Tolkien's works, or at least done using ONLY his canon. Yes, I agree, if possible, using the actor(s) who portrayed our most loved elven characters.
I like Thranduil. He is vain and has a weakness for beautiful things, he is a real party beast, but he also takes his responsibility for his people very seriously. Its continued existence is the most important thing to him. He has the strength to stand up for himself and avoids conflicts, but fights when he has to. He is very close to nature and knows that he can only survive in harmony with his environment, not against it. He keeps his feelings under lock and key so as not to impose himself ?! But if you get him to open up, they are of surprising depth. A king like the wood elves could only wish for.
