On super 18 spd (double od ) o.d. is better than direct , on super 18& 13 it is really low-under drive - direct on the range shifter . Road ranger is not being truthful when they call it low- direct- over drive .

How many rpms with power train valves can u push on that 19 plus liter
@JoaquinAlmaguerCorzo with Stock valve train components it's not recommended much over 2500. Mine has better valve springs so I can push it a bit higher. I keep it around 3000 when pulling.

@brucejohn1640 nope just the nature of the PT system
@@JoeyNemetz I’ve rebuilt many k19s and none have smoked like that unless it has the stc system which this particular engine doesn’t. Just stating from my experience, k19 smoking like that on idle is not normal for me
@@brucejohn1640 the timing was very retarded on this engine, all my fixed timed KTs smoked like that when cold. My HVT KTTA burns clean when advanced and smokes just like this when retarted.

What capacity is the radiator , how many gallons of engine oil , what is the clearance between piston and liner
The cooling system on this truck is 19.5 gallons the oil capacity is 12 gallons.
I don't remember what the piston wall clearance is
How practical is the kta platform for a work truck and how hard is it sourcing parts
There is still aftermarket parts for these but don't expect to find them where your broke down. Mine is pretty good on fuel considering the power level it's at.

I see many set up problems. Hx60/hx83 or hx80 1.29a/r and hx83 shaft with ht100 is correct set up
Hx60 is way to small for a 19L
@@JoeyNemetz long story short .first of all fix big turbo problems. (13 blade 106-125 1.29 a/r) you can adjust other problems later and also you can swap couple compressor wheel there is brod range of them .i must see how it performs after that I can talk about hx60 as smaller one or go for ht100 low pressure
