for future reference selvala is an enter the battlefield trigger that goes on the stack regardless of the creatures power. it only checks power when the ability resolves.

The templating for the 'intervening if' clause is “When/Whenever/At [trigger event], if [condition], [effect].” (CR 603.4) whereas her trigger is formatted "When [trigger], [effect] if [condition]." Nice game, was fun to watch!
I love these Paper Night Paper Fight VODs! About the "I'm engaged" comments, maybe asking questions to the audience relating to the kinds of format you're playing could help? Unless you're enjoying them of course ;)
the brief convo about elesh norn off the finale reminds me of my favourite time casting that card. It was in my Ghired deck and I knew at least one of my opponents had instant shenanigans but they let the finale resolve and waited to interact during my combat step as I definitely had lethal on the table with the finale buff. So i got archon of valor's reach naming instants and since the archon didn't use the stack they couldn't respond to it and the guy holding up teferi's protection was rather sad
At first I was kind of against the no swearing policy, but all the accidental swearing is even more funny. [I do realize the benefits of having a family-friendly channel and encourage the channel to do well for what it's worth :)]
This will legit never happen but it would be absolutely hilarious to have Gibb play a game of Commander. I get that it would be way too difficult to adlib his responses to things.
Nice to see Selvala getting some love. The day she was spoiled for Conspiracy, I went nuts redesigning my Karametra deck. Deck's still being tweaked today, but the consistent factor has always been Selvala and the group-hug atmosphere she brings to the table. Pro tip: If you see Selvala drop early, just kill her outright if you can. The card advantage she provides for all players seems fair, but the incidental ramp accelerates your deck well beyond what your opponents can typically keep up with. Those three dislikes are from people who have lost games to this well-dressed elf.
One way i heard about dealing with the tempt spell for lands was getting things like strip mine to destroy the land combo the player is trying to assemble.
I bet the next "Mail Time" video may or may not contain a series of new "stream colored sleeve boxes" from friends. I would totally send a couple new sleeves in, had I the chance.
