Really enjoying your channel. I’ve been playing golf for over 50 years. Just got my membership at a golf course two years ago so now I’m playing more than ever and I’m retired. I’ve watched a lot of TH-cam instructors and your channel is very unique. I’ve been fighting with positions, and find it frustrating to get a natural swing. I was amazed how accurately you can hit the ball. All your explanations makes sense. I changed my grip and started to implement your pushing away and pulling down technique. Well guess what I got my first hole-in-one yesterday on 165 yard pin. Thank you so much. I gave up watching all other golf channels (and unsubscribed), reels and lessons. GGC made the biggest impact to my game. At the first glance it might sound too technical for some, but in fact it is the most understable "language" on what you should do and feel. What a relief and time saver - thank you so much.
Your broom/pulling on the handle videos plus a lesson with Paul took my 7 iron swing speed from 78 to 88 in one day! Swing feels so much more solid and actually loaded on the downswing. Great feeling, thank you.
As I see it, this video puts together your whole theory of the swing! All of the elements are there. It is a bit of a complex move as you say. The most difficult part of this for me is the feeling of pulling the handle toward the target line from the top and then pulling it down and left as the left hip moves back. It feels sort of over the top but when it is done correctly the ball flies as straight as can be! Great summary.
It sure does, and may lose a fee, but those avid followers of my channel will get so much from it. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and thoughts! Best wishes Stu

Others tell one what to do but don't back it up with meaningful understanding. I teach myself. I have been done many rabbit holes, but now I only really listen to you. Questions I get when working on my game get answered by you in your videos. No-one else has managed to answer these questions. Like why do I always push it to the right etc? Your explanations of lifting the handle (and other stuff) just answered this. There are so many examples of this kind of thing. Sometimes I may have difficulty getting to grips with some concepts, but as I work on my game I get these eureka moments when it all makes sense! You seem to have an uncanny knack of posting the perfect video at the right time for me. I have recently thought to work on sequencing but had questions about what moves when. BANG! Here is the perfect video! My game is getting better and better. My handicap is gonna get slashed once the handicaps unfreeze for the winter. Fantastic video. Your explanation and visuals are superb. The gem I took away was feeling the weight of the club whilst it's on the ground and the analogy you used about doing a dead lift was spot on. I compared the two techniques: 1. with all of the weight of the club on the floor and 2. just lightly touching the floor and I was amazed at the takeaway difference. Although I am not a hover of the golf club, I will begin to place it lightly on the ground so that I can feel the weight of it before I begin my takeaway. I, too, am not a proponent of positional training, as it's as you described, static positions which is not a golf swing. Thanks for sharing and keep up the excellent work. Cheers.
Great coaching...you explain concepts better than any one out there......I have a huge problem with my swing....curious if you could possibly do a video on it....I hit everything on the toe of the club....I mean every shot irons or driver....according to uneekor I swing about 9 degrees from the inside..(too much I'm aware but can't seem to shake that either)....hit everything on the toe.....kills any distance....I have a bad back and have a hard time getting much turn so I am very much an arm swinger....I can stand closer.....line up on the heel....line up on the toe....same results no matter what I do...TOE STRIKES.....all of my shots have a ton of left spin on them...making most of my shots hooks...or from day to day a two way miss....but mostly hooks and distance killers....even shots that I some how manage to zero out club paths still hit on the toe.....any help would be greatly appreciated....I could upload/send video if needed....I can't be the only weirdo with this problem......
Watch my grip series, fix the grip, fix the face to path (hook bias) and watch my ultimate ball striking drill video and you my friend, will be fixed. Best wishes Stu 😊

The best video of many. The pull in the downswing is sending me to Shanksville but when I can move the pressure in my lead foot in the way you describe the results are incredible. If it was easy it wouldn’t be worth doing!

I’m hitting the ball further now at 52 than I ever have thanks to this channel. I had two eagle putts on Saturday and Sunday I drove a par 4 and green side in 2 shots on a 540 yard par 5
This gentleman has changed my outlook and as a senior golfer that is a paradigm MOVE in my head space. I am out driving my contemporaries. All of them. And hitting the center of the fairway. The CENTER. I have played the last 3 rounds with the SAME ball. This has never happened in decades of golf for me. Splitting the fairway with confidence and distance. I am a 15+ handicap. I shot 78 today in a 15 mph wind. Thank you from Texas! I thought I knew how to play. So much wasted time and frustration listening to idiots. Let Stu teach you people. Knowing where the HANDLE goes/moves is everything needed to spank it with the clubhead. If you move it properly and precisely you will be amazed

This is brilliant coaching. That's why I call you The Master I really believe that your coaching is going to take my game to the next level Thanks a million. I'm still going to get on Skillest with you. Does it benefit me to get on there without having videos of my swing?
I think you have nailed it Stu. Over time it does get simpler. For me, I pretend that I am field on incoming ground ball coming from my left quadrant. Like you say you push out so you can lift up. In fielding a ball you absorb the balls energy so you can send it up the back chain in order to send back out to the golf ball. Once absorbed the pressure does flow from the right foot up the mid line and then the sacrum falls toward the left heel. As the sacrum is falling the club is tipping back. This blended motion is how you spiral into the left side, without going external with the left leg. Good stuff Stu..
@@ST-xg3gyPersonally, I don't start my swing with the club grounded behind the ball. I trigger my action as I go out to the ball in my final measure. Kinda like fielding the ball with my glove hand. The Glove/Club brushes the ground behind the ball and is now sent over my right shoulder..
Hello my friend, as always thanks for another great video Stu, always enjoy and can't wait till you release new videos, keeps me in suspense and excited on what you're coming out with next, have a great day Stu, be safe my friend.
12:26 Really enjoyed video thanks. I raise my left foot in backswing/takeaway, so I by ‘ planting’ my foot back down at start of downswing is it the same as going from toe to heel? Thanks Gareth
Great video! Can you explain what makes a club heavy? Is it the clubhead heavy by adding weight, shaft heavy or combination of shaft and clubhead heavy. I have been adding weight to some of my irons to see if I had better awareness of where the clubhead and I find I am hitting much better . Thanks much!
Hey Daniel, weight to the club head first, then apply a little to the shaft. Super happy to hear extra weight has increased awareness. Love this... Best wishes Stu 😊
Morning Stu. Great content as usual. What was the video about how to use the feet you referred to at the back end? Link didn't show at the top of the screen. Love the shirt btw 🙂
Perfect explanation I presume that the only missing part is then the timing of these pressures with where the club head is (the mass your moving) at any given moment.. Allowing the biggest possible momentum build up ,right?
Enjoyed the vid and worked hard with this at the range today, hit some very good shots at first, but then it lapsed into a lot of pull hooks or push slices, even the odd shank, and couldn’t get it back. Obviously not timing the various moves correctly. It does make sense, but feels like a lot of work needed to get comfortable with this
I have a question regarding the pushing down on the cøub through impact, and how low the handle should be in relation to making the club head tilt up and down. People say at address the club head should tilt slightly up, not be completly flat, but at impact the handle is a bit higher, and the clubhead will lay flat on the ground. However, if i push hard down on the handle through impact, the club head arrives at the same angle as address, not flat, but tilted upwards slightly. Am I overdoing it? Or how do you explain that whole situation, should it be flat, tilted, or what is your oppinion?
When you do the move slower and move the handle out towards the ball line then push down and let the club finish the swing, I am now assuming we do not do so much of this when actually hitting the ball at real speed. I say that because I kept doing that move and swing ramping up my speed slowly and then because you really have the club so laid down, or shallow and then make that move to complete the swing, I now have a horrible case of golfer's elbow. I am in good shape and strong, and yet have a feeling when you swing, that move has to tailor down or you will pay the price. Which I now am. So am I correct that you don't actually move the butt of the club towards the target line that far during a full swing and compact those moves to a more apt swing that won't damage your elbow? Thanks.
Your elbow issue is coming from your grip; almost all golfers elbows come from poor grip causing over rotation of forearms and excessive force and load through the elbows. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu.
@@GoodGolfCoaching I don't think I can weaken my grip any more. I have a strong grip. Like not neutral but keep going 90 degrees from weak grip. But I will try to make it a tad stronger. And try to make sure I am not over rotating. Thanks.
@@GoodGolfCoaching I guess I could have given more information. I had a 7.2 handicap from the Reds, and an 8.3 from the Whites. I don't use woods or drivers, all irons. I have only been playing for less than two years, but I spent the first three months at the range 6-8 hours a day working on my swing and took 5 lessons from five coaches. I have a club head speed for my 8i now around 82 but I was at 93 mph. I hit my 8i, when I am hitting well and flush, around 167. I hit my 5i 205 and my 2i around 220. When I did try a 3 wood I was around 240. I actually dialed my 8i back to 155. I have a SwingCaddie 300i and a Garmin R10 and the deWiz watch. I went from a neutral grip to now seeing pretty well all my knuckles. I can separate my top from bottom and thus, can move my hips first through the zone, or last. Or time it out as a race for the arms and belt buckle. My short game is now where I want it. I started off really hitting long irons, at that time, my 3 iron was my favorite club. I then started working on the short game and that effected my long irons. I have good days and bad, like most. I know you won't want to hear this but I am a straight ball hitter. No, I live by a straight ball flight. I may now want to learn how to shape the ball just so when I am off, I can understand the flight better and correct any path/face to get back to my straight ball. When I used a neutral grip, I did throttle or turn the screw or whatever phrase you want, to square the club. I did so by barely starting the club turning and then let gravity finish. It wasn't hard to hit straight thru the hitting zone. My problem was my weight on my back foot moreso than I wanted. I learned how to get my weigh forward but after time, seem to gradually go back to my trail side and thus, I can hit very high and still far, but not compressed and disappointing shots. When I do your method and go with the butt of the club towards the ball line, I really rip the club down towards my left waist and that snaps the club into square and I get compressed shots. But over time, my elbow gets tender. Granted, I just found your channel a week ago. I was using more of the hockey stick style but worry not, I have not migrated towards the Tommy Fleetwood umbrella and have no intentions of doing so. I started off all arms and hitting hard. I went to more chest and body rotation and dialed back my CHS. I have a great up and down ratio and love my short game, most days. And my putting saves my bacon. I just wanted to ask if we shallow the club too much and then whip that club over and down to finish the swing, if that could lead to a golfer's elbow. If you feel I am over rotating the forearms, will keep an eye on that. I have had some heavy draws or really snap hooks, but that was mostly with the hockey stick style and I am moving towards your technique to rid the dreaded snap hook. Again, thanks. Oh, and maybe I should add this in: I have played 58 rounds in the last 36 days and finally took the last few days off to rest the arm. So maybe I was over doing it a tad. Oh, bullocks on that. :)
I find that I can load up/swing my way into the backswing reasonably well however at that time, I start to think "HIT THE BALL" and I honestly believe I struggle more with the point of contact and even mores-so the proper finish than I do with the backswing. I appreciate that they are intended to be one contiguous move however mine might be an issue AFTER the backswing. ???
The element I struggle with is there seems to be two transitions. The first is from the back swing to the down swing. The second is transitioning from the pull of the club handle to the release of the club head. I am finding it difficult to synchronise this element.😮
I know i said bad coaching , Sure 100s of golfer does that and even pros. So there is many ways for back swing and one way for down swing, Sure. But when you say goof golf coaching you should go for PERFECT GOLF TEACHING METHOD. What starts downswing? If you are relaxed at top of swing with that wrist cock. Very bad You can never be idle at top of backswing.. There is looseness in that wrist at top because comfort is transferred via wrist cock. So most golfers do adjustment at beginning of downswing. When amateur sees it and copy and end up in more problems. You have to break down swing as single operation and backswing as single operation. Why we need back swing? We all know its for power. if your wrist cock sacrifice power what is the use? if you make adjustment at top then you are lazy. Every action has counter reaction. Backswing and downswing is single action. No gap. Nothing idle. it can slow down tiny but its not idle. if player change wrist position at top , they are losing power. Do tiger wood have best iron shots or driver shot? No. His wedge play was pretty good during masters when he won first time. People must talk gravity only. How do we exploit gravity to hit longer so we spend less energy.
@@GoodGolfCoaching There are only one are two i say nice words. Why Amateurs Can't Swing Like The Pros find that eric video. Watch orange shirt guy. his swing shows he understood the swing But again he also wont say fully because he knows what he feels.
Nope not overdoing it as there will be enough “sag” in the shaft to fill the gap with the toe up at address. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu 😁
Would that be the same swing for the driver ?
Yes Sir! 🙌
Thanks for all your insights.
Without seeing you, I cant help you im afraid my friend. Best wishes Stu
At he address, you seem to have your hands closer to your waist. than mine are. Is that a crucial aspect to your method?
Hi William, I aim to get the handle of the golf club to sit underneath my shoulders at address. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu 😊
The element I struggle with is there seems to be two transitions. The first is from the back swing to the down swing. The second is transitioning from the pull of the club handle to the release of the club head. I am finding it difficult to synchronise this element.😮
Please watch some of my leg action videos, would be a good start point if you are struggling with this. Best wishes Stu
😍
❤️
Just teach Linn grantt swing. She got the best swing better than hogan at present.
Simple ideas are often for the simple…
I know i said bad coaching , Sure 100s of golfer does that and even pros. So there is many ways for back swing and one way for down swing, Sure. But when you say goof golf coaching you should go for PERFECT GOLF TEACHING METHOD.
What starts downswing? If you are relaxed at top of swing with that wrist cock. Very bad
You can never be idle at top of backswing..
When you’re ready, you will understand my coaching.
@@GoodGolfCoaching There are only one are two i say nice words.
Why Amateurs Can't Swing Like The Pros
find that eric video. Watch orange shirt guy.
his swing shows he understood the swing
But again he also wont say fully because he knows what he feels.
Each body feel different
My feel is based on if a human has perfect body balance.
What would he do.,
What linn grant does. its like magic
She is not tall or biceps of those korean girsl.
She wont win until she fix her putting skills but her swing is hackers dream
No idea what you’re talking about. Continue to be the way you are in my channel and I will block you
BAD coaching again. Wrist cock is bad , you already introduced errors. This is what most golf school teaches. Once introduced error its in long journey of self correction. Man go study best golf swing and use your common sense. before you make video.
Will let you continue on your journey.
Love this vid Stu ..❤ since the lesson have really been working on your teachings with great success 🏌🏻 think I'm getting it ...will be back for an MOT check soon 😂
Thank you so for the kind feedback Richard and look forward to catching up soon! Best wishes Stu
