumili ka na lang ng lupa. Sigurado good investment yun. Really, some people think that cars are an investment. Buy gold or land. Yun ang investment. I buy cars to ride it and dispose of it. It's a consumable asset.
