How can that ignorant lady elf who falls in love with a dwarf he just met judge King Thranduil who had lived thousand years and who had fought and survived countless battles. Who had lost his wife and father in an unimaginable way.
Didn't think any elf could be hotter than Legolas in LoTR, then BAM! walks in his father, lol. Thranduil is the perfect thing in Mirkwood has to offer.

Lee Pace did a very great job at portraying him. You just have to watch about the subtle facial expressions he has (especially eyes and mouth). They say so much about what´s going on inside. And elves feel deeper than humans and a partner is like a soulmate. If you loose them, like Thranduil lost his wife, it´s normal to close up and be wary and dismissive. That doesn´t mean he is a bad guy. This video shows this very well - great job!
