- Here are some videos and pictures i have of my 2021 Shenanigans. It was a fun year, i cant wait for Spring when i can drive these trucks again. The last video is of a Bigcam i built, but figured you all would like to hear it too. Enjoy!
Only one better than k19.. k 38 it has a definite bark to it .
Had one in a big yacht. A 79 kta19 coupled to a twin disc gear 3:1 ratio i think. Sweet spot was around 1100 rpm. But that thing sucked fuel like it was water. The trucks sound different but still got the deep clanky grumble of a marine cummins. Each cylinder head is independent from another. Not unheard of in the marine world to hear those motors go to 70,000 hours or more.

I got to drive only one truck that had a KTA cummins and I had to switch trucks and loads with the guy at the chicken house in texarkana I believe it was, I've had 19 massive heart attacks so sometimes I don't remember exactly what happened but it's never a dull story
I guess one of my best memories was moving to California from Arkansas and getting to see the muscle truck era when the west coasters ws king of the boulevard I remember riding in the overhead truck camper and pulling in to tucumcari New Mexico and seeing a big old needle nose Pete that was cheese whiz yellow with black fenders he had lighted sticks on his bumper and he was pulling a possum belly and I remember sitting there listening to that engine going room room and I thought that was the coolest thing ever I didn't find out what was making that cool noise till about 10 years later
Jeepers... I drove a few Int cabovers back in the day and hated them... but these videos are great!
Are there extra springs on the front axle 2 make tha cab sit up that high?
Yes had to beef up the front end to hold the KTA oil pan from hitting the axel

No i built that engine to put in my cabover, but then thr KT happen and I sold it to a friend who goes pulling with it
