I actually don’t do esports anymore but I think that 98% of what you talk about can be added to other sports
Your doing a amazing job on your channel

Absolutely! These are ideas that can stretch into any kind of performance.

@@eathletelabs real sports is how ive already known about a lot of what you talk about in your videos
a lot of what you mention is either stuff i already knew but needed to be told it again and reminded of it
or stuff i know but didnt know i knew if that makes sense lol
but i agree it doesn't need to be sports at all, these things can be applied to most things in life i think, just slightly different ways

Well said. Dr. David is correct, and I concur with each talking point presented in this video. Emotional Intelligence or Emotional IQ. I have nothing more to add. Well done eAthlete Labs.

    I have a question:
What do I do when I’m still learning, and yet constantly being chewed out, cussed at, and told to quit by other players who are impatient for me to be perfect? I have a hard enough time having confidence in myself, let alone when someone is screaming at me and telling me how bad I am… Like, dude, I already know I need to improve (I’m not pretending to be a pro); but if I don’t ever play at all, then that means I’m not even giving myself a chance to get better. 💔😢

I see where you're coming from, everyone was a beginner at something at some point. Frankly, I would just block these toxic players if you're playing team games. They are dragging everyone down with this approach. Nobody was born perfect. It could be also useful to find a group of players that you could play with that don't mind that you're still learning.

Depends on your own personality and what you're willing to do. Options run across a spectrum really and include, among others:
      - Finding/befriending a few people who you can play with to help you learn who know that you're a beginner and are willing to help you along
      - Attempting to tell randos when playing when them, maybe up front "hey guys, I'm pretty new to this so I'm sorry if I fuck up a bit. I'd definitely appreciate any advice." - I've used this approach in a few games, such as doing dungeons/raids in WoW and people have almost always been more understanding than they otherwise might have been.
      - Muting everyone and enjoying the blissful comms silence
      - Muting anyone who's an asshole to you
      - Leaning into their anger for your amusement to help you keep your cool - take little shots at them, give them "u mad bro" type comments and laugh as they lose their shit.
      - Go full toxic and get angry back at them. This should obviously be the least desirable option because it'll very likely make you miserable. Sometimes in small doses it can be good for blowing off Steam if you've been holding back frustration for a while though.
Edit: Goddammit, you made that comment a year ago. Ugh. Well, maybe someone else will find it helpful.

I find this really true especially the anger part. I played a lot of football (soccer) and just games. Back then I used to get very angry when things didnt go well and would play way better. Nowadays I dont get angry anymore and I feel my level of play have dropped in everything.

    • @EskoShorts
      @EskoShorts 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@Matias yeah maybe I explained it wrong but I do hold myself to a very high standard when I play football. I am a very bad loser and I do get angry at myself since I expect a lot from myself and from my teammates. I can give an example. I am dribbling the ball pulling defenders in so I can pass the ball to a free man or just go past. I get chopped on my ankles multiple times. I used to get angry trash talk and sometimes it would go out of hand almost too angry, but I would play better if that happens. Now that I am calmer and older I just let people talk. Honestly I think you are right to a degree tho I just need to find that switch again so I can get in the 'zone' more easily.
I used football as an example since thats my main sport but the same applies for games but in a lesser degree.

I was pissed after facing 15 and a half million AWPs in a CSGO death match. I prayed to the God of all gamers in my time of rage, and then hit deagle headshots that were impossible before.
