Idk why your channel is this under rated with the high quality of videos you are outputting. Lately I have been extremely curious about the china EV market and you have so much information compared to every one else here, good job man!!
Do like the brand Hiphi, lucky enough to see it this past week, the X and Y at Goodwood, love the tech inside them, would love to become an embassador for the brand!!
I do like what Hiphi are doing. How they will do in Europe with very little brand footprint even in China remains to be seen. I had a little one on one with the CTO & Co-Founder Mark Stanton ,who used to work for JLR, at Shanghai Auto Show. He walked me around the Hiphi Z explaining everything, very excited about what they were bring to the market. Variety is the spice of life. And Hiphi add some variety to the EV market. Crazy Variety. But still variety.
The Chinese EV market is filled with so much variety and choice at every price point and segment its astonishing to look at Europe & the US. Maybe you like the Hiphi Y, maybe you don’t, but it’s just one option out of so many.
Can you please do a test drive on the brand new Buick Electra E5 please because it might be coming in North America and I would love to see review of it
Hiphi is funky and high end, sort of like Lambo ev. new made in china impact. Nio is more lexus like in car culture. more mainstream but also made in china.
They need to put the charge port on rear Left or front Left side. Both Zeekr and NIO get that TESLA has the best charging network and that for most of TESLA's older stalls there are issues for non TESLA's fitting in and using the short cable. In Europe and North America and Australia, a badly placed charge port can literally break a sale. Especially in the USA where there is now an avalanche of planned adoption of TESLA's plug and socket.
in China it’s on the left. But some of these showroom videos might be flipping the camera. check on our et5 video. 45secs in th-cam.com/video/kLzzKofCBL4/w-d-xo.html
For AC charging in Europe, liking or not liking to carry a charging cable is not the point. You have to have it for AC as many AC chargers are just a socket.
But it’s good to see these Chinese EV companies recognising some differences and need in the European market. Here in China all chargers have cables, no need to bring you’re own
Personally the G9's downfall was always it's pricing. They've fixed that now and seems to be an uptick in sales. The G9 still has the most comfortable rear bench seat of any EV I've tested

Wow, thank you!
Not really sure why. Maybe I should make more of an effort to remind people to like, share, comment and subscribe in the videos

The US could use EVs like this.

Hiphi CEO, used to run Cadillac division in shanghai. btw.
CTO for Hiphi is a British guy who used to work for JLR. Hence the Meridian sound system and digital rearview micro
those gullwing doors = excellent for those over a certain age* with back probs.
* or any age
That's an interesting point. But I can certainly see that being true.
when will you have time to try the tank 300??
we focus on EVs…Tank is not

I wonder if they will change it for European models…NIO NT2.0 don’t have AC changing ports in China, but the European models do.
@@ChinaDriven I have noticed the charge port on the ET5 on the rear right in China showroom videos.
@@ChinaDriven Yes the European models do have it there.

Worse than the Xpeng G9, but quite good anyway... A much brtter interior than the low quality materials of Tesla...
Better than G9, both drive and view. I used to be an engineer of hiphi
@@Bamboo-Ji wow amazing work.
