Thank you Stu for another brilliant video ! Truly unique and much against the mainstream instruction. Your explanations are always clear with brilliant demo’s of good and bad. I’ll go put this is action as it’s a “mini swing” of your swing routine.
This is the only part of the game that I can confidently say I excel in, and in my perception, much of it comes from moving as if imagining that my club weighs a tonne. It's a heuristic that I feel achieves much of the desirable traits you describe here. It is reaffirming to hear you describe some of these feels and perceptions.
Chipping is an area of golf where there is just so much contradictory information (garbage) out there. It is also an area where, almost more than any other aspect of golf, consistency of outcome is critical by which I mean that roughly the same swing delivers the same strike, roughly the same launch and spin rate resulting in the same ball flight and same roll out. The added problem with chipping is that we need to have more than just a stock shot, you also need the high shot, the low runner, the one hop and stop shot and the understanding of when to use each type of shot. And yes I definitely need chipping lessons

Angle of attack 2,3,4,5 degrees would be untraceable to the human eye nicely put,but the ball would gives us that info Stu would that be correct? you dont mention using the hands Stu. come on Stu chip and pitch statement, wow!
GX Gloves, excellent 👍 I'm a good chipper so I'll skip this one but I agree the speed of the motion is absolutely critical and you have to have a mental and muscle memory you can go to. I practice with air balls on the carpet at home. A nice tight lie and you ain't chunking or digging there or the wife will k#@l you
You didn’t have to watch, could have switched off? Or even better, say thank you and move on? Up to you though, either way, I welcome the feedback good and bad. 👍
Absolutely brilliant explanation, especially the diagnosis of what we do incorrectly….👍 and ‘it’s all about nerve’ hits the nail on the head💪
Thanks so much Andy. Glad you enjoyed.

Thanks so much Peter! Let me know how you get on please 🙏

Thanks for sharing Chris, good insight of your thoughts. Best wishes Stu
Watched this and the other chipping video yesterday, tried it on the course today 🤯 so easy. 👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks so much Matt - glad it provided some solid results. Best wishes Stu
Great video love the visual with the broom really puts things in perspective!
Thanks James, glad it helped.
Another beauty. Any grip adjustment required?
Thank you! For a stock chip, no, zero grip changes.
That was pure brilliant great knowledge
Thank you so much Edward, much appreciated my friend.
Great content!
Thanks Darrell. Appreciate it bud.
....its amazing how the 6 inches between the ears can screw up a golf shot. The broom always shows swing flaws beautifully. Thanks Stu ⛳🍺
Pleasure Gary! Have a great weekend. 😊
I have the same problem with yips when chipping & pitching.
Hope this helps Tony.
'understanding that the energy between the handle and the head needs managing'
That's about the point I dozed off.
So lovely of you to share Steve, really appreciate it Steve. Thanks buddy.
Great video, stopped a bit quickly though 😮.
Gosh, apologies. Will upload again, strange! Thank you 🙏
Stu and the famous broom!
Amen Garry!
But is it the original broom 😀
🙌🙌

Well said Justin, huge topic and lots to learn!
How can you do a good chipping lesson in the studio....take it outside on the grass.

@ Sorry if you thought my comment was unkind, it certainly wasn't meant to be.
👍
How about going to Woburn Golf Club and do a session with Dan Grieve?
In time perhaps; right now I’m a good trend and keen to stay on it. Thanks though, taken on board 😊
I learned to chip off hard wood floor or on a green, best way to learn
If you don’t have the yips watch this video.
Thanks Robert!
@ usually the best instructor on the Internet I must’ve slept when I watched the chipping. It got a little over my head all right

Hi John, not a chance. Impossible for 99% of people to tell what the angle of attack is doing for the golf ball. Hope that helps.

Haha GX sure are great! Always stay on the right side of the boss 😎
only after 13.40 minutes i have seen a useful moment. The rest was how to do it bad. Is that good teaching?

No it's not.
No it’s not what Stephen?
