this is tech next level. the design is amazing but the fact that they call it a moving house and put a 17-inch screen in the back is shameful. These mpv's cant have less than 20 inches screen in the back. Should be regulation. Xpeng x9 did it well. a 23 inch back screen with Rolls Royce star LED in the roof would complete the package
The tech is great! some complain about the 17in but it is a far superior OLED 4th gen 3K unit with 1100nits and Dolby vision. so in terms of quality it’s much higher then the X9s screen. they could have downgraded the screen quality and gone with a bigger unit. that was the trade off.
This is a great and well research review. Your videos are always so great and entertaining to watch. Thanks a lot for uploading. I am just wondering how well this will sell, as it is not a hybrid like the other Li Auto cars.
Well it allows li auto to probably penetrate the large cities in China where there are numberplate restrictions on non-BEVs. The premium MPV market is not massive. But most of those are business orientated. Li is trying to focus on family here. And they say they are aiming for 8,000/month and beat out the BMW X5. That seems super ambitious. But so far in Li Auto history they’ve made good on what they say…so I’m not so quick to say it’s not gunna happen. If other OEMs made this claim I’d laugh my head off.
My only hangup is the price. I don't care about styling, the interior is great, the recharge times amazing (assuming there are chargers available), the range is great, the comfort superb. The brand? Unknown. Quality and support could be an issue.
In China Li Auto is a known brand now. If they go abroad all new brands face the same hill to climb. Expanding dealership and part networks. In China Li auto has decent reliability. But this is their first BEV. But their L-series have proven to be reliable and I haven’t heard anything bad about company support
@@ChinaDriven yeah.. except that Ive never seen them overseas.. its a big hill to climb. But the car is exactly what I want assuming it works well enough and can get parts and service, and if the price comes down
@@acasualviewer5861 right now li auto is only in China officially The pricing is fair for what you are getting. Especially if you put it against a high end Toyota Vellfire/Alphard which run $100k+ in China. Li Auto is a very well known name now in China. The quality of their vehicles resides solidly in the premium segment. Rumours/spy shots of a small Mega BEV have started to surface.
The key benchmark is the 3rd is the loudest row by a margin. And that is quieter than the rear of a Maybach S-class. The interior talking section was shot at 120kph or 74mph to give some context.
@@GadgetyMV it’s a good thought. And maybe in the future I may. Honestly you guys don’t get to see how hectic and time limited we are especially on these media days. But it’s something I’ll keep in mind. Thanks
I personally am beginning to love this vehicles aesthetics but I just find it funny that the CEO, when first looking at the design concept for this vehicle, said “I’ll kill all my employees and jump out the window if the final car still looks like this.” Hint: It looked basically like this car… Guess they were horrified about the necessary design needed for the space and sleekness but still did not compromise the function for “style” haha It’s become much more popular in China but initially everyone was making fun of this car, calling it “The Coffin”
Best review of the li Auto Megastar I’ve seen so far 5 ⭐️ review.
Appreciate the kind words

This is what we want..send it!!!!
What about the MEGA do you find the most exciting?
need Li Auto in NZ, and Nio, Zeeker, Xpeng, etc. too.
Bro owns a Nio
Bro doesn’t fanboy nio
Bro review Nio biggest threat competitor
what a guy
Appreciate the comment. Got to be fair as possible.
Good review bro!!! Keep it up
Appreciate it!
Great review. If given the choice: would you prefer it over the zeekr 009. Hope we get those cars in europe. Ideal for family trips. Tow hitch?
You’ll get the Volvo EM90 which is a Zeekr 009 dressed up as a Volvo.
Neither have a tow hitch. But since they are EVs I guess they “can” tow things

It looks like a Cybertruck and a Prius made a love child 🥲
Great design! Well presented. Would have liked to see actual numbers in dB for interior noise at a few example speeds.

Thanks for the reference! Could you use an app on a phone to get some reference measurements in the future? @@ChinaDriven
