To the comment made by Alex if he's played commander in this version of the Moon Base, can confirm he has played at least one untelevised game with me and my son when were there for his Make A Wish visit. Was super awesome to sit at the table with him, and my son had an absolute blast!

I'm so glad Wheeler is on the CAG. He really understands that EDH is the silly format while still participating in other very spikey formats. Ben keeps forgetting his zombies aren't legendary. Like when he tapped his Braids in game 2 for mana to cast the Anguished Unmaking.
Super stoked to see Alex using Deadapult! Years ago there was a competition through dailymtg to submit decklists for players to use in the Invitational, when that was still a thing. The challenge for deck construction was that they had to include at least one card that started with each letter of the alphabet (and I think there were six total cards that started with X at the time). My submission was a red/black zombies deck I titled "Zombie in the hole!" that included Deadapult as the D card.
I haven't seen anyone mention this but when Wheeler pings himself for one, that actually doesn't trigger Spectacle. It specifically states opponent takes damage....

That is a regular part of Commander no matter what power level you play Commander at. My favorite way to explain Commander to a Magic player that I want to play with is, Commander is the Custom Lobby of Magic. The end goal is the same, and the game is the same, but you change the rules as a group. You decide the number of players, you decide the life totals, the ban list the starting cards in hand, the mulligan rules, everything.
I love all 4 of you folks, but I really recommend assessing power levels beforehand - poor Wheeler had the coolest deck flavor-wise but Ben was archenemy on both games...
LOVE to see Commander on FNPF, and especially these dope theme nights! Though I will say I'm always a little sad when there's a very steep power level difference at the table. It felt a bit like everybody was doing fun on-theme stuff, and then every card Ben played was just a must remove bomb rare
I just put together a Ratadrabik deck for my birthday (which also happens to be Halloween hey pretty cool) so I’m very excited to see Benana playing that deck.

You should play Artist Constructed some time - Vintage rules but all your cards (optionally including basic lands) must have the same illustrator. It's fun for gimmicky jank events
I dont know if i am just missing something, but wouldn't the resurrection orb still bring back Sheoldred? it just says "return it to the battlefield", not "return it to the battlefield from the graveyard"
Whenever cards change zones they are treated as new objects. Once the creature leaves the graveyard, regardless where it goes to, it is no longer the same creature.

I genuinely don't know how to feel about prisoner as a costume. I've been in a weird place ever since starting to work in social services and connecting with prison reform and prison abolitionist advocates. YT comments isn't really the vest place for this, but I don't have many places to talk about it. Maybe it's to say - been having a lot of compassion for people handed horrific life circumstance, and lot of anger and how society isn't effectively held accountable for how awful and oppressive it can be to live in. Half of my interest in Magic is escapism versus genuine authentic happiness, and maybe I just leave these communities alone as well. Feels like there's nowhere to go to make anything better in this world, and that seems like an accurate assessment of powerlessness and is not misplaced pessimism.
@@LotofNothing Therapy doesn't help discomfort with status quo society or systemic disempowerment. While sometimes genuinely useful, we've also started using therapy to dismiss and blame individuals for problems that are external in nature and outside of individual empowerment to fix. And I'm not your friend - I'm a total stranger whom you've given well-intentioned but frustrating and unusable to. And yes, there is harm in good intent with bad impact. I recommend reading a resource like Mad in America for more on the limits of therapy and the modern framing of mental health.
