Asparagus and Chicken Vegetable Stir Fry

Asparagus is available in North America most times of the year but is especially abundant and cheap during asparagus season. The growing season for asparagus in the northern states and Canada typically begins in early May but depending on the weather, can start as early as the beginning of April. Asparagus season lasts six to eight weeks in which farmers are harvesting every day.
Asparagus can be steamed, boiled and grilled but it is especially delicious when it is stir fried. After much practice including a great deal of trial and error, I have come up with a simple procedure to produce a winning asparagus and chicken stir fry which is served on a bed of rice.
