Scott I hear you in the commentary box during the US open last week. It was great to hear your insights. I think the last time I heard you commenting was some open pocket and Corey was in the booth with you and we were like Corey why would you play all those wild shots.ahhaha.
A what's in your bag interview turned into on of the most fascinating interviews I've ever seen. Great work Karl and cheers to Scott for being such a legend
I sat right next to Scott at Griff’s 2023 BCA Vegas. He was trying to get De Luna to gamble one pocket. De Luna said no , Scott turns around and says “ what ? Are they winning all the tournaments now they don’t have to gamble?” I was lmaf. Thank you Karl for the interview.
This was amazing! To hear some of the history of US billiards, that cue is to die for!!! Great interview...you should do a round table interview of a few of the older greats in our sport hearing the old road stories...loved this
Nice throwback mention to Bonus Ball. IMO Scott and JJ were the best 2 coaches, and now they end up being great commentators. Scott would probably make a great Mosconi Cup coach too.
Awesome interview... Love his idiosyncrasies, proves that players are nuts and we'll admit to it 😉 Would really love to see deep dives like this more!!
Hey Karl. And for anyone else who wanted to know, the pin on his playing cue is G10 Micarta. It’s a military grade equipment that gets used for knife scales for SF issues. It will always be colder than your hand on a hot day and warmer than your hand on a cold day. Amazing stuff! Had no idea it could be used for cue pins. Would love to see how that feels!
I was there . Never forget it. Those where the days. Also know as Dippy Dave. Anyone wanting to improve their 1 pocket game should watch Scott's Power One Pocket videos..
I remember that Dippy Dave match. I also remember all the other top players playing that high spot, high stakes game. It was a great time in pool for pool players and for the fans.
Searing is a super genius. And he makes amazing coffee too. His shafts, tips, cues are sooooo good. Great video. Scott you always have action-windows open😂. ❤ Fatboy 💪
I don't know nor have met Scott in person, but his way of speaking and energy makes me feel very comfortable. He seems so real. He doesn't hold back. I like that. Such a good auora in this video
Had a totally wrong opinion and feeling about this guy, although never hear him talk before! Best bag interview so far and enormous surprise on how he acts!
Too bad there's only a "like" option, I LOVED this video!! Great insight from one of the best One Pocket players!!! Thanks Karl....and Scott!! Oh....and what a gorgeous cue!!💜
I really waited for this video since I saw the post on facebook. Totally Worth it! It's really good to listen to the stories of the pros like Scott so many insights. He also have a good voice like JJ and Karl. Love this kind of pool videos, and I think this is Karl's longest video. Looking forward for more videos like this. Thanks!
This is the best what is in the case I have watched karl, What a fabulous cue.. custom cues always look best. And not to mention, Scott is a player with an unparalleled knowledge about the deepest details in this game.. also shows how passionate he is. Keep up the great videos about what is in the cases Karl, we are looking to more custom cues and not players who are just sponsored..
Awesome and interesting video. Thank you Karl for these open and intimate interviews, and Scott, thank you for sharing your thoughts on gear and the great stories!
"What's In the Bag" includes way more than the thing that you carry your sticks in. Scott proves this right here. He's a smart, articulate and immensely talented cue man.
I want you to know that this interview was/is the far and away BEST interview of a top pool player I have ever had the pleasure to watch!! I have watched about every pool interview there is because I'm a very serious player in my own right and I enjoy hearing what other players think about different pool-related topics. Karl asks great questions, acknowledged several times by Scott, that are not the run-of-the-mill stuff these guys usually get asked. Karl, I am going to subscribe and binge watch all of your content, Brother!!
So sorry for a dumb question. I have been getting into One Pocket and watching everything I can think of. Is there any reason to have a break cue as it is a soft break to start? I don’t see anyone drilling it. Thanks Scott and Karl, you guys are amazing players and awesome champions of the sport of all billiards! Thanks for all you do!
I loved this episode! Besides "what's in the bag" you should consider doing more interviews like this. History is very interesting, especially since part of the pool scene is a bit underground.
Cuetec breach is the best break cue on the market and yes their shooting cues are phenomenal. I think the jump cue is just cheating but my shaft is chipping away for unknown reasons that no one can figure out. Does piss me off but it still works just fine obviously.
What a great interview 👏 all of us players who can hit a ball and gamble it up some,,, what great insight on the big money game and what it does. I remember in my days climbing put of the 5,10, 20 dollar bets to 100,200,500 bets to the 1000+ bets. You play a couple of those 1000+ sets and then you play the 20 dollar sets and you completely lose your focus,,,, its awesome to see and hear an upper echelon pro talk about it.
Scott, you probably don’t remember me but we met at LU billiards in Coach Wilson’s room. We played a rack of 9 ball and you taught me a positional shot. You came to St Charles/St Louis during that time probably to meet the cuemaker. This was in 2014ish. One of my buddies is also sponsored by same cuemaker, who I met while playing a local tournament. You also mentioned that there is a great break tip that you’ve been playing with. You said you would give one to me. I’m still waiting 😂😂. Can’t even remember the name of the tip.
Karl, this man is the fundamental difference between pool in the US and pool in Europe. US players don’t want to be known. Too bad for the fans because man there are some sharks in the water. Great interview pal!
Maybe Euro players see pool as a sport and US players see pool mainly as a gambling game ? If you gamble a lot, I don't think you want everybody to know your face 😂 In Europe (not every countries), gambling is poorly regarded and gives pool a bad reputation. When I was young, I remember how my pool hall prohibids gamble after some fights between gamblers and police raids to keep the gamblers under surveillance (in France, gambling games are a state monopoly)
Yeah, personally I prefer the sport mentality. I’d much rather watch the best play the best. I was just stating that much of the reason that we don’t get the best always playing in tournament play is due to this difference in culture.
Thank you everyone for the kind compliments. Thank you Karl & Lawrence for doing this. I’ve definitely got a face for radio 🥶
Dunno if you know this, but your voice sounds amazing and soothing. Great commentating on the US Open.
Scott I hear you in the commentary box during the US open last week. It was great to hear your insights. I think the last time I heard you commenting was some open pocket and Corey was in the booth with you and we were like Corey why would you play all those wild shots.ahhaha.
the freezer! so nice to hear you speak on the game, thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Fatboy Approved 🙏🏼❤️
Truly enjoyed your insights in this video! Thank you for doing this segment!

The best "what´s in the bag" so far that turned into an old school podcast! They don´t make ´em like this anymore😁

I really enjoyed listening to Scott's gambling stories. Would love to see him do more commentary with Matchroom in the future.
@Karl Boyes this is by far one of my favorite types of pool videos. Please keep them coming for all the pool enthusiasts out there. You rock!
Thanks a lot
Sir was asked to show what's in his bag but instead showing his whole house! I've never seen/heard all these knowledge before. Phenomenal 🔥
Was one of the best wasn’t it! Scott’s a great guy, there will be more to come from Scott
man...i could listen to Scott talk about his cues and pool, in general, for hours.
Great job Carl, we need guys like Scott more involved in pool, he has so much knowledge of the game!
Cool to see a pro mention Andy Gilbert Cues...good friend of mine and all I've ever played with! 🙌

Yes! I think a round table interview like you mentioned would be utterly fascinating!
Joe Rogan needs to interview this legend. what an episode it's going to be!
Nice throwback mention to Bonus Ball. IMO Scott and JJ were the best 2 coaches, and now they end up being great commentators. Scott would probably make a great Mosconi Cup coach too.
The best what’s in the bag ever. Loved the stories
Awesome interview... Love his idiosyncrasies, proves that players are nuts and we'll admit to it 😉 Would really love to see deep dives like this more!!
That was by far the best custom cue I've ever seen! Very fitting for a player of his caliber 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Scott is one class act I just can’t get enough of listening to him talk
Great video, it is so nice to hear stories from these amazing players! Keep up the great work!
My fav interview so far, what a wealth of knowledge and true pool artist

Incredible! Best one yet. Scott needs a podcast.
Fascinating! It's so intriguing to hear about the cue and the money games!

Great interview and stories. Really like his commentary and hope Matchroom bring him in to do it more often.

Leave it to Frost and Schmitty to come with the amazing stories. Two of my favorite storytellers and commentators there, true player's players.

Karl! Why is your video volume so much lower than other channels, I always have to put my headphones on for these what's in the bag videos.
