Hey Jen, there are 2 "Hitman" Movies based on the Video Games; I can't Recommend the first Movie from 2007, but I Highly Recommend the second Movie ("Agent 47") from 2015!👍
The actor playing "C" (as Bond calls him, and we all know why!) also provided the best incarnation of Moriarty in Sherlock - consider watching them, too. Thanks, JennyPenny, you're a trooper.
Love the Bond Reactions. Monica Bellucci became the oldest woman to play Bond girl at 51. She previously auditioned for the role of Paris Carver in Tomorrow Never Dies
Yes, Monica Bellucci is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. 😍 She is in 'The Passion of The Christ' (2004) as Mary Magdalene. And she has a very brief parts in Matrix 2 and 3.
Also, when I saw her in Matrix I didn't realize that her first big movie was Bram Stokers Dracula in which she played one of the vampires who seduced Keanu Reeves.
Jen, I must say that YOU are the best Bond reactor on TH-cam! Thank you for the dedication and journey. Also worth mentioning 50k!!! Congratulations, but, you deserve sooooo much more. Here as always thank you again...Eric 😊
If you shine a laser onto a pane of glass the reflected light will transmit the vibrations created by the people talking in the room. The device Bond had attached to his gun at the start was one of these laser mics and that's how he could hear the conversation from the other roof. It was nice to see a real gadget being used.
42:24 - "and now we know what the c stands for - careless" - careless is _not_ the word any Brit watching this thought of first. Nice subtle little joke there. 😄
I'm amazed she didn't realise until then. The title of the film is literally Spectre, Blofelds organisation and Madeline tells Bond their enemy is called Spectre but it didn't seem to click with her. The chances of the makers not to put Blofeld back in charge are virtually nil, so surely Jen should have known before the movie even started who the villain would be.
There was a great joke just after this movie came out, I think from a TH-camr, but it also feels like it could have been from an SNL skit. It was when Blofeld was listing all the bad things that had happened to Bond over the years, and saying that he and Spectre had been responsible for all of it. “The eggs you had for breakfast on June 10th, 1994 that were too runny? That was us…” 🤣
James Bond reminds me of so many things. I was a teen when I was electrified by the books. And the movies happened throughout my life. Beautiful women, luscious locations, fancy cocktails, bowler hats that kill, and many more. Now I can add Jen Murray to the list of Bond reminders.
When I was 16, I was electrified by the strobe camera we were using in a physics experiment. I can tell you that the bond books that you read were nothing compared to the electrification by the faulty wiring on the Strobe I was using. I'm glad you enjoyed the books, but I was feeling pretty hyped up for the next 12 hours after my electrocution.
The casting of Andrew Scott as 'C' was quite... layered. At the time he was famous in the UK for playing Moriarty in the TV series 'Sherlock' - and in a lot of ways Professor Moriarty might be thought to be the original Blofeld-type villain, especially the version of Blofeld we see in Spectre, where he sits anonymously at the centre of a web of organised crime...
Hi Jen! Not sure if anyone has ever mentioned it to you, but Hulu has a documentary of sorts called “Becoming Bond”. It’s the story of how George Lazenby got the role as Bond for “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” and why he was only Bond for one film. It is spectacularly entertaining and I think a Bond aficionado such as yourself would really enjoy it!

Great job Jen! You missed the identity of the 'henchman'. Would you beliebe it was Dave Bautista? His one line was "Oh shit" before being pulled off the train! One other Easter egg to know about was the name of the safehouse back in London. It was called 'Hildebrand' which was part of the name of a Bond short story called 'The Hildebrand Rarity' (the plot of which formed the basis of Octopussy). Really enjoyed this one - onto the big Finale now....Hugs from Sweltering England.
It’s such a joy to watch you get so excited about everything in this film and all the Bond films. I knew you would like this one! And yes, now…there’s just one more to go, but make sure you watch it all the way through, to the end of the end credits: there’s a lovely little denouement that’s promising.
I know I've commented this before, but when in London, I stay at a hotel right across the road from the MI6 building. I've watched a few Bond movies while there. That demolition scene hits a little differently when you're so close to the real place. Quite an imposing and intimidating building in real life too.
The actress who plays Miss Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) gave her best performance as an actress in her role in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' saga as Tia Dalma / Calypso.
Christoph Waltz used to host a kids TV show back in Vienna in his younger days (think Sesame Street type show). It's weird seeing him playing all these villians and then singing and dacing with what are basically Austrian muppets.
Jen, your recollection of the prior Bond movies is awesome. So glad to see you catch all the call backs and Easter eggs. Thank you for sharing your Bond journey with us!
Jen is so great at this, you are a true James Bond fan! I have been watching Bond movies since the beginning and still get misty eyed at times. Love them all...
That was so awesome, idk why this entry gets so much criticism. Fab villain, outstanding #2 villain. Great twists, great Bond women. I love it. The penultimate Bond already? Tempus fugit. It's been unforgettable, 00Jen. Thank you for your service. 💜🕵 14:50 Apparently the thumbnail extensions Mr. Hinx has on are made of granite. Definitely an updated version of 'Jaws', Hinx was a fab Bond #2 opponent, I thought. 32:04 The fight scene on the train has Bond retreating to the kitchen with a look of genuine fear for his life on his face as this seemingly unstoppable behemoth advances. In all the of Bond movies I've never seen 007 look so worried. 43:06 He'd been expecting Mr. Bond. 👍
Jen has real champagne?! She's one step closer to being a secret agent. I have to hear more of Jen's video game opinons sometime. Mass Effect and Hitman both came up in this reaction, so I'd love to know more about the games she likes to play. And I know I shouldn't be surprised by now but I love it whenever Jen makes a reference to previous Bonds. Like making out on a boat at the end.
After watching her react to all the Bond and Mission Impossible movies, I think if Jen were cast as Jen Bond, she'd insist one of the sexy villains Bond sleeps with would be played by Henry Cavill. X)
Fun fact! The torture scene in Blofeld's lair takes dialogue almost 100% directly from Colonel Sun, the first Bond novel written after Ian Fleming's death by Sir Kingsley Amis. It's the only non-Fleming novel that has had material featured in an EON James Bond movie (officially anyway, some links could be drawn to some of John Gardiner's Bond novels influencing some decisions made in the EON Bond films). There's even a thanks to the Amis estate in the credits at the end of the film. Also, you mentioned that part of the film resembled a level in Hitman. If you don't already know, IO Interactive, the developers of the Hitman series are currently working on a James Bond game. There's a short teaser trailer for it, but no gameplay as of yet.
Before going with the Sam Smith track, the studio approached Radiohead to write the theme (just search Radiohead Spectre), and IMO theirs is one of the very best Bond themes ever. Presumably the studio wanted something more radio-friendly, but the Radiohead track is 1000x more interesting. The channel Listening In also has a fantastic musical analysis of it as well if that's your cup of tea.
That's very interesting! I wasn't aware of that and I love Radiohead, have seen them live. Will need to look up the thing you mentioned. I think relatively new UK band London Grammar would do a fab Bond song if they had the chance and also Lana Del Rey has a very suitable sound for the task too.
Glad you appreciated the excellent sound and music in this! I like how Vesper's leitmotif comes back in L'Americain, and there's a theme for "family" too. Also love the octatonicism in the climactic scenes.
It took me 64 years to watch all of this franchise, and you get to do it in a year! You kids today are so spoiled… I’m glad you enjoy it so much. I have no idea where EON Productions is going to take Bond now, but I hope it remains worth watching.
If this was ever confirmed I haven't seen it, but I think when Bond tries to trigger a gadget in his car and the stereo starts playing "New York, New York," causing him irritation, it's an in-joke about one of the last Bond stories written by Ian Fleming, called "007 in New York." It's one of the only titles in Fleming's catalogue to never be used in a Bond movie; although part of the story was used for the ending of "Quantum of Solace." Any time a new Bond movie is rumored people wonder if it will be "007 in New York" but I always love him going to other countries and cities. It's almost like they're telling fans "It's a bad idea, stop asking!"
The ending really surprised me, because it was the first james bond movie where the main villain got arrested in the end instead of killed. Sure, the old Blofeld survived a few movies, but he was always pressumed dead, Bond tried to kill him and he just got away somehow. This time, Bond actually decided to leave him alive. Except for this, Spectre feels like a very classical bond movie to me. We have one main villain with a big plan to take over the world, James Bond is travelling through various countries, following traces before eventually getting into the villain lair and blowing it up. Also, we have the classic team with Bond, M, Q and Moneypenny now. The first three movies with Daniel Craig were all very different. Casino Royale had the main villain killed not by Bond, but by his own organization, just to show Bond that there is actually a bigger plot going on. Quantum of Solace picked it up there, but didn't finish the story, instead there was a totally new villain and besides all this, James Bond had to deal with the loss of the woman he loved, which was also a new thing because in the old movies, the Bond girl from one movie was completely forgotten in the next one. And finally Skyfall came with a story more focused on M and a villain who was mainly seeking revenge. Spectre felt like "back to the roots" for me.
AND a Mass Effect fan? You're too awesome, Jen! Great reaction to a great Bond film. I'm an oldschool Bond fan, have been since I was a kid and grew up watching Connery. His will always be to best of the series in my eyes, but Craig's series is top notch. Love the whole run he did, even the less "popular" ones. It was so interesting seeing a take on Bond that was book-ended as its own thing (something I didn't know I needed but did), instead of just a perpetually updated-to-the-times movie every 5 years. And took the idea of what "Bond, James Bond" is into a legend status.
There's a cool thing about the Day of the Dead parade in Mexico city, that wasn't a thing that actually happens, but after the movie city officials thought it seemed like a cool idea so they've started doing it for real - they even use the leftover props from the film.
Jen is the best…”Oh, yeah. Press all those buttons.” Jen’s Bond reactions are the only reaction I’ll watch of movies I’ve never seen. She’s just that entertaining. Thanks Jen!!
The Bond community can be so exhausting in so many ways, so negative. Jens reactions are so positive - its a breath of fresh air. Kind of makes me enjoy SPECTRE more.
If you like Christof Walz (I hope I spelled his name right), he plays a "good guy" in Alita: Battle Angel. It's a live action futuristic dystopia film based on a manga :) I hope this comment helps your algorithm as much as my "like." :)
Very Interested on Jen's take on This Movie. Perhaps since I really enjoyed Skyfall I was expected to much from Sam Mendez, but it didn't do it for me. So I am really interested in your take. I feel you are more forgiving than an old man like myself. Have fun and enjoy!
Spectres are not trained, but chosen. Individuals forged in the fire of service and battle; those whose actions elevate them above the rank and file. 🙌🙌🙌
James Bond may be a great hero but it takes a great villain to balance the story. This one was well balanced and action galore! This movie is well made and worth your time!
Agree , Ernst Stavro Blofeld doesn't die , though in this movie Bond didn't kill him , its an even Balance. If you see On her Majesty Secret Service ,George Lazenby Blofeld is not dead
This installment was good for how much Bond's world was changing. Connecting these films and what threats await do become challenging. Sam Mendes was the 2nd director in Craig's era to make back to back films. The artistic liberties taken with the practical-ness of this have great ideas to keep things interesting through Interwoven storytelling. I never thought we'd see the faction of SPECTRE again on screen. The arch-nemesis of Bond and M16 in the original novels and first films. Christoph Waltz as Blofeld and Batista as his main muscle, Hinx was perfect. Even Blofeld's pet cat is a staple (wasn't expecting that). Actress/model Monica Bellucci (Lucia) was the oldest Bond girl ever at age 50 and infinitely gorgeous as always. Lea Seydoux as Madeline (M:I-4 Ghost Protocol, Blue Is The Warmest Color), the only girl in his life is a very rare kind of role and hasn't happened in the series since the late 1960s. The theme song by Sam Smith is wonderful and deserves every award it won. This would've been the last Bond film for Craig. He wasn't looking to play the role for awhile. Glad he did at least one more afterwards.
A lot of people considered this to be the weakest one out of all 5 but i enjoyed it. It has some good moments, I loved seeing blofeld again and Madeline Swan was one of my favourite Bond girls.
I felt like Quantum was the weakest of the five. And personally, my favorite Bond girls were Agent XXX from Spy Who Loved Me and Solitaire from Live and Let Die. Madeline is a good Bond girl, but something about those other two just stood out as beautiful women to me. Kudos to Monica Bellucci in this movie, she's the oldest Bond girl (50 at filming) and still absolutely stunning. We can all only wish to age so well.
@@insrtcowjokei quite like quantum and no time to die i consider the weakest i wont say why tho cause it would be a huge spoiler for jen but its still a good film
@@Lumarooo I think the problem was I found the villain and his plot for Quantum to be underwhelming. The stakes never felt as serious as they usually do, for me. But I can respect the opinion of a Scottish Bond fan. :D
@ninjabluefyre3815 I knew he was a big deal from the old ones. I think everyone knows of the villain with the cat. It was definitely better on re watch, after seeing the classics
1:54- Me too. It's so cool!!! 4:30- Aye, neither should planes, but Denzel Washington thought different. 14:38- Ahhhhhh, it's my boy, Batista!!!!! 29:49- Yay, the Train fight.
Some helicopters can fly upside down. The opening helicopter scene is real - no CGI. It was flying upside down only 30 ft above the crowd, with stunt doubles in it fighting, near buildings and right next to another helicopter that was filming. That pilot has some skills. Could have gone very wrong...
Craig had a leg cast on during much of the filming for this one. More close-up shots for action scenes. Solid opener I always thought. I love the cinematography, it's well framed. Blofeld twist is not my favorite however.
I've enjoyed every one of your reactions to these films. Once you've finished the last one, (after celebrating with a martini), please consider doing a ranking / tier list video! With how much passion you have for the series, and having watched them all in a row like this, would love to see how you rank them.
Didn't he also do ROAD TO PERDITION? Great film, I think Jen would also love reacting to it as well. American Beauty is an excellent suggestion though. I second it!
The next and last Bond film is incredibly polarizing. I happen to think it's great. Some people hate it. Either way, looking forward to your reaction. It's been fun!
I consider this an underrated Bond film. I find it to be a very enjoyable time. Hopefully you enjoy the last one coming up, because I enjoy when you enjoy movies. @@samuelterry6354 Skyfall is a mediocre remake of The World Is Not Enough that removes everything interesting about it to make it bland. And Goldeneye is just massively outdated and boring.
@@DeweyFinn21 Ok fair enough that your opinion. Can't believe someone would say Goldeneye is boring; hard disagree. I wish the other Bronson film were actually closer in tone and pacing to Goldeneye.
I remember during the whole promotion of this movie, Chrisoph Waltz was like "I'm not Bloefeld, I'm not Bloefeld". Then when the movie comes out "Psych! I am Bloefeld". I really don't see why the big secret.
I was literally just logging on and wondering "When is Jen gonna Post 'Spectre' today" and Voila! Not My favorite of the Craig Bonds, but it does have some really Epic moments...including the Return of Jen's All-Time, Favorite Bond Villain!
@@e.d.2096 Hey Eric! Sorry, I've been rather distracted lately...My Mom & I both have been sick, on-and-off. But no way was I missing this one... How have You been?
There were legal issues from them from using the Blofeld character and Spectre group until before being resolved before this movie. After No Time to Die, please do “Everything or Nothing”. Fantastic documentary about everything Bond.
Wonderful reaction to Band as ever you fangirl Jen! And your comments on the music are just brilliant... The plot is O.H.M.S.S. with a flipped ending ;)
If you haven't seen it I would love for you to react to the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic games as Bond himself features heavily. I won't reveal any spoilers but the piece is called 'Happy and Glorious'.
Every one of your Bond reactions have been a joy. Can’t believe the journey is concluding! It’s like finishing a great massive book. What could come next that matches the scale!? How about every John Wayne movie? He basically plays the same character in all his films.
❤❤❤ Well done, Ms. Moneyjenny. I can't believe that 24 are done. The song in this reminded me of THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH. I'm going to weave a little tapestry. Back when Sean was James and Roger was the SAINT, Patrick Macnee was John Steed, one of the AVENGERS. When they got around to making the AVENGERS movie, Ralph played Steed. So he does actually have on-screen, field experience. I love how there is much discussion on the music in these movies. When soundtracks were on vinyl, I had them all. Still do. There are some great videos on the Bond movies songs and on the songs that were not selected for the movies. You might want to check them out. You may also want to see Daniel as a cowboy with a sexy lady vs. a not so nice Harrison Ford. COWBOYS AND ALIENS. Hug the beasties
OFF COURSE! We love to see a Mass Effect Legendary Edition Let's Play by you, that would be so cool. Especially since the new Mass Effect is not that far away.
Hi..Bond's Car, ment for 009, is an Aston Martin DB10... Aston built this car for, and only for this film.. they made about 10 of them, at quite a cost, and there are about 3 left... :)

Presumably the studio wanted something more radio-friendly, but the Radiohead track is 1000x more interesting. The channel Listening In also has a fantastic musical analysis of it as well if that's your cup of tea.
this comment needs to be pinned.
That's very interesting! I wasn't aware of that and I love Radiohead, have seen them live. Will need to look up the thing you mentioned. I think relatively new UK band London Grammar would do a fab Bond song if they had the chance and also Lana Del Rey has a very suitable sound for the task too.
@@mr.a8315Try Beth Hart 'Rub Me For Luck'.
Cool dance moves at the end Jennypenny. Also, you recognized the outfit. Tele Savalas wore something very like it in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Glad you appreciated the excellent sound and music in this! I like how Vesper's leitmotif comes back in L'Americain, and there's a theme for "family" too. Also love the octatonicism in the climactic scenes.
Your reaction to the reveal of Blofeld was incredible. One Bond film to go-- I'm very excited to see your reaction to it.
It took me 64 years to watch all of this franchise, and you get to do it in a year! You kids today are so spoiled… I’m glad you enjoy it so much. I have no idea where EON Productions is going to take Bond now, but I hope it remains worth watching.
39:33 I think it was the biggest 'on screen no cgi' explosion in a movie at the time.
And now there's only one left. Happy but sad at the same time. I'm enjoying this trip Jen! Thanks!
Didn't Koskov get taken in by general Pushkin?
'So sorry, am I interrupting?' I cannot unsee Andrew Scott as anyone other than Moriarty #DidYouMissMe
I love the way you geek out to the Bond movies. I've been geeking out since 1976 when my dad took me to see The Spy Who Loved Me.
Oooo! Thank you Jen Murray for reacting to Spectre!
31:04 A dirty martini means it has a dash of the olive brine, rather than just the olive garnish.
Lol I know, I used to be a bartender 👍 I just prefer mine w 6 olives too lol
@@jenmurrayxo Personally, I prefer the Bronx.
Jen is the best…”Oh, yeah. Press all those buttons.” Jen’s Bond reactions are the only reaction I’ll watch of movies I’ve never seen. She’s just that entertaining. Thanks Jen!!
Thanks! :)
Never noticed it before but damn, at 31:33 the stunt person for Madeline gets absolutely drilled in the face by the table 😅
It's a live action futuristic dystopia film based on a manga :)
I hope this comment helps your algorithm as much as my "like." :)
I really enjoyed seeing your reaction to this one more time, Jen. Another rewatch done to help you and your channel.
Jen, M missed a great opportunity for a line when the villain fell out of the window.
He should have said..
"C ya later"
C ya in hell"
"C you"
Very Interested on Jen's take on This Movie.
Looking forward to seeing your reaction to the music in NTTD. Hans Zimmer and more emphasis on the guitar. For me the best thing about the film
Blofeld is enough reason for me!!
No Time to Die is unwatchable
JennyPenny! :D I'm always so happy to watch your responses to these films - your joy is so infectious.
This is the one that got me interested in 007. Glad to see it getting the love it deserves
What did you think of the Blofeld reveal? Did you even know who that was?
@ninjabluefyre3815
I knew he was a big deal from the old ones. I think everyone knows of the villain with the cat. It was definitely better on re watch, after seeing the classics
Even now, I'm still not sure how I feel about this movie. But always appreciate your take on Bond, Miss Jen!
Miss Jenny Penny? 😂
She won me over when she said Spectre reminded her of Mass Effect....🤩
"He's so friggin cool". Yes he is 😎
I've enjoyed every one of your reactions to these films. Once you've finished the last one, (after celebrating with a martini), please consider doing a ranking / tier list video! With how much passion you have for the series, and having watched them all in a row like this, would love to see how you rank them.
Jen, no other Sam Mendes movies? I would recommend his first and IMO, his best, "American Beauty".
It's been fun!
epic explosion in the end.
I consider this an underrated Bond film. I find it to be a very enjoyable time. Hopefully you enjoy the last one coming up, because I enjoy when you enjoy movies.

No Time To Die. I really like that movie. =D
I consider QOA at # 28 and I'm just being nice.
Why Goldeneye and Skyfall so low?
@@samuelterry6354 Skyfall is a mediocre remake of The World Is Not Enough that removes everything interesting about it to make it bland. And Goldeneye is just massively outdated and boring.
@@DeweyFinn21 Ok fair enough that your opinion. Can't believe someone would say Goldeneye is boring; hard disagree. I wish the other Bronson film were actually closer in tone and pacing to Goldeneye.
Jen doing jazz hands to the ending theme song is priceless
Jen, your Bond reactions make me so happy. It's lots of fun to watch these movies with you. Keep doin' your thing.
I remember during the whole promotion of this movie, Chrisoph Waltz was like "I'm not Bloefeld, I'm not Bloefeld". Then when the movie comes out "Psych! I am Bloefeld". I really don't see why the big secret.
Blofeld.
I was literally just logging on and wondering "When is Jen gonna Post 'Spectre' today" and Voila! Not My favorite of the Craig Bonds, but it does have some really Epic moments...including the Return of Jen's All-Time, Favorite Bond Villain!
Didn't dare hope he'd be back!!
I HATE BEING ON PACIFIC TIME! Late for the last 3 reactions. Hey Tom, where you been?

I've loved every one of your Bondie reactions Jen and I've been looking forward to seeing this 💗
Wrath of Khan ooooooh can't wait xx
This is a great Bond movie without a doubt. The opening scene is awesome!
I think the movie is terrible one of the worst bond movies
There's the Jason Bourne series, and the Mission Impossible movies when you feel that you need more action after Bond runs out.
She's already Reacted to the first 3 Bournes, and 6 Missions so far. Here's Hoping that She'll do the rest, and More Fast-&-Furious too...🤞
In that case The Man From Uncle

😊
Wonderful reaction to Band as ever you fangirl Jen! And your comments on the music are just brilliant... The plot is O.H.M.S.S. with a flipped ending ;)
Mexico City didn't use to hold Día de Muertos parades, but they do now, because of this movie.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your Bond journey
The soundtrack for this movie is super. This is my favorite DC Bond movie.
Love your enthusiasm! Especially after the reveal of the bad guy's name!
Jen has such a good energy. She could make Mondays enjoyable.
I enjoy your reactions so much that I even come back for the movies that are not so good 😅
I appreciate it ☺️👍
Awesome reaction. ❤
Love your enthusiasm. You have become my favorite reaction channel.

OFF COURSE! We love to see a Mass Effect Legendary Edition Let's Play by you, that would be so cool. Especially since the new Mass Effect is not that far away.
Congrats on 50k!
