Many Magic The Gathering players ask the question, 'Why did Professor show his morph and not block with his deathtouch?' Answers: an accident, and senility.
Or instead of swinging out with the 14/14's you could've wrathed the board. Just copy chainer again, cast bane and flip for x=10, which was the max you could do.

"Ladee has a crazy amount of power on the board, so I'm gonna kill the guaranteed board wipe to earn some favor with her and take the 1 in 70 chance I'll draw my other board wipe after Prof and Josh are dead." Big brain Jimmy at it again.
Truth be told that deck, the combo variant at least, can draw through most of the deck in 1 turn with the commander out, so he had more like a 40% chance to draw the board wipe in 1 turn, and it would get higher during the following turns. Btw I'm just spitballing the % based on other games I've seen.
You don't get anything for winning, and making an exciting video is worth risky plays.
@@Juliett-A what would have been exciting about the rest of that game though if noone had drawn a board wipe and everyone just died a turn later? Winning doesn't get you anything, but I'd counter that it's more fun when everyone does their best to try and win since it generally makes games last longer and it also makes a victory feel more earned. Plus it's also nice for new players to see the application of lessons Josh and Jimmy try to teach on their podcasts; threat assessment being the lesson in this case.
Max Morgan Jimmy was banking on Ladee killing Josh and Professor, having them wiggle each other down while advanced his board. Regardless of how it turned out, I’ll take this threat assessment over the one episode with DJ using Utter End on a Managorger Hydra with a Planar Bridge in play

Judging by the past few games it seems like he's given up on politics. At first he was laying off because he had the reputation and it was getting in the way of deals. But after the game with Wedge's bullshit attempts I think the spirit has died

@@thomasgraham8035 In all fairness, Ladee Danger and Prof's early blood feud was exploited by Jimmy once Ladee got all those Adephages out. All it took from then was Jimmy misjudging the offensive power of Prof and Josh-never a good idea-and for Josh to have a board wipe handy-which was obvious when he didn't advocate for Jimmy to ally with Prof and keep Bane of the Living around. He'd never willingly sit silently with that much power on someone's board unless he was VERY confident in his ability to answer it. Once Prof decided to wound Jimmy on his way out(in lieu of re-copying Chainer, discarding another card, re-casting Bane and either using it as a bargaining chip against Ladee or immediately flipping it to kill everything), the victory became Josh's. His value engine was simply far too much for Ghired to match, even if his Ral whiffed.
gotta say josh seems to win the most he kinda earns getting a target on his back even before a game starts, i generally don't care for watching josh kick off because it has gotten kinda boring lol
Did anyone even attack him this game? He started all the feuds and then just hung out laughing while everyone pretended he wasn't at the table. I think all the damage he took was from himself.

@@tonybayer2546 I've had good luck with Scarab God. Cost me somewhere around 80 bucks in February. Not sure about beating good stuff (my playgroup is very budget-minded) but it's real fun.

So n=5 and p=0,5, and the probability of not winning any of the rolls is equal to 0,03125, so nearly 3% chances. You are really able to complain, Josh.

Couldn't Prof just make a chainer copy again because he still had the counter on him, re cast the boardwipe morph for free, and then un morph it that turn?
At 2 life and against three decks containing red, he knew that was probably going to be his last turn regardless, so he decided to at least take someone down with him. I respect that.

And god forbid players make mistakes and/or decisions that aren’t always optimal. Cause that’s what everyone’s goal is in every situation when making a show for entertainment.... optimal strategic gameplay. 🙄

I bought the Kadena deck cause this episode, and a year later they are still my mine commander deck.
It seems like the way Josh played the game, flashing back tons of things for value/card draw he really should have used the original commander.
You know he just could not avoid playing the card that lets him cast most his cards with flash 🤣

Prof brings so much extra to these games. Let's get him back! Great content from the command zone with Game Knights! Also I would love to see more precons played with you guys. I get a lil tired seeing the same old busted expensive af cards on TH-cam. Precons are real magic, what most people play, it's great to see how well these decks play when they're played correctly.
I want Aeon engine to become so ubiquitous that I can sleeve up an uno reverse card and everyone at my playgroup would allow it. Let’s make this happen people!

The Professor is easily the best guest on this show!!! Video after video his expressions/reactions make me laugh until I have cramps in my ribs from laughing too hard. I love each and every episode of Game Knights, Tolarian Community College and all of the guests on both channels. I especially love to watch Ladee and her awesome " cards " .

What's with everyone playing instants as sorceries? It's kind of irritating to see. If the professor actually used the land as an instant instead of sorcery he wouldn't have wasted two turns on it.

Its definitely annoying. The one reason I can think of is this game is meant as an advertisement so they want to make it simple for new players. Also there were some poor game play decisions that I am thinking were on purpose to allow everyone's commanders to live so they can show them off.
That suprising last turn from the prof...i guess you can never read that guy
Really love all of these decks, the token and morph decks especially tickle my fancy
When the giant appendages were in play. There were so many incredibly big misplays. Jimmy could have cast alchemists greeting so ten appendages would do four more damage so prof would die. The same thing goes for beast within . Putrefy has no reason to blow up scaretiller. If he put it in response to the populate trigger, it would fizzle the populate and he would effectively reduce 14 power. And the biggest one is prof could have recast bane from the graveyard and then wipe the board

She just drew it for turn OR she would have done it on Jimmys endstep but he killed it for her.
So many strange plays that don't make any sense in this game. Why did everyone essentially play at sorcery speed? So many abilities or instants were activated on the respective player's turn. This game did nothing but frustrate me.
EDIT: By destroying the morph instead of the other sub commander, it would have then been exiled and further removed it from her worries.

I just played my kadena deck last night and I must say I loved every minute of it didn't even think I would like morphs
Saying that scaretiller was good design made me vomit in my mouth a bit.
Its a 4 drop that might ramp a little, but has 0 synergy with any of the decks, but is in every single one of them.
Seems like they are just blowing hot air into wizards.
They said the card was a decent design. They didn't say it fit the decks. There's a lot of cards like that in commander decks. A bunch of the partners in 2016 didn't fit their decks AT ALL but were good cards

Beside, there should be some value to making cards with synergy if you are going to put them in a pre-constructed deck and not just in some kind of pack.

Lady Misplay would be more appropriate...
Danger's mistake near the end was keeping her commander and not the Gargoyle. Depending on if she had enough mana, she could have resummoned him. Instead she was left with a commander and no tokens for her to populate.
I first thought I had a favourite deck, but as the game progressed, each deck seemed pretty cool. Damn, I might have to buy all 4

JLK my brother, your commander is so much stronger than that! You have the ability to look at the top card at ANY TIME. So you can look at it, and potentially cast it with flash and keep doing that before you even draw for turn. Elsha is cray cray. Nice win though 😉

Instead of a coin flip, a die can be used. Just have to announce which half of the possible results counts as "heads." Josh chose all even numbers to be "heads," before rolling, so that is still a 50/50 chance, just like a coin flip.
At about 55:00, he rolled five d6 dice for Ral's ultimate, results of:
1, 3 and 5 are tails &
2, 4 and 6 are heads (cause he decided/announced that beforehand). He rolled all odds, no extra turns. Yet he still won.
You must flip a coins because rolling a dice creates a 33% more chance to gain from it. But as you see here it was a 66%chance loss
An effective card is effective, but a morph could be anything! Even an effective card!
Sombres a morph could be anything! Even a boat!
Morph can even be plainswalkers eventually and even dragons morphs are anything.
Morphs are terrible people
