What people don’t seem to get is that the disordered eating is likely causing the obesity in the long run because it ruins your metabolism
Whenever you mention an obese person exercising and eating 2000 calories a day it’s motivation to lose weight healthily before I become like that so it is helping me maybe in a different way

I walk 7-10 miles per day at work. I sometimes lift 15-30 pound objects above my head 200+ times a day. I went to the doctor to talk about my difficulty with losing weight, talked with him about struggling with anorexia for years, and he still recommended that I exercise more and try fasting, avoid fast food (at the time I rarely ate fast food) and avoid unhealthy foods.

Losing weight is simple. Consume less calories than you burn. If you aren’t losing weight, you either aren’t doing that or you aren’t doing it for a long enough period of time to see results. Your doctor is right. It’s very very rare for it to be anything else.

@user-nl3sf4cb6n anorexic for 2 years. Ate less than 800 calories per day, still exercised. Should I have simply eaten less? Maybe instead of a can of tuna I should have just eaten half a salad? Or would rhat have been too much?
Maybe one broccoli leaf? Please explain how I could have possibly eaten less than 1 smoothie and a can of tuna a day

If you want to lose weight walking won't do it. This is why people who say they walk or do something so short isn't working. If I lift a ball that's 5lbs all day nothing happens compared to If I speed lift 50lbs balls. It's a matter of your effort over your attempts

@alanspaz5935 *facepalm* people like you are why people die from anorexia.
I move 800+ pound racks on a daily basis. I walk 7+ miles a day, I lift 20-30 pound objects above my head sometimes over 200 times in a day. You're answer "eat less, exercise more". You are why people starve themselves to death.

10 miles is barely 22000 steps. 1 mile isn't very far, it's easily walked in 15-20 minutes. You 15-30 lbs mean nothing because your using the same muscle groups instead of all you muscles. If your not doing vigorous exercise where you sweat, have a bpm of 220 minus your age for a total of atleast 30 minutes a day your not exercising. I don't consider walking exercise at all because most people don't walk with fast long strides as your supposed to. You're not exercising at all.

This woman cares more about the people's emotions and their word than reality.clearly she doesn't know that facts don't lie and if someone is saying they try doing x y or z and get no results the person is 1 lying 2 not actually doing it long enough or 3 isn't doing enough of what they claim/pushing themself to sweat.

100% of obese people who came to my gym regularly weren't obese anymore after a couple years or less. The most they have is loose skin they need surgery to remove. Most obese people who don't tend to drink cool aid or soda and eat breads, pastas and fried food regularly. It may be harder, but they're obese because they never tried to not be, this includes people with thyroid disorders, diabetes, chronic pain, and many more ailments. The people I see burn the fat have many different reasons they gain easily and every single one has burned it so long they don't quit.

Kind of a big difference between someone who's classified as obese and someone who's 600+ lbs. They get classified as obese based purely on the mass to height ratio, regardless of whether that mass is muscle, fat or bone.

But they do just eat. 😂

  • @countchocula5379

Lol that’s not entirely true. Fat people generally eat more and move less. Sure, some people have a genetic propensity towards food addiction or maybe a higher weight set point, but that just makes it more difficult for certain people to be lean. It is not an excuse to be morbidly obese. If you ever watch the 600 lb life shows they typically outline what they usually eat and it actually is something like 14 McDonald’s meals. Eating a high volumes of healthy low calorie density food (vegetables & fruit) and maintaining consistent activity levels will in yield a healthy body. People have to be honest with themselves. “Am I REALLY eating a clean diet? Am I actually exercising in a way that is making me healthier and am I staying consistent?” Really though.

The entire point of the video was that you can’t translate what you see on my 600lb life to every fat person that exists
